The balmy beaches and tropical jungle have become a bloody battleground where the invasion from the west is in full force. The native islanders have been hard hit by the unexpected arrival of invaders and have been forced to evacuate from their ancestral homes to the mainland for safety. Those bold enough to venture into the jungle must be vigilant as you never know when an enemy might emerge out of hiding in the undergrowth.

The volcanic island is all but deserted after the islanders were evacuated to the mainland. Kinigoh village has been devastated and left in ruins as a grim message to those who wish to confront the invaders. The safest place to be is on the eastern side, though with the extensive cover of jungle vegetation letting one’s guard can cost a man his head. The jungle is quiet, an unsettling tension in the air. The volcano itself rumbles as if it is brewing with discontent and plumes of smoke spew from its summit followed by tremors. While the forces led by the Conclave have control of the beaches, the insectoid raiders have taken the heart of the jungle. Allied forces from the continent have built stations and fortifications to monitor the enemy’s movements and scout for potential reinforcements from the west.

Caneluxian forces have routinely sent charges into the jungle to clear out paths while hoping to push the invaders on the defensive. The scholars and strategists in the seaside encampments are currently focusing on finding methods to weaken enemy forces. One of their goals is to bring back an individual dead or alive in hopes of studying their physiology to discover some sort of weakness. The encampment garrisons are heavily armed with ranged and melee soldiers alike. There are several squads on duty with overlapping rotations to ensure there are people ready to fight no matter what time of day.
