Apoy Island.  A volcanic island occupied by a small tribe of locals.  Also possibly dragons.  The volcano interested Hiro Kouen.  Maybe he could train near the lava to strength his body and his fire affinity.  His father told him he always used to train in volcanoes to strengthen himself, and met one of his best friends there.  Who knows who he'd meet on the way there?

Hiro made his way up the path alongside the volcano, he wore his usual red armor, despite the heat, or rather because of the heat, he wore the armor.  His armor was not only fire resistant, he used it to help train, since it added weight, and made things somewhat hotter.  He would be fine as long as he kept a supply of water with him.  Which he did.

The young Phoenix Knight saw a man sitting on a rock, simply dressed, and carried only a walking stick.  What brought a man dressed to a potentially dangerous location unarmed?  There WERE potentially dragons in the area, he heard the stories too.

"Hey, there stranger!  Good day!  What brings you here to the volcano?  Perhaps some kind of fire worshiper on a pilgrimage?"  That was the only thing Hiro could think of that would bring someone here, unless maybe he was a villager from the settlement here.  Hiro had jet black hair with red highlights.  He had a strong, muscular build, and was armed with a sword by his side.  He was also blessed with a youthful, handsome appearance, being only a teenager.

Apoy. The name sounded almost like a sneeze to Darros. It was an island of the west coast of Canelux, occupied mostly by a towering volcano billowing smoke into the sky. This world was filled with odd names and strange creatures. It intrigued him. So many things had changed since he had last awakened, he wondered how many years it had been. Years? Centuries? A Millenia? Although he remembered constantly all of his past lives, it was the time between that was always lost to him.

Darros strode up the path along the slopes of the Volcano of Apoy. He wore simple traveller’s clothing, a grey woolen tunic and green stained woolen trousers. It wasn’t the best of clothing, but it was comfortable for walking. He carried nothing other a walking stick to lean on as he hiked up the trail. He really didn’t need anything else, he could always summon his chain or just use magic to punish any hapless creature that thought him prey.

He was here because he had heard rumors of a dragon nesting somewhere on these slopes. An old, powerful dragon, larger than the grand Castle of Adeluna some said. Of course he didn’t believe the exaggerated size, peasants and common folk tended to think things bigger than they actually were, an understandable problem for the weak willed and weak minded people of this world. They were like ants, scurrying around; mindless and useless until given proper purpose by a greater hand than their own.

Looking around at the path Darros found a good place to sit. It was a long hike, and although he wasn’t tired he was just particularly bored. There weren’t too many people on this island, and less so with rumors of a dragon. He just wished that someone would walk up the path, someone he could toy with. He sighed. Some days it just felt like he was puppet, directed by a madman behind curtain, or a page filled with the words of a crazed author. Nothing to do, until something interesting happened. Ah well, he figured something interesting was going to happen soon.
