"It never hurts to come here during off-season, I mean you're never seen what the island looks like when boats are dropping people off every few hours. The beach gets the most crowded since it's easiest to get to, y'see." She nodded as the girl stated she was too tired to remember. A reasonable answer, as she was probably still recovering from near-heatstroke conditions. More water would help clear up that fogginess. Myouga shook her head at the suggestions given to her. "Naaah, that's not it. I already got all the samples I needed the first few times I visited the island. Besides, if I wanted reagents I'd get them myself. Hrm…hrrrrrm…what was it?" Closing her eyes she furrowed her brow as she retraced her train of thought before meeting the girl, baking the potatoes, and borrowing a chair from the locals.
"…Oh right, the sweet potato! Here you go, it's still warm." Handing the girl the baked sweet potato she had offered earlier, she resumed her attempt at taking a mental inventory of her actions up until now. She had pocketed the dragon scales, bought some flower garlands like usual, chatted with the locals in the village on anything interesting that had happened since her last visit, fed the monkeys, watched a woman weave a basket for two hours, ate some delicacies that she paid for, looked at some hats, skipped a few rocks across the surface of the water on a pond, caught some beetles, ate some banana-nut cakes she had brought with her, borrowed a chair from a villager, set up said chair beneath a tree next to a rock perfectly-sized to use as a table, made her pit for roasting sweet potatoes, waited for her potatoes to cook while eating more banana-nut cakes, and finally–she met the blue-haired girl named 'Princess'. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and they weren't out of order…but something was missing. Something related to heat, or was it water? No…that wasn't right. It was on the tip of her tongue, and she almost had it within reach.
" …Was it fire? No… Hrrrrrrmmm!!! What was it? What was that thing? Fire, water, steam–I got it! Hot springs! It was hot springs! Yes! I knew it was something related to heat! Oh yeah, that's what I wanted to do before leaving. There's a bunch of pools up in the jungle where you can enjoy some of the best hot springs on this side of Canelux, for free! I mean sure other places have hot springs or bathhouses but you have to pay to get in before you can do anything. Sometimes I sit in there for hours until my skin gets all pruney. It's so warm that it's easy to fall asleep too." Having recalled the last item on her travel to-do list, she turned to her new acquaintance grinning broadly. "Soooo, wanna come with me? We can go pick up a bucket of flowers before we go to make the water smell like a tropical paradise! The heat from the water makes the fragrant oils in the flowers come out, and it's like a day at the spa."
She then stopped herself, realizing that she had completely forgotten the girl was still to tired to move. "Oh right…uh, I guess you can't really get up and walk right now huh? Hmm… Do you want to stay here and rest up a bit on your own, or do you want to come along? You don't have to if you don't wanna. I won't be mad if you want to spend some time by yourself. I mean I kinda asked you all of a sudden, after just meeting you for less than an hour." A bit of a bad habit of hers, but she had always meant well. One of her friends often complained that she would drag him into things before asking his opinion, and that she was too pushy; making it difficult for people to say no unless they said it outright. Often she would get too excited before thinking it through.
