The gated garden was locked at night – to keep the riff raff from getting in. Not that usually bothered Killian. In fact, it usually encouraged him. Illuminated in moonlight the Novella slipped out of an alley in his typical dramatic way, his wand was held low as he unlocked the gate and motioned for Luna to follow him through. Killian locked the gate behind him and held the hand of his partner as they walked. The garden was huge, manicured lawns were the main boast. (Not one the Novella understood, why grow grass in a desert?) Away from the main pavilion was a tiny secret garden, it was to this that the pair walked. The entrance was to walk through a gate enchanted to look like a brick wall. Once through they were in a much smaller walled garden, clematis and ivy intertwined to hide each one. The air was thick with jasmine and lavender – tiny paths danced through the flower beds, around bushes and through delicate archways to the middle where a small but beautiful gazebo stood.

Killian held Luna close as they took it all in. She squeezed his hand and they headed inside the structure. They weren’t here for a romantic stroll, however. As they got inside Luna began working her Silky magic cleaning the glass and polishing the woodwork. Killian set himself about repairing the chairs and the table. It had obviously been abandoned a wile back. Once they were done Killian summoned a huge pot of hot tea, three dozen triangular sandwiches and seventeen different cakes.

“And you are sure this will work?” Luna asked.
Killian smiled at her as he pulled the pipe from his pocket. He lit it with a click of his fingers.
“Angie! Angie! Angie!” Killian said with a slight grin. Summoning divine beings was a lot easier than people expected – especially when they were your closest friend. Killian’s mind reached out a firm but kind tug. It was a non-verbal communication, but it said ‘come along Angie’ perfectly. With the pipe held in his teeth Killian poured three cups of tea and remained on his feet for his friend.
