As soon as they were In the room she took off the coat the man gave her and tossed it and her pack beside the closet door. Her old robe disappeared as she returned to dragon form. She than jumped up onto the bed and laid down.

"No clue. I usuly am not in human form for more than onece a moon cycle. And it's not an energy thing. It's more that I am new to trying to switch forms and need the practice to do it. I have the energy just not the controll." She said.

"I left mom on my own accord over 2 months ago. She had no say. I left to find my sister before she did something stupid. She is mad and fills betrayed and…" She stopped lowering her head. She was too late to save her sister and she knew it. She took a breath to calm down. Her sister had went to the gods and aqua knew it was too late.

She looked at the book and back at the human. "If you think it will work than I'm up for it. But I'll stay here and watch the room as you to explore. I need to let my leg rest." She said

Hearing Randal comment on her drinking, Wen raised a finger at him. "Wine from a paladin in Virens; ale from a traveller a few days later," she corrected, wistfully remembering the days when she was a lone explorer with no plan or way of defense. Come to think of it, maybe it was good fortune that she met Randal when she did. Shrugging, the Dryad gulped down the rest of her drink and followed the others as they paid for a room. For such a petite frame, she could actually hold her alcohol extremely well. So much so that she had no idea of its "effects" people were always referring to.

Bouncing into the room, she took note of the two small beds and the rest of the cramped quarters. Sitting cross-legged on one of them, Elowen watched curiously as Randal spoke to the dragon. She wanted to give them some space, since she did not really know much about dragons or magic beyond the stuff she used in the forest. Absentmindedly playing with her green hair, she stared outside the tiny window, hoping to be able to go back out and experience the city at night.

Randal stuck his hand up to quickly pay for the food and drinks before standing "I really don't understand where she got this habit from, I mean there wasn't any ale in the rainforest to drink" he chuckled before pointing to the stairs and walking to the room and sliding in to be able to unpack his stuff before asking the dragon "How long does it take for your energy to recharge?" he polished his crystal on the tip of his newly repaired staff "I did promise Wen that I would take her out to see the night stalls, if she isnt drunk by then" he laughed.

His glance rested on the dragon with a frown, "How long ago did you say you left your mother?  because if you cant have enough power to keep your disguise up it makes me wonder how she would let you leave the nest?" the young mage pulled out a book written in her tongue and started reading it "This was written by my teacher the same one who taught me to speak your language, he was over 1200 years old when he met me and taught me all he could in the short time we were together but he said that dragon mana could be gained in human force by use of an empowering rune" he stood drawing the symbol in the air as it pulsed blue Randal asked with a small smile "Up for an experiment little dragon?"

Aqua remaind silent when Randal was taking to her. He was right but she was not going to admit it. She looked down as he spoke and did not speak again untell she was at the table.

Wen drinking could end up bad if dryads arr effected by drinking like humans were. She also did not order food or drink for many reasons. She was not a fan of most food inns or taverns surved and was to yong for most drinks. She was also not hungry do to her thoughts and nerves.

"She has a point, it would save us some coin by getting only one room. And its not like i would need a bed." She stated than lowered her voice as Wen ordered another drink and looked strate at Randal "May need help keeping someone out of trouble." She quickly glanced at the one ordering a second drink.

She than started inching her hand before looking at it and noticed the scale like pattern that usually started to form before she switched back which indicated her human form time was up. She quickly pulled her hood up and covered her hands. "What ever we do needs to be done sooner rather than later." She said hoping they would understand.

Sitting with Randal and Aqua at a table in the inn's pub, Elowen ordered a giant glass of ale, having taken a liking to it since her first taste of it. She pulled happily on her new shawl, feeling nice and comforted in its fabric. While the mage asked about sleeping arrangements, she gulped down half of her drink in a matter of moments. Raising an eyebrow quizzically, she asked, "Why would we not share a room? Wouldn't that make sense, since we are traveling together and can split the cost of silver?" But then she turned to the dragon and smiled brightly. "What would you like to do, Aqua?"

Downing the rest of her drink, Wen signaled to the waiter for a refill, who came and took her glass away. The Dryad was fully aware that the dragon might want her own room for some space, and besides, she was eager to go back out and experience the city's night life. The waiter came back with a newly refilled glass, the ale sparkling inside. After double-checking to make sure that she was indeed old enough to be served, he left, and Elowen sipped merrily at her drink.

He walked back to his travelling party with his hands behind his back looking at Wen "I felt bad for what I said, so I may have had a few extra silvers to buy this" he pulled the shawl out from behind him with a sheepish smile putting it on her and whispering "I really am sorry, I know this probably is good for first impressions of a town if I go off on a rant about stuff" Randal then backed off looking down at the small dragon with a sigh "I wish I could apoligise for the way I acted but yet I still stand by what I said, we all had hard lives one way or another but just not letting anyone help won't help yourself, understand?" the young mage looked down at his blood soaked robe with a grimm face "You can keep my old robe, Ill just uhhh buy a cleaner one, think of it as an investment?".

When they had finally got to the Inn the sun was setting and stalls were finally packing up after a long day of bartering and shouting out their wares but the inside of the local Inn was more lively than thought of as drunken farmers cheered and sung poor renditions of old songs and servers poured ale and handed food to many a man, The young mage was quick to order acutal food after being in the forest for so long he had forgotten the texture of a good steak had as he was handed the plate full of steaming food he dug in gorging himself on the juicy slice following it down with a gulp of Ale before asking "So Aqua? where will you be sleeping tonight, I mean I could rent another room for you and Wen since I'm sure Wen wouldn't want to share a room with me" he ended his rambles flustered and with a chuckle before digging into his plate again awaiting a reply.

At first she was surprised at how fast the male switched from simply to accusing anger. If she was not holding the staff she would have crossed her arms. "You think i don't know how low on the chain i am and how much danger i am in expeditiously now. I only ment that i can walk to town." She snapped back but never answered his first question. And at the offer of coin she simply shook her head not in the mood now.

In town she walked off to sell the hurbs and found that she had the coin for a rode like her mothers. She carefully placed the robe in her bag than found the dryad and keeping with her as she thought ob what the guy said. He was right she should try as she did have the responsibility.

"Its not that bad." She said at the statment of it being the first time the girl had actually been in a town. " I was raised in a town like this with a higher um crime rate." She went silent she knew the girl was right but did not want to admit it. She stayed with the group knowing that she needed them if she was going to sleep in any tipe of safe place.

Elowen narrowed her eyes and pinched Randal because of his rude tone. "Be nice," she muttered into his ear, smiling apologetically at Aqua. She reached into the satchel at her side, digging through it until her hand emerged with some silver. "I know you do not require sympathy, but at least take this." The offer really was not much, but she hoped it would be enough to pay for clothing and supplies, at least. As they entered the village, the Dryad leaned over toward the dragon, whispering, "This is my first time in a city like this." Her grin widened, and she remained between the others in an attempt to keep some semblance of peace.

While they traversed the streets and observed the different shops and stalls, Wen kept watching other people do their mundane tasks. Shopping, cleaning, gossiping; all of those ideas were new to her. Once they passed by a clothing shop, where she bought a cloak and some walking boots. Randal had gone across the way to get his staff repaired. "You know," she began, speaking to Aqua absentmindedly, "Randal really does mean well. I think you two would get along if you both were not so stubborn." Smiling at the shopkeep, Wen paid for her things and glanced back at the dragon.

"A healer cant heal you in your Dranoic Form, have you stopped to consider the change in a more human type form would affect the healing process of your body" he snapped back, "You may have survived in this world for longer than us Aqua, but as someone who grew up using his mind instead of brute force I have to suggest you try each method available to harness what lays inside you, since as one of the few magic dragons left in the realm a lot rests on your shoulders" he lifted his own rucksack onto his shoulder before finishing of "I know this better than anyone due to the fact I was taught the language of your kind and more from a Draconic being that could easily stay in human form for weeks on end, you can say all you want about how strong you are, but out there in the deep dark forest or in that village there will always be a chance someone is stronger than you"

He entered the village looking through the stock of the stalls using the few silvers he had to repair his staff and buy important supplies watching the kids play in the square while adults walked around carrying bags of food and materials that might be used in an array of things, he sighed at the thought of he was being too harsh on the young dragon but it would be better for her to be more cautious about her condition than allowing her to be killed in a moment of weakness, the young mage walked to the Dryad speaking "Should we head off to the Inn, its seems to be getting dark quickly?"

Aqua just could not understand why the two-leggeds were being nice. Or why they they would care that she was hurt. Both were abstract concepts as she only got cared for as she was fussed at for getting hurt and anyone else would try there best to kill her as she was weaker.

"I have survived this long and i have survived worce. So I will be fine and we reptiles do not get the flu or other human illnesses." She spoke than looked at the guy who placed the coat on her. Her look one of curiosity than it was gone as she rapped up in it. "I do not need your sympathy and as i said a healer can't help me."

She knew she needed new clothes and hopped she gathered enough herbs to trade for them. Thanks to a moms friend she did know a lot of plants and there values around home but this was not home so the price may be different. Her pack finally appeared on her back.

The Dryad's eyes widened as the dragon shifted into her human form. It might have just been her unique appearance in comparison to Elowen's people, but she found Aqua to be beautiful. Her urge was to go over and poke and inspect every aspect of her, but she held herself back. Although Randal seemed to have as little care for personal space as she did, Wen had the feeling that Aqua would rather be left alone.

Which was fine, of course, but the mage did not seem to pick up on this, instead boldly walking over and putting his coat on her. Probably to make her stick out less, or maybe because he felt bad for her. Either way, the act brought a smile to Elowen's face. "At least we can find a healer for your injuries before you go off again," she offered happily. "Do not fret. This should be a quick trip. Although… Randal and I will have to acquire a room at the inn, yes?" Wen looked to the mage for him to confirm her understanding.

Realising that what he said might of not helped the situation he frowned until the Dryad seemed to drag her feet towards him Edgest mentioned "Perhaps she needs comforting?" with a quich sharp glance towards his directions the mage felt a weight tug on his arm turning round to see Wen linking their arms causing his face to heat slightly as he quickly squeezed her hand comfortably with his free one to make sure she was okay, "And of course all Dragons can take care of themselves since a young age due to a natural insitinct" Randal told tapping his chin without thinking before cotinuing "And we also wouldnt want to miss a hot meal and a comfy bed" looking down at Elowen letting his face form into a goofy smile feeling a warm feeling in his chest.

"Of course its okay for you to come with us, the more the merrier I see we did just lose a member of the party due to his job protecting the forest"
when Aqua started changing he was shocked at first but found it intresting how it seemed to be a preset process of change before he noticed the ripped clothing and dried blood which he concluded through previous fights, letting the good side of himself, which wasnt Edgest, take the better of him he took off his long jacket putting it round the Dragnoid Human, "Are you sure the injuries will allow you to walk far enough?" he asked with a frown while Edgest floated back with a furrowed brows "If you get flu it's your death bed"

Aqua looked back at the woods knowing she was not going back. She did not like it in the slightest with out hunters add them and she was not going back. That ment the the town was her only other options. And as much as she was agenst it travailing in a group was always safer. "Your right i should head to the town. If its still ok with you two."

She switched forms to a human. The brown robe appearing on her as soon as it would fit. Her skin was a milky color and her hair just as white untell a few inches from the tips that was jet black. In her hand appeard a bo staff which she leaned on. The back was stained with the brown color of dried blood along with a few rips which showed some of the scared tissue. Though it was mostly hidden the injuries were larger in this form and would slightly effect her walk. Though she would not show the pain in her face. "How far from here and how close to the sea is this city?"

Frowning at Aqua's rejection, Elowen pulled her hand away with a dejected "Oh." She felt sure that her spell would have worked, since she had seen other Dryads heal wounded dragons that came through their part of the forest, but Wen was not going to force her to accept the offer. Her disheartened mood was not helped by Randal explaining the dangers that awaited if Aqua chose to return to the forest. With a sigh of defeat, she walked back over to the mage, a little less spring in her step than usual. "While all of that may be the case…" she began, "we will not force you to join us, Aqua."

A small smile returned to her lips as she linked arms with Randal. "You certainly seem to be capable of taking care of yourself." Although she said this, Wen's eyes still returned to the wound on the dragon's back. "But, if you would like to come with us into Mamlak, please feel free to do so." Elowen glanced upwards toward the sun; the morning would not last much longer. "Though we'll have to head out soon, if we want to make the most of the day." She wore a beaming smile and brightly up at Randal, clearly excited for her first experience in a city.

Randal quickly sighed with a tap of his foot, and nodding at Wen "Fine…" watching the exchange the two had and even chuckiling a little when the Dryad copied his chin tap, most of the time he did it without knowing of the action but on her it looked almost cute, as soon as his train of thought was going to continue Edgest appeared with a look of disgust "Randal can you not contain yourself for more than a few minutes" Randal quickly turned his head to face the river covering his face with one hand and muttering "Oh Jesus…" before walking towards the Dragon and sliding his staff away.

"Aqua was it? the reason I didn't ask if you wanted to come to the village with us is pretty easy if you head back into the forest the chance of you being hunted is alot riskier, plus the added lack of protection you have without your scales, I'm sure you know how valuable dragon bones and scales are in potions these days?" he anwsered blunty before giving a shrug to Elowen to signal that she had to hear it sooner or later, "Sometimes theres alot of things that I wish I could change the world, but at this point it's far less risky for you to come with us and spend the night or get caught by a trapper in there" he pointed back into the dark trees that seemed to grow more omnious during the sunset.

Aqua lost the frightened look at his response. Not that she fully believed him but at least it was something. She kept watching him until the dryad pushed past and approached. She looked back and forth untell the male started doing other things. She backed up to keep a safe distance between her and the two-legged. She ended up sitting down and watched when the dryad got to close she moved but not much. "I have had better days with my appearance." She said truthfully knowing the damaged area looked horable even if it was just a ruffer aria that was miss colored.

"Why would I go to the city with you?" She said half wondering why they assume she would go and stating they bib not mind. It rather confused her but she did answer the questions. "Yes i can take on a human form but not verry long in top condition. And my name is Aqua." She moved away when approached than turned mor so the woman was not behind her.

"I will be fine. And it will not work. My scales are like hair and nails. They do not heal like human skin or flesh. They must replace the old with new to get fixed." She said. She fully believed she could not get help and spent way to much time with those that collect for anything they do to allow herself to get help.

Softly pushing his hand away, Elowen replied, "Please, Randal, you worry too much." More interested in the dragon, she stepped around Randal and bent down to study her. Her scales were beautiful, and Wen's eyes sparkled upon viewing them. "Oh, wow! I've never seen a dragon outside the forest before. You're absolutely magnificent," the Dryad mused, intrigued by every aspect of the creature. "Do not mind dear Randal, he can be a bit… preoccupied with our safety." Straightening back up, she gently tapped her chin, as she had seen the mage do before when he was thinking. "But perhaps he is right about not bringing a full dragon into the city with us. Tell us, do you have a name?" Gently, she tugged on her deep green braid as she circled the dragon.

When she caught sight of her injured scales, Elowen felt pity for her. Carefully, she approached the dragon's back. One of her hands rested on a small tree, from which she drew the energy to heal the dragon. "Will you let me help you?" Wen extended a hand out to her as an offering. "Your injury does not look too big for me to heal."

He sighed lowering the staff before raising his hand "If I was going to hurt you, I would have done it already" he rose an eyebrow with a curious look before turning around to Elowen "Are you okay" he asked with a small smile "I mean it would be terrible if you got hurt or something" he started going through his bag and searching through his bag before landing on a book about dragons and taking it out and flicking through it quickly, "We still need to head to the village to find the way to the main city area, however, we cant be seen with a full sized injured dragon since bounty hunters or villagers might grow suscipious, I think I remember seeing a rather larger dragon turn into a human like form can you do that little dragon?"

with that said he started collecting different types of herbs and gathering dried leaves from his bag, "Another thing sadly even though I think its pretty adorable is your skin Wen, being pale green it might and being this close to the rainforest might hint that your a Dryad and cause a lot of hoo-har, so are you up for trying a paste that turns skin to a pale skin colour?" he almost whispered to her with a sad look, even though it didnt bother him that much he had grown accustomed to seeing her how she normally was and let go a deep sigh before reaching up absent mindlying stroked her cheek.

Aqua stopped drinking as she heard movement one ear moved to face forward as the other moved looking for other sounds as she looked up to see a two-legged male attempting to talk in her natural tung. she would respond in the same tung but his attempt said he was rusty at it. He basically asked why she was so close to a town. She responded in the tung she heard that lead her out of the forest. "I did not know I was close to one. I am simply glad to be out of the forest." She said then frowned speaking like that through a muzzle was hard and as she had been tracking she had not been practicing to keep her skills up.

She noticed his weapon and both ears laid flat on her head witch tilted. the corners of her mouth dropped as her eyes widened. "You're not going to shoot me, are you?" the thought of more pain reminded her of the acid womb she got about 2 weeks ago that had not fully healed. she still had not shed to renew the damaged scales on her back wich worried her but right now she had other things to worry about.

Elowen hung onto every word Randal read, intently scanning the pages along with him. Even as he paused briefly to turn a page, her golden eyes remained focused on the book in the mage's hands. "Oh, then we are vagabonds, yes?" she asked playfully, nudging him with her shoulder. She barely registered a disturbance in the forest behind them, instead caught in the knowledge presented before her. However, when Randal softly called her attention to a potential threat, her right hand instinctively went to her shoulder, shielding the bruise that still hadn't faded from the bear. Carefully, she approached him, staying slightly hidden behind his back.

"A dragon?" Wen whispered curiously, latching onto Randal's arm. It was a small but beautiful creature, and the young Dryad nearly walked directly toward it, stopping herself short. Although dragons dwelled in both the Virens and Laeto forests, she'd only encountered a few of their kind. Dragons were one species she had a hard time figuring out, since they could be both human-like and animalistic, depending on which type you meet. Elowen eyed Randal's arrow cautiously, hoping it would not frighten the creature.

Randal smirked at all her questions before putting a hand on the top of her head, "The Trouble with your clothes is that the holes show alot, and in the big cities guards will follow us around thinking you are either a Vagabond or a Thief, Second, I believe we can get a map from the Inn nearby and lastly, of course, we can stay the night here I think we deserve the rest" after weeks alone having to hear Edgest ramble he was well versed in keeping track of the Dryad before he sat next to her reading the book quickly "Yes Lodging also known as Housing is what races such as Orcs, Humans and others live in we sometimes buy a building made of brick and wood to keep valuebles and other important things, other people only buy housing when they wish to raise children or retire" he turned the page quickly pointing a quick paragraph out, "Hence the term Vagabond meaning no home, or Peasant which means you have a house poorly made or not enough money to make it better".

Feeling uneasy all of a sudden he whispered into her ear "I think I heard something in the forest next to us" allowing the side of his face to gently touch hers before standing up with his staff advancing on the sound of slurping coming from the riverbank he poked his head over the hill seeing the dragon uncomfortably drinking as he muttered a spell to allow a spectral arrow to grow on his staff, he stood and said in a tongue he was taught long ago by his teachers, "darastrix kii zyak trelk ekess vi shripomn" the Draconic lanuage coming out rusty from his mouth, it had been many years since he last practiced since the rareity of the beast meant he had no target who would understand him.

Ok so far i have lurned i am not a tracker. She thought as she walked on all fours through the dark woods. The person she tracked into the forest seamed to vanish after entering. Not like dead for that would be easier to track. No, they litterly disappeared. How and why she did not know or care. All she wanted was out. She had wings but these trees would not listen to her like others would so she did not have the room to fly.

But once she hurd voices, she fallowed untell she saw light. Her scales glowed a light blue color witch allowed her to see. Braking out of the woods she gave a triumphant snort, Turned to the forest and stuck out her tung. Turning back she saw the water. She hated water but she was thirsty and ran to it and started to drink not noticeing the others.

Sunlight! Beautiful, radiant sunlight! Elowen felt as though she could cry tears of joy once she caught a glimpse of the shimmering rays. The cityscape on the horizon only made the sight more fantastic. After two rough days of trekking through the Laeto Rainforest, they had finally made it to the outskirts of Mamlak. Sighing contently, the young Dryad knelt down next to Randal, cupping a pool of water from the stream in her hands and delicately sipping it. Hearing the mage say something not entirely directed at her, she chuckled into her hands. Although she did not fully understand her travel companion's perplexing condition, Wen embraced the strangeness of his situation with only a few reservations. She still wanted to know more about how exactly "Edgest" came about, but she wasn't going to pry about it just yet.

Seeing the book Randal took from his bag, her eyes widened in excitement, and she quickly snatched the book from him. Elowen thumbed through the pages until she reached the one that was marked. "Right! I believe we were on 'Lodging'," she stated, completely absorbed in her curiosity, at least until the mage brought up buying new clothing. Raising an eyebrow, Wen asked, "Are my clothes not presentable?" Though she had to admit, she was eager to find something to wear besides the ragged and uncomfortable tunic that the old wizard had given her. "What would you suggest I wear? What do people normally wear in big cities? That reminds me, will we be needing a map? And can we please stay one night here?" As the questions flooded out of her and she waved her arms around in enthusiasm, the Dryad's green hair began falling out of its braid, and she became lost in her rambling.

After the last two days of walking through the dark forests just south of Mamlak, Randal was grateful to feel the sun on his face and hearing the noise of busy civilisation he spent his time recollecting about the events of the journey smiling fondly he was glad that someone other than Edgest knew about his 'haunting' issue but he still had the sneaking suspicion he would have to explain more in detail about how it came to be and why Edgest wanted to see the goddess. Of course, this could wait as the mage leant down into a stream happily gulping away with mouthfuls of water, "Gosh its not everyday you get to drink water this fresh" he laughed as Edgest simply sighed beside him, "Call upon me either when we're in danger or we reach the city" and with that the Wraith was gone leaving Randal in an even better mood for not having to put up with his constant rambling.

The boy looked around the farmland they were in watching the work hands lift different types of grains and other edibles into wagons or baskets with the peacefullness finally upon them Randal had just reliased without the Orc to guide them the pair would have to rely on maps or other sources of infomation once again, pushing this to the back of his head he rummaged through his bag pulling a book that had a book mark in, "Shall we continue the basics?" he asked the Dryad with a small smile, "And then I think I saw a market further into the village where we can shop for useful items and clothes for you" he wiggled his finger in the air almost tapping his chin with a small smirk at the thought of outfits.
