The area around her was so lively. She had never seen so many active people or living people for months now. She had always been around the undead, that was a requirement  since she couldn’t help herself. She hugged onto Ellura, who was nestled into her arms. “Dessie,” she meeped up to Desmond who was probably not happy with her request that they come. “They are throwing powder all over us.” That was the entire point of the festival.

She took a handful of the colorful powder and looked at it. She smiled before throwing it into the crowd. They liked it! They gave her their thanks and she got wide eyed and sort of hungry at all the excitement. “I’m hungry.” She looked back at Desmond who probably could only sigh at his young childe. Being around this many warm blooded people could make the girl lose control.

She wandered off if only for a second to drag some unsuspecting soul into the alleyway. It was hard to get alone but she finally did it. She left his body there and noticed there was another one not to far away. Tilting her head she went back to Desmond and had a look of concern. “People are killing the colorful folk!” Okay, so perhaps it wasn’t her best tone of voice.

“You don’t know?” One of the guards came over. “There have been a string of murders in the city.. We’re giving rewards for more information. If you see anything please let us know.”

The guard was kind of handsome in a way, his blood pulsing and Saffron resisted the urge to reach out and pet his hair. “There are bodies over in that alleyway,” Saffron said with no remorse to pinning her kill on someone else. “Kind of scary.” She held up her dragon to the guard and he realized she was out of her mind. 

She watched as the guard walked away and she looked at Desmond. “Did he not like Ellura?”
