Kazimir's use of her divine title in introduction surprised Natsumi. Considering that they were both Parvporan, she expected him to be less cordial with his thanks. Many Parvporan people were atheists, after all, and didn't believe in paying honor to the gods. Apparently, Kazimir was different in that he still saw wisdom in respecting the powerful even if he didn't attach the word "divine" to their name.

Still, the Vysomag fell victim to the same trappings as other mortals of his kind. He expressed his wish for Natsumi and Jack to go handle the undead while he and Chalky dealt with Yazgash and had "fun," even though Yazgash's defeat would render the undead a moot point. Perhaps he just didn't know the power of the book the orc wielded, but, frankly, Natsumi didn't care about his reasons. "When" the battle ended mattered little to her so long as it did so with minimal casualties.

"As you wish," the masked stranger said while standing up and walking out into the horde with reckless abandon. "But if you and Chalky don't manage to take out Yazgash before I get back, I'll do it for you." She sauntered through the battlefield after this, not seeming to care about the blood and steel that was flying everywhere. There was an invisible barrier around her person, so she was virtually impossible to harm even accidentally, but the scene was still as odd as they come.

Even stranger was the fact that Natsumi didn't immediately leave the battle in order to deal with the undead further down the path as she had been asked to do. Instead, she made a beeline for Yazgash just as the orc was beginning to boast.

"You pale skins will join my army of-" she started to say until Natsumi reached her and slugged right through the female's barrier. Her jumping punch connected with Yazgash's jaw, knocking out several teeth and staggering the beast in surprise as well as pain.

"Hash tag sorrynotsorry," the offending fox said while staring at her faltering orc. "Can't hear you over the sound of your breaking teeth." She finally took her departure from the battlefield toward Jack once that single strike was rendered, but not before she added insult to injury. "You're too much ugly for me, anyway. That's why I'm leaving you to these people. As for what a hash tag is? None of your damn business."

The surrounding orcs rose to defend their leader after her barrier had been so easily punctured, but Natsumi was already gone. She teleported onto Jack's back without warning, and then sent out a mental message to her allies in the area before taking off.

~The book Yazgash holds is the key to the majority of the horde,~ she stated as Jack sent another blast of ice at the nearest group of orcs. ~He who holds the book controls the horde and can command them to do whatever he pleases. He could send it back against the orcs or command it to attack itself. Just a hint.~ The Boreas dragon took off after this telepathic suggestion, flying a short distance down the mountain with Natsumi in tow.

"Why do I f***ing have to go after the undead," a disgruntled Jack asked during this flight? "They taste awful!"

"You'll have plenty of orc meat to eat later," the Goddess lamented. "Quit whining and kick some ass."

Having snuck along a ridgeline to a good flanking position, Cha'Kwe'Tza took his place on the right side of the line of spearmen. Most commanders would place themselves in the middle or near the back for protection and ability to call to all men easily, but there were only the ten, and taking the right side meant that the somewhat fragile humans would have a solid barrier to protect their unshielded weapon arm. Silently signalling the group to advance, the men took to a fast walk as they clutched their weapons. Scanning the Orcs ahead, Cha'Kwe'Tza guided the group to where he wanted them to go with the point of his spear so that his voice wouldn't carry down the slope and alert the guards ahead.

His caution proved to be unnecessary as aboce them there was the rippling sound of a massive winged creature. As one, Cha'Kwe'Tza and his warriors looked to the sky to see a dragon swooping down towards the Orcs, letting loose with a large cone of its icy breath. Roaring his anger, Cha'Kwe'Tza called for his men to advance as quickly as possible. It seemed that they had friends in the area, and the last thing he wanted was to be caught out in the open when the Orcs finally regained their senses. As the small band was about to crash into some unsuspecting greenskins, oddly coloured bolts flew in from another direction and killed a few. Quickly finishing the last couple with his men, the Reptilian ordered them to follow him as he worked towards Yazgash, who had marked herself by conjuring a barrier spell.

Wishing to find out just how well this spell of hers worked, Cha'Kwe'Tza felled the first Orc with his spear before drawing his stone sword and cleaving the next almost in two. Around him the sounds of battle began in earnest as Orcs died and his warriors yelled. whether in fear or fury Cha'Kwe'Tza didn't know, but it meant they were alive. Although he didn't outright promise they would go home alive at the end of all this, the big warrior hoped inwardly that he could manage so. A sting near his right hip brought Cha'Kwe'Tza fully back to the fight and made him realize an Orc had slipped his guard and slashed him. Although a wound hardly worth the name, the Reptilian warrior attacked the Orc with such fury that he severed the offending hand from its arm before removing the greenskins head. Looking around quickly, Cha'Kwe'Tza saw that there was still a bit to go before they broke through to Yazgash.

Taking a moment to light his pipe, Kazimir could only wait for the time being.  His mind was working, wondering how the flow would be stemmed.  This camp was only one of many, and the Vysomag knew that there were other threats that needed to be taken care of.  But he was only one man.  A thin smile crossed his face when the reptilian creature and his men appeared, that was a good start.  From here, he could see they looked to be more than capable warriors.  That was good, he only hoped they would not get slaughtered.  A flick of his wrist sent an air elemental to the leader, and it spoke quick words.  "Thank you for coming.  Be cautious, the orcs are numerous, as are the undead.  But care will get us far," it said, its voice little more than a whisper.

He startled for just a moment when the woman appeared beside him, but the calm quickly appeared over his features once more.  "Pleasure, m'lady.  And your aid is most welcome, Lady of the Keys," he said with a bow.  Even though Kazimir doubted the gods, it was still a good idea to respect those claiming to be one.  They tended to have the power to back up those claims, as well as the madness to use it.  A smile spread across his face at the dragon's appearance, it was certainly a powerful ally for such a fight.  "perhaps your companion can focus on the walking dead, he seems well equipped for such a thing.  I want to have my fun too," he said with a chuckle.

Tucking the pipe back into a random pocket, it was time to work a bit of magic.  Bolts of energy, glowing greenish-silver in the falling twilight, started started to fly towards the orcs, seeking targets.  A few of the guards quickly fell, but as Kazimir anticipated, Yazgash reacted quickly, and raised some sort of magical shield.  He did note that she kept herself safe first and foremost.  Something that could certainly be exploited.

As the orcs pushed further into the north, Natsumi's attention was increasingly diverted toward their horde. She had dealt with the traitors in Vilpamolan first because of their proximity to her domain; but now she needed to do damage control on the army that those individuals had assisted in the first place. Containment of balance-disrupting forces was one of her self-appointed duties, after all; and, thus far, she had done a pretty shit job of maintaining containment for Tenebrim's wrath.

To remedy this bungle, Natsumi travelled to the highlands. She watched over the necromancer's horde, upon arrival, as it trekked through the narrow passages of that area, and she took careful consideration of all relevant facts before choosing how to proceed. The chokepoints were numerous, far greater than the amount of heroes that had arisen to confront the approaching army. Already there were two familiar faces on the field in the form of Cha'Kwe'Tza and the head of the Wyllmochvar Mage Academy; but, unfortunately, their miniature army and magics were insufficient to stem the tide at this point. There wasn't enough "umph" between the two, and so the Goddess intervened to cut off the serpent's head.

"Technically, that's my line," Natsumi said in Wyllmochvaran while suddenly and silently appearing next to Kazimir after he expressed how much he hated being right all the time. She was garbed in dark clothing, and wearing her public, deity mask to give off an air of mystery. The seamless manifestation of her visage was an ultimately frightening addition to an otherwise, already, terrifying situation."Rather large field of orcs, corpses, and chokepoints out the back end of a buffalo, isn't it Mr. Levin?" Sarcasm paired with casual undertone to make that statement, and the Goddess didn't really expect an answer from the high mage. She was just breaking the ice before continuing with, "Natsumi." She pointed a gloved finger at herself with this introduction, but quickly shifted attention to Yazgash and ilk with her thumb afterward. "Dead."

Now, normally one would expect someone speaking in such a manner as Natsumi to immediately attack the orcs. She, however, did not, and there was a very good reason as to why. She had promised a certain someone that he would get first blood, and the giant shadow of that someone was just now falling on the orc camp.

"It's Jack-a-boy time," shouted the energetic Boreas dragon as he sprayed ice breath on the unsuspecting army! The newest battle in this ravaging had begun, and the thus far victorious orcs were already suffering from their first, frozen casualties.

Cha'Kwe'Tza made a motion for the armed men following him to hold their positions. Although not the most likely candidate for being a scout when one considered his size, the large reptilian could move fairly quietly across soft ground. Moving forward to the far side of a small copse of trees, he could see an outcrop of rock up a hill to his left. It seemed a likely place for the one called Yazgash to be camped. Having followed the group for a few days through abandoned villages, Cha'Kwe'Tza had one of the men in his company grab a piece of paper that seemed well out of place. Unable to read himself, the man told Cha'Kwe'Tza that it was a message asking for capable people to come and assist with the Orc problem. This lead to the large warrior now trying to figure out how he was supposed to contact the one that had been leaving the messages.

Returning to where his hired warriors stood, Cha'Kwe'Tza explained as best as he could that the Orcs were up the hill ahead, and that they were to stick together, and leave the shaman for him. He could see fear in their eyes, but he didn't know the words to put the stone back in their spines. Gripping his own spear, Cha'Kwe'Tza lead his small band of warriors back a small way so that they could climb a low hill and therefore outflank the Orcs ahead.

It had been several days since the orcs had started their invasion, and the Vysomag found himself… disappointed in a word.  He had been hoping that he would not have to directly meddle in the affairs of Canelux, but certain interests had to be protected, after all.  The half elf had chosen to find the necromancer, and attempt to figure out just what she was up to.  So far, Yazgash only seemed to be aimlessly wandering across the Highlands, seeking out the least defended villages to turn into the undead.  Perhaps she was trying to raise a large enough horde to attack another area?  Gathering any sort of intelligence would likely become necessary.

The orcs had finally come to a halt, camping near an outcropping of rocks.  Kazimir stood a small distance away on a ridge, hidden within the brush.  And one of his summoned creatures was creeping as close to the horde as it could get without raising an alarm.  He had left messages in certain places, hoping that some of the so called heroes of the world would come and help.  It was likely that Kazimir could take care of this himself.  But where was the fun in that?

Closing his eyes, he focused his senses through the air creature, listening to the conversation.  Both his eyebrows raised soon, and he chuckled to himself.  "Oh, there are times that I hate always being right," he said with a sigh.  Now it was time to see who would show up.
