Marthaen watched the drow's demise with a great sense of satisfaction. But his rage was not yet spent. He roared his approval to Eden and the elephant before turning his attention to his tormentors who were watching the remains of the drow being being slammed to the ground. He wasn't sure exactly what had happened to Eden but in his rage he approved of the form she'd taken. The young dragon would look back on this day with no little shame as many of their attackers were already fleeing but they had shown no mercy and would be shown none. He used every bit of his body for destruction. Teeth, tail, claws and flame he unleashed on everyone he could reach, running or not. If it wasn't an animal that was helping them then it was something to be crushed, shredded or roasted.
Covered now in blood and gore he was indeed a terrible sight to behold and he kept killing until there was no one left in easy reach. He looked over to Eden and her friend the elephant asking in a low growl. "Should we follow them and kill them all?"

Leaping back away from the dragon's talons, a laugh escaped his lips. "Simple, our dear, talkative dragon," the man chuckled as he undrapped the hood that covered his head, revealing before them a drow covered in ritualistic tattoos across his face. "That beast's place is in a cage, along with each and every one of the others stuck in here! After all, she is doing doing it for
nothing. She is seeking protection. Empathy.
FREEDOM! Everything that we enjoy, that cat wants to taste! Freedom is not a thing that she ever had. Born a slave, and forever
will be a slave… that is her role, denounced by that metal ring around her neck…"
Eden had enough of the man's dribble now as she abandoned her weapon, rushing in as she readied her claws. However, a pulse flooded her body as a new force filled her body, arms resonating and growing fur while her hands turned into paws as she sped in close and smashed her paw into the man's face, digging it into the ground with a feral strength. As much as she questioned what even happened, she knew she had no time to even see what happened. The threat was live now, and she may as well make use of this new force.
"You… you damned bitch…" the drow muttered as he pulled himself up. "… I can see why you are a prized candidate…. BUT THIS REQUIRES PUNISH–" Before his threat could even be bolstered, the elephant from before caught the drow and began slamming him into the ground.

Marthaen in his short life had known very little about emotion. He'd found them to be bothersome at best and downright dangerous at others. He'd tried to keep himself under control whenever he could and understand why he felt any particular emotion at any particular time. He had no idea that philosophers and lovers had been trying to do the same thing for as long as emotions had been around. There's a point, I suppose, where everyone breaks. Where the current situation has spiraled so far out of control that they either become enraged or run in mortal terror. Marthaen experienced the former now. But this wasn't a wild-eyed, screaming tantrum of rage. Quite to the contrary he got very quiet as he saw Alexander die under a fireball that had originally come from him, and saw Eden pinned to the ground. No this rage was ice-cold, calculating, and resolute. There seemed little sense in fighting anymore as the trio was obviously out-matched but the thought of stopping never occurred to him. In a calm cold voice he answered the beast in front of him.
While batting away any combatants that came between them and ignoring the damage from the ones to his sides and rear he gave a little chuckle before he answered. "Beasts. Aye we are beasts she and I. As was Alexander to you I suppose. I would imagine that any animal, on two legs or four you would name beast as you seem to use that word to describe all who are not your "equal." Don't speak as you. Aren't as rich as you. And, most importantly, don't know their "place" as you see it." He began to slowly advance and quickly spoke in his mind to Eden, "I'm going after him. If I manage to distract him kill him if you can. Flee if you cannot. I'll likely not survive this encounter in any case." Then he turned back to the subject of his deep abiding hatred. "So what separates you from us? Eden loves, speaks if you know how to listen, knows sympathy and empathy. She seeks to help with no thought of reward or of cost to her. You tell her to remember her place but I don't think you truly know where that place is."
His eyes narrowed and his body quivered like a cat watching a mouse and waiting for that moment to strike before he continued softly, "Her place, sirrah, is over your cold, rotting flesh!" And without another thought he lept at his enemy. No magic, no flame. Just the desire to rend him to shreds with his own teeth and claws.

When foul smelling merc finaly noticed the giant fireball coming right at him(He was realy focused on spraying everything in sight with lightning balls) it was too late, he did not even turned his head when the flames came at his side. Less than few seconds after the ball made contact with a brief but terrifieng shriek of pain could heard coming from his direction, soon after that there was silence briefly interupted by the sound of an armored body falling to the ground. Only thing that remained of him is a burning corpse hidden underneath slowly melting armor. Alexander Krieger is dead.

The fireball that was launched at the lone man found its way halted in midair, spiraling rapidly as if still fighting through the air. "As figured," he muttered, looking up at the large dragon with a special glow in his eye… No…
around his eye, as carved into him was a tattoo of a magic around it, which resonated with his magic. "A beast only knows violence. It has no eye for care of others. Only the destruction of others. As for you," his eyes turned direction to the man sending out a thunderous volley of magical power while the flames that formed from the other attacks were collected into the ball he had., "such wastefulness. A true mage has true control of his power!" As if a calm motion of his hand, the massive ball of flame was quickly hurled at Alexander, erupting into a towering pillar of flame upon contact with the ground, whether his target or innocent bystanders were caught in it.
Eden, having caught sight of all this, gave charge with her weapon, but the hooded man simply gave a step back before waving his hand, causing Eden to yelp as her weapon crashed to the floor suddenly, finding it nearly impossible to lift, which is strange even for her. "And then there is you," the man said, looking down at the beastfolk. "You are not where you belong. After all, you think you can be a person when you are nothing more than a pet. Now, be a good girl and stay on your knees. Submit to your social status and never forget: You are simply an item."
Eden could feel herself growling under her breath as the elephant Marthaen freed came charging.

Marthaen watched Degant in pleasant surprise. He'd never seen those balls of lightning before. "That would be a handy skill to have." He murmured. "I've get to get him to show me how to do that. But for now…" And he turned his attention back to the general mayhem, grateful to have some of the pressure taken off him. In between swipes of his giant paws he took every chance to pull apart more cages as the animals seemed eager to help the trio out. He wondered if that was Eden's doing, he'd have to ask her about it some time when a mob wasn't actively trying to kill them both.
Had he been paying more attention he might have picked out the calm man's comment about knowing their rolls in life but; again, giant mob. Starting to gain more and more confidence that the three of them might actually pull this off, he let go with several more fireballs with at least one of them aimed straight at the man in question. That man seemed a bit too comfortable in what most would consider a dire situation and that by itself made him suspect.
Marthaen had never fought in a group before and found the whole thing at once exhilarating and a little terrifying. He didn't like the idea that if he made a mistake it wouldn't be just him who would pay the price but on the other hand it sure was nice to know he didn't have to worry about having to take on every other combatant by himself.

Alexander already knew what to do in this situatuion, he quickly took his magic staff into his two hands and screamed
- Hey YOU motherfuckers, you might wanna FIGHT WITH A REAL MAN, that is if you have BALLS THAT IS
And as he finished speaking a ball of lightning appeared at the tip of the staff and then flew, with very high speed, at the people attacking dragon, then in quick succession another one appeared and another, and another, another, another, another he did that so much that the balls started to look like an straight continues line instead of a series of balls. All the while the very rude and fould mothed Merc continued to spew more and more insults at his enemies at nearly the same pace as he casted his spells and like his spells, his insult started to melt into one another creating an nigh incoherent line of insults only people with the most acute of hearing abilities could dicern form one another. Other than that he was slowly closing a gap between him and all those guys attacking Marthaen. Now would be a good momment to explain why he was cursing so much right now, the explanation is quite easy he just opened the flood gates of all that stress and frustration that was slowly building up inside of him and so he was given a chance to both act out and voice his emotions.

It did not take Marthaen long to tear a cage apart, releasing a massive elephant into the crowd of chaos before Eden tore into the cage of a bear. There was rioting in the air from the voices that only seemed to have echoed in her ears, though some were just as scared as the people who were unable to defend themselves as something like a dragon, or anything it sided with. It was clear some people reacted with fear and worked to escape the sudden carnage, but the more gutsy and battle-stirred warriors and hunters aimed to lend their aid in the mayhem. They worked together to fend off the fearsome beast and, at the very least, drive it away from the event.
With another cage opened, Eden worked to catch her breath quickly before taking off, stopped by the man in armor. Her hand steadied her weapon, just in case he worked to confront her. Stop her in her duty to grant these animals freedom. However, instead he offered a hand in aiding in what was occurring. Looking around, Eden pointed the man in metal at those who assaulted the dragon's foot before taking off, to tackle yet another imprisonment.
"What a sad turn of events," a man muttered to himself, walking passed the helf-elf as he was assaulted by the beast as he screamed for help. "You think this little revolt will change much. Will turn society on its head. However, you are only as powerful as your rank, and a step below man will get you nowhere." Raising his hand, he aimed to collected the next stream of fire with anticipation to hold it above his head like it was a simple ball. "Know your roll in life and submit, you animal."

Marthaen sighed again. Things like this happened to him a lot which was the main reason he rarely interacted with other beings of almost any sort. Except for a couple of times with other dragons most beings seemed to fear him. He wasn't really sure why and even the dragons had been snooty and treated him with disdain. To be fair the only ones he'd met were fully grown and well aged and considered his actions juvenile. Which, well, he was only three… He watched Degant talking to Eden with more than a little relief hoping they could all do this together. It'd be great to have two people who knew how to fight. Marthaen had fought before, of course, but generally that just involved stepping on something or roasting someone. Didn't have to put a lot of thought into it when there were only one or two but there was going to be a lot more this time. Especially after the half-elf talked about sharing the bounty and giving them… "My what???" He roared and was getting ready to stomp the man when the tiger Eden released solved that particular problem for him. He didn't like killing things but if anyone had it coming it was this guy. Unfortunately, a lot of people who before had just been watching now started to join those advancing on them. Apparently his heart and her bounty was enough to tempt some who really should have known better.
He spat a few very small fireballs at some of the people descending on the trio at this point. He really didn't want to spew flame at the entire crowd as most of them were trying to get away and he generally didn't kill anything he wasn't going to eat unless he had to. But he knew with grim certainty he might have to kill a lot to get him out of this situation. Realizing that the other animals seemed eager to help he stretched over and started trying to open another cage on the opposite side of Eden open. He figured they could use all the help they could get. Unfortunately as he was stretched out he wasn't protecting under a front leg and took a spear from one of the more seasoned veterans who knew where to hit him. Roaring in anger and pain he finally aimed a long, thin stretch of fire at the one responsible and most others that were carrying spears for good measure. Now he was enraged and if you've ever seen a three year old throw a temper tantrum imagine one that was eighteen feet long and could breathe flame. He stopped being so careful about the innocent and even stupidly advanced t'ward the ones trying to kill him. Strategy was not his long suit but with his size and strength and them not realizing how little experience he had it was enough to dissuade quite a few from getting any closer.
Yet still they came. Too many and too fast for him and while the dead ones were beginning to pile up he was taking more and more damage which made him angrier by the minute. Finally starting to get desperate he looked over at Degan and Eden checking to see how they were doing and wondering how long they could all keep this up… "Any suggestions you guys have would be really appreciated right about now."

- Oh he was a dragon…………
a dragon …………..what is with this year and dragons, I mean realy eghhh fuck it……. - Alexander said as he watched Marthean spew fire everywhere not realy doing anything else on the account of not wanting to die a painfull and fiery death. So while there was no where to sit he, metaphorically speaking, sat down and watched the carnage that was until he heard the half elf speaking about a bounty on Dragon's Heart and on on that wierd tiger girl, his reply was the thing one could already see from miles away
- ehhhh No, gods ,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO because that would be a FUCKING SUICIDE you DAFT BASTARD egghhh seriously what the fuck? - After that short outburst he came closer to Eden and tapped her on the shoulder
- Hey can I tag along to your merry wagon of dangerous wood critters? Mostly because someone will probably put a bounty on my head from now on since I didn't do anything to stop you from tearing this place to bits.
Author: Eden, Posted: Tue Oct 3, 2017 8:04 AM, Post Subject: The Beast Within [O: L3, R]
The man was a flying lizard… that would breathe fire… Well, at least that explained why his breath smelled of ash like before. But did that mean she could speak with him? That man who "awakened" her "gift" told her,
"Now you will be able to call upon and speak to the beasts of the earth and those with beast blood as I do," so did winged lizard count? … Well, now was not the time to seek answers to that Now her focus was upon breaking the bars enough before she could give a gap for the large, white cat to escape.
"Damn it, a dragon?!" the half-elf muttered. Things were getting too out of hand for a single man to handle, so he may as well see if he could find get some extra help, even if it is from the crowd. Using the wind to amplify and extend his voice, the half elf stated, "
I AM PLACING A REWARD ON THOSE WHO CAN BRING ME THAT DRAGON'S HEART! WE WILL ALSO SHARE THE BOUNTY TO THOSE WHO HELP WITH CAPTURING THE ESCAPED SLAVE TIGER-KIN!" That, at the very least should bring in help for those who need funds…
However, it was that time when the last bit of damaged was performed, placing enough of a gap for the caged cat to leap out free, pouncing the half-elf who issued such a demand on the two. It did not take her long to leap away and head for another, this one holding a massive bear before wailing on the cage once more, feeling fine with knocking away anyone who tried to pin her down, all the while speaking with the bear in the chaotic panic around them as to why she was even doing this.

Marthaen sighed softly as things began to go south very quickly. He heard don't trust in that weird voice. He still wasn't sure where that was coming from but thought he'd figure it out eventually. He was used to this sort of thing happening but it was usually the result of something he'd done. Two-legs, he'd found, tended to be pretty touchy about a lot of things and just saying the wrong thing could set them off. The half-elf that Degant had been speaking to was a prime example. After all, if Degant was wrong about the person you could always just ignore him and if he was right there was no reason to get upset.
Asking Degant for help had proved less than helpful as the big, metal man just seemed to get angry at the suggestion. So Marthaen shrugged and said, "Well ok. But I'd owe you one. I have the feeling I'm gonna have to chomp a lot of people to get out of here otherwise and I'd really rather not. They taste awful! " Immediately after that statement Eden started hacking away at the cages. Marthaen approved of this course of action. No animal should be locked up against it's will. Marthaen himself had spent a night in what they termed jail but then got bored and left. But what he thought was ok and the person who'd claimed to want to help were obviously at odds as the two-leg started screeching and calling for help.
When Eden had pulled out her sword most of the crowd had backed away but Marthaen noticed more than a few pulling out weapons and from the edges of the crowd a number more with weapons drawn were pushing toward them. All eyes were on Eden as she started in on the cages and Marthaen gave a resigned sigh. If he was going to help his "friend" he was going to have to change. At this point in his young life he considered anyone that talked to him a friend not really knowing what the term meant yet. Though loathe to do it the young man said softly, "little me." Little meaning different things to different people but he didn't seem little to most of the people there. He stood 6 feet at the shoulder and was a full 18 feet long, his ruby scales glinting in the torch light. In the small space he'd had to wrap his tail around and from previous experience kept his neck close to the ground as it was his most vulnerable spot. For a moment a hush fell over the crowd, a few even started clapping thinking this was part of the show. Then the ruby dragon raised his snout to the sky and roared, "I AM MARTHAEN! FEAR MY RATS!" and he spewed flame a full twice his height, waving it back and forth. He meant wrath and not rats but not a lot of people took notice of this mistake. The crowd that before had been quiet and curious now turned, screaming and running in the opposite direction. At least most of them did. It was the grim faced ones that kept heading his way that worried him. It was them that concerned him because even though he was hard to injure in this form it had happened before and he really hated being stuck with pointy things. Very uncomfortable.
He turned to Eden and said in an off-hand way, "you might want to hurry. There are a lot of very annoyed people heading this way." And with that he turned and batted the first one to head toward them with his paw. The poor man landing in a heap several yards away. Sadly it never even occurred to him to help with the cages. He didn't want to ruin Eden's fun.

- First of I am not racist for I hate EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in equal measure dear sir, yes everyone and everything in equal measure, that means you, that guy near you, him - Here he points at Marthaen- Her- he points at Eden- That thing - some animal- that other thing - some other animal- that cage, an Elf named Bob who liked animals and trees little bit TOO MUCH, my Mom, my Dad, my "Best" Friend, all OF MY EMPLOYERS and, of course, myself, so you can shove that name calling up your perfect , little , round arse
Alexander said arse part, clearly through his teeth. Then he turned to Dragon-in-human form, though he did not knew that he was a Dragon-in-human form ,and said
- And now you there ,listen to me very carefuly for I do not intend to reapet myself, if you want to help me, YOU, need to pay me, for you see I am not a charity, I need money to buy FOOD, food which more often than not is hard as rock, tastes like piece of shite and is overpriced so UNLESS you have some coin to spare I am doing nothing did you got tha-
And then Eden stood up, took her sword and swung it at the cage, which probably suprised everyone gathered, well Alexander was mostly just annoyed
- YOU SEE SHE DOESN'T NEED ANY GOD DAMN HELP SO LEAVE ME WELL THE FUCK ALONE.

"S-Shifty?" the staff member responded to the armored man's outburst. "I was merely showing concern for a guest of our park. Now then, if I were you, I would hold back on any more racist remarks unless you wish to be removed from our event." The half-elf was clearly distraught by the outlandish remark that was made against him. After all, there were other elves visiting along with numerous other races. Outside of his current objective, he would rather not see violence be brought upon them.
However, when the dragon-in-human-form made his response, he was quick to clean himself, up, as if ignoring the racist human completely. "Do not mind them. It is getting near the dinner hour, so they are just hungry. We will be sure they are properly fed and tended to by staff, and any that go out of line, our tamers can easily handle. NOw then, please follow me."
"
Don't trust," Eden spoke once more in a beastly silence, pulling herself back up to her knees, head still on her hand. The noise had only gotten louder, but the words were feeling a bit more uniform. A distrust between them and their handlers. Caged animals just for show. Just like her. As Marthaen struggled to pick up her weapon, Eden's eyes locked onto the cats, speaking to it, "
Want free?"
"
Free? You mean out of these cramped cages?" she heard the beast respond before Eden pointed to her collar. She understood their pain: being treated like a show item. A simple animal for the entertainment for others. She was near the breaking point of accepting that hellhole before she found the spirit to rebel. "
Very well. Let me free, and I shall assist you in your plight. I am willing to bet there would be others who would do the same."
In a simple nod, Eden brought her hand down, heading back to her weapon (not afraid to shove the dragon aside) before picking the weapon up again , readying herself, before letting out a beastly bellow and swinging her massive weapon into the cage bars.

At first Marthaen was relieved. Someone was actually trying to help instead of just standing around gawking but almost immediately the hair on the back of his neck rose and he heard the word "danger." He looked around to see where it was coming from but didn't see anyone who looked they were trying to communicate. He did pick up on the reaction of the big cat Eden had been speaking with earlier. That one was obviously upset and the reaction of many of the other animals ranged from fear to downright hatred of this person.
By now Alexander had arrived, announcing he had nothing to do with Eden's current plight. Marthaen nodded at his words, "That's true," he told the half elf, "in fact Eden and I both like him, her more than me I think, but I don't like all that many two legged beings. He doesn't trust you at all and the rest of the animals feel the same way. I think it would be better if Alexander carried her, I carried the sword and you stayed in front of us. I don't want you where I can't see you." Marthaen was never one to be subtle and the thought that this smarmy person might be insulted never occurred to him. Even if it had he wouldn't have cared.
Having said all that he was the one pushing the other out of the way this time. Seeing the half-elfs hands on her made him very uneasy. He reached over and picked up Eden's sword. Well, he tried to anyway. Surprised he looked over at Eden. She was certainly toned and strong but this sword was HEAVY! "Ummm, on second thought maybe Alexander should carry the sword and I'll carry her." He looked down at her and the frown and suspicion flew from his features. "Is that all right with you Eden?"

- Huh ? - Was Alexander's reaction to someone yelling at him, it was obvious that yell was directed at him since the person said "Metal Man" and there is only one person, in the general area that is, that could be described as such. At first he did not realy wanted to answer that call for help but then he remebered that he needs to eat and the best way to get food is to buy it and you need money for a lawfull transaction to occur, and this kind of deals are nice since there isn't a mob of people armed with gardening tools chaseing a person afterwards. So he ,reluctantly, went to place from whence the yell came from and he wasn't exactly pleaesd with what he saw
- Oh great it is that freak again, gods, I did not hit that wierd woman nor was I a cause of her laying on the ground, the fact that I am an armed and jumpy man doesn't mean that I am responsible for every instance of someone suddenly finding himself or herself on the ground in some sort of pain but to be fair people like me are the reason for such things in 8 out of 10 cases. Also what is up with the shifty way of speaking that is kind of little bit too sweet and concerned?
The last part was directed at the staff memebr who was obviouslt suspicious on account of being a half-elf, who are, by common knowledge standards, worst parts of man and elf joined in a unholy, but often times apealing to eye, union.

"Now, now, good sir, please calm down," a voice came up from behind Marthaen. If he were to look around, he would have been greeted to a sight of one of the staff members, a calm smile upon the half-elf's face. "We are here to make sure all our guests here are in safe hands. Now then, let me take a look." Stepping passed him without any acceptance, the man knelt in front of her to look her over, flinching once he saw what was on the collar itself.
Crap! The crest of Adraejen! he found himself thinking, Eden's eyes looking up at him from the sudden action.
No matter. We can easily smooth it out and replace its old emblem, and things would be good as new… As that thought filled his head, Eden could feel the malice and threat the man began to emanate as he kept a straight face.
"
Danger…" Eden found herself saying in silence, a word that could only be caught by those who could understand a beastly tongue. If not, their ears would only be met with silence. The big cat in the cage, sure enough, caught word, and began to growl, tail raised as it stared daggers at the staff member taking a stance as if ready to pounce him. The half elf had not taken any notice of this, as if too distracted with Eden herself.
"Now then, what seems to be the problem here?" he asked Marthaen. "I am not seeing any point of injury, so we can possibly rule out poisoning through the bars. Tell you what," getting up to his feet, he told him, "why not follow me to the medical tent with the woman's weapon so we can take care of her there? You can tell me what happened along the way. Once she is inside, you can leave her to us to make sure she is just fine."
And back where she should be, lining up our pockets.

Marthaen was non-plussed by the pair. Both seemed nervous and/or confused, a feeling he was used to himself but not so much in others. The female with the interesting ears looked like she was suddenly in pain though he hadn't seen anything happen and he found himself kneeling next to her, concern etched across his features. Normally a flighty being at best, there were times when all the extraneous noises and smells faded into the background. Usually this only happened when he was angry but the sight of this one in obvious distress was enough to bring him fully aware of the here and now. But he hadn't a clue what to do about it. Maybe the man in the metal suit could help? Marthaen couldn't see him but he could smell him and he wasn't too far away. He let the scent guide him until he finally spotted the man in the crowd, there weren't many people here in armor after all and this one's size made him much easier to find.
Though slight in human form he could make a lot of noise if the need arose and he felt that time had come. "Hey! Metal man! I think this one needs help!" He didn't wait for a response but knelt again next to the small being he now knew as Eden. "You need help," stating the obvious, "but I'm not at all sure what to do." He chewed on his lower lip as he once again tried to see what was wrong. "Is someone magicking you or something? If you can walk we can look for a healer, there's bound to be one in a place like this. And if not we could just fly to one. I can carry you, if need be."
He knew she could understand him and desperately wished she could communicate with him but things were what they were and wishing was not going to be much help to her right now. In the mean time a small crowd was beginning to gather around them and he growled low in his throat. Looking around he snapped, "If you can help, help. If you can't point me to someone who can. If you can't do either of those things back off and stay the hells out of the way!

Meanwhile Alexander was wandering around the cages, trying not to think, as you do but he failing horribly at it so mouch in fact that instead of reliving his stress he only gained more of it, as you do. As he walking by he couldn't shake of IT out of his mind so he was incredibly jumpy to a degree that almost anything could set him off now so he tried not to bump into anyone because that would result in beasties getting some additional food today and that could have been either his victim or him, so it was for the better to not get into contact with him right this very momment. Besides that there wasn't realy anything interesting happening he kust looked at the animals for the few seconds and moved on but he was holding his hand cloesly to his mace.

It seemed his eyes were as sharp as she hoped for, seeing the can catch the engravings considerably quickly, allowing her to pull back down on the handle and rest her sword comfortably on her shoulder before shaking her head to his first question. Still, it made her wonder more about how she and the caged beast understood each other.
"It is because we can talk in such a silent tongue of ours," the cat replied back to her as the beast turned her attention back to Eden.
"Though rough, you can speak it quite fluently. As if it was a natural tongue of yours."But why? Never before did she ever show off this trait until now. It was confusing, but felt very natural… but why?
"The beast inside you is strong… now, you have awakened and will become more than what you are."
Her eyes widened as she remembered that man who smelled of bear and radiated power, and found her left hand moving over to her forehead. Right… he did that… but for a moment, she only thought he made a link with her then… not this… Was this what he meant by awakening?
However, the more she thought about it, the voice voices began to echo around her. Every caged animal here were speaking in this quiet tongue. Some complained about watcher's teasings. Others were broken to the point where they accepted their life style… some wanted out. However, it was really hard to discern one voice from another, as her mind echoed with each one, causing her to grip her forehead and fall to a knee. So many voices… so many…

"I'm telling you, its her. The one with the suited man who got the Brothers!" spoke a man in a distant part of the park. "Their report of their collar was no joke. In fact, I think she is also related to this." The man passed a piece of parchment over to another before the other took a look. A wanted poster for an escaped slave. Details included her beat-like appearance, massive collar around neck, and large weapon. Wanted for killing her master and escaping her confinements.
"I see…. who would have thought…"

Marthaen watched her carefully but she didn't show any signs being aggressive. Cautious yes, but that seemed to be always a good idea when in large crowds of people. You could never tell what they'd do, especially when there's a lot of them. He noticed how the big cat watched her too, as if it expected something. The two of them had been looking intently at each other as if they were talking though he hadn't heard a sound. Hmmm. Maybe they communicated some other way? He'd seen people talk with their hands and had heard of beings that could talk to each other with their minds. If that was the case there must be some other reason she'd unsheathed her sword as neither seemed angry. But now the pair were looking at him and he felt he'd interrupted something.
She moved her sword and on the hilt he could see writing. What was she… Oh! "Eden! Is that your name?" he tried the word out a few times. "Eden… I like that name. It sounds nice. Yes. It's a good name. But why don't you say it? Can you not speak?" He finished not realizing how silly that sounded because if she couldn't speak she couldn't very well answer his question. But she didn't seem to have any problem understanding what he was saying. "I'm sorry but if you're doing that mind talking thing I don't hear anything but I've been told that my mind is very small and slow, maybe that's why."
Then he saw her ears perk up and she started to look away. Marthaen looked around wondering what had caught her attention.

The man in the shell muttered to himself before walking away, leaving her to her own business, but before more could be dine, yet another man came up to see her, causing her to direct her attention away for yet another moment. While he spoke of accusations, his voice more rested upon the cautionary side of things, as if to ensure she was not going to attack the beast itself. Why would he think that, though? The beast was in as much pain as she was being stuck in the cage, so why attack it? To place it out of its misery?
Still, there was something off about this man. His breath had the scent of… soot? And his sweat was certainly different than the others she had met before as well. Well, almost. It smelled a bit familiar, but it was hard for her to place where she had encountered it before.
At the very least, she caught word of his introduction and… his fascination with sheep. What a random thing to bring up. Sure, they tasted good, but it was still a bit out of nowhere. At the very least, she could return a greeting of her own. Turning her attention towards him, she pushed the handle up while the weapon still rested upon her shoulder, as if part way through placing the weapon into a back sheath. However, she did not. Instead, she simply held it in place, hoping his eyes would catch the carvings underneath that spelled out EDEN.
During the brief greetings, her ears caught the quick sound of shuffling feet, though her eyes were too slow to move over and see what caused it. Her gut told her to be cautious…

Marthaen was a little disappointed as the large man in metal walked away. He seemed different from other humans and Marthaen always liked meeting new and different kinds of people. Even if sometimes the end result was him either running away or fighting. When those things didn't happen he'd found the experience could be very pleasant, even if it was often confusing. In his human form he was certainly not intimidating but he didn't really understand how to interact with people yet. Some of the things they did were a complete mystery to him."But," he shrugged, "if you don't ever walk among them you'll never understand them." Not even aware he'd said this out loud. He tried to avoid doing that, people even reacted strangely to
that of all things.
He turned to the female and his eyes narrowed a bit as she removed her sword. When people took those things out nothing good ever came of it. They were either about to try and hurt him or someone else but this time… her eyes were on the great cat in the iron-barred house and as inexperienced as he was he recognized the look on her face. She was considering… something. She wasn't tensed up as though she was about to attack though. Only one way to find out.
Finally he spoke, "Excuse me… (he wasn't sure what to call her so he went with an almost certainly poor choice) animal person, but you're not going to hurt that cat with your pointy, swordy thing are you? After all you both have some things in common like tails and fluffy ears. "The words poured out of the young dragon. He'd found if he didn't talk quickly people would just grunt and wander off, so on he went,"My name is Marthaen and I'm the ruby of the clan Kharendaen and I'm three years old and I like sheep. "He favored her with a smile but he wasn't really very good at it yet. People often thought he was just baring his teeth at them."Am I happy to meet you? I'm often not really sure about that until later but I hope so." Finally he finished with, "Do you like sheep? *His eyes took on a dreamy look, and he murmered something that came out as hooting and chirping rather than language.

- Ehm Ok Ignore me but ya do not want to take this blade out ,yer scaring children and the parent might not like that - He said as he just stared at her and then walked away from that wierd tiger girl person ………..
- Oh Gods it will be one of those days - he groaned as he moved away from her. You might be wondering what he meant by "One of those days" you see recently Alexander had, Unfortunatly, met some wierd folk one of them being strange not quite albino, a dragon lady and a one of those constatly mysterious jackasses and some wierd monster girl in middle of nowhere and everytime he met one of them it resulted in a fight or heated discusion that might have resulted in a fight, not that he minded the fight part he minded the WIERD part. I mean he can take elfs, dwarfs orcs and the other normal lot but those encounter were realy something and they were all clusterd in such fashion, merely days apart form eachother, this realy didn't sit well with for it only added to the fuel of IT.
He sighted as he walked "Well now I have to preaper for the worst" he thought "God know what might happen now…………….."

The bump broke away Eden's gaze from the massive cat, causing her to turn over to the armored man, tail standing tall and ears perked up. His sounds accusation were as pleasant as his smell, but then again she had been in the same seat herself. IN fact, the smell of the aged grime and blood only reminded her more of her time in captivity. Being stuck in her own cage and performances. Her gut twisted again at that reminder, causing her to shake her head to toss away those ideas before looking up at the man once more.
However, they showed no sign of intimidation. If anything, she was rather mused on how much he worked his get up to try to be as intimidating as possible. In the end, though, he was yet another man within his own personal cage, with its own little cracks to pierce through to reach in for the squishy bits. Her ears and tail drooped back down from their startled state before turning away from the man and back to the cat. However, as she stared, she curled her fingers around the handle of her "blade" before pulling it back out and resting it upon her shoulder.
Her eyes stared at the bars themselves, thinking about that night. The one wear the woman had set her free. Her mind screaming for freedom. Killing off her owner for such a feat. If she did it now… would it be like returning the favor? Her fingers danced along the handle as she worked upon her inner turmoils…

Marthaen had been out flying, he loved to fly, but now with darkness falling he knew he should land before the light failed completely. As much as he loved flying; landing? Not so much and landing in the dark was a spectacularly bad idea. At his size and weight his landings had been known to create a meadow where before was a copse of trees. But the twilight did help in one way. With no sun to glint off his scales he was much less noticable and could land closer than he normally would. He noticed the circus now crowded with people and being nothing if not curious settled as close as he dared, thankfully going un-noticed. He landed bouncing only twice and skidding a few hundred feet to a stop. "Perfect!" He thought happily. "Not one thing killed. I'm definately getting better at this." Then, "Human me," and his form changed to that of a slightly built man, unremarkable in every way save for his blood, red eyes.
He trotted t'ward the crowd remembering at the last moment to say clothes. He'd found long ago if you didn't wear clothes people would point and stare and generally be rude and he just wanted to satisfy his curiosity and be around other beings that could talk. He was very lonely even if he didn't know that's what the emotion was called, and being around people, even loud stinky ones like this, seemed to help.
He wandered through the crowd watching the jugglers, fire-eaters and the like try to squeeze a few coins from the awed crowd. And over all the bustle and din were the smells. Marthaen often wondered how people could stand being in large groups but they rarely seemed to notice and he tried to ignore it as best he could. The worst part was the food. They'd take perfectly good meat and stick it in fire for no apparent reason. He'd tried to make himself eat some but it didn't taste much like meat but more like plants and smoke. He shook his head wondering not for the first time how long it would take him to adjust. He'd eaten less than a week ago so he wasn't that hungry anyway.
Finally he found his way to the animals and started to walk past the man touting the rarity and danger of the creatures within when the man grabbed his arm, "Eight silver," He growled. He wasn't sure why he was being asked for money but ignoring requests like that when others were offering up their coins always led to problems. "I'm sorry," he said ruefully. "I don't have any silver but," he dug into the pouch hanging around his neck, "Will this do?" And he pulled out a small (well, small to him) red stone and asked, "Will this do?" When first he said he had no silver the mans face scrunched into a scowl but before he put his hands on Marthaen to throw him out he saw the stone. His eyes grew large and his scowl instantly turned into a large, if unappealing, smile." That.. that will be fine young master. And as Marthaen passed by he called out, "And if there be any other needs ye have you just come ask. Old Barnaby will see yer well taken care of. And I mean ANY other needs" he finished giving Marthaen a bawdy wink. Marthaen still wasn't sure what that look meant but he knew enough to know the man was now satisfied.
Walking through the gawking crowd he began to wonder where the terrifying beasts were that he'd been promised. While some of these looked aggressive, they weren't all that big and for some reason they were inside of boxes with iron bars. He shrugged it off. He only barely understood any kind of animal and if this was what they wanted who was he to judge? He would've left but perhaps they enjoyed this life.
Finally he came to the white and black striped tiger. Now THIS was something new! He stood admiring it's beautiful coat and impressive fangs until another… what was she? Two legs. Some kind of human though she certainly didn't smell like one and those ears… he wanted to touch them but one of the first things he'd learned was that you don't touch random body parts on anything looking even remotely human. They never took it well. Then there was that necklace she was wearing. He'd seen females wear jewelry but they were always small and shiny. This one looked downright uncomfortable. He moved closer just as she started to back away from the cage and ran into a reeeeally BIG human. One of those that wore metal and carried pointy things. His scent was easy to pick up as it practically overpowered every other smell in the place. He'd seen people run into each other before and stepped in to see what would happen this time. Would it be a fight? Would one them say excuse me? Whatever happened it'd be a chance to learn just a little bit more about humans and… whatever she was.

Alexander was slowly strolling among the cages, looking at the animals, that, in normal circumstances, would be trying to tear his face off and eat it for dinner or whatever serves as dinner in animal kingdom, this this was an interesting change for Alexander whose earlier experiences with animals were either A: with a domesticated or homeless dogs which tended to mark him as his territory or B: which is basicly whole face tearing bit that was mentioned above. To many people the ability to look at those creatures, while they are still alive and with no with no danger or rather no big danger to human life is realy enticing for many reasons: curiosity, entertainment from all the shows that were invetible from any good Circus, yet to Alexander all of this couldn't have been more boring than looking at the growing grass, though as wierd as this sounds this shouldn't have been any suprise to people seeing as a Mercenaries can have the meeting with the wild animals constantly if the so choose, for as long as humans will exist they will try to give their job to someone else and as long as their will be wilderness people and animals will compete for resources and space to live, combine two of those factors and you can imagine how sword for hire can have a ability to meet nasty things from the forrest so easily, but that is besides the point, the point being the even though Alexander tried to observe the creatures closely, he tried to focus on them but he couldn't. You might be now wondering why does he tries his hardest to focus on them? Well it is because he will either focus on them or he will focus on IT, IT being this thought at the back of his mind thought which he had tried to push out of his mind for a long time now, he wasn't quite succesful as you can see but at least he is somewhat sane, which can be counted as small victory but the latest contract he had kind of left him very stressed out and on edge, and not for the reasons one might think for the job itself was very simple he had to stand in front of a door, a guard duty not something people would classify as a stressful job, a boring one but not stressful, well you see he likes his jobs that keep his mind occupied, preferebly the job should also allow him to reales his pent up emotions in a way you all can guess, but I will say it because some of ye got some realy dirty minds so he likes his jobs where he can bash somones or somethings skull in, but if the job cannot provide that he likes to be somewhere where he can talk, even though he is more of a loner but he feels as though he needs to be constatnly distracted because if not his mind starts to wander and he gets to IT, maybe not he won't get to it just like that but he will get to it and then well…….. things tend to either start flying or start being little akward or might lead to situation that no one wants to get invloved in. Even now his mind starts to wander but thankfuly for his sanity he bumped into……….. a girl with wierd ears and a collar 'round her neck(Editors Note: Alexander also smeals realy bad imagine the smell of a man who didn't bathe in months and mix it with slight odor of blood) him bumping into her brought him back to reality to whic he respondent in the most mannered and welcoming way possible
- Oi Lass watch where are ya stand there are people moving about here

While the kids laughed and awed at the dangerous beasts so close, yet in a safe setting, Eden walked down the rows, watching them submit to the torment they were being placed through. Wolves with no room to run. Bears stuck performing tricks for fish. It reminded her of her fight for survival, except she had a chance to view on the opposite end a couple times. It was simply… barbaric to watch. Power struggles with lives on the line were watched as if they were performing a play. If they only knew of the torment they dealt with…
Eden's feet sound herself stopping in front of a cage which held a massive white cat inside, black stripes adorning its body, as it sat there, watching the people as they watched him. Resting the flat tip of her weapon into the earth, Eden walked up to the cage, resting her hand on the bar, her eyes meeting his. However, before she knew it, her eyes slitted as she heard an echo through her mind.
Have you come to taunt me as well? This drew her eyes open wider before stumbling back from the instance. Her heart was racing and yet… it felt familiar. Like the moment those men on horseback attacked her and the man in black. Giving a nervous swallow, she stepped back forward before staring the beast down again. Why would she want to taunt him anyways? She felt sorry for his situation. Once the thought roller through her head, the beast stood up and walked closer.
That is a thought I have not heard much of. Tell me: Why do you pity me so?Her hand moved over to the collar that rested around her neck, fingers wrapping around the couple chain links that rattled from her movements. After all, she knew his pain…

While Eden walked into the "mess of cages", a singular man, who wears mostly plate armor with the exception of chest which is made out of scales and bones of a dragon and, insted of Vambraces he weares full plate gauntlets, the rest is kind of normal with exception of the helmet which look somewaht like an metal hat with metal mask attached to front of it, and on the back there is a chainmail hood, under which is also a leather hood. The front plate of the helmet has two somewhat narrow slits for eyes and few very small holes in the region of the mouth for breathing, the top of the helmet has a medium sized brim, and forgive me for the using this comparison again, like that of a hat. This man also wears a simple sleevles robe, over his armor. Also robe clearly isn't sleevless by design, no someone or something must have torn the sleeves from the robe, but is one would to look near the belt region of this man body one could easliy indetify the person who is the perosn responsible for this robe's lack of sleeves, for this man wears an improvised belt made out of torn out sleeves, to this belt is also tied simple but sturdy mace, on his back rests a simple backpack, simply stubeled upon this Circus in his travels, travels that are of course motivated by lack of money to settle somewhere for good and of course the fact that man isn't one to just stay in one place for long periods of time. As he neared the "Mess of cages" a man aproached him and asked him for eight silver if he wanted to enter and look around. Even though he was not a man to simply spend money on, in his opinion, enterteinment that will not last long he decided with all the stress he had recently it would do him some good to simply relax and see what is this all about, so he took from his pockets eight silver coins and handed them to the person who then took them and montioned for him to go deeper into the "Mess of cages" which he did in silence, and started observing numerous beasts that were hold in those cages.

It had been a few days since she had been with the man in the suit over to the Wine Festival. The smell of all the fermented fruits kept lingering in her nose for a couple more days afterwards until most of the clean up was finished and she had left those grounds. However, it did not last as after one item was being torn down, another was being built up. Unfortunately, this twisted her stomach in a different way. While it was nothing like her brothers and sisters in arms, she could still feel their struggle.
After all, who ever enjoys resting in such cages?
While the thought was abnormal for Eden, wandering circuses were a more common spectacle. It allowed people to view more dangerous beasts and animals up close while not having to worry about getting attacked (though they still warned the kids not to put their arms inside the cages). While they did not have the room to prowl to stretch, the caretakers made sure they were well fed… But to be placed up on such a display? If it were not the cages, they were being played with to do tricks and other performances… almost like how she was a performance item herself.
"Ma'am…" echoed in her ear as the tigerkin looked down the line of cages on wheels. "Ma'am…" It was the tap on the shoulder which caused her to turn her head to a hand holding out her hand. "You can take a closer look if you like for eight silver…" Blinking at it, her mind reflected on the word Silver. The man in black told her something similar when she handed her those disks… And the open hand… She only reflected to reach into her pocket and hand over all the shiny disks she had, and the ticket man took not a moment to even count, considering she paid way more than needed, and she knew none the wiser. ""Thank you very much and enjoy." Motioning her forward, Eden walked further into the mess of cages.
