Angela moved with certainty towards the looming volcano in the deep distance of her dreams. It was going to begin soon and she could feel it in her bones. Something was going to begin but what? Fate was never kind to all the travellers on its road. Just like how Life eventually betrayed those it loved to its true lover Death.

It sounded pitiful in her mind to think she was just leading her children to hell. There was no bright end for them just darkness. Just silence. It made her twitch. The white fabric of her dress was tugged on as a native woke her up. The child was upset. The Mother took the small one in her arms and hushed her softly. She was on the island because of these dreams.

"What ails you my child? What wells those tears?" Angela brushed the girl's dark hair back.

"There's a creature down by the water. I'm scared Mother." 

"Mother won't let anything happen to you little one." Was that true? In the end something would happen to her. She was a virgin in the land of sacrifices. It would be best that she turned herself into a whore to survive. Would she be stoned for it? Maybe but humanity tended to be disgusting like that. "I'll go check." She wrapped the little one in a soft blanket before leaving her tent down to the sea.

It did not take her long to find said creature. "You should be careful friend. Out  on this island they are not so kind."

It had been a long time since Cha'Kwe'Tza had been on the island of Apoy. He had figured that the first time he was here would also be his last, especially considering the fashion in which he had departed. Casting his gaze to his left and right flanks, the warrior saw that there were no watchers in the tree line on the far side of the beach. Where moments before just his head was above water, Cha'Kwe'Tza slowly pushed forward through the crashing waves, body rising from the dark ocean water. A quick dash across the sand brought the big warrior into the cover provided by the vegetation, but he had a minor concern about the prints he'd left. The locals would know he was back for sure if they found them.
