Even though this city was not home, Lilith found herself quite thoroughly enjoying Abed.  Just about anything could be found here, from the pretty fabrics to the prettier slaves that would do just about anything they were asked to do.  Foods from all over, rich wines could be purchased on any corner.  But too could be found the poisons and venoms so often slipped into that food and drink.  It was a lovely city with a dark secret, and Lilith grinned.  This was a good place for her, and for the one she truly served.

Turning her eyes to a troupe of dancers moving through the streets, Lilith smiled.  They were proud of their bodies, and not afraid of flaunting their beauty.  It was something the daemoness approved of, too many humans were afraid and almost disgusted of their natural charms.  But on the same token, it did make them all the more susceptible to her kind.  The music had a lovely beat to her ears, and Lilith found herself swaying slightly to the melody.  Perhaps she could learn some of those dance moves, and she studied them more closely.

The dancers reached a large square and stopped in earnest, with great shouts from the crowds.  It seemed that was a common occurrence, given the number of tea and food vendors set up in this area.  Abed was such a curious place in some ways, chaotic on the surface, yet it did have its routine.  She wandered to one of the vendors, and purchased a cup of chilled mint tea.  It was flavored with honey, and helped quench her thirst.  Some of it anyway.  It had been quite awhile since she had fed on something more substantial, and this would make a good hunting ground.  Especially one of the little urchins running around.

But Lilith knew she would have to be careful.  So she sipped her tea, and watched the dancing troupe.  Perhaps there would be good hunting within the crowd too.  Assuming there wasn't a dogooder about.

Ryail Morrigan

Character Info
Name: Ryail Morrigan
Age: late 20s
Alignment: LE
Race: human
Gender: Male
Class: artisan necromancer
Silver: 805
Ryail Morrigan stood off to the side of an entrance to the large square. he didn't like cities much, to many living people about, chattering endlessly on about nonsense and never realizing that their lives mattered not at all. Ryail moved a little further to the side as a troupe of dancers passed him into the square and froze ever so slightly as he felt the presence of dark power flowing over his skin and resonating with his own.

looking around for the source of the magic and not finding it. he smiled a challenge he thought a chance to practice our skills and perhaps learn something of interest in this dull city. he continued his musing maybe I will meet someone interesting here after all.

Ryail unzipped his bag and whispered "spread out but remain hidden seek the source of the power and alert me" at his words four large skeletal rats crawled out of the bag and down his clothes to the ground. they were dyed a mottled brown that would blend in fairly well to the dirty streets and people rarely looked at the ground anyway.

the rats were not good for very much but they could sense the power that created them making it easy to find their master and the feel of this magic was similar so even they should be able to find the mage should they get close enough, and once close enough all they had to do was squeal or scratch at the mage and Ryail's other companion would be able to take over the hunt.

Conner watched from hiding as his master unleashed the rats. he had felt the power faintly as well for he too was a skeletal creation of his lord Ryail. Conner didn't know why Ryail wanted to find the mage responsible for the magic but it was of no real concern to him, his job was to watch the rats and once they "sniffed" out his prey he would act. he glanced back at his lord to see what action he was to take and read the unobtrusive hand jesters Ryail made, first "observe" and then "no engagement"

fair enough he was to follow the mage and report back. he followed the rats with his sunken eye sockets flickering back and forth between them as they spread out into the crowd waiting for the tell tale sign that they had found his prey.

What an exciting day this was. They arrived in Abed to visit a friend and were greeted by a festival instead. The Festival of Color in honor of…of…Who cares. Food, games, competition and the air ripe with death! Like Christmas in July!

The Eldritch pair sauntered along the market, Nihr reminiscing about his art piece for the sand art competition. "So then I motioned for the black to switch around and gathered the red sands, and then instead of making the man hit the cat I made so he'd hit his wife instead! WACK!" he almost shouted…"Ax splits her skull, face frozen in surprise and horror, eyes slightly drooping as life left her. And then…and then, Ramla… A burst of red sands just oozing out of her skull." He sighed contently. "I'm going to win this contest, mark my words."

~"Okay, enough talk about the arts. How about we go sit down somewhere and have something to drink?"~

He looked down, listening to her plead for something she wanted to do. Right now he really wanted to figure out why this city reeked but…"I guess there's no harm in relaxing." He admitted. But what's this, tiny spikes in dark energy? He looked down at his feet and spotted 1 rat, then another and then….He stomped on the next one. Bending down he picked it up from underneath his boot. He opened his mouth to say something while the critter squirmed in his grasp. But seeing her sad eyes again…ugh.

He groaned and then dropped the rat and set it free again. "A small rat is no threat to us, so why bother." With that he had her arm loop around his and together they walked to a little tea shop. People seemed to be seated outside of it. "There, tea shop. You like tea, right?" He lead them to the shop and took a seat.

But what's this…the Perv senses are tingling. On the inside the man would bare a large grin when he spotted new prey. A lovely lady sipping tea.

Ramla

Ramla and Nihr were sauntering through the plaza, enjoying the music and dancers. They had just returned from competing in an art tournament involving enchanted colored sands. Well Nihr competed, Ramla just watched from the sidelines. she was never the talented one when it came to arts. Other than perhaps the piano and singing a few songs for her kids. Although it wasn't rockstar material.

The city of Abed reminded her a lot of the world she came from. Similar architecture, culture, even the food was similar and yet it all felt so refreshing and new. She listened to Nihr's rambling about his art performance, he was so proud of it. Convinced that he would win. Well they'll just have to wait until they can read the results on the News boards.

"Okay, enough talk about arts. How about we go sit down somewhere and have something to drink?" She turned to him and stopped him in his tracks, placing her hand on his chest with pleading eyes. For once she just wanted to explore the city and relax. Just no fuss. Just one day being murder-free. She looked down and startled when Nihr stomped on something. Frowning when he revealed a bony rat. "Eww…Please?" After expressing her disgust she returned with her puppy eyes.

Waiting for his reply she let out a little squeal when he complied and suggested a tea shop nearby. "Sounds good." She smiled and felt so relax until she saw that look on his face….great. Before he got the chair to even move an inch she leaned towards him and whispered in his ear. "If you get off your chair I'll slam you through the ground and into the sewers." She sat back down and smoothed out her bronze colored dress. Ordering some tea made from Abedian herbs and spices, but never taking her eye of him.

There was quite a lot of fun to be had in simply sitting in the sun, sipping tea and letting her legs show.  Men, and even a few women noticed her, even if Lilith gave absolutely no notice of their attention.  She did notice the rats, but gave them almost no attention.  It was a human city, so of course there were quite a few of them about.  It was only when a man stepped on one, killing it without question.  Now that was interesting.  Most humans were rather squeamish about killing living creatures.  Lilith of course had no such holdback of not killing.  It was only the threat of being discovered that tended to hold her back from her temptation to kill wantonly.

The not-man had a female companion, though she seemed to do little more just now than follow him around.  They sat close to her, but not enough for Lilith to hear just what the woman said.  But the look on her face spoke volumes.  "Well, perhaps today won't be so boring after all," she though to herself, more than a bit smug.  While Colden was off on his business, she might as well enjoy herself.

But just how to set either of them off… one of the waiters approached, and she was presented with a small spread of desserts.  Though she was loathe to admit it… Lilith did have a sweet tooth.  she selected a piece of chocolate cake decorated with cherries.  Slowly and carefully, she ate each piece, making a bit of a show of enjoying it.  And it truly was a lovely piece of cake.  Lilith also made sure that the man was eying her as much as possible.

He couldn't help but smirk when he caught Lilith's attention. Leaning back in his chair, his body slightly turned towards her. His amethyst gaze turned to Ramla as he chuckled at her warning. "Worried I might find someone to divert my obsession to?" He asked with a smirk as he thanked the waiter for the tea. Ramla laughed, "Oho sweetheart. I'm not worried about that, you can have all the toys you want. I'm just tired of cleaning up the mess that's all." She brought her lips to the rim of her cup before glancing up at him. "You tend to overdo it at times."

He nodded and smiled at the images playing through his mind. He couldn't help it….he liked a snack after sex…Nihr turned his attention back to Lilith, noticing she got herself a cake. Eyeing her lecherously; the proud display of her legs, athletic body. Either cause she's a health freak or she's knows how to handle herself during trouble. Blood red lips wrapped around the fork as she ate her cake.

He wanted to be that fork.

He imagines how soft her tongue must feel like, licking those cherries as she tugged on the stems. Wondering if she could make a knot in those….

Hot damn…another one for the Harem! Ramla warned him again when he felt her aura tug on his but what the heck! In the blink of an eye he was seated next to Lilith. Chin resting in his hand, his elbow on the table while he flashed his most charming smile he could muster. "You look like a Delilah. What's your name, pretty kitty?"

Ah, a magic user of some kind.  That could be useful to Lilith.  There were still secrets and tricks of the mortal realm she needed to learn, and she learned better from people than musty old tomes.  "I knew a Delilah once, long ago.  She was sweet, but tended to fall for stupid men.  I don't.  My name is Lilith," she said before enjoying the last bite of cake.  It was the perfect treat, and had certainly put her in the mood for mischief.  She glanced over at the woman still sitting at the table and winked.  This would be a fun day.

"Your friend over there, she looks nice.  Tell me about her?" she requested.  If that woman was too dangerous, Lilith would end the game.  There was a bigger play at hand that she worried about more, though there was nothing saying that she couldn't have her fun.  She didn't know enough about them just yet to know the relationship, but it was quite clear she was the jealous sort.
