Truly the whole event had been relatively blasé, though she enjoyed the lions and art depicted on the street, Violet could not hope for more excitement more. It was all very boring, and more than once she wished for more vendors to be opened this time of the year. It was far more mild then usual, as it was winter, but that did not mean people could stand the scorch year round. The constant turn over from one merchant to another meant that sometimes Violet could purchase things she needed, things she wanted, while other times she had the worst time imaginable getting the most simple of ingredients. With the sun beating down on the city, people danced from shadow to shadow hoping to keep cool just a bit longer. For violet it was cooler, even if it felt like summer for people of all other lands.
As she was studying some Elder Berries, a loud crack rang out into the open air, causing Violet to wrench violently around to find the source of such an alarming noise. With wide blue eyes, she frantically searched the surrounding area, only to find that a balcony had loosened and fell upon unsuspecting people below. Violet stood, rooted in place as people gasped and watched with mouths open. It was such an unusual thing to witness first had, especially in Mamlak, that the locals had no idea how to process this information quickly. She was no great traveler or healer, just a simple girl from a simple trading town.
Luckily for everyone, another person sprang into action the moment chaos ensued. This blonde girl raced forward, pushing people aside, and that was enough to make Violet move forward as well. "Please!" She cried out as she placed her hand on the shoulders of others, "move aside! Let her work!" As the dust began to clear, Violet could see that the girl had placed her hands on the leg of an unconscious man caught beneath some of the rubble. Pushing more of the bystanders away, Violet shooed them until they meandered about their original path. "Good. Now go." She said one final time to break up the onlookers.
Blue eyes watched the shinning light emitted from the girl's hands. "By the lion?" She gasped the words as she watched in awe. Never in her life had Violet witnessed something as beautiful as this, and now that she was witnessing it first hand, she could not look away. Then it was over and the man woke with a start. His cries of surprise drowned out the pitiful sobs of anguish from the other two injured. It was only in this moment that Violet sprang into action.
Kneeling next to the woman that laid beside the cart, she began to pull healing herbs from her pockets and placed them on one of the woman's worst injuries. Wrapping cloth around these, the woman cried out at the careless fingers that worked on her. Violet was no healer, she was a-
Without a second thought she pulled two vials from her bag. "Here!" She demanded as she guided the woman to drink up. Rejuvenation potions were her specialty. Uncorking the other, she guided it to the lips of the man that had been on the balcony when it fell. Hopefully they would be right as rain within a few more moments. For now she began to move some of the debris away from the injured.
