That's alright. :) Hopefully we'll get the change to write sometime down the road. :)

I feel horrible! I do apologize for my unannounced hiatus, everyone- I'm afraid I'll have to resign from all the Timedeath threads.

Tis okay xD I'm just too impatient for rp

Author: Chae, Posted: Sun Dec 27, 2015 10:21 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Eunoia has dropped out and Ven insists he will post soon. I will reply tomorrow whether he does or not. Sorry for the wait!

Author: Ame Keldorn, Posted: Sun Dec 27, 2015 7:54 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Anyone else going to reply to the second hand quest?

Author: Chae, Posted: Sun Dec 20, 2015 2:02 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Looking at your profile I think it would be okay to fit your bard into the last spot in the Fusee quest. If it's alright with the others I'll PM you the link. :)

This means that all of the quest spots are taken, unless someone drops out.

Author: maffleet, Posted: Sun Dec 20, 2015 12:21 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

If it's too late I'd like to take part in one of these.

Author: Chalky, Posted: Sat Dec 19, 2015 4:42 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Posted in the Ratchet Wheel. Sorry for the wait and short post. Severe writer's block sucks. Feel free to guide Chalky along for your next posts to help advance things.

Author: Chae, Posted: Fri Dec 18, 2015 6:30 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

The final mini-quest is here! I have also PMed the participants to notify them personally.

The Second Hand

Author: Chae, Posted: Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:57 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

After reading your profile I think the second hand quest would be better anyway. That way we have a balanced team of rogue, warrior, and mage for a predominately fighting-based adventure! I'll have that written up today.

Author: Ame Keldorn, Posted: Fri Dec 18, 2015 3:20 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

I don't really mind either way, put me where you need me most!

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Thu Dec 17, 2015 10:18 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Posted to the Ratchet Wheel, as promised. Now to think up ways to frustrate a dragon other than just robbing it blind. >.>

Author: Chae, Posted: Thu Dec 17, 2015 6:53 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Nope! There's one more spot open in the Second Hand Quest since I haven't posted it yet, and technically one more in the Fusee Quest if Naota and Sylvi don't mind a third. Do you prefer one or the other?

Author: Ame Keldorn, Posted: Thu Dec 17, 2015 6:28 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

ooh! I want to join in! It's not too late is it?

Author: Chae, Posted: Thu Dec 17, 2015 4:56 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

The threads have been posted!

The Fusee
The Ratchet Wheel

I need to speak with the new player (who still hasn't joined, but is very interested in the third quest) before I post for the Second Hand. Eunoia, you're officially on the list for that quest if you are still interested!

You may pretty much go about this however you like; I have some plans, but I really want to make this about your decisions. Let me know if you have any questions here.

Author: Chae, Posted: Wed Dec 16, 2015 10:40 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Last call for sign-ups! I have interest from a new player for the second hand quest as well, but that still means there are 2-3 more spots available. I'll be posting starters for each thread some time tomorrow.

Author: Eunoia, Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2015 11:47 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Wonderful! This, Eunoia, is my (Petrichor) alt!

Author: Chae, Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2015 5:34 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

It's true that there are limited spots, but I also have no idea how popular this event will be. I will go ahead and put you down for the ratchet wheel quest, though it won't start until Wednesday due to my and CodeAni's schedule conflicts. If the second hand quest is not filled by then, you can do both. :D What's the name of your alt, just in case?

The fusee: Naota & Sylvi
The ratchet wheel: CodeAni, Chalky, & Petrichor [Closed]

Author: Petrichor, Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2015 5:23 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

May I join the Ratchet Wheel as well? Also, may I use my other account and character to join for finding another piece such as the Rod or such, or is the Event limited to one character only?

:D

The fusee: Naota & Sylvi
The ratchet wheel: CodeAni & Chalky

Author: Moliira, Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2015 8:18 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

I'd like to help Naota on my alt Sylvi.  A half demon and a cat demon should be fun.

Author: Naota, Posted: Sat Dec 12, 2015 1:07 AM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Sign Naota up for The Fusee!  Gotta put these diplomacy skills for him to work :3

Excellent!

The ratchet wheel: CodeAni & Chalky

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2015 11:30 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Chalky and Natsumi for life. ;)

Author: Chalky, Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2015 11:21 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Sounds cool. What do you think CodeAni? 'The Tailed Twosome™' strike again on a relic hunt?

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2015 3:59 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Works for me on the inspiration bit. Sign me up for the dragon one. I also have the same time constraints of the evening of the 16th, as that's when my last final is complete.

Author: Chae, Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2015 3:47 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Chae has organized the team, but she won't be present in the thread. We'll say those who did not see the flyers or seek out the goddess for guidance simply felt the inspiration to be in the right place at the right time to meet with the rest of their group. :)

Author: CodeAni, Posted: Fri Dec 11, 2015 2:55 PM, Post Subject: Timedeath Mini-Quests

Two questions for clarification:
1. Is the goddess actually leading these parties or are you purely performing the DM role from a distance?
2. Would my character have to say they signed up for a quest in person with the goddess or are they able to say they arrived by third hand knowledge to help?

Time Death Mini-Quests

The Timedeath Theory is a sound one, and the Clock is large but will be mended. While its lesser pieces lie scattered around the world, there are some key parts that have been discovered intact. These parts were difficult to locate and will be even more difficult to retrieve, for they have been tucked away by greedy hands and the passage of time. As the task at hand is announced to the citizenry, so too are little flyers popping up on town bulletins, market posts, and even the occasional tree in the middle of the wilds. They advertise that capable adventurers seek out the Library in Wyllmochvar, for the Goddess has tasks of her own to assign.

The following are three major parts that must be found. For each, I will be leading a group of player characters in a single thread through a series of battles, puzzles, and other tests of skill. Consider me your DM or, in this case, your thread master. Sign up by posting here which piece you would like to find, and I will keep a list updated by posting it occasionally. I'm hoping to get 2-3 players for each adventure.

The second hand. This thin black rod, as long a man, has been sighted in the wasteland known as Sarchu Valley. Raiders and treasure hunters alike passed it by because it was plain and heavy, but now that its worth is known there are many who would seek it out for a less than honorable cause. Yours is the only one that will save this world from the curse of timelessness.

The fusee. This long chain, used to give accuracy to the Clock's spring mechanism, was discovered long ago by a mercenary strapped for cash. He sold it to a merchant, who sold it at auction, and now it is draped prettily in the private quarters of an Egjoran noble. The woman and her family probably do not know the true worth of their ornament, but will still not be likely to give it away.

The ratchet wheel. Its cogs softened by its association with the main wheel, this large clockwork piece is something of a staple in the dragon's hoard beneath the Zujiuchu Mountains. The dwarves have seen it there for decades, but none have gotten close enough to take it. Their help may be enlisted in offense against the scaled beast, but perhaps there is a subtler way to defeat it.

This is an opportunity to post quickly to gain the parts you need for the synth you want, but it's also a sort of unveiling for a personalized quest feature that I offer at any time. For more information on mini-quests unrelated to the current site event, check out the bottom of this post.

Sign-Ups will close on Wednesday, the 16th or when all slots are filled in a particular mini-quest. In the latter case I will begin the quest early, but I won't be able to post very quickly until after the 16th.
