Never, in all of her wildest dreams, would Luna have believed that she would be the black sheep of the family. Kaya had begged her to come with the others to the Guild Hall, but Luna had refused the request - she had absolutely no intention of going to see her mother, Kythe had made her choice in regards to her children centuries ago, why should Luna open her heart to the woman now? She was only going to get hurt again, same as always, some calamity or other would come about and her mother would go to war, choosing the rest of the world over her family. Kaya might be naive enough to believe Kythe would be different in this world, but Luna was not.

Luna had waved off the cart, containing both the Balatro and Silverheart family, but she had remained behind, with her two youngest children. She had not been thrilled at the thought of Cora and Zion going, however her two eldest twins had not given their mother much, if any, choice in the matter - they wanted to meet their grandmother, and they were going with Uncle Raith, Auntie Ria and Uncle Dae… whether Luna wanted them to or otherwise. She had known better than to refuse the request, Zion was reaching a rebellious phase, he would have followed the cart on his own if she had said no, and of course Cora would have gone after her brother to ensure he remained safe… easier to say yes and let them go with the others. At least that way they were being supervised…

Settled in the front of the shop, Luna could watch over her two youngest pups as Ivan and Petra slept, glad that they were content enough to stay in their basket and not run around like wild things for five minutes. Luna was grateful that Teu trusted her enough to look after the shop on her own, though she knew that Michael would return at a moments notice should she require his aid - the Angel was staying away from the shop more and more of late, the lack of his presence was noticeable and she wondered how Lady Teu felt about it given how close the pair seemed to be.
