"Just a portal to Jayou? I wouldn't be the gossip queen if I wasn't able to do more than that." It was true that Angela did love good juicy bits of story. She showed up whenever she was mentioned and she was always listening.

"I'll just drop you right into Raile's now that you ask." The portal appeared behind them and Angela gave them both a good shove. "Be safe and I hope you find what you are looking for. The both of you." The portal closed as the two of them were thrown into the chaos that Jala had started.

Lady Angela’s overly long, and somewhat complicated information dump on love was interesting, but for the most part it went over Lewis’ head due to the fact that he still did not understand what the emotion even meant to him, or how to even feel it. He felt something strong at a few points when he was inside Simone, but nothing that he could really identify as ‘love.’

It was probably something he was not meant to understand, and that the will of the Goddess was nothing more than something he was to learn of later. As Simone came back, he helped her stand, and took notice of how Lady Angela spoke to her regarding the memories He assumed using the crystal would be something close to it.

Lady Angela passed the memory crystal over to the assassin, who promptly tied it around his neck and hid it beneath his shirt. It would be better to keep this possession on him at all times, rather than risk it getting lost or stolen.

“Well then…” he said awkwardly after the talks died down. “I think we should be on our way…” Lewis crossed his arms. There was one more problem that he needed solved. “Erm…Lady Angela. How exactly…are we supposed to get out of here?” They got here via magic. He assumed they needed to leave the same way. “Could you…perhaps open a portal to Jayou?”

Angela shook her head and looked around the room, "No, love is quite the opposite Lewis. It is one of the hardest emotions to understand. Love doesn't make sense and sometimes it does. Sometimes its false and sometimes its the very real thing. It feels like your stomach churning, butterflies, your heart squeezing, and there is so much more. How each person perceives love is different to the next. Not even I can completely control it because you could say its alive."

She explained it regardless if Lewis wanted to know or not. "Emotions are a core piece of everyone. To learn control is to become the strongest version of yourself. I have a daughter named Cassia and she discarded all emotion for nothing but power and rage. She does nothing but destroy and devour. Her heart is a blackhole and I'm not entirely sure it even exists anymore. However, my other daughter Nerezza… She is true to herself and she is in control of her emotions. She can turn them off and do her job or she can be the most loving person you can imagine. It's like a switch. Do you know which one is stronger? Cassia who is three hundred years old or Nerezza who is only in her thirties?" She waited before she went to mix more potions. "It's Rezza. She would wipe the floor with her sister. Cassia knows nothing but rage because an emotion will always exist. Listen to this advice well Lewis and you will become stronger. Discarding is the same thing as running away and it's weak. Love is considered one of the greatest strengths a person can have but also one of great weakness. Strength is having the ability to overcome things you see as weakness through sheer willpower. Of the greatest warriors I have blessed love was always something that powered them up the most. Just things to keep in mind."

Angela took a fine powder and drew a bunch of symbols across Simone as the magic finally faded. Simone began to breath again and she woke up, "Did I pass out again?"

"Aye, it appears due to the accident that Lewis found you at that you've suffered some trauma. You might experience black outs every once in a while. Nothing to be scared of." The goddess smiled at Simone.

"Alsooo," she smacked Lewis upside his head. "Don't talk to me like that. You asked me for help and you have my undivided attention. You should get the most out of that instead of being stubborn. You are doing a job for me which means anything is open for discussion if you need knowledge and I can provide it. It would be wise to use it. If I am busy I have attendants who can help me. That's what they are there for and my high priestesses. I do what I want these days~"

The moment that Lady Angela spoke of Rhenakos, Lewis sighed. Was the Goddess just fucking with him, reading his mind and setting up the events like a set of dominoes? Or was this some greater power at work. Either way, Lady Angela had made her request, and it wasn’t all that difficult to do. Rhenakos could track down magical entities about as well as Lewis could track down non-magical entities. Finding a pregnant woman would be a breeze in comparison. Between the two of them, and even despite Lewis’ hatred of the man, he and Rhenakos could find just about anything if they put their skills and tools together.

“Fine,” Lewis said with a grumble. The Goddess’ next set of words, though, brought an uncomfortable feeling to the bottom of Lewis’ stomach. Those damned emotions…

“You speak of love as if it’s something that can be easily understood,” Lewis said. She was, of course, the Goddess of Life and Love. “Your understanding of it is fair and all, but…” The ultimate expression of love? What the hell was that supposed to feel like? “I don’t understand.” He folded Raile’s address and placed it in his pouch. He had been around Raile a few times, but had never really stepped foot in the shop.

“Don’t bother trying to explain it,” Lewis stated, if a little snappy to the Goddess. “Just bring Simone back and we’ll be on our way. I’d hate to take up any more of your time.” If Lady Angela was anything like Lord Raith, she was a busy woman indeed.

“It boils down to killing the fey lord,” Angela repeated his words.

She crossed her arms, “Simone might be able to help you. With what you did, you connected all the different parts of her. In doing so, you let her power free. This is the magic power that’s been building up inside of her… It might also allow the real Simone out to give you hints.” Angela explained easily enough.

“I have no use for coin boy,” the Goddess made gold appear in a pile for her out of thin air. “I rule that domain.” Angela tapped her fingers on the table, “I have a job that I need to be done recently. Like… Really recently. My pregnant daughter was kidnapped about five minutes ago and her lover is freaking out. Apparently a djinn got drunk and married an entire marketplace together… You’ll have to work with him. His name is Raile and my moron of a grandson-in-law is there too. I haven’t met him but my ex-husband couldn’t stop calling him an idiot. Name is… Rhenakos?” She waved her hand not even realizing that they might have the same ideas.

Angela went over to her desk and jotted down the address of Raile’s shop and handed it to Lewis. “She’s on a road to destroy herself and no one can save her. The best thing you can do for her is to give her what she wants. To me that’s the ultimate form of love,” Angela was nonchalant about it because she had seen and heard everything. “By the way, you were maybe in Simone’s mind for an hour at most. Any questions before I wake up sleeping beauty?”

Lewis was terrified at the swiftness in which Lady Angela killed Simone. There was a twisted beauty in the efficiency, and had he not had an entire day of sex not a day prior, he might have found himself slightly aroused by it. At this time, though, he was merely in awe at the power that she commanded.

The curse was pretty hard to make out, but the goddess was doing a quick and efficient job at explaining the important details.

“It boils down to killing a Fae Lord,” Lewis said, frowning. This wasn’t some simple assassination. This was a lot more complicated, and more complex. Did he even own a weapon capable of it? As if trying to stand out, he could almost feel an unfamiliar weight at his hip. The bone dagger? It was strange how he hadn’t noticed it till now.

How…? Perhaps it was better not to question it.

“And how exactly am I to track this Fae Lord down? Is there anything in the curse that can point us in a direction?” he asked. He might need to employ that buffoon of a demon hunter. The man could track demons like no other, so perhaps he had a way to track a fae down. Lewis smirked. He did have a few favors he could pull from the idiot.

“And…” Lewis paused. This was difficult to ask, but he knew how these kinds of exchanges went. “What do I owe you for your…assistance? As long as it does not interfere with my master’s tasks, I…can do just about anything that needs to be done. I also have coin…”

Raine was staring at Lewis who was all naked. Angela smacked her upside the head good again, “Don’t stare its rude.” Raine nodded and helped put all the food out.

Simone was hungry and she got dressed and straightened out her hair, which was a wreck from Lewis pulling it every which way the day before. She took the food he offered her and ate it quietly. Her face lit up red when he called her cute and she looked away from him shyly. “Thank you…”

Lewis wasn’t like others. He didn’t show his emotions, and Simone knew he had them from the day before. Whatever little spell that they were under had shown her who Lewis was when he could feel and she was fine with both.

She finished eating and tilted her head at him. “Was something wrong with the apple?” She was curious but she let it go if he didn’t want to answer her. Simone stuck close to Lewis as they ventured into the main temple.

Simone was bright red as she saw the clergy members with little clothing on and their breasts hanging out. “Is this normal?”

“Of course! A maiden’s beauty should be celebrated! It’s not new for outsiders to ask us about it!” One of the clergy members was excited as they told Simone about it.

“Oh,” she tilted her head but she got closer to Lewis as all the people were scaring her.

They found the clinic easily and Angela was preparing an amulet of sorts. It was a blueish purple crystal on a chain. “Oh good, you made it.” Angela was hustling and bustling around the clinic trying to finish what she was doing. “Until you find the way to kill her for real I’m making this amulet for you. I don’t know how long you’ll have Simone with you.”

The goddess stopped, “Shit.” She should have knocked Simone out first.

“What?” Simone’s heart was beating rapidly. “Kill me? For real?” She took twenty steps away from Lewis. “You brought me here to kill me?! AFTER WHAT YOU SAID?!” She was screaming at him as the panic set in. The shrieks of her voice as reality set in for her shattered some of the vases in azure flames. “Am I just some sort of sick toy to yo–” Angela was quick as she put her staff right through Simone’s heart. That feeling that Simone was giving out was heartbreak and betrayal.

“Sorry about that, it didn’t occur to me that she might not have known about her condition,” she looked at Lewis. “I can restore her to just before but I want to read the curse first.” She pulled out the obsidian staff from Simone as her body slumped to the floor.

It wasn’t regenerating and the curse wasn’t activating as it did before. “I’m delaying it slightly. Can you pick her up and put her on the table?” After he did that was when the curse took hold only Simone was asleep.

“The amulet I made you will allow you to restore memories that you’ve witnessed. After you leave here I can’t just grant her memories back like I am right now. She’ll remember everything up until what I said. This is important Lewis… If she realizes she’s stuck she will panic. She’s dangerous the way she is with the fey magic floating through her. She doesn’t know how to control it.”

Angela waved her hand and the curse came up. She said the phrase and the curse began to rearrange itself. Angela moved around to read it. "No god can break this kid. This… this was crafted to be unbreakable. You will have to kill the caster. This line right here," she pointed at it as she spoke. "The price of freeing her is to have her bare the fey lord's child. Then two lines down say that if it's broken any other way than his death or what he wants that the curse will inflict tenfold on the person who did it. This is a nasty curse. One of my fellow goddesses might be able to find a loophole for you but even with her it might take a while."

Lewis was slow to wake up as Raine and Angela invaded their space. Invaded may have been a strong word,a s technically Lady Angela was the owner of the whole realm they were in, but it felt as though she were breaking some kind of code to personal privacy. Not that the Goddess of Life and Love would be shy to sex or the after of it all.

Once that ramble of thoughts sorted itself off, Lewis had a general idea of why she had come in. And she was right. They were both starving. The first thing that he did was immediately down the juice that was given to him. If he was embarrassed that Raine or Lady Angela could see him naked, he didn’t show it.

“It’s…appreciated.” Whatever the fever dream they had the day before was gone. Lewis was clear headed, and as emotionless as usual. Well, for the most part. He took a glance at Simone, who was apparently uncomfortable being so naked in front of their ‘guests’. There was a twinge of…something in his emotional spectrum, but he ignored it. He gave Lady Angela a look when she asked if it was fun.

“Whatever.”

Once the Goddess and the bird were gone, Lewis got dressed. The food that they had brought was a collection of fruits, and the first thing that Lewis grabbed was an apple. He bit into it, and while he chewed, had an uncharacteristic look of disappointment on his face, but he would not dare say why out loud.

Lewis offered Simone some of the food as well. He wasn’t sure hot to interact with her, but every time he did he felt a twinge of something, but nothing even remotely close to the intensity of the previous day.

“You…look cute today,” he said finally. He wasn’t sure why he said it, and when the words left his mouth, it sounded like he didn’t mean it. But Simone knew deep down that he did, somehow. “We should get going. I let Lady Angela know what she needed to know yesterday. I’m sure we’ll have things to do.”

He wasn’t entirely sure how much Simone knew of what happened in her mind, but he wasn’t about to bring any of it up without a reason. Furthermore, he had to figure out how long he was in there, and what lasting effects there might be.

Ah shit…I hope Lord Raith hasn’t needed me…this could be a problem.

Simone shouldn’t have even blushed at those words but she did anyway. She had never heard those words from anyone, that she could remember, and while older Simone would have winced – She didn’t. She loved that Lewis liked the way she looked.

They spent the entire day in what seemed like a hazy gaze. They explored everything that they might like and found a few boundaries that each wouldn’t cross. It was hectic and she found herself checking to make sure everything was real every once in a while. This was different for older Simone too as she bared witness, he knew the real her. However, she couldn’t forget what she had to do. This was all so temporary to her just like everything else had been.

The next day they slept plentiful as the day before’s activities had worn them completely out. Simone was wrapped around Lewis and Lewis had a good grip on her as well. She woke up and blinked a few times trying to make sense of it all. She could still feel his heartbeat so close to hers. She kissed his neck and snuggled into it.

“Gods you two have made a mess in here,” Angela finally opened the door smelling nothing but sex. Simone pulled up the blankets to cover her chest more than what Lewis was covering for her. “What it at least fun?” The goddess poked fun at Lewis. “I brought you breakfast since you two have got to be starving you were fucking all day.”

Was it really all day? Simone was bright read as Raine brought in different fruits and entrees. She wrinkled her nose a bit but Angela shook her head at her. No questions, right. “Here’s some juice, it will help with your energy! It’s made from the berries in the gardens!” Raine said cheerfully as she put the pitched down with some cups.

“We’ll leave you two be to eat, get dressed, and meet me in the clinic. Won’t be too hard to miss it since you aren’t that far from it.” Angela left them be again and Raine was looking at them curiously before she left.

“Is that really what it smells like!?” There was a surprised noise from Angela smacking the bird upside the head as the door closed.

"Good… Morning Lewis," Simone said shyly as she tucked some of her hair behind her ears. Maybe it had mostly been a dream? Was that even possible?

Whatever self restraint and hesitation that the two of them had was slowly starting to crumble as they explored each other. Simone was getting more courageous with her touches, finally her cool grip wrapping around the shaft of his cock, the cold a stark contrast from the heat they were both feeling. Lips crashed against each other as each of them grew bolder, Lewis’ free hand exploring her body, playing with her breast for a moment before realizing that she had a little more control over him that he had on her.

Still, as Simone started to slowly stroke, Lewis found himself once more buried in her neck, biting at her softly. Both of them were moaning in almost harmony, their souls in a form of resonance as they felt each other on a whole new level. Finally, though, without speaking they both pulled back, or only for a moment. He adjusted himself, sitting on her legs so that he could see her full body beneath him.

Simone blushed, looking away, but her smile was clear as day. “You’re beautiful, you know,” he said. It was strange, but he meant it.

Without waiting for a response, he moved his leg between hers, forcing them apart. This part, at least, he learned from Lust. He moved down, placing his head between her legs, licking almost teasingly at her warm pussy He could feel her breaths catch, and her body tense and release. She wanted it, and Lewis could feel it. There was little reason to deny her, and his tongue parted her lips, tasting her. It was familiar to him, tasting similar to Lust, but this was somehow less harsh, and felt more genuine. He hungrily lapped at her, running his tongue across her clit, focusing on it briefly in intricate and chaotic swirls. Simone’s moans grew louder as she tried to stifle them. One hand gripped the sheets beneath her as if holding on for dear life, the other entangled in Lewis’ hair as she pushed down, practically begging for more.

It didn’t take for Simone to be pushed over the edge, crying out suddenly as her mind went blank from an orgasm. Her entire body tensed completely, and her grip on Lewis’ hair was almost painful. As she came, Lewis smirked, unable to contain his pride in her pleasure, her legs quivering as the climax took it’s full course.

Simone’s body finally relaxed as the pleasure started to ebb, her pants mixed with a tiny bit of laughter. It was amazing, and this was only the start.

Lewis wiped his face with a towel, still smirking. Just like her, he knew this was only the start. There was much more to come…

For several hours, they explored each other in many different ways. Simone tasted Lewis’ cock, taking the full length into her mouth. Lewis played with every inch of Simone’s body, finding every pleasure point as they tested the boundaries of their pain and pleasure. Simone found her desire to be choked, and loved fighting back…all a part of the intense pleasure. And finally, Lewis took Simone as a lover would on their wedding night. His cock slid into her, and she gripped his shoulders, her moans mirroring his as they fucked the rest of the day away.

At some point, they both fell asleep, each entangled in each other, their naked bodies in a loving embrace. It would be like this until the next morning when they would finally awaken…

There was a nod and a smile as she took in a sharp breath. Soft moans left her lips as he nipped at her. Her body twitching at his touches. It was familiar with him where she was not. At least a part of her was. Simone’s fingers reached up and ran her fingers through his hair as he sucked on her nipple. A light happy whimper left her mouth as gripped his hair. It was a lot to take in as he shifted to the other breast.

He kissed back up her collarbone after he was done before making it to her lips. They kissed softly for a few before Simone moved her hands from around his neck to his pants. Unlacing them seemed a bit more of a challenge but she got it done and helped him with her skirt as they slid everything off.

She held her breath as she looked him over from head to toe. Simone appeared to enjoy the view before pulling him down to her and kissing him. Her hips softly grinded against his as she parted their lips to taste him some more. Simone could be brave if she really wanted too and let her hands wander down him. She felt his muscles, his hips, and finally, her hand found his shaft. She momentarily stopped what she was doing blushing at him. Her hand taking his fully as she caressed and rubbed, it was only after a few seconds did she go to kiss his neck and lightly bit at his shoulder.

Lewis was surprised at her actions regarding his scars. He had never really noticed them, and they didn’t mean much to him, but now that he was feeling…something…he wondered what it looked like to others. Did they see him with pity? Or fear? Courage? Or disgust? Simone had chosen affection.

Still, when she removed her blouse, Lewis blushed. This feeling….it was similar to what he had felt with the guide when they had finished off Greed and Envy, but it was…less a need, and more a want. It was controllable. The urges to feel something. However, instead of the need to feel clarity, this was the desire to make her happy.

“I’ll be gentle,” he said softly as he leaned in, kissing her back. He kissed down to her neck, gently biting. Memories of what Lust had done to him combined with his experiences with the guide had left him with little useful information here, but that didn’t stop him from feeling her out. He let go of her finally, and kissed her again. Lewis pushed her into her back, once more nibbling at her neck and collarbone, trailing more kisses down to her breasts. He licked her nipple gently before taking one in his mouth, gently sucking on it.

He had barely any idea what he was doing, and was waiting on cues from Simone’s reactions. Harder? Softer? More? He could almost feel what she wanted, as if reading her emotions.

She jumped at her name through the gentle kiss, “Hmm?” It was all she had the strength to get out as her stormy eyes locked with his. Her face flushed softly as he caressed more of her and her skin bumped up out of a response. She liked it and for this Simone, it was completely new. Her eyes wandered down his chest and looked at all the different scars.

She hadn’t gotten a good look when they had bathed because she had slipped and fallen in the water. Her mouth went dry before leaning down and pressing gentle kisses along his neck and chest. She was nervous as was evident from how red her face remained but soon she was unbuttoning the front of her blouse for him.

Simone barely had any confidence in herself as she looked away in embarrassment. She had never really had much of a body past a good looking face, at least in her opinion. Throwing it off to the side she fought with herself just a little bit before she grabbed him and kissed him harder. “I’ve never done anything like this,” she was shy as she whispered it. “Help me?” Had he? She didn’t know in the slightest what she had put him through.

There was fear in her voice, something that Lewis was now familiar with. She was scared that he would leave her. But why would he leave her? That was an odd question. He would never leave her. Not now, and not ever. That was what his heart was telling him. At least, that’s what he thought it was. But this was all so much. The intensity of these feelings felt so different…

It was then he realized, as she was kissing his fingers, that he was trembling. These sensations were something that went against his very being. This…vulnerability was something new, something fierce. And he was terrified of it. Still, he felt himself drawing close to kiss her. This was okay. There was nothing to be scared of.

“Simone,” he whispered as his lips pressed against hers, the gentleness surprising even Lewis. He was suddenly aware that he wanted to feel more of her. His hands gently caressed her face and down her neck. Light and delicate touches, all the way down to her collarbone.

Lewis pulled his shirt off, tossing it to the side. He didn’t know why he did it, only that it felt right. There was more than just wanting her now, something deeper. There was a bond, a connection of sorts that he felt needed to be completed. Something that he had felt with the guide, and now wanted to feel with the true Simone.

There was a calm that she hadn’t felt since this entire situation started. The person who started it all was now the person who was becoming the calm. It was odd for her as she followed his motions. She couldn’t nor did she want to fight it. It seemed right and her mind was screaming at her just to let it all happen.

She snuggled into him and pressed her lips to his chest. Everything she could feel, everything she could want – It all began and ended with Lewis. It was something clear unlike the fog she had been stuck in. She let her eyes close as he stroked her hair, it was so nice. It was pleasant and she felt a burst of happiness.

Simone’s skin was rippled with goosebumps from the gentle motion he had. When was the last time her body had felt a gentle touch? Her eyes opened a bit and she felt sadness if only for a second. Why was that a question on her mind? What did it mean?

“Lewis?” Simone picked her head up a bit and she held that somber look. “Don’t leave me okay? Everyone always leaves.” What did that mean? “I want you forever.” She snuggled herself to him and kissed his neck. She was happy and she felt like it was a trap but also she couldn't deny it. She loved it so very much. Her gripped her hand in his and brought it to her lips kissing his fingers gently.

The words were mirrored back at Lewis. On a logical level, he had no understanding of them, but for some reason they resonated with his heart. They belonged to each other, at least in this moment. The desire to keep one another, to be each other’s pure and only desire. He let her kiss him, and savored the taste of her kiss.

Apples… His hand found hers, and their fingers intertwined. Lewis pulled her into a comforting embrace, her head resting next to his chest. If she listened carefully, she could hear his calm, collected heartbeat as he simply held her. This was all he wanted. His desire was her, and nothing but her.

“Mine,” he repeated, though he barely understood it. Her presence was his world. Eventually, he pulled her down so that she could lay on him, his free hand gently stroking her dark hair.

Is this…happiness? Time seemed to crawl, which was fine. This was something he was okay with, and secretly hoped that this strange calm would never end.

“Oh for Voice’s sake,” Angela groaned a bit after she watched everything. She had the key phrase. “I’ll be back. You’ll need it.” Angela left them be and warded the room completely.

Raine was nearby and she was tilting her head, “But why?”

“Because, I have a feeling that those two are going to be needing space for a bit,” the Goddess patted Raine on the head. “Don’t worry about it. Think of it… like necking with Maliik,” Angela smirked.

Raine got all bright red and started to rub at her neck. “We… don’t… do that.” It wasn’t even sex but Raine was adorable to Angela as the goddess got her phoenix to leave.

“Sure, sure. We need to prepare a meal for them.”

Simone, on the other hand, had managed to get close to him. Her eyes were wide at him and she took him in stride. “All yours and all mine too,” Simone spoke gently as she kissed him back. Her touches were a lot less fierce than the guide had been. She was calm and there was no sense of urgency like there had been before.

She could feel the pull of all of her emotions wrapping her around Lewis. The good, the bad, and everything that was in between. She didn’t understand what was going on but her hands were shaking as she took his face and caressed his cheeks with her thumbs. “Mine…” She pulled herself up to him and kissed him again.

Lewis found himself in a strange state when he woke up. Lady Angela was speaking, and only about half of the words were getting through to him as his tried to fight against the grogginess. He was exhausted in a way he had never felt before, as if he had been drained of every ounce of energy.

“Mervielle,” Lewis muttered, hoping the Goddess would hear him as he drifted back into sleep.

Even while asleep, he could feel the warmth that Simone gave off. It was…different. He had slept with others next to him on a frequent basis; growing up an orphan on the streets had that effect, but it was never so loving and tender as what he felt. Simone’s presence was almost calming. When he woke up, he didn’t startle awake like he would normally do in a strange place. Instead, he lay there, listening to Simone’s breathing. He was hyper aware of it and of her entire being.

He yawned, and felt the girl next to him stir. Lewis sat up, and looked at the sleepy Simone that lay next to him. She seemed happy and content, but made a little whine when Lewis moved away. The assassin smiled for a moment, caressing her hair.

Why? He frowned. Why was he smiling? His hand was still stroking her hair. Am I…happy? He looked down to her. I’m happy because she’s here with me. Because she’s mine… He paused. That was a strange sensation to feel. This…desire to keep her as his, the desire to contain her, to have all of her to himself.

He leaned down and kissed her. “Mine…” he whispered, as if saying the word would actualize it. “All…mine.”

Everything opened up in a matter of moments after the guide was killed. The world flooded out in a crash of warmth. Summer unlike the winter that the younger Simone had been stuck in. Fields of wildflowers and vibrant life. There was laughter, the sound of children playing. The vague visage of Simone walking behind the dark-haired girl. “Cecilia, don’t run off too far alright?”

“Alright, Momma! BUT I’M NOT SCARED!” The little girl looked just like Simone. “I’m strong like you,” the little girl laughed as she continued to run in the field. Their images disappeared but it was a good memory unlike the rest of this place.

A tree appeared and a small boy was playing on a swing, “Look how high I can go Ma!” Simone was reading a book and she looked up at him and smiled.

“If you go any higher you’ll touch the sky! I’ll never be able to see you again if you touch the sky!” Simone chuckled a bit and shook her head. “Please be careful my heart.” The boy just grinned and he kept trying to go higher.

“I’m not scared!” He called out to her and again the memory faded.

The castle in the distance looked like the one on fire but in pristine condition. Lewis ventured towards it as the birds sang in the sky. The soft sound of flowing water could be heard from the river in the meadow.

A hill appeared and Simone was helping an old man up it. “This was a lot easier when I was younger,” the man sighed a bit.

“I can’t recall,” Simone batted her eyes at him.

“No, you still look at as young as the day I pulled you from that dungeon,” He kissed her forehead. “Just a little farther now but I don’t think I’m going to make it back down the hill.” He teased her.

“I’ll carry you,” Simone took his hand and he shook his head.

“You are young enough to be my great-granddaughter now. It’s a bit weird isn’t it?”

“Technically, according to you I’m older than you anyway,” she teased, “You’ll make it back down the hill because you have to take care of me.”

“Until the day I die, I’ll protect you.”

The memory faded once more and Lewis found himself inside the castle. This time it was a small Simone who was running around the castle. No older than six.

“Princess Simone! Please! You’ll trip, fall, and hurt yourself!” The maid was chasing after her but Simone’s laughter was filling the castle. Simone tripped over herself and landed on her face. A nobleman came out of the room and scooped her up.

“You were told not to run… Simone, why do you have to be so stubborn huh?”

“I don’t know Daddy,” Simone batted her eyelashes up at him as he kissed her forehead. “Why are you so stubborn?” She puffed her face up at him.

“Because I have the world’s most hard-headed daughter,” he laughed and tickled her. It was the final memory before Simone stood in front of Lewis. She smiled at him though it was sad but it had a happy rhythm to it.

“You made it. You survived. I knew you could do it. The guide was the good piece of me and I gave her to you because I trusted and believed in you. Her goal was to reunite all of me together in her so I could get all of them back. This is my final journey and I need to be able to be free without my dark side being able to interfere. Lust understood what this was and learned sometime after your first encounter with her. While I may be angry, I still have everything else too. This is me, Lewis. This is who I actually am. Cold as I maybe it’s because of the world that shaped me and I had to become cold to survive.”

She approached and kissed his forehead. “Keep the dagger, you might find that it brings some use to you.” Her presence was warm, inviting, and she could feel everything the guide felt. Her heart had to steel itself so she could do what she had to though.

“The keyword is merveille. I can’t thank you enough for ending this hell for me,” she kissed him and pushed him back through a door. Lewis found himself waking up in a bed with Simone entangled around him now.

Her soft breathing was an indicator of her slumber, “Lewis…” She said sleepily as she wrapped herself around him more letting her head nuzzle softly against his neck.

“Welcome back to the world of the living,” Angela spoke as she was mixing a potion. “I moved you to a room because you’ll need to recover from your trip into her head. You and her both actually. I didn’t think separating you two was a good idea since you were inside of her mind. Now that you are awake I can rest a bit more easily now.”

It was over. Lewis fell down, exhausted. The pain was catching up to him now. He wasn’t sure he would even stay conscious of much longer, but he ignored it as the guide came to him, panicked but safe. Lewis tried to sit up, but the pain caused him to fall back, and he gasped in agony.

“It’s a good…good thing none of this is real, right?” Lewis said with a sarcastic smile. What the hell am I doing? He winced as the guide placed her hands on his now defrosting shoulder.

“This is a lot of damage, but I can-”

“Don’t bother,” he replied, forcing himself to sit up. “We’re so close now…” With the guide’s help, they made their way over to the new structure that had appeared on the ground. All around them, the keep had dissolved, leaving them in the calm, open forest. It took Lewis a moment to realize, but this had been where they first met.

“It’s changed…” he said, a little surprised. The sun was beginning to set, but the breeze on the horizon was warm. He looked back to the keyhole. “So…this is…”

The guide helped Lewis over to it. They stared in silence for a moment before she let Lewis go, making sure he could stand on his own.

“Yes,” she said finally. “This is…this is where we part ways.” Simone’s breath caught for a moment. “Oh. The dagger!” She went and grabbed it from where it was dropped, and returned, standing above the platform. “It’s simple really,” she said. “All it needs is…for me to die.”

Lewis stared at her for a moment, processing. “I see.” There was nothing but ice in his voice. It was to be expected. But this still felt…awkward for some reason.

The guide smiled. “I…I’m glad we met, really. I’ve been-” She paused. “We’ve been waiting for so long.” Her smile trembled. “We’ve wanted this for so long.” She held the dagger against her heart, her hands trembling. “So…”

Lewis closed his eyes.

He could hear everything around them. The breeze whistling by, the sounds of insects chirping on this distance, and even Simone’s trembling breaths. She was scared.

“Lewis, I can’-” she said, dropping the dagger. Tears streamed down her face. “I don’t want to…I can’t bring myself to leave. I…” Her voice broke.

The assassin hobbled over to her, leaning down to pick up the dagger. “Here…”

“But it has to be me,” she replied. Lewis hugged her from behind, taking her hands in his, forcing her to hold the dagger, guiding it to her heart. “Lewis…what are you-”

“Shh. Just listen,” he said, his eyes closed. “You’ve done well. I’m so proud of you…” There was a warmth to his voice. His voice was soft and caring. It was then, that the guide realized where it was coming from. She could feel his heartbeat resonating with hers. They were as one, if only for a moment.

“It’s time, though, for you to rest.”

The dagger plunged into her heart, and she felt her breath hitch. It was…painless. “Lewis…thank you.” Tears streamed down her face. Her body began to fade into a mist, which sunk into the keyhole. There was a resonating sound that shook the world…the sound of Simone’s heart unlocking.

Lewis stepped back, a single tear streaking down his face. That emotion that she shared with me… It had been the most confusing thing about all of it. It was the most intense thing he had ever felt in his entire life, and he held no idea of what it could mean.

Was it…love?

Wrath was the fighting spirit that Simone had. It was what kept her alive but also what was damning her as well. “If you think this will stop me YOU HAVEN’T LEARNED A FUCKING THING,” Wrath roared even with the dagger in her. Even with her neck slit. She was still trying to come forward. This was Simone and she was a survivor.

It was the Guide this time who managed to get enough strength to free herself. Now that Lewis was near her she could focus and use her strength that she had kept hidden. She managed to take out the Simone with the spear and take it. There was panic as she ran at Wrath. “Stay away from him!” The guide shrieked.

“YOU JUST DON’T LEARN,” Wrath screamed as she tried to attack the guide but the guide was smart as she dodged and shoved the spear through Wrath’s heart. She took the dagger and pulled it out.

“No, I learn unlike you,” the guide cut off Wrath’s head, and only then did things seem to stop turning. The landscape disappeared and before them was a strange tile with engraved lines. It looked to have a keyhole near the center.

The guide dropped the dagger and ran over to Lewis, “Are you alright? I’m so sorry I didn’t realize she was behind me until it was too late.”

Author: Dusk, Posted: Wed Sep 16, 2020 3:48 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Wrath’s power was something far more than anything Lewis was expecting. It was only after the very world itself started to reshape that he realized his mistake. He had assumed that the Sins each had their own domain and that they never crossed into each other. The reality was much different.

Wrath’s domain was the entire world. Simone’s anger had consumed her, and for that, Wrath had become the ruler of the entire mental landscape. It was that anger that protected the real Simone. Lewis was beginning to understand that, even though he had already beaten six of the sins, that he may not come out of here alive.

The journey to Wrath’s keep took little time; the Sin had set up a direct path, and was waiting. The moment that Lewis stepped into her realm, Wrath went on a tirade of venom and malice, practically ready to end it all. Her threat to the guide was sold.

“Five minutes,” Lewis repeated as the copy Simone stood in front of him. No time. Ignore her. Go for the head of the snake. His eyes darted to Wrath. As if knowing his intention, the copy Simone struck out with a volley of swift, efficient blows. The first blow struck Lewis across the face. His shock wore off quickly though as he avoided the next set of strikes.

Blood welled up on the cut across his cheek. The pain was a wake up call. This Simone was nothing like the guide. This complicated matters.

The dagger puts me at a massive disadvantage. She has range on me, but I don’t have time. Lewis was once more caught of guard as the warrior Simone lunged in, stabbing at him from a distance as if expertly wielding a spear. The thrusts were far too difficult to dodge consecutively. The last blow struck his shoulder.

How long? He scrambled up, ignoring the fact that his left arm was now virtually useless. He could feel the blood pouring from the wound. Lewis could hear the guide calling out his name, ignoring her own pain. But her voice was so far away, and his visionw as swaying.

How much…longer… There was something tugging at his heart. Was this fear again? Fear of loss? Fear of death? No…this is something more. This was a brand new feeling. He took a step forward.

“Fuck you…” he spat out. Determination. He couldn’t see the guide anymore, but he could feel her. Her voice of concern was calling for him, echoing in his mind. His hazel eyes flickered an azure blue, if for a moment, and he felt a wave of emotions. Fear. Concern. Hate. Sorrow. Anger. Lust. Pain.

This is…the guide? He looked down at the dagger, which was now shimmering with a blue haze, the blood from his arm having splattered across it. But there was more than this. More emotions flooded in from the guide, overwhelming Lewis. But that was all he needed. He stabbed the dagger into his shoulder, feeling a piercing cold envelop his arm.

Just enough to stop the bleeding. His eyes focused on the shocked look of both the warrior Simone and Wrath. Move fast. He dashed forward at a surprising speed, swiftly dodging the warrior’s stabs, and slit her throat. Without skipping a beat, he threw the dagger, aimed straight for Wrath’s head, the blade leaving a blue streak through the air as it flew to its target.

The landscape shifted in front of him at a breakneck pace. It was outdoing everything the little guide had ever done. The world shifted and above him was a large gray eye that stared at him. “I’m waiting for you at the stronghold just like pathetic little Lust said.” The eye disappeared and the pathway opened up to the large stone building.

Screams of agony were all around. Simones whipping and torturing images of the past, but his path was clear. The room where he found Wrath lounging on her own little throne waiting staring at him. The guide was chained up to the wall.

“This little bitch has caused so many problems,” Wrath threw a dagger and just barely missed the guide who was whimpering in pain. “Why couldn’t she have just stayed gone and why the fuck are you here?” She screamed and fire burst up from the empty torches as she stood up.

“Why do you even care? Kill her, sell her, butcher her. Get your sick shit done already because you are the same as them. In the end, it is self-satisfaction that you are looking for as you end her life. That makes you no better than them.” She stood up, “Still fair is fair. You brought your ugly disgusting ass all the way through this hell hole to see me I guess I should be honored.” She was spitting venom.

“I’ll kill the guide in five minutes.” She summoned another Simone who came in with a sharpened stick. “Painfully at that. Five minutes is all you have.”

“Finally,” Lewis said as Lust appeared before him. He was going to end it quick before she could do anything, but paused. Her intent was gone. She showed little aggression, and made no moves to subdue him.

I don’t understand. He listened as she spoke. It was clear that she was finished, that she was laying down and letting Lewis through. But it made no sense. I don’t get understand at all. Simone was a survivor, one who refused to break, yet now…now she was just letting it go?

“I don’t get it,” Lewis said aloud. The whole thing was just a complicated mess of human emotions that, in the end, were all useless. And yet, for some reason, the assassin felt like he was lying to himself. That he did, just maybe, understand her a little bit. Was that something that he was capable of? Sympathy?

“This fucking place…” Lewis said finally as he walked up to Lust. “All of you fucking sins…” The dagger was in hand, ready to pierce Lust’s heart. “How fucking dare you make me feel something…” He plunged the dagger into Lust’s heart.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

The ground fell beneath Lewis, and he fell backwards. He landed on his back, confused. The sound of the stream off in the distance meant he was close to where Lust had pulled him from.

“Guide? Simone!?” Lewis called out. He was met with silence. Lust was right. Wrath had taken her.

“Wrath! Where the hell are you!” Lewis yelled out. He was so close to finishing this, so close to ending it. Where was she? Had the guide ever mentioned Wrath’s domain?

Author: Simone, Posted: Wed Sep 16, 2020 2:58 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

“He was desperate,” Lust finally showed herself as the scenery faded into the field he knew well enough. “He spoke out of turn in the Unseelie court. Got himself not only thrown out with his followers but the Unseelie Queen has a cruel sense of humor. She cursed him not to be able to reproduce and all of his followers were sterile of the day he found the girl she would bless as their savior.” Lust frowned deeply, “How he went about trying to get his way makes him the only one responsible for what has happened to me. The Unseelie Queen herself has been disgusted by it but the curse is in full effect and not even she can undo what she did. That's why he does what he does. I'm the only one who can make him not alone anymore.”

Lust walked around but stayed out of Lewis’s reach. “I’m tired too, we’re all tired. Me, Wrath, secretly that Guide too. I want you to end this. Lust isn’t just about the flesh Lewis, but I need to make sure you are strong enough for what is going to come. Wrath will not hesitate and she’s already making her move against you.”

She folded her arms against her, “I lust for death but before you kill me. I made you feel just like how we felt so many years ago. Over and over not understanding the why until the end. I’ve made you understand us at least a little. Wrath captured the guide and she has her held hostage at the stronghold. Hurry up and get to it already. Your journey is almost over.”

The assassin watched on with interest. Perhaps there was a clue somewhere on how to beat Lust, or better yet, kill Simone outright and beat the curse.

Even as he watched on, Lewis found himself almost amused at the lengths that the few lord was going to break Simone. And there was a hint of…pride? Simone didn’t seem like the kind to break. Watching as he broke against her will was awe inspiring.

“You’ve lost everything,” he said aloud. Lewis crossed his arms. “And yet you’ve still stood fast against the fey lord.” There wasn’t much else to say. Lust was either biding for time, or trying to lure him into a false sense of security. Just how much longer…

“What is it that you want, Lust?”

Author: Simone, Posted: Wed Sep 16, 2020 2:27 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

He was right to assume that Lust had many things to show him. Things to make him understand just why Simone could be as cold as she was. One couldn’t tell how many years went by but from the flicker of seasons and scenery it could have been a few. There were many things that flashed before Lewis’s eyes. Love, hate, murder, violation. A girl who didn’t know who she was… She was most vulnerable to people who would abuse her.

However, what Lust showed him next, wasn’t another rape, but instead a happy moment. Simone was laying in bed and she was crying out in pain as a man was besides her trying to calm down. The crying of someone else gave way and Simone got excited. “Let me see!” She was exhausted though but the father swooped down after the healer was done and cleaned the babe.

Soft black locks just like Simone. “She screams like you do,” the man laughed and Simone made a face.

“That’s unfair and you know it. You can’t just pick on an exhausted woman like that,” she smirked and he brought over the baby to her as she held it. “Hello,” Simone was all wide-eyed over her as she played with the child’s fingers. “You are so very small,” she was tired but it didn’t deter her. “I think I love you very much already.”

The child stopped her screaming and just listened to Simone. “She knows you already.”

“I would sure hope so… I slaved a long nine months for her,” Simone snorted as she closed her eyes only briefly for a second. It was enough time for the whole building to shake and destroy itself. The rafters of the house killing the man and the healer. Simone brought the baby closer to her as she was unable to move.

“This is what you do with your life? You deny me and yet for filth you–”

“You are the filth. I told you I would never give you what you wanted,” Simone kept the child hushed but she was scared.

“Then I’ll just have to show you just how fragile life is,” the fey lord stole the child from her. It wasn’t hard when Simone was barely conscious but the screams from her as she watched him take a dagger and end the child. It was haunting. “I can take whatever I want from you. Whenever I want it, if you weren’t so broken and used now I would show you again.”

Simone was an uncontrollable sobbing mess before the fey lord slit her throat and picked her up. “Maybe again soon,” he was playing with her as he hauled her out. “Do your worst to her and try to break her. I really don’t care how.” He tossed her to a group of men. “Destroy her, cut her up, piece her out, rape her, whatever it takes. Break her. No one will come looking for her I made sure of that.”

However, the fact that Simone remained spoke of how long they went without success. The dingy dungeons they kept her in as the scenery changed. She was chained to the wall barely able to touch the ground. She was shivering.

There was a struggle at the door and someone broke in. “Let’s get you out of here,” the man helped her get free but Simone was weak as she collapsed almost immediately. He wrapped her up and carried her out to god knows where.

"How long?" Simone was tired but she wanted to know if only for her own sanity.

"Seven years."

As Lewis approached, he could hear the sounds of Simone being violated, her cries echoing throughout the burnt out halls of her castle. No one was left alive to respond. Lewis came across them, gripping the bone dagger. He knew better than to try and intervene. This was a memory, and doing so would change nothing. Instead, he watched as she struggled against the fey lord, how she killed herself in spite, and how his anger grew.

There was a feeling that stirred in Lewis’ heart. It had been the same as when he had tried to save those who were sold off into slavery. The children who were less fortunate, and broken in body and spirit. This was just like it. And Lewis had killed for less. There was that delicate balance of selflessness and selfishness that he held in his heart…

“You were weak,” he said as he knelt over her curled form. “But you didn’t deserve this.” The strong are meant to protect the weak, at any cost. Those who abuse the system deserve to die. That’s how I started all of this. Xeik had been against it, thinking he could change hearts with kindness. He was nothing more than a fool.

“I commend you for surviving, though,” Lewis said as he stood up, watching as she offed herself again. “It tried to break you, and almost succeeded.” He turned around, looking into the darkness that was slowly spreading from where he came, eating away at the fire from the light.

“And what will you show me next, Lust?”

Author: Simone, Posted: Tue Sep 15, 2020 1:56 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Snow. It was all that she could remember in her younger form. The last thing she had been doing was playing in the snow. Her father had been watching. Sure, she was eighteen and she was acting like a child but thanks to the fey lord she could really only enjoy certain things now. When she did wake up to the fire though she remembered running through the castle coughing.

“Princess!” One of the guards was yelling but the stone walls were collapsing in. She fought her way up the stairs to the top of the burning castle. Her skin was freezing since she was barely dressed from her night attire. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at Auclair. It was all on fire. People were dying in the streets.

“If he had listened, we wouldn’t have to watch this,” the fey lord grabbed her by the arm. “LET ME GO,” Simone reacted harshly as she shoved him. Doing so sent her over the side of the castle. Crippling her entire form as blood splattered. Lewis wasn’t so far from this now.

“That won’t work my little flower~” The fey lord came over and picked up her hair. “You are mine until the end of time or at least until you give me what I want.” Simone was scared but she could remember in that brief moment who she was and she slapped his hand.

“I hate you!” She cried, “You took everything from me.”

“I can always take one more thing from you whether you want me to or not,” the fey lord’s smile as he assaulted her and the screams as she tried to fight. The way she curled up after crying. The snow was so cold but it was melting from the heat.

“And I can die? Right?” From the puffy eyes and her lips that were turning blue from the cold. “And be reset?”

“That’s correct.”

“Then you’ll never get what you want.” The fey lord wasn’t prepared for what she did next as she grabbed the knife from belt and slit her own throat. His face twisted into rage as he kicked the newly revived Simone into the collapsing burning castle.

“You will give me what I want! One way or another.”

She had managed to pull herself up and come to the doorway to look at him, “No, I don’t think I will. I’ve never hated a single person in my life more than I hate you right now. You are asking me for pity.”

“I am telling you what I want and you are going to give it to me,” he grabbed her by her hair.

Simone’s eyes were broken but she smiled anyway, “You were cursed by the Unseelie Queen and your only hope is me. You are begging for my pity.” He punched her outright smashing her head into the wall enough to kill her.

“I will come back for you and when I do you best cooperate. There will not be a repeat of this.”

"Go to hell," Simone was laughing now and the fey lord stormed off but the laughing was followed by tears as she broke herself bit by bit. Remembering was painful she did the best thing she could do for herself was to find something sharp and end herself again. At least with no memories, she could try to survive.

Lewis was unsure of just how to call Lust out, but he closed his eyes anyway. The way that this world worked was contradictory to everything that he had learned, so why should this be any different? Lust would do anything to separate them, and that meant he would be alone for this next fight.

I’ve always preferred working alone. But was that a lie now? He had comet o respect the power that the guide Simone had, and in turn the power that the real Simone may very well posses. Does this scare me? Maybe it did, and maybe it didn’t. That sensation was something that he still struggled to reconcile.

Focus. That was the problem. He wasn’t focusing. Lust. He needed to get Lust to take him.

But I don’t… Not only had Lust stolen his mind, but his body as well. Was that something that was possibly holding him back here? That fear that he may lose himself again? That Lust could control him? Fear is a useless emotion. Cast it aside. Regret is useless as well. All you can do is accept that you were weak, and that you need to be stronger. Only the strong survive, and here you are…

Survive. Which meant letting Lust take him.

“Come and get me, Lust.”

He opened his eyes. He wasn’t quite sure where he was, but it was cold. Off in the distance he could see something bright. He took a few steps forward, and heard the sound of snow crunching beneath his feet. He shivered. What..what is this? Lewis pressed forward towards the bright light, which soon melded into an all too familiar shape.

Fire. Something was burning. He could smell death in the air. Lewis drew the bone dagger, pushing the feeling of cold to the back of his mind. He slid into the shadows, and approached…

Author: Simone, Posted: Mon Sep 14, 2020 6:28 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Simone pulled him down as he changed her bandages and answered her. Her lips went to his forehead before putting hers against his. “I’ll save you even if it means giving up my own life to do so. We are all unique here and all different despite all being Simone. I would do this for you.” I am going to do it.

“I don’t know what is going through your head but I’ve learned you enough to know… Just… Everything will be alright. Maybe not when you leave but eventually everything will be alright.” She could see he was preoccupied and she was learning him even if he tried to hide it well. They were in tune and could sense a little bit of him.

Simone got up with Lewis’s help and she thought about it. “The fight with Lust will have to be on your own. I can… give you pieces of me to fight but I can’t go where she is.” She touched his head. “Lust exists here. Where wrath attacks physically Lust lives on an entirely different level of Simone. Lust is the very last thing Simone learned but Lust is inherently strong. Because she was suppressed easily she existed cognitively, which must be weird since this is a mental landscape. Lust can make herself appear but she won’t, she knows how dangerous we are together.”

Her eyes laid on his, “If you call out to her I bet she would take you to her. You will need to play her game to get close.”

Days passed with Lewis tending to the guide Simone’s wounds, and keeping mostly to himself. He wasn’t too worried about Lust or Wrath seeking them out; so far they had all played by a set of rules and he expected that it would stay that way. Each of their domains were clear cut, and they did their best not to entrench upon each other. Still, he stayed vigil, as best he could…anything could happen here.

Days passed, and the younger Simone barely stirred. He was surprised, but only slightly so, that she did not get a fever or infection…more than likely due to the fact that they weren’t in reality.

The real world? Lewis looked to the sky. How long has it been down here? He felt as though it had been days since he had awoken to Lust and her… Call it what it is. He stopped. Would he admit it to himself? A weakness like that? It shouldn’t affect him. There was no reason to.

Yet that loss of control was…

No. It was something he would rather not deal with just yet. He couldn’t process it…not now. It would take him away from the task at hand. He had to get out of here, and kill Simone.

That’s right. Everything that’s happening now is so that I can kill her. End it all. Strange. He should feel something to that. But what? What would someone feel? Sorrow? Grief? Happiness? Relief? He didn’t know.

It would be…quiet. He could go back to being alone, working day to day for Lord Raith. My room would end up a mess again. For some reason that brought a feeling. I…don’t understand. Lewis tightened his grip on the bone dagger.

Just a feeling. Ignore it.

Finally, the guide stirred. And we’re back in action…

He made sure to change her bandages one last time before they left. As he was tending to her, she talked as though she were shocked that he was taking care of her.

“Of course,” he said as he finished up. “You’re the key to all of this.” Lewis made his way back to the rushing water to rinse his hands. When he came back, she looked at him, asking if he was okay.

I’m not okay. “I’m fine. Lewis paused. Lying to her felt…wrong. But it didn’t matter if he was okay or not. This wasn’t the place to deal with it. Besides…I’ll be okay once this is all done and over. Till then, I can just ignore it/

“Lust and Wrath are all that remain,” he said. “I’ve been to Lust’s domain once, but…I’m not sure where it is, or how to get back. And Wrath…I’m guessing she’ll find us when she’s damn ready.”

Simone was in pain but she was grateful that the arrow was out of her shoulder. She was barely coming to when Lewis came back over to her. “I appreciate what you can do though,” it hurt to talk stretching the wound a little but she couldn’t stand the silence. Her head was spinning but she closed her eyes to stop it.

“I almost lost though. I used all my energy to get you up there because I knew you would be quick about it. Too bad I’m not that great of a runner,” she laughed lightly and winced. Simone was passed out after that and it took probably a few days of rest before she was sitting up.

Instinctively she was stretched and she winced, “Ow, ow, ow. That was dumb.” She put her hand on her bandages. “You kept changing the bandages?” She looked over at Lewis. Of course he did she was his way out.

“Are you okay though?” Pride led to more selflessness for the guide.

When the guide finally awoke, she couldn’t move. The sun was high in the sky, and despite her inability to get up, she could feel the warmth of it. There were sounds to her left, a bubbling stream of water. She could hear someone washing something. There was silence for a moment, and then steps towards her. Simone felt a cool cloth, followed by sharp, almost agonizing pain rip through her shoulder. For a moment, the pain caused her to black out, but she was back moments later.

This time, she could move her head. She could see him, Lewis, rinsing a blood red bandage in the stream. Around her, the crimson and brown leaves fell, almost making the scene look…serene.

He walked back over to her after carefully rinsing her bandages, and knelt down. “You’ve been out for awhile. I’ve done what I can with the bandages to keep you alive, but…I’m not a healer,” he said. “You’ve done well, but you need to recover. Save your strength, and get some rest.”

It was strange. His voice was almost…sincere.

The guide staged herself throughout the mountain. She was hitting the army and running but she was running out of energy fast. It was an arrow that caught her in her shoulder but she still didn’t stop. If she tried to pull the arrow out she was just going to cause more damage.

Finally, when she was tired enough she sat down behind a tree. She could hear them getting closer but she was too tired to care. Was she really not going to make it now? Then she hit all the bodies hit the ground and she took a sigh. “Thank goodness,” she let it low out of her mouth as she closed her eyes to rest.

“Good job Lewis. I knew you could do it. I'm just goin-,” she managed to get out to him before she passed out from the arrow stuck in her. She had underestimated how much damage had actually been done by the stupid thing. Sleep was feeling pretty good right now.

While Lewis had not expected getting launched to the top of the mountain, he landed with grace, and adapted tot he situation. The intense fighting could be heard down below, but Lewis tuned it out. All he had to do was take out Pride, and the rest would fall.

The head of the snake. He gripped the bone dagger tightly, and approached the altar where Pride was waiting.

“Welcome,” she said as Lewis approached her ornate throne. Her eyes shimmered as she adjusted herself in her seat, leaning forward as if to examine Lewis. “I am concerned that it took you so long to get here. You must be slipping.” She leaned father forward, her low cut red dress exposing herself more, as if to tantalize Lewis into something more than just a fight.

“Think, Lewis…this world is beneath you…she is beneath you, that worthless whore of a guide…” Pride stood up, her steps resonating as she walked forward. “Just think about it Lewis, with you at my side, we could even take Wra-”

Lewis threw the knife into Pride’s throat, cutting her off mid-tirade.

“Shut up,” he said as he walked forward, grabbing the hilt of the dagger and yanking it out. Pride’s body fell back with an unceremonious thud. “That was…easy,” Lewis said, wiping the dagger down with his jacket. He turned around, and started to make his way back down the mountain.

It wasn’t long before he found her…

Going up the last bit of the mountain got a bit harder. Pride took notice of them finally and the numbers were increasing. “Think Simone, think,” the guide yelled to herself as they were getting away. She could change the environment. That meant more than landscapes. She ran past a water source with Lewis and skidded to a stop. “I can do more than just the earth at my feet. Stop thinking small. Think on your feet,” she was reassuring herself as she threw her hands into the water. “Come on,” she pleaded as the army of Simone was closing in.

Fog gushed out of the water and surrounded the area. She grabbed Lewis’s hand and pulled him, “This way.” It was causing a whole array of problems for the undead Simone. They needed Pride to see where they were going.

“I’m… I’m going to try something. I need you to trust me. I need you to find me when you are done,” She kissed him hard allowing the magic to flow from her to him. It was making her tired. She imbued him with speed and strength. “I’m going to send you now. I’ll be here when you are done.”

She could see the temple through the fog she had made, “I’ll keep them down here.” With that, she launched him as hard as she could towards the temple. A tiny circle of magic caught him so he didn’t hit the ground hard. It appeared she had given him a soft landing in the temple entrance which was vacant.

The fog below lifted.

As the morning came, Lewis felt almost at full strength. He figured he was going to need it, thanking the gods that he was at least able to rest even a little bit in this realm. It wasn’t long before the two started to make their way up the mountain, splitting off on either side of the path. At Lewis’ mark, they each hid, and waited as the first set of targets came close. Lewis nodded as the first three ‘zombies’ were taken out with a swift, powerful strike from the guide.

“Good,” Lewis said as he motioned for them to keep moving. They rushed up the path, ready for the next round. It took little time to run into the next set, Lewis motioning that the next was his to take. Without skipping a beat, he dashed forward, and before they could react, slit each of their throats. Another two down.

Four more came out from behind the trees on the path, to which he motioned for the guide to take a shot at. Like before, it was easy work to warp the world to her needs, disposing of them. This went on as they progressed up the mountain, between avoiding more patrols and eliminating others.

Still, the progress was taking a toll on both of them. “It’s not much father now. We’ve managed to avoid Pride’s gaze for now, but we should be prepared to make the last sprint once she finds out how close we are…”

Lewis looked up the crimson mountain to their goal. “Ready or not…”

Simone had no idea she could be strong and it showed through their training. She doubted herself and she was more horrified than anything that she had this ability and she never knew it. The number of times she had let herself be victimized and for what? However, she realized without Lewis showing her now that she would have never known to begin with.

The little Guide was tired after everything. She laid down next to him and listened to what he had to say. Everything was so weird to her now. “I’m still scared but I’m also worried that I won’t be good enough when the time comes… I didn’t know I could do stuff like this. She didn’t know either~ I can feel her confusion.”

She pressed her face into his arm and a thought crossed her mind. “Lewis?” Her stormy eyes popped open to look at him from where she was. “I think if we are fast and can get around them that taking her down shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Pride built herself on the highest point of the mountain. She uses her magic at a distance… If we take her out the magic should fade and they will die. What if Pride isn’t physically strong like the others?”

It was just a thought but still, they would have to make it past the army first. “We’ll just have to see how the morning goes,” she laid her head back down and put her forehead against his arm again. In the morning, they got ready and headed up the mountainside.

Simone was becoming into her instincts as Lewis had taught her. There was a small patrol of three on the cliffside. Hiding behind a set of rocks the guide put her hands on the ground. “Come on move… If I am stronger move,” she sounded frustrated as she tried to warp the landscape. After a few moments, the power rippled and the ground threw the three undead Simone over the cliff. “I did it!” She was trying to be hushed. “I cleared the way!”

Author: Dusk, Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2020 9:48 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

“Show you how to fight?” Lewis smirked. “Of course.” He shot forward at frightening speed, and lunged at the guide with a right jab. As he thought, her instinct took over and she weaved out of the way, a terrified look across her face. Lewis didn’t let up, throwing the weight of his punch into the ground, and turning it into a sweeping kick. Once again, instinct took over and she guarded with her arms, but the blow knocked her back.

“What the hell Lewis!” she cried out, her eyes tearing up. “That hu-” She stopped. She was going to say it hurt, but it didn’t. Was he holding back?

“No, I’m not holding back,” Lewis said as if reading her mind. “You’re stronger than that. Faster even. You have the survival instincts. It’s going to just take a bit more pushing…” He put up his guard. “Listen to what I say, and act. Read what’s going to happen, and predict what’s next.”

For the rest of that day, or what counted as one in the mental landscape, Lewis and the guide Simone trained. While she wasn’t exactly soldier material, she was far better off than the average person, and if this were truly an army of zombie Simones, this would be adequate enough.

Still, after a long day, they were going to need rest. Knowing that her stamina probably wasn’t built for this, Lewis went about to rekindle the fire, and the two settled down.

“Tomorrow, we’ll move in. We can fight for a while, but just be wary of your stamina. If you collapse, I won’t be able to protect you easily. It’s better to run away and try again.” He laid back, staring at the starless sky. It’s Pride I’m worried about. How to take her down… He closed his eyes. “We shouldn’t need to keep watch. From what I gather…Pride won’t leave her domain. Get some rest.”

Simone snapped out of it and looked at him directly. “Even if that is true… Where do we start? How do we know what my powers are? I can heal and I got a bit of strength but… How do I figure out what else I can do? I don’t know how to fight like you do… I’ve been going by instinct.” She rubbed her memory, “I hit Gluttony with the poker because I remember doing it to the fey’s wife.”

She was rubbing her head now as she tried to figure out how else she was useful. “So far I can only conjure magic through my mouth… Which sounds weird… I can’t just kiss them too death! THAT’S GROSS. I’m not doing it.” She crossed her arms and stared at him.

“It’s not like they are you. It’s different when it’s you.” She groaned a bit. “But… are you actually going to show me how to fight?” He already knew how fast she was… Which could have been the result of killing Sloth.

Lewis felt her grip around him tighten. “Take this seriously.” Perhaps a poor choice of words. He had never fought a God, and wouldn’t dare do it, for the fear of getting tossed aside like a doll at their sheer strength. What happened was basically what he imagined it would be like facing one.

He hit the tree hard, harder than he was expecting. The blow knocked the wind out of him, but as he was coughing and trying to catch his breath, he was already moving ahead with his plan. The guide was already trying to remedy her ‘mistake’ but this was good. He got the point across.

“Listen to me,” Lewis said finally as he managed to get his voice back. “You’re stronger now. Each Sin we’ve defeated has gifted you more strength based around their domain. This might explain why the Sins are getting harder as well. Perhaps the power is evenly distributed among the living…

The assassin smirked. “With this…we stand a chance.” He clapped his hands together. “Time for a crash course. Ready? We’ve got a lot to cover in a little amount of time.”

Simone helped Lewis set up camp and hummed to herself. Once they were done she got the fire started and settled down next to Lewis. Once he called out to her she just pointed at her self with a confused face. “But I’m not that strong…” Sure she had destroyed the castle looking for him but she had been panicking.

She rubbed her neck before she got up. “I’ll try though since you asked me too.” Simone circled him and put her arms around him in various places giving him a light tug. She would look up at him and blush a bit. She was hardly trying maybe because she didn’t want to hurt him.

Once she got a good grip on him she gave it everything she had. Perhaps a bit too much as she threw him out of her arms and into a tree. The force of it made her stumble backward and fall on her butt with an eep.

Her eyes were huge but then it dawned on her what she did and she got up and ran after Lewis. “I DIDN’T MEAN TO HURT YOU. I WOULD NEVER HURT YOU ON PURPOSE!” She began to panic as she kissed him all over trying to send him the healing magic.

Lewis stopped when the guide said a small army. “That’s going to be…problematic.” The assassin crossed his arms. The whole point of being an assassin was being able to circumvent the armies and deal a critical blow. The fact that he might have to face one head on was a problem within itself.

“We might as well make a camp here,” Lewis said finally. “There’s no point in going forward without coming up with a plan.”

It didn’t take long for the two of them to gather some firewood and create a small campfire. Lewis knew better under normal situations, but it seemed that in the mental landscape, the normal rules didn’t apply. He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. He needed to come up with a way to deal with the army that wouldn’t exhaust the reserves of energy that he had.

Even if I did have the energy, I don’t think I can take on a whole army. There has to be way to approach this. What do I have at my disposal. He thought back to what Simone was capable of. Magic. Healing magic. But why was she capable of healing? Where did that come from?

The sins. He opened his eyes. Healing. The act of giving. Selflessness. The opposite of Greed. Lewis looked at Simone in a new light. That strength. It didn’t just come from nowhere. She tore up the castle looking for me. The opposite of Sloth. A wicked grin spread across his face.

“Simone…I have a favor to ask.” He stood up. “I want you to lift me up.” It was a strange request, but he had a theory that he wanted to test.

Author: Simone, Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2020 8:50 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

The littlest Simone found herself a loose dress but managed to take a long hair ribbon and tie it around her waist. This made the dress not look that long on her. She borrowed Lewis’s dagger to cut some length off of it because she was too short. It was awfully embarrassing.

“I’m ready!” She was enthusiastic at the very least. The guide kept up with Lewis as they made their way west. “It isn’t that far from here. Pride and Gluttony got along well enough. Pride lives in a temple devoted to herself at the top of the mountain.” She pointed up to a mountain where there was a speck of where the temple was.

“She isn’t as deadly as some of them but she has a small undead army of Simones at her disposal. If we want to kill her we will first have to kill her bodyguards. Pride is good at utilizing the magic in us but she is no fighter, however, she thinks she is the best.”

The little one looked concerned, “I bet she will know we’re coming for her and have them on high alert. We’ll need to be careful.”

Lewis was genuinely surprised as the warm feelings of the ocean washed over his back. It reminded him somewhat of being in Lady Angela’s ocean, but less…deadly. Still, he was feeling a lot better, and when the guide mentioned possibly having attire that would fit him due to Gluttony’s intentions, he nodded in agreement. The two searched the main floors of the castle, and came up with a few different choices on what to wear.

Lewis had found a decent set of clothes, a black, sleeveless jacket with a bit of built in padding and a pear of heavier pants. They wouldn’t protect him from a sword, but at least they were a bit better than what he had previously. To no one’s surprise, he couldn’t find a shred of armor. The best he could do was reinforce his arms with wrappings.

“Once you’re ready, we’ll head out. West should be Pride, like you said. The sooner we head out the better.” He was worried, though. They were getting stronger as they moved closer to Lust and Wrath. Would the bone dagger hold out? Would he and the guide be able to survive? It was a legitimate concern, with the way things were going.

“What can you tell me of Pride?”

Author: Simone, Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2020 8:33 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

It stung a bit and she winced but didn’t say much about it. When he asked her to move her arms she did so without complaint as he finished looking her over. When it was her turn to see what she could do to him she hesitated. “I want… I want to try something. I just want to see if I’m even a little bit useful.”

She could do things at least minor things and she knew that the fey magic had left her with a little power. What if it didn’t have to be used for destruction. She took her hands and ran them down her back. No, that wouldn’t do it.

She bent down and pressed her lips to his back where he was hurt. There was a strange tingling from her. “Don’t panic alright…” It would feel good like a warm ocean wave. She was discovering new things about herself as a healing spell left her lips. “This won’t work on me though… Only for you.” It was a whisper.

Simone kissed his back a few more times and felt her face flush as she pulled herself pull and turned him around. “Are… You hurt anywhere else?” She rubbed her neck a bit more self-conscious than before if you could even believe that.

“Let’s check her room again… I saw some closets she might have some stuff. Especially… If she was planning on keeping you here with her.”

She didn’t seem too bad off for what she had gone through. It wasn’t the preferred method of cleaning, but the ale was better than nothing. He poured it onto the cotton, and started to dab at the wounds across her arms. He didn’t say anything about her covering her chest. He assumed this was one of those…strange human traits that he barely understood. He had already seen her naked, both in the real realm once due to her own mistake, as well as here where they…

Lewis cleared his throat. “I need you to move your arms.” It didn’t take much longer for him to dress her wounds before he turned around and knelt down, letting Simone examine his back. Not that there was much that could be done about any damage that had been done.

Only three more to go… He shivered. “It’s cold. We should definitely try to find some clothes before we head out. Hopefully there’s something to wear.”

Author: Simone, Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2020 8:01 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Simone nodded and tied up her hair. She pulled some glass from her skin and let out a low hiss before stripping the rest of her shredded clothes off. It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen it before. She found a washcloth and poured some of the water into a bowl. She took it and gently cleaned the blood off of her. “I can’t tell whos is whos…” Like it mattered it was all the same blood in the end… Wasn’t it?

It took her a while to get the blood off as she still had some dried blood from the Greed kill on her. She looked back sheepishly at Lewis before she made her way over to him. Her face shouldn’t have been flushed but it was as she covered her chest a bit with her own arms. There were some small cuts there but she was a bit more self-conscious right now.

“You didn’t need to rip your shirt for me I feel bad,” it probably sounded a bit weird. “Are you okay though? Gluttony was beating on you really bad… I can look at your back when you’re done… If you want,” her voice was really meek again compared to the yelling she had been doing at Gluttony over him.

Lewis looked around the bathroom, making sure that it was clear of anyone but them. Gluttony was dead, but he was still on the lookout for guards just in case. The paranoid habits never would die out, and for that he was at least somewhat thankful. He looked to the guide Simone once more. He had missed the cuts. None of them were life threatening, but they probably needed some tending to.

“Strip and clean yourself up. I’ll be right back.” He walked out of the bathroom. It wasn’t long before he returned with a small box full of various things; some kind of strong ale, some cotton balls, and a variety of makeshift strips of cloth. He had already stipped off his shirt, which explained where the cloth strips came from.

Once you’ve rinsed, come over here and I’ll bandage you up.” It wouldn’t take too long.

She nodded but even though she was scared to pieces there were no tears. It was almost unnatural but Simone had mentioned that she didn’t cry, she couldn’t. That was something even the younger Simone wasn’t capable of and it unnerved a lot of people. She took his hand to get up and she was shaking and she had tripped her own self up. Lewis caught her and she wasn’t expecting it. She put her face into his chest heaving heavy breaths.

This wasn’t like with Greed and Envy where she had been safe. There had been a direct attack on her. They still had three sins to go and now they were targeting her. How was she supposed to keep Lewis safe too if she was in danger too? They were both too important to lose which pushed her to choke down the fear.

When he finally let her go she hugged herself and nodded, “Hopefully… I found a washroom we can bathe in… I sorta make a wreck out of the castle looking for you.” She took his hand once she was able to move and pulled him in the direction to the exit. She pulled him through the mirror and avoided the glass.

“I guess I’m not completely okay… I got some bad cuts from the mirror.” There was blood all over the edges from her using herself to break it. “I just panicked… I had to get you out.” Her eyes were sad when she looked at him. “The bath is across the hall.”

The entire bedroom looked ransacked and the bathroom wasn’t much better but it was usable. The doors were busted off the hinges and the chair she had used was snapped in two from the force.

It all happened quickly. The moment that the guide motioned with her eyes which way she was to move, Lewis knew what was coming next. Within seconds, the guide tripped up Gluttony, and with a single slice, the act was done. Lewis rolled over onto his back, arching it in pain. The blows from Gluttony had not been light, and it hurt to even breath at this point.

It was the guide’s call that roused him, and he was on his feet quickly, pushing Gluttony off of the tinier Simone. He held out his hand to her. “You okay?” Did he mean that? Wasn’t she just a key?

“You’re not hurt are you?” He checked her over as she took his hand, and he pulled her up. The guide stumbled for a moment, to which Lewis caught her in his arms. She was trembling. Was it fear? Or adrenaline? Perhaps both. “You’re…okay.” He wasn’t sure what to say, or what to do. Comforting was not his forte. It was the farthest thing from.

“We should…probably clean up,” he said finally as he looked her over again. He took the dagger back, and sheathed it. “Maybe this castle has some better clothes for you as well. It wouldn’t hurt to check.”

Author: Simone, Posted: Sat Sep 12, 2020 7:30 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Thank the gods he woke up as she sighed with a bit of relief. She couldn’t kill Gluttony with the poker but damn had she done some damage. Gluttony’s face had blunt force trauma to it and boy was it ugly. Lewis was quick to shield the guide as she hid in his arms. She had the element of surprise the first time and she had been angry but now she was scared again.

“I…” She looked up at his eyes. He was encouraging her. “Alright.” There was a bit of hesitation but she took the dagger and holding it rather tightly she swallowed hard. She would only probably have one shot at this but she wasn’t angry anymore. Where had all her bravado gone?

“GIVE ME HER NOW,” Gluttony screamed as she beat on Lewis some more.

The guide took a moment and she wiggled against Lewis, her eyes were glued to him. The moment she decided to move was when Gluttony was coming down for another attack. She rolled out from under Lewis when she gave him the direction she was going to go. Quick on her feet she tripped Gluttony up who wasn’t expecting it.

It got even better when the little guide sliced the dagger across Gluttony’s neck when the sin went to dive for her. Not being able to move out of the way there was an oof as the dagger went flying. The bleeding dying sin was on top of the guide still ready to fight but also dying.

“Lewis!” The guide called out as she was stuck under the much heavier Simone.

“My dearest-” Lewis said as she picked out a particularly large stone. “That would look-” Terrible. “Amazing on you…” He smiled, taking the beautiful piece out, and eying it. “Turn around…I’d like to put it on you.” He watched her turn, and paused.

I could end it right here. But that was an odd thought, wasn’t it? Why would he want to end it?

“And there we go,” he said as he snapped the necklace into place. “Perfect, just like…” The world shook. What? Simone turned around, and she smiled at him. That damned innocent smile.

But it’s wrong. It’s cracked/

“Are you okay?” Lewis asked, his smile strained. “Something seems wrong.” The world shook again. I don’t get it..

“Eve…g is jus…….fine!” Simone said, her voice fading in and out. But it wasn’t. The world around them was wrong. It was all so very wrong.

“Simone, where…where is my dagger?”

“Dagger? Honey, you don……eed a wea….” The world shook again, and suddenly, everything shattered. He started to fall alongside Simone, and his hand shot out to try and reach for her.

“Simone!” he called out. But that’s not her. “I’ll save you!” And this isn’t me. Lewis’ hand reached out, but there was no one to grab. He was falling. It was all a dream, but it was a pleasant one. A happy one.

Snap out of it. Lewis could feel her. The guide. She was calling him from so very far away. And then suddenly…

I taste apples.

Lewis awoke to find the guide kissing him, and his eyes were wide with surprise. Immediately, he rolled over, taking Simone with him as Gluttony recovered, her anger rising as she hammered away at Lewis’ back, trying to get at the guide. The assassin stared down at the guide Simone. “My dagger. Take it…I’ll protect you, I promise.”

The guide was crashing through rooms. The castle was well furnished. Gluttony got what she wanted most of the time but obviously objects didn’t appease her. Simone stopped her panicked run to stop by the fireplace. There was a fireplace poker, her hands twitched nervously before she took hold of it. “Fine. If it’s a repeat showing then you have the best seat,” her eyes were a little dark but so far she kept the anger to a minimum. It took a second to realize she could adjust herself and find the appropriate level of the emotion she could feel before losing it. This would do just fine.

It took her a long while to make her way up the stairs but when she finally got to the last few rooms she hadn’t checked it had occurred to her that the spatial magic being used was… physical in a way. This, however, allowed Gluttony to have more time with Lewis in their fake happy existence.

The Guide made it to Gluttony’s bedroom where she found the mirror where Gluttony was choosing to hide. She could see it all happen and it infuriated her that this was what Gluttony was choosing to use Lewis for. He could save them but the guide knew that if Simone was saved that all of them would cease to exist as they were. The selfish pricks.

Her eyes narrowed before slipping the poker through the petal skirt making a hole to hold it. Taking one of the big fancy gold chairs she heaved with all of her strength, once – twice- thrice before the mirror cracked.

Gluttony snapped her eyes to where the cracks were starting to appear, “That little bitch…”

Through the crack came the guide with glass cutting her and almost shredding her outfit but it didn’t matter. What did matter was her quick reflexes and she was much quicker than Gluttony. “I fucking told you to GIVE HIM BACK,” she screamed as she wailed the poker across Gluttony’s head almost sending her flying. “That’s for calling me weak!”

Gluttony laid on the floor moaning and groaning while the guide ran over to Lewis. She held his face, “Snap out of it. This isn’t real. Remember that we have to leave this place – YOU need to be able to get out of this place,” she pulled him down for a hard kiss as if trying to break the spell Gluttony had him over.

The sun was shining, and the halls of the tavern were filled with children laughing and playing. For once, Bat was okay with them being out and about while he was serving his customers. Still, Xeik looked to the orc who had taken them all in, and smiled. “I know, I know…I’ll let them know to keep it down.”

The dark haired boy ran up the stairs and to the rafters, following the rest of his guild mates to try and settle them. It was a hard task, but someone had to do it.

Lewis watched from above, in his little hiding spot among the support beams of the main room. There were a lot of potential enemies that could come in, and he knew to keep watch. Not that he needed to kill anyone…not anymore. He had even thrown away his weapons.

Still, old habits die hard.

“Lewis!” a voice called out from below. There she was, smiling below him, waiving.

“Simone!” he said with a charming smile as his slid off the beams, landing with ease. “I was wondering when you would show up.” He held out his hand. “Are you ready for the date I promised?”

The woman blushed, taking his hand. “Oh yes…my hero,” she said almost sarcastically. “What did you finally decide on doing?”

Lewis let out a chuckle, “Now, now…I can’t tell you. It’s a secret/” He winked, and led her out into the streets of Hoja.

It was a beautiful day, nary a cloud in the sky. The streets were crowded with people, but against all odds, Lewis was able to freely navigate around as if there weren’t a soul in the streets. It was perfect. “Almost there!” he said as they entered a building.

“Annnd…here we are!” he said with a wide smile.

My face hurts.

Simone gasped. The room was filled with glass panels, each holding a variety of elegant gems and stones. Rings, necklaces, and many others lined the shop walls, all waiting to be tested and tried on. “But…Lewis, I don’t understand?”

Lewis took her hand, and kissed it. “My darling Simone…” He swung his arm out. “I want you to pick anything in this store! Anything that your heart desires.” The ex-assassin looked at her, his hazel eyes seeming to dance, filled with light. “Anything that you want…”

“And if I asked for it all?”

“Then…” He winked. “I would get it all for you…that and more.”

“But what if…I wanted all of you?” she asked, almost sheepishly.

“I would give it all,” Lewis replied with an elegant bow.

“Oh..you’re so cute,” Simone replied blushing. “I could just eat you…”

Simone watched him walk with something new, she couldn’t pinpoint what it was but she was glad that she had managed to soothe him a bit. If she even did soothe him at all, she was choosing to believe she had.

The guide stood close enough behind him to remain safe should anything try and get her. If she died it would all be for nothing anyways but she had a promise to keep… and that meant going into the depths of hell with Lewis. Come hell or high water he was leaving this place intact, that was her promise.

She went to reply to him when Lewis suddenly vanished. The color vanished from her face as she collapsed on the floor. “No, no, no, no–” she kept repeating it as she felt the floor where Lewis had been stepping.

“GIVE HIM BACK. GLUTTONY!” She screamed out as she got filled to the brim with panic. She was fighting the anger back but it was only causing her mass confusion. The vibration of the castle was the first thing that gave way.

“Shhh… He’s sleeping,” Gluttony hummed from afar. “I’ll be keeping him.”

“When I find you–”

“You’ll do what? Hug me to death? Sing me songs to death? You are the weakest of us. There is nothing you are capable of. Now leave here… I need to entertain.”

The guide jumped up and started to search around the castle as she slammed open doors rocking the foundation. “I’ll fucking kill you myself when I find you,” it left a whisper from her lips. Still, she choked down the anger, she could not taint herself.

For the remainder of the walk to the castle, Lewis was silent. It wasn’t that he was per say touched by their conversation, or even emotional over it. But there was something akin to…courage? Confidence? What was that feeling? Pride?

Lewis scoffed. The absurdity of this realm was getting to him. It was nothing more than the world affecting his mental state. It would be gone the moment he left. At least, he hoped it would be gone. But now was not the time for these thoughts. The castle was near, and now was the time for action.

They stopped at the castle gates, which lay open and inviting. The drawbridge was down, and there were no guards in sight. Everything screamed that it was a trap. Lewis drew the bone dagger, reverse gripping it as he took the first step into the realm.

“This….this is too eas-” Before he could finish, he simply vanished into thin air. The silence hung in the air, as if waiting for the last syllable to be spoken, but it never came.

Lewis was gone.

Simone turned on her heel when he stopped her to speak to her. His mind was heavy and she could tell from the looming silence. Her eyes got soft and sad for a moment. “I’ll do my very best Lewis. I’m not very strong but I will try for you or die trying, I promise you that.”

This was the most that Simone could promise him as she cupped his face, “But I don’t think it will come to that. I think you are far stronger than you like to give yourself credit for. You will not falter and you will make it through this. I should make you promise me that you will not give in. I will be there to pull you back just like last time, this is something I also promise.”

She hugged him to her and snuggled her head into his chest, “You are our only hope, Lewis. Everything we’ve done is for this moment and the moment leading to our freedom. You can’t fail here. You can’t leave us like this.” She peeked up at him innocently. “I’m going to be sad when I leav– when you leave here but at least you’ll have the other Simone.”

Taking his hand she pulled him gently towards the castle, “I won’t let you falter I promise.”

Lewis listened intently to her answers, and even stayed quiet after he took an apple from the guide. Despite them nearing the threshold of Gluttony, he was feeling surprisingly calm. He bit into the apple, and paused, curiously. The apple tasted like Simone. Curiously, he bit into it again, thinking it was nothing more than a trick of his imagination, but no…it indeed tasted of her.

He thought to ask the guide Simone, but pushed the thought away. Perhaps it was better to not know what she tasted. Instead, he looked at the warped trees, wondering just how this twisted mental landscape functioned. The thought of what his own might be brought a twinge of…fear? Was that the emotion? It was curious. He had never been one to feel such intense emotions, but…

“I’m being affected here,” he surmised. Each of the Sins is affecting me… He looked down at the half eaten apple. How much more would his mind and soul warp? Would there be any aftereffects? The thought worried him.

They continued along the path, with Lewis mostly deep in thought. Finally, he stopped. There was a grand castle off in the distance, and he could almost feel the presence of another Sin waiting for them within.

“Simone,” he said finally, looking to the guide. “What happens…if I lose myself?” Lady Angela had said that if he dies here, he dies in real life, but she made no mention of what happened if he succumbed here. “I want you to promise me…” Lewis paused. “I want you to promise me that you will kill me if I lose my sense of self here.”

It was a lot to ask. The reality was, though, that…he had no idea what kind of effects it would have on his true body. Could any of the Sins take his mind? Steal his body? The possibilities were endless, and suddenly the stakes seemed higher.

“You must promise me.”

The thank-you made the guide smile at him. It was so unusual to hear it but she took it. “You’re welcome,” she was like sunshine now. She kept close to him when he instructed it and kept a lookout for anything uneasy.

“If I had to guess… It’s trees that grew from corpses. They make good fertilizer. About a thousand years' worth of corpses is here… Each tree showing a passage of time. Even life finds a way in this place even if it is disturbing.”

She spotted some apples, “We should have breakfast.” She began to climb up the tree and she pulled up on her skirt to use it as a basket. She was quick to collect the apples and slide down the trunk. “Here. They might not taste like the real thing though but its better than nothing. You need your strength.” Especially after last night.

She bit into an apple. “I am aware that Simone was burned at a stake a few times for being a witch. It went on nightly for a while. A week I think. Back then though magic was seen as a bad thing and it didn’t matter that it was a curse put on her. Edwin saved her and that was his heart the two were fighting over. He stayed with Simone up until he died from Greed stealing his heart. She had died at least five times while he had her. He was getting older and he couldn’t keep up with Simone anymore. I guess it triggered her grief over losing him… and she wanted to lose him on her own terms. Not that I think she had complete control over it. The trees could be about that.”

Nothing of importance happened while the guide Simone slept, and he was almost thankful when it was her turn to keep watch. He walked over the the rubble, and leaned his back against it, closing his eyes for his turn. Sleep came quickly, and with it, nightmares.

It wasn’t unlike Lewis to have unpleasant dreams. The brutal beatings from coming back short handed, the time that he nearly lost Xeik and Danwe to a black guild, the time that Akira was almost killed…his entire life was filled with death and trauma. This, however, was something more.

Chains were wrapped around his arms. He cried out but couldn’t speak. His strength was gone, and there was nothing he could do about. He longed for freedom, for a breath of fresh air. He wanted it. Needed it. Coveted it. But it wouldn’t come. Instead, he could feel her presence all around him. Her gentle touches, the caresses that longed for more. The touches got more seductive, and he could almost feel the longing desire from them.

Lust.

He struggled but couldn’t escape. They wanted more of him, and there was nothing he could do to fight against it.

Lewis’ eyes opened the moment the guide touched him. He sat up, and stretched, yawning. He didn’t feel much better, but some sleep was better than nothing. He noticed the shirt, and in an uncharacteristic way gave a quick, mumbled thank you before putting it on.

“Let’s get a move on then,” Lewis said as he made for the path. “Just stay close.”

The winding path was a strange one. If this were the real world, Lewis would have equated it to some quaint forest stroll that one would take as a casual hike. But the trees were off somehow. It took him a moment to understand why, but as he noticed, he grimaced. Each of the trees was warped into a face. Some of them were recognizable as Simone, others seemed too distorted to tell, but if Lewis had to hazard a guess, he would say they were of Simone as well.

“What’s the story on them?” Lewis asked, not expecting an answer. His guide wasn’t exactly up to date on Simone lore.

Simone could tell that he was tired now and that was good. Though she was worried about him staying up to keep watch she knew that it was unavoidable. She nodded to confirm the plan and she used her ripped petals to reform into another cover for herself. She managed to make a blanket out of leaves and she laid down close to Lewis. “Okay. I’ll keep watch after you~”

She kept her promise and they swapped out so he could get some sleep. She was sitting near him and watching the weather. Once it came time to wake him up she gently shook him. “It’s time to start moving.” Her voice was low but careful as not to startle him. She had managed to make him a shirt in that time frame and had it laying folded up near him.

“Gluttony lives within a castle south as I said. She’s always been there and while she is not strong… Her realm tends to bother Lust and Wrath. We should proceed with caution.” She pointed to a path. "We can follow this and it shouldn't be a problem. We just have to watch out for Wrath's minions."

The clarity was there, and finally he could think straight. But he was exhausted, and rolled over with Simone, his sweaty body laying pressed against hers. He felt her check herself for her sanity, but he didn’t really feel like moving. For the first time since he entered this mad world, he felt good. Tired, but good. He closed his eyes for a moment, listening to the silence mixed with Simone’s breathing.

After awhile, he felt her get up and go gather sticks, but for the time being Lewis just lay there, relishing in the afterglow. Perhaps it was the power of the sins, but was feeling emotions that he never thought he was capable of. And while he hated it for the most part, there were a few that he could grow addicted to.

It was dangerous.

He sat up as the fire started to get going, and yawned. “I feel…fine,” he said. It was true. He was definitely functioning like normal now. “So we get some rest, and then head South.” Lewis liked having a plan. It gave him a sense of what to do next, and how to act.

“Get some rest. I’ll keep watch,” Lewis said as he took the dagger from her finally. “We can trade off later. I’ll be fine…”

She let her screams out as he yanked on her hair. In any other circumstance, it might have been overly painful for the person but for Simone, it was like a drug. She didn’t understand it but she wanted Lewis to hurt her and she liked it. She liked it a lot.

Simone felt the release of her orgasm as she was filled to the brim by Lewis. She was breathing roughly and once she was lowered she rolled over to grab at her hair and breasts. She was trying to make sure she was still in control. In theory, she should have been tainted but… why wasn’t she?

Her legs had a visible shake to them as she couldn’t even get a hold of herself long enough to stand. It was her first time and she was definitely hooked on Lewis. “I think… I think camp should be right here… For right now…” She barely got it out. “I just need a moment.”

It was several minutes before the little guide had managed to get up and get some sticks for a fire. She sat next to Lewis holding the dagger. Offering it up to him she smiled. “Do you feel better like you hoped?” Gods knew she did and she wasn’t the one who had been affected by it all.

After taking a few more labored breaths, "More south of here is Gluttony… and to the west of her is Pride. Finally, we will have to showdown Lust… Wrath will come out of hiding once we've finished those three."

It was something that would have never crossed Lewis’ mind under any normal circumstances, but seeing Simone’s arched back as she pushed back against his every thrust was invigorating in no way that Lewis could ever begin to describe. He pushed harder and faster against her, freeing one of his hands to grab at her long hair, wrapping it around his fist as he yanked it back, forcing a deeper arch, forcing her back even harder with every thrust.

He was close. He could feel it building, just like last time. Lewis gasped, pulling hard and pushing deep, feeling the swelling hit its peak, filling her as he came.

And there it was. That afterglow of pleasure and pain, mixed with the clarity that he desperately so desired…

She would have started fussing at him as soon as he had slowed down but he seemed just as disappointed as she was. She moved with a bit of pain but she did as he told her to. Even this was a bit too much for her as she felt the soft grace now against her cuts and scraps. She understood why he stopped but a part of her was still sore about it.

Eagerly she pulled him down to her and kissed him hard. He leveraged her hips and let his tip tease to her lips. Her eyes gave him a stubborn look as she thrust her hips up to him forcing him back inside her. She arched herself as a moan left her lips. Firmly his hands grabbed at her hips as he started to trust back.

Finally, Lewis flipped her over and positioned her just right. He spread her legs and rubbed her clit roughly to get a moan out of her. Taking her by the hips he slammed his cock right back into her. Her cries filled the air as she felt his whole length.

He slapped her ass multiple times and he could feel Simone tightening around his shaft from the excitement. Each time he hit her she let her moans grow louder. She was so close.

The look in her eyes, her quivering lips, the moans that escaped her lips. It was all more than Lewis had bargained for. Her desire for more was clear the moment he entered her, well before she ever let the words escape past her lips. Simone’s nails digging into his skin only made the pleasure more prevalent, the pain clashing with the chemicals in his brain.

He forced another kiss, pressing his tongue against her lips, prying them open. He wanted to taste more of her, to feel more of what she had to offer him. Her small movements of rocking back and forth weren’t enough, so he added his own erratic, compulsory thrusts to the mix, roughly moving her against the rubble.

Simone felt the sharp rocks scratch against her back, and whimpered in pain mixed with the waves of pleasure, unsure of how it all seemed to mix together in this messy experience. She could feel blood trickling down her back, and as she broke free from the kiss, let out a ragged cry, gasping as his cock hit deep inside of her. She dug her nails deeper into his shoulders, breaking the skin. It was all overwhelming, too much to take in all at once.

Lewis’ thrusts slowed. The angle was amazing, but a part of him knew that if he kept going, Simone might get an injury that she couldn’t recover from. No…he was clear minded enough to know better. He pulled back, panting, his cock standing on in, shimmering with the guide’s fluids.

“Down. Legs spread…”

Simone felt a deep desire when Lewis moved away, and she almost begged him not to stop, but he made no indication that he was finished. Instead, he gave her instructions. It didn’t matter, not at this point. She needed the rest of this, and would do just about anything to finish.

He was rough against her where she was carefully following along. Unlike her counterparts, she didn’t know how to tease him or how to really even flirt. She was going out on the ledge with this one. She could taste Greed’s blood intermingling with their kisses.

Little pants left her lips as he kissed and nipped at her neck. A light moan escaped towards the end and she tried to hold it. Her face flushed a bit more when he ripped it off. The whimpers left her mouth as he teased her. The more he teased her the more her fingers gripped at his back.

Finally, once he had seemingly broke she let out an uncontrolled moan. She felt him fully enter her and it hurt but she bit back the pain if only for a few moments before she realized she liked it. She stifled the whimpers more but her hips began to rock against him. Her nails gripped harder into his back as she forced herself up to kiss him.

“More,” the guide whispered to him.

Lewis’ breath hitched as he offered herself to him. There it was. The chance to release that tension. It had worked once before, with Lust, where his mind cleared for just a moment. It was all he needed was one moment of clarity to regain his sanity. He barely noticed that she left with the dagger, but had no qualms with it. After all, she was right. He needed her alive.

Lewis stepped forward, taking his pants off. It briefly occurred to him that he never got his shirt back, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t cold. In fact, it was warm, and growing warmer as he moved towards the guide Simone. She was smaller than he was, blushing and waiting. He pressed his lips against hers, almost forcefully. The taste of her mixed with the blood once again assaulted his senses.

Focus. But he didn’t want to. He licked the edge of her lips, trailing kisses down her neck, gently biting at her neck. Focus. He couldn’t. He tore the frail flower that kept her modesty, tossing it aside as he pushed her against the rubble of the cave. Focus. He lifted her by her waist. She was surprisingly light. His throbbing cock pressed against her, sliding against her pussy.

She was wet, breathing heavy. A part of her was terrified, but that same part of her wanted it almost as much as he did. Lewis could hear her whimper as he unintentionally teased her, his clock slipping against her as he tried to keep himself under some semblance of control. Finally, though, he broke, pulling her down on the full length, balancing her with his strength against the cave in.

Simone could feel everything and she was blushing a bit. She had never really felt a man before not like the others. Compared to the others she was innocent and had probably had her life snuffed out early. It felt weird and warm but alright she thought.

She got up in a scramble and took his dagger from him. “You can use me… I think…” she was blushing. “I don’t know anything though. I never got that far in life but you can’t stab me… Maybe choke but don’t let me pass out.” She left for a moment to hide the dagger before coming back and holding her hand out to him.

“If you use me it should get it out of your system, right? However, you want. Whatever you want. Just don't kill me or make me pass out.”

Lewis felt the pull of the cave, but the guiding Simone was pulling him towards the exit. Still, the power of Greed was strong and it compelled Lewis to stay, almost attempting to drag him back, but the guide’s pull was just strong enough to pull them both out. Lewis rolled with her, and ended up on top of her. Simone probably could feel his length pressed against her.

“I feel…okay,” Lewis stated. He stayed on top of her for a moment, but rolled off once he realized the problem. “I could use a rest, I guess. That was…more than I was expecting.” He was still flushed from the whole ordeal. Even if she hadn’t felt his cock, it was obvious that something was off. His focus was erratic, and while Greed may not have held any more sway over his mind, he was still a human with annoying hormones that clouded even the best of judgements.

It’ll go away if I just leave it be… He thought. Though, he remembered the look that the guide Simone gave him as the dagger pressed against her throat. The helplessness that she had, the longing look in her eyes for release.

“Fuck,” he muttered. It was stuck in his head on replay. He glanced over to Simone, a hungry look in his eyes. “How do I rid myself of these desires. Any ideas? Because if you don’t have any, I’m not sure I can stop myself from slitting your throat…”

Author: Simone, Posted: Tue Sep 8, 2020 2:40 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

The guide was spooked to say the least but she followed him down whatever demented rabbit hole he was going. “I know you can,” she reassured him as he told her. She scrambled to her feet once he let her free. “I’m fine. You didn’t hurt me much.” She could feel the light cut to her throat but still, it was okay.

She took his hand and put the dagger in his sheath looking at him. Her eyes were terrified but still, she pulled him to follow her. “Come on,” she pulled him out of the tunnel. It was almost pulling her back in so when she gave them once final tug she flung them out.

The front of the cave collapsed and Simone stared up at Lewis was on top of her now. “Do you feel better? I tried to get us out as soon as possible. Maybe now would be a good time for a break… Pride and Gluttony are next.”

She didn't seem to mind that he was on her or between her legs. She was more scared that the greed was still in effect. He could have killed her and set her free but Simone would have been stuck and so would he.

Lewis pulled the guide Simone down, kissing her roughly, tasting the blood that had splattered across her lips during the whole exchange. Then, he rolled over, forcing the small guide onto her back. Lewis placed the dagger against her throat, panting as though he had run a mile.

It was obvious he was getting off on this.

“I can set you free…” He had never felt so aroused in his life. The thrill of ending it all here. Kill. He pressed the dagger harder against her. Do it. He would be trapped here forever. Was he okay with that? But the pleasure. He wanted it. Would anything else even come closer to satisfying him? The blood. He leaned down, licking a drop of blood from the guide Simone’s face. The taste was intoxicating.

“I need it…I want it…” He smiled. He released the pressure from the poor girl’s neck. “But I can’t take it…not yet…not now…” Lewis fell back, still panting. It was obvious that he was still highly aroused, but he was doing his best pushing the desires down.

“This is greed…” He had never felt such a thing. Not in his entire lifetime. “No…I can wait. Are…are you okay to move?” He wasn’t sure if he was asking because he cared, or if it was because he needed her to keep moving forward. Everything in his mind was a jumbled mess, including the repressed emotions that he barely could control and understand.

“”We need…we need to get out of here…”

Envy was in a panic over knowing what was to happen but he had weakened her and the kiss. The kiss was everything to her that she had wanted. She let out a breath as he pushed the dagger in. “Yes,” Envy answered now that she had everything she wanted.

The guide took his hand and she was shaking slightly from the kill. “What I want?” She took his hand and kissed him deeply. “I just want to be set free by you.” It came out in a whisper as she hugged bloody self to him. “Whatever comes during I’ll embrace and bare it. So long as I’m free in the end.” Her words were barely a whisper but her eyes were a tad sad as she looked into his madness.

The little guide waited to see how he would take what she had to offer. Though she wasn't sure what she was offering to be exact.

Lewis’ wicked smile grew as he tightened his grip on Ency, the blood splattering across his face. “Please now,” he said as he leaned over the Sin. “You’ll be next…I promise…” The assassin leaned down farther, kissing Envy, biting her lip before pulling back.

“See now?” he said as he took the dagger from the guide. “Wasn’t that worth it, in the end?” He pushed the knife against Envy’s chest. “It’s all so bittersweet in the end, isn’t it? This desire…was it worth it?” He shoved the knife deep into her chest, all the way to the hilt.

“Sleep now,” Lewis said. He looked up to the guide, the madness still in his eyes. “And what of you, little one?” He reached out with a blood soaked hand. “What do you desire…is it the useless flesh that they do? Or is it more…?”

The guide was horrified by the lengths of which the Simones were willing to go for Lewis’s attention. Still, she sat quietly waiting for something anything. That was when she witnessed Lewis choking them. They were willingly going with it as moans left their mouths. “Choke me harder please,” Envy cried.

“No, choke me harder first. I want the pleasure first!” It had a red blush going across the guide’s face as Greed was yelling.

That was when the guide came from her hiding place and she took the knife out of the heart. Her feet were quick and one would have thought she would have handed the knife to Lewis but instead she started to start Greed over and over again with her blood going everywhere. Greed was the stronger of the two and she knew that. She didn’t care as the blood went all over Lewis and herself.

“GREED!” Envy cried out.

Lewis cackled like a mad man, reveling in the fact that the two were fighting among themselves for something so useless as flesh. He was barely fazed as each of the Simones tried to one up each other. Greed revealed her chest to Lewis, whilst Envy tried to have Lewis grope her.

“Now, now, ladies,” Lewis said with his eyes wide. “It seems like you don’t think there’s enough of me to go around…” He placed both of his hands around both Greed and Envy’s necks, tightening his grip. “I have more than enough experience to satisfy both of you…” He pushed them both down hard, pinning each of them to the ground, choking harder and harder.

“Tell me..is this not what you desire? Do you not wish for this pleasurable end!?” Perhaps there had been a negative effect from his encounter with Lust after all. Or maybe, Lewis was twisted from the start.

The guide hid and she was watching as he moved. When the heart was stabbed and it stopped beating the women immediately started to get mad. “HOW COULD YOU! HE LOVED US!” They hissed at him softly but when presented himself they were skeptical.

Greed was the first one as she shoved Envy down. “He’s ALL MINE YOU CAN’T HAVE HIM!” Greed ran but Envy grabbed her by the ankle letting Greed hit her face hard on the ground.

“We can really have you?” Envy was quick as she was around him and nuzzling him softly. Greed huffed as her face healed and soon she was trying to pull Envy off.

“He wants me. NOT YOU!”

“No. No. He wants me! He would never want you! I WON’T STAND FOR IT!” They were hanging onto him now with Envy rubbing her head against his neck watching Greed who was getting more pissed by the second.

“GO ON TELL HER SHE IS WRONG! I am the superior Simone!” Green pulled at her dress to reveal her bust to Lewis. Envy was blushing but she took Lewis's hands and made him grope her back. "CHEATER!"

"You started the cheating! EXPOSING YOURSELF LIKE A WHORE!"

The screams of a baby were what woke Lewis up from his deeper thoughts. It was time to focus once more. The guide took a step back, the cries of the baby making her uncomfortable. Good. She didn’t need to be involved in this.

Lewis looked upon Greed and Envy fighting over the still beating heart of one of their previous lovers. The assassin cared not for their desires, and took a step forward. Neither seemed to react, to which Lewis smiled at. The cruelty was back. Perhaps it was a side effect of repressing emotions, or perhaps this was his truest self in the fact of it all. But he knew how to get their attention, and how to take their lives.

“I know what you covet…what you seek,” Lewis said with a happy, almost maniacal tone. “And it’s not-” Lewis unsheathed the dagger, and with a flick of the wrist, tossed it straight into the heart, impaling it into the ground. “That.” He took another step forward, this time demanding all of the attention.

“Come now…I’m much more desirable.”

Author: Simone, Posted: Tue Sep 8, 2020 12:56 PM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

She looked up at Lewis. “When we become one we are emotionless almost. We are all fighting to be at the surface. Having no emotions isn’t just locking it out. It’s keeping it under control. Envy and Greed fighting among themselves because they want two things we’re never allowed to have for long. It was so bad that one of them took control of Simone and ripped out the heart of our lover. Envy and Greed are most focused on each other because of the mutual need that they have. They fight over his heart. The babies, the weddings, and whatever else is brought. Love was the first thing they killed in us. Love just wanted a peaceful resolution. Maybe we all could get what we wanted just like we had for centuries… but the more times we died the more the negative outpaced the positive emotions.”

The cavern began to shift into gold, gems, and other things from the floor to the ceiling. “Greed and envy cancel each other out and are mostly focused on each other. Should one of the two come down here two fight them they would lose because there are two of them. Lust and Wrath don’t get along enough to fight together to defeat them… but Envy and Greed are along the same vein. They both covet. Both are needed for a healthy mindscape so being put together they are fine and they can survive anything. Simone knew this.”

There were baby screams and the guide stopped as she backed up a bit. “As for why I don’t like it down here… The memories are bad.” She peeked around a pile of gold to see two Simone choking each other trying to get a beating heart. “They are still fighting over it,” the guide whispered up to Lewis.

For the most part, Lewis stayed silent as he followed the guide to the caves. He was in his own mind, thinking about the different techniques that may be required to kill the rest of the Seven Deadly Simones. The first one was easy enough, but it had almost cost him his life. He would have to be better prepared for the next set. And this wasn’t even taking into consideration that Wrath and Lust were more powerful than the rest. Even just now, the tiniest bit of anger from the Guide Simone was enough to almost completely corrupt her.

This was going to be harder than Lewis had initially envisioned. If he lost the guide, he lost his key out. Was she as fragile as she let on? Or could she hold her own in a fight? No, it was better not to risk it at all. She would need to stay clear of any altercations.

“I don’t need rest,” Lewis stated as they reached the caves. The guide seemed hesitant, though, almost afraid to move forward. Fear. That was an emotion that Lewis had once. It was something that he hated feeling, and thus had trained himself to lock it out. It was a nuisance, but it was also a warning. Whatever was down there, the guide was scared of it.

Lewis grabbed a torch from the opposite side, and started to follow her down into the depths of the caves.

“What do you mean they were put here for their own protection?” Lewis needed as much information as possible.

She held out her hand to him once she was done panicking. “Emotions are like a rock. They drag you down until you are shackled to yourself.” It was almost as if she had sensed the change in him as she took his hand and led him away. “Sometimes they are nice and sometimes they do things like this world… An emotion born from loss remembers way more than an emotion born from happiness.”

She brought them to a cave and looked up at Lewis. “Should we rest before we go in? The last one was bad… and Wrath appears to have her attention elsewhere. Lust might be trying to kick down her door again. Down in these caves are Envy and Greed. They both harbor perhaps the worst of what has happened to us. However, because they covet they don’t gain power and they just prefer to be left alone.”

Simone was shaking softly. “I don’t like it down there. I remember when they were put there for their own protection. I don’t like what they did to it. I know what’s down there.” Still, though she took a torch from the wall and she opened the heavy door to the caves. “Come on.” She was brave, at least there was that much.

Lewis turned just in time to see the guide Simone lose herself, if only for a moment. He had never seen anyone move so fast, and was taken off guard when she launched herself at him, picking him up by his throat. He had underestimated the mental landscape a second time. This was her world, and she held complete control over it.

“Fine,” he said simply as she returned to her true self, frantically stating that they need to leave. There was little emotion behind his voice, as he had reverted back to the simplest form of functioning. Sever the link. He didn’t want emotions. They always got in the way, and were always useless.

Yes, even her.

He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind as he sheathed the bone dagger. “Just lead the way,” he stated with a dead look in his eyes. “Let’s get this over with.”

Her eyes got a little darker as he shoved her to the side. She hit the ground and she didn’t move for many minutes as he began to yell at her. She was more lifeless on the ground than anything. Any other girl would have cried and wouldn’t have understood the anger.

Instead he was meant with something else as the ground began to tremble and she slowly picked herself up. There were times when the world was tearing around her and she was covered head to toe in blood as she stalked her way to him. “What else? WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?!”

She heaved at him as she rushed him and for someone who had no training she was fast as she took him by the neck. The world spiked and her eyes were dead, not like they once were. “You want to know about trauma? WHILE CAUSING IT?! You worthless…” She shook her head and dropped him as everything stopped. She was holding herself as she began to vomit.

“No. No. No. We need to go. She’s close. WE NEED TO GO NOW,” she was normal again she grabbed Lewis and pulled him in a new direction. “I’m going to get tainted. We need to leave. Wrath sensed us. She’s trying to overpower me in my moment of anger.”

After taking him and running a good distance she let out a few good deep breaths. “I told you… I can be tainted. I have to get to the door to open it or you can’t ever leave this place Lewis.” She looked so tired now as she tried to pull herself together. "That was so very close. I understand you are angry but I didn't know it was there. I thought it was just the water. I haven't been awake for over three hundred years Lewis. This place didn't look like this when I was last here. I just know the direct routes to them. That's it."

Lewis blacked out as the water filled his lungs. When he came to, there was a worried face aver him, attempting to force oxygen into his lungs. He pushed her out of the way hard as he started to cough and choke up water from his lungs. He turned on his side, heaving as the icy liquid spilled onto the now empty lake bed. After a few moments of ragged, deep breaths, Lewis rolled onto his back again, and started to laugh.

“Be wary of the fucking water…” Was this what humans did when they almost died? He started to cough again, but after the fit managed to sit up. His clothes were, for whatever reason, dry, and the chill from the lake was practically non-existent.

“What other fucking trauma’s do you have!” he yelled at the guide. He stood up, angrily marching to Sloth, yanking out the dagger. For once in his life, he was starting to feel genuine anger. “Anything else I should know about? How about flying fucking harpy Simones? Maybe giant tunneling snake Simones?”

The mermaids let out an awful screech as he released the dagger. Even they had to realize what it was even though it was a bit too late. Sloth opened her eyes enough to look directly at Lewis. Where she could have avoided it she just smiled as the dagger impaled her. “Thank you,” her voice was more gentle than even his own Simone. She was trapped just as much as the rest of them. She could have a good sleep now.

The water began to shake and slosh as it exploded everywhere. Still, Lewis didn’t move from the hole as he found the hard ground of the lake. His guide was running down the side of the now-empty lake. The mermaids were flailing on the ground from the lack of water now. “Lewis!” She ran to his side and immediately began trying to get the water out of him. She pressed her lips to his to give him a few good breaths.

“Wake up!” Maybe coming here first had been a mistake on her part. How could she not have known there were mermaids here. She thought it was just a deep swim. How far had her selves fallen while she was gone?

Sloth laid not far from them with the dagger in her. Only when it was removed did she become ash.

Think quick.

There were mermaid versions of Simone closing on in him, and fast. There was no way he could move fast enough to outrun them. He cursed, gritting his teeth against the edge of the dagger.

The dagger can kill anything here. He looked down at the sleeping Sloth beneath him. She never moves. He could feel the mermaids circling faster. He could hear their calls, wishing for their mistress to stay in her deep slumber. Lewis was in a bind.

Water. He pulled the dagger from his teeth, gripping it tightly. He had the strength for one throw. One dagger. He had to hit his mark. Focus. Aim. He took a deep breath, and exhaled. The water immediately around Lewis quivered. Move. The water around him suddenly burst outward, creating a small pocket of air, leaving Lewis suspended. A “tunnel” formed from this bubble, straight to the heart of Sloth.

Aim true. He threw the dagger with all his might. Immediately the bubble around him collapsed. The magic he had used to keep himself breathing failed, the exhaustion taking its toll as the icy water filled his lungs.

The darkness that enveloped the lake water was perfect at the deeper depths. A song would come to Lewis’s ear and the water rippled from movement near him. There was something definitely growing closer to him. The cold water was perfect for keeping the prey slow and struggling.

“Lewisssss,” the voice called out only Sloth wasn’t moving still. Matter of fact she looked so peaceful as she snoozed away. Her snores were actually audible the closer he got to her.

“Lewis,” the voice was closer to him. “You should just let her keep sleeping,” the voice was growing closer. It looked like it was a mermaid version of Simone. There were three of them circling around like sharks coming in for the prey.

The little Simone was up on top watching. “LEWIS THE DAGGER!” She was about to panic. Was all their hard work for nothing? Water was incredibly hard to fight in. Had they chose the wrong one to start with? “KILL SLOTH AND THE LAKE WILL DISAPPEAR!” It was a race now.

Author: Dusk, Posted: Tue Sep 8, 2020 11:32 AM, Post Subject: Lewis in Simoneland [p/r]

Lewis stared down into the depths of the lake. It was just as he had seen when he first arrived here. A deep lake with Simone trapped at the bottom. The only difference seemed to be that this Sloth Simone lay permanently dead at the bottom. And obvious trap. He grimaced at the thought of having to swim down there. He had already dealt with three hundred years worth of death and rebirth via drowning. Or at least…what he had perceived three hundred years as. He wasn’t quite sure how long he had been in her mindscape.

“The whole damned thing is water,” he muttered at the guide Simone’s useless warning. Still, he took his shirt off, tossing it to the side, and then unsheathed his dagger, placing the crimson edge between his teeth. Without any other real preparation, he dived into the water, breaking the eerily pristine surface.

Immediately he was hit with icy cold water. This was already different from the lake that Simone had been trapped in. No, this was far worse. The icy water was already sapping at Lewis’ strength, but he had no choice but to continue down. He had already cast a spell to breath under water, which had luckily worked, but he wondered if Sloth would take that away once he reached her. It was something that he would rather not think about in the short term. He would deal with it when it came time.

The cold was dulling his movements, but for some reason or another, the dagger that he held between his teeth was radiating a slight warmth. It was better than nothing.

Halfway there. he thought to himself.

The Simone at his side took his hand and pulled him along once he made it. “No dilly-dallying. The creatures here were made out of the bodies of the good Simone. The flower I was in protected me from the corruption. It was made for me from her tears. She hasn’t cried since. She hasn’t been free since.”

She got them close to the lake and she stopped Lewis and looked up at him. He was a good bit taller than she was, even Lust was taller than she was now. Maybe it was because Lust was another age from Simone. “The dagger I gave you will be able to kill anything in here. Besides minor landscape changes, our clothes, and summoning the dagger SHE made for you. I can’t do anything else but open the door.”

She got them close to the water’s edge now and she looked down and pointed as the lifeless body of a Simone deep within the water. “Not all is as it seems. You’ll have to descend… but be careful and remember that she controls this space.”

The water rippled a bit on the defensive as the guide Simone got a bit too close. She stumbled back and fell on her butt. “I can’t go with you. She doesn't like me too much… Be wary of the water.”

The assassin followed Simone to the river, he hand on the dagger. The whole mindscape was something that lewis was growing accustomed to,a nd it seemed as though each and every Simone he encountered had an ounce of power to their name, able to alter the world as they saw it in various ways. For the guide Simone, it seemed as though she were able to alter herself mostly, as well as the path forward.

Take note. The world does not work the same as it does in the real world,]/i] he thought to himself as he hopped across the backs of the dead bodies floating in the river.

“The first is Sloth, then,” he stated aloud as a confirmation to himself. Seven deadly sins. Given by the fact that Lust was/// He shivered.
It means each of them may have a type of control over the respective sin. Which means Sloth… He gripped the hilt of the dagger as he landed on the other side of the river.

“Water?” he asked. Sloth. Unmoving. He clicked his tongue. Could it really be that easy? But then, he wondered what he was going to do when he got there. Could he kill the Seven Deadly Simones? Could he kill anything here? Or did he have to set them free somehow? He was never a great problem solver when it came to emotions.

“Just crash through it I guess,” he muttered to himself.

Simone was still fussing over her clothes. “A woman’s decency isn’t to be trifled with. I’m not Lust!” The many shades of Simone were vast it appeared. “My virtue is important if I tip in any of the scales I could become what is hunting us.” She had to stay happy and bouncy, for their safety.

Simone tilted her head and nodded. “I see. That was Lust, she must have taken them from you. She is smarter than Wrath.”

She was roaming around near the flower waiting for Lewis to be ready when he asked her. “The questions are one in the same. I’ve been waiting for a very long time. The Unseelie Queen spoke of a man who would free us and come deep into our soul to defeat the evil set in us by the fey lord. How long we would have to wait didn’t matter to us.” She looked at Lewis with an uncharacteristically serious face. “You’ll have to defeat the seven sins of Simone. Lust and Wrath are able to morph the landscapes here into what you see. The sins killed off any happiness as they saw that we were devoid of it. It broke us.”

She stretched a bit and began to walk in a set direction, “Come on, I’ll take you. Since you met Lust but her influence is still here… I would say you haven’t beaten her yet. We’ll have to find all seven Simones and put them out of their misery. Once we get to Wrath who should be last… She should have a door and I’m the key.”

She took him to a river and put her hands on the ground. A few magic sparks came as a few Simone floated to the surface. “Come on,” Simone was light as she jumped onto the backs of the Simone and skipped her way across. “Sloth is the easiest to find. She doesn’t move,” She pointed in the direction of bright blue. “It’s the only water in the entire realm.”

As the petals were removed, Lewis set eyes upon the sleeping form of yet another Simone. This one, though, felt different than the last. It was at his calls for her to awaken that she stirred at last, finally locking eyes with him. Her cries of excitement were followed by cries of embarrassment, to which Lewis had no response for. Perhaps if they were not in such a dire situation, it would have made a difference whether or not he were clothed, but as with his previous encounter with ‘Lust’.

“We have more important things to deal with than just clothes,” Lewis stated as a matter of fact. Still, as this was Simone’s mind, the world seemed to bend to her will and gift her with clothes made from the flower that she woke from. A useful skill, but he wondered just how much power she held in comparison to the other versions of herself. His guess would be much less than Wrath or Lust.

That brought about a series of questions he had for his new guide, but he didn’t really have the luxury of a full on conversation here. He would have to learn things on the fly. There was no telling how long this was going to take, but he would rather get a move on now.

The guiding Simone made mention of his lack of gear, to which he grimaced. “It’s not like I had much of a choice here. But I’m sure I can find something to use-” he was cut off as Simone plunged her hand into one of the corpses. Magic crackled as she pulled out a dagger from the corpse.

The dagger was expertly crafted, the handle and sheath made of bone, but smoothed down and easy to hold. The weight was in perfect balance, and he tested the swing strength of the blade. The beautiful red arcs it produced in the air brought an almost uncharacteristic smile to his face. He sheathed the weapon, and found that he was garbed in a basic set of clothes. Perhaps the power of Simone had gifted him common decency.

“Wait, wait…you were waiting for me?” Lewis asked, confused. “Just how long were you waiting?” He paused. Was that a necessary question? Probably not. They were wasting time. “Never mind. More importantly…where do we go from here. And just how powerful are Lust and Wrath? Are there more?”

As Lewis pulled down one of the black petals all he would smell is a sweet soft scent. The flower was vibrant on the inside, possibly a shade of every color. The smell was nice compared to the wasteland around them. The soft sound of someone sleeping finally got through the thickness of the petals to his ears. Inside was a Simone that was close to his age. She was nude and she was curled up with her head on a fluffy mushroom.

Her hair was pooled around her like dark water and was a lot longer than that of his Simone on the outside. Once he pleaded the soft snoring stopped and she popped an eye open letting one gray one meet his. She rustled herself lightly and got up on her knees as she rubbed her eyes before pouncing on the petal that he had pulled down. Now it was almost all the way down so that her face could be up close to his. “YOU CAME! YOU SHOWED UP!”

Then her gray eyes drifted down and her face got red. Then she looked down at herself and suddenly she took the petal and she slammed the flower shut like a door. “DON’T LOOK AT ME! THIS ISN’T OKAY! I DIDN’T KNOW I WOULD BE NAKED THIS IS CRUEL! AND WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES,” she peeked out the petal a little. “Did you lose them to Lust? She would probably do that.” She closed the petal. “Can you… make me clothes out of this petal?”

“Just because you saw her doesn’t mean you saw me. We’re different you know! I AM NOT FLOOZY.” After a few moments of trying to figure out just how to remedy the situation so this Simone was pleased she had the petals died around her bust and bottom like a bikini almost. “Much better~”

She tilted her head at him. “You coming in without your gear is going to be a problem. I need to make you a weapon~” She went over to a corpse and plunged her hand into her chest. A few flickers of magic and she pulled out a dagger that’s handle and sheath was entirely bone. She opened it and the translucent blade was a blood red. “A gift~” She held it out to him. “It does special things but you’ll have to figure that out on your own. I was requested to give it to you when you got here. She put me to sleep a long time ago for this moment. I’ve been waiting for you patiently.”

As Lewis fell, the remaining haze left his mind and body. By the time he hit the ground, he felt almost fully like himself once more. There was a part of him that was shaken to its core, but that part was easily locked away in the depths of his mind. Right now, it was the rage that fueled him more than the pain.

Lewis scrambled up. The smell was the first thing to hit him. Death and rotting corpes filled the air. As a seasoned assassin, lewis was used to the smell of death, but this was something far beyond just death. It was indescribable decay. He keeled over, retching. After a moment, the nausea went away, but he still felt sick. He looked around. Everywhere he looked was a corpse of Simone. There must have been one for every time she had died. Over three hundred years worth of bodies.

He wondered if the two he had added to the count were waiting for him somewhere. With eyes watered, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and trudged through the waste and filth. He was lucky though, as almost immediately he was greeted by a guide.

The much younger Simone seemed unfazed by it all, by the death surrounding her, and by a fully nude Lewis who seemed to fall from the sky. But of course, it was her mind. She probably knew he was here somehow or another.

“Lead the way, I guess…” he said as he covered his mouth and nose the best he could with his hands.

He felt it before he saw it. The black flower. He could feel a presence inside of it. Perhaps the next step in this mad world.

He turned to thank the little Simone who had lead him here, but as she said her last words, she suddenly aged fast. The effect was immediate, and her heart exploded, leaving Lewis alone with the black flower, and yet another corpse of Simone at his feet.

“Fantastic…” he said aloud as he turned to the flower.

“I suppose you won’t just wake up if I ask…” he said as he took a step forward, reaching out.

There’s a heartbeat. Lewis closed his eyes. “Come on…I can’t do this alone and you know it. Wake up.”

“So the boy finally wants to actually play?” The Simone that had been sitting on top of the other got up and she took hold of. “If you think I’m the worst this place has got… You don’t know the half of it. This is just the tip of iceberg Lewis.” She pushed him hard. When he should have met the ground he found nothing but dark stormy skies.

The trees were bare and Simones were hung from them with signs stating crimes. Crimes that were probably half-ass or worse. Corpses of Simone were everywhere on the ground, in the water, and sometimes parts of her were falling out of the sky and smacking the ground next to him.

“Lewis… This way,” there was a small tiny girl who looked like Simone. She ran up to him and grabbed his hand. “This way. Please hurry. They are coming. I need to give you something. Someone.” This must have been her before destiny took hold. She pulled him along as giant deformed spider Simones with three heads came along. They were stomping the dead bodies on the ground.

“Lust and Wrath have been in charge for a long time here. Wrath is the worst,” the little girl looked up. “But you helped give something that this place hasn’t had for a long time.” She pulled him. “When I grow up I’ll become one of the corpses too. There are lots of us but I’m here for you,” she pulled him over to a large black flower that was almost ready to bloom. Only there was something… No, someone inside it.

“Open it. Stay safe,” the little girl began to age and soon she was his age and her eyes went dark as her heart exploded.

Lewis having any semblance of control over the situation was an illusion. He did as he was asked, following one of the Simone’s to the other two, which had positioned themselves in such an odd, but alluring way. The first Simone was on all fours, her legs spread just enough to get a glimpse of her waiting pussy. She wiggled her butt, as if begging for attention as the second Simone sat across the first’s back, her legs spread wide. The full view of her body was available to see as she idly played with herself, slowly running her fingers in circles across her clit as she watched and waited for Lewis to take her other self.

The sick and twisted desire that the curse forced upon Lewis took hold as he knelt down, thrusting his cock into the first Simone, fucking her relentlessly. The second Simone merely played with herself, her dead eyes staring into Lewis’, a cruel smile across her face. Did she know how far the assassin had fallen? Did she know that she was in control?

Did it really matter?

He gripped the first Simone’s hips hard, his nails digging into her soft flesh as he came inside of her, the tension of it all releasing into her.

This is wrong.

His eyes widened. He could see it now. The haze was clearing. Was it the orgasm that brought him out of it? The release of the chemicals in his brain that snapped him back to reality?

The Simone’s were killing each other, and reviving, clambering over each other to try and get at him. He fell back, disgusted with himself and what had happened. But now was not the time. No…he had to take actual control of it all right now.

“Fuck this,” he said, leaping up. “Fuck you, and fuck all of this!”

They were all pleading for him and some would fight over who was next for his shaft. The fights were sometimes brutal as they took rocks and bashed each other with it. Within seconds they would be back up. This had to be her lust screaming at him. If pieces of her were everywhere this had to be one of the worst sides of her. His Simone would have been blushing and facepalming but these ones who calling for him and kissing him.

“I can give you more~” One of the Simone crawled over to him and started to kiss him as one more got onto him. Simone was riding his cock hard while the other one lowered herself onto his face. “Now be gentle~ Don’t forget to breathe.” Moans left her mouth as he worked her and the one behind her was feeling just as good.

Once the back Simone was done she rolled off the one on Lewis’s face got off and she pulled him up. “Come on now. You can take me and her~” She pulled another Simone over. “You can have me~” She pushed the Simone down until she positioned herself for the taking. “After you take her.” She pulled him with her as she sat on the Simone and began to kiss him roughly letting him have control of the situation.

The idea of being pinned down by hundreds of copies of Simone was not what Lewis had envisioned for his time in the madness. He tried to fight against it, but each of his limbs were held down by their own individual, leaving Lewis helpless. He struggled against their lustful touches. Each kiss that ran across his body was an affront to the very reason he came here. Their tongues ran across his body, and despite his disgust in it all, his body reacted.

He hated himself.

The two Simone’s that worked at his length seemed to notice his aversion to it, but made it clear their intention of not stopping. One moved op, taking just the tip gently into her mouth. The second went lower, tongue dragging down the shaft, playfully teasing.

“Get the hell off!” Lewis yelled, but his lips were caught in another forceful kiss. Hands once again found themselves around his throat, restricting the air he was getting. The Simone that was choking him sat on his chest, a wicked smile spread across her lips, her eyes full of death and desire.

“You…bitch…” Lewis said as he tried to fight against her. His vision started to go dark, and for a moment he lost consciousness.

When he came to, he felt something between pleasure and pain. His head was pounding, but his cock was feeling…good. Good was not the word to describe it, but Lewis had nothing else that could come to mind. He had never been good with emotions and feelings, but this was something….good.

But what was it? He could feel a weight on top of him, rocking back and forth. The pressure on his wrists and ankles was gone. Was he free? No, there was definitely someone on top of him still. But it felt good. But he knew it was wrong somehow. It wasn’t clear. Everything was hazy.

Lewis was panting. Sweat covered his body, but he couldn’t tell why. He could hear someone else panting and moaning. His vision slowly started to come into focus. Simone was arching back, letting out a cry of pleasure as her body spasmed. Lewis felt her contract on his length. What? He could feel a warm liquid gushing from her, spilling over his flesh.

“What. The. Fuck.” Lewis gasped out finally, regaining control of his senses. “Get the fu-” She leaned against him, pressing her body against his. Her breasts pressed against his chest, and he was uncomfortably aware of being able to feel them. She forced a kiss with him before he could say anything more, and then rolled off of him.

Before Lewis could do anything more, there was another that took her place, forcing herself onto the length of his cock. There was that pleasure again, coursing through his body. It dulled the voice in his head that screamed for him to fight her off, and break free. Was it just the sex? Or was it the fae magic?

“Lewis…” Simone uttered huskily. “Please..” There were more echoes of his name, calling for him. His mind was hazing over again as he tried to fight it. But the pleasure was more than anything he had ever experienced. It was intoxicating.

“More…” he whispered. He hungered for more. Thirsted for more. He needed to feel Simone, to taste Simeone, to devour her very essence. “Give me more…”

“We’re… not where you want to be… Are we?” The Simone looked at him. “We can help you. We can make you feel at home. We can make you never want to leave~” She tilted her head at him when he said that she wasn’t her. “But we are all her.”

Suddenly there were more Simone crawling out of the forest around them. “You never have to go! You can stay here with us. We won’t be alone anymore.” It was contradicting what she had said earlier that she wanted him to kill her. She was kissing him again parting his lips as a few more Simone were kissing up his back, his legs, and two were even at his waist pleasuring his member with their tongues.

“Stay here with us. Play with us… All of us.” There had to be one hundred Simone surrounding them. Each one apparently wanting a piece of Lewis.

Lewis was nothing more than an unwilling actor in a play written for simone. The words that came from his mouth were not his own; the happiness, sadness, pleading and begging…none of it was his. The knife that slit his throat left no mark, and the pain was non-existent, yet he died all the same. He watched as Simone traveled the realm of the fae, floating behind her as a silent observer. He witnessed her wrath, and ultimately her downfall.

And he witnessed her death. Over and over again. Silently begging got the air that would never come, over and over. For three hundred years he waited. And yet, when he was finally dragged out of the water, there was Simone, hovering above him. Her hands were around his neck, tightening as she kissed him, muttering over and over how she died again and again.

And you can help me end it.

Lewis threw her off of him, gasping for air. He righted himself, if only long enough to catch his breath and realize just how deep he had gone into her madness. But nothing seemed to be truly wrong other than the gut feeling that Lewis had settling in his stomach. He stood up.

“Simone…” He looked around, confused. Where the fuck are my clothes. And no weapons either… He grimaced. What a pain. “Simone, where are we?” His eyes scanned the sky. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. But he had a task to do. Now was not the time to worry about decency.

Find the true Simone. He looked to the one that had dragged him out of the water. How long had he been here? Three hundred years of drowning alongside Simone, yet he hadn’t aged a day. And neither had she from what he could tell.

“Except you’re not her…” he said finally. Of course she wouldn’t be. That would have been far too easy.

The ticking of a music box was playing while Lewis was in the deep dark of Simone’s mind. A flash of light and he was in a black and white world. She sat there rocking in a chair. It was a child’s nursery and when her gray eyes fell on Lewis she shook her head they looked so sad. “Now isn’t the time for you to be here with me just yet. It’s pulling you in now so stay strong. I’ve left something for you and you’ll know it when you find it.”

The first place that Lewis would find himself in was almost more like a play. He was walking in and Simone came running over to him kissing him. “YOU ARE FINALLY HOME! I’ve been waiting for you!” She ran away and came back with a little bundle. “Well, we’ve been waiting.” The babe made a few fussy noises as Lewis took him and hushed the baby down. The days played out softly for a few with Simone happy with her little family. “It’s almost time now… I need you to leave.” Lewis began to argue with her about staying to protect her. “YOU CAN’T. No one can. Now go.”

Simone shooed him out of the house with enough supplies and helped him with a horse. “Just forget I exist. It will be easier that way. I won’t remember you anyway… Now he’s coming and you have to go.” She shooed him once more.

Lewis was jolted from the scene to just outside where Simone was setting fire to the house. She watched it all burn and she was actually crying. “I’m so tired of this life,” she screamed at no one. She cleared the tears. “I want a meeting with the Fey Queen Meadhbh NOW,” she let out a wild scream. “I am Simone Auclair and I demand a meeting.”

She was pulled through magic but she wasn’t scared as she was hauled in front of a beautiful giant fairy. Things were offered to Simone but she ignored them as the queen and her stared down. “If I took these things I wouldn’t be of use to you for your revenge against your servant who now claims he is a king.” Simone’s voice held no snark as she approached.

“I will let you speak but you want something from me don’t you Blessed Child?”

“You say I’m blessed but he did this to me?!” Simone beat at her chest. “I die and I die and I die. I don’t remember shit but just before he comes for me?!”

“No one told him to do this to you. We just told him he needed you for a child if he wanted his little city to survive. Are you mad at me Blessed one?”

“No, you didn’t do this to me. I want the tools to end his family… I have a bad feeling the end of my happy years are coming. When you’ve been imbued with fey magic for as long as I have you learn when the tides are turning.”

The scene cut to her tied up as the fey man killed her children one by one. She was screaming for them by name. “Fuck you. FUCK YOU TO HELL. I will never in a million years give you what you want. You can kill me over and over. I will never love you enough to give you a child. I WILL ALWAYS COME BACK AND KILL MYSELF JUST LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS DONE. You’ve not seen wrath.”

He had made the mistake of thinking she was a weak human. Lewis would see her binding the doors to the fairy houses with iron. She was salting the doors with iron at night. Finally from two bottles she tossed. “I want them all dead,” the deed which had brought the fey to their end.

The scene shifted to the man screaming at Simone as she was tied to several large rocks. “Everything I have done for you. EVERYTHING I’VE LET YOU HAVE.”

“You took it all away from me the moment you TOOK them from me.” He cut her womb from her in front of her and her body healed. “So that’s it? You just take my happiness?”

“It’s insurance just in case you somehow manage to get out of this lake before I’m ready for you,” the man snapped his fingers and she watched the rocks dragged.

“FUCK YOU,” Simone spit and it managed to hit him in his face. “I will never give it to you. NEVER. You are just as alone as I am now. We can suffer alone,” she yelled as the rocks pulled her the bottom of the lake.

Lewis was in the water with her as she struggled and screamed. She died and she died.

“And I died again,” hands grabbed Lewis and pulled him to a meadow. She had those dead eyes. “I died again and again. He did this to me.” She took Lewis by the face and brought him to her kissing him. “And you can help me end it.”
