“Thou are cast down onto the crevices for your sins! Pray that the realm has mercy upon you!”

Those were the last words that she could recall before feeling her body plumet, her wings made useless and unable to decline the fall. Those words repeated over and over in her head as the world around her fade in and out. The sorrow that had enveloped her was now replaced with wrath against those that cursed her to this fate. Against those that had stood by and did nothing.

Against the entire realm itself.

Even with this seeming infinite well of anguish and anger, there was nothing it could do to affect her descension as she passed through the clouds, dropping closer and closer to the earth below. The final image her eyes bore before she was rended unconscious was that of a fiery mountain before it all faded to black.

It would be a few more days before a couple of natives of the island would soon find a winged woman in a crater near the base of the volcano. Soon they would gather the rest of their tribe in extracting her. She was covered in soot and smelled of smoke, and yet her divine like appearance fascinated them greatly to the point where some of them claimed that she was delivered to them by the volcano god itself. They took her back into the village and placed her into a shrine like building in order to appease their deity. On and off again she would stir and became aware that she was in a building, but not sure where or why. As her consciousness became stronger, the angel could see that she was taken in by…by…humans!

Filthy, disgusting humans!

She scrambled to a position where she brought her knees up against her body and buried her face into them as hot tears poured down her face. She swelled up with very anger that she felt when she was cast away from her home and as the people check on her with concern look on their faces, she lashed out and ran from them. She ran as far as she could from the village, from the yells and cries of the people as she darted back into the wilderness. She had to get away from this nightmarish reality and find some way back home.
