Huge scaled wings pushed through the cold air effortlessly; their white pigment shone brightly in the full moons light. Jenlu gripped the ridges on the dragon’s shoulders; they’d travelled along way to find this place. The Boreas dragon suddenly started to descend, until he landed gently beside the Tower of Edhit. The young woman atop the dragon quickly dismounted, landing on the cobbles with her own gentle thud. She threw her midnight hood over her head and patted her companion’s platted throat. “Thank you friend; find somewhere to rest, I will call you when we need to leave.” She turned from the dragon as it beat its wings and disappeared.

Jenlu was here with a purpose in mind, as soon as she had checked that no one was around she made her way to the base of the gargantuan tower and found its huge wooden door. As she rushed forwards, her long fingers caressed the cold wood, its worn surface radiated with power. A power source she could use; had the door not been locked for longer than living memory. The look of wonder spread across her face slowly faded, morphed and changed into irritation.

Mysteriously she pulled a staff out from beneath her coat, it was six feet long silver with a rough but sparkling sapphire set at its top. The gem sparkled and the staff radiated a metallic noise as Jenlu cast an incarnation on the door. It failed.

She tried again. And again. And again.

Two days passed before she looked up into the starry sky; every suitable spell she knew tried, every incarnation, curse or force she could muster. One the second night a clergyman had approached her, and described the cavern beneath. She wrapped her black cloak around her body, and pulled up the hood, mages staff still in hand she made her way down the path. If she couldn’t get in that way, maybe the magical spring in the cavern beneath Edhit would prove more useful to her?
Scrubble

Character Info
Name: Scrubble

Race: Goblin

Class: Grand Inquisitor of The Faith of Holy Paladins of The Most Holy Lord Scrubble Blessed is His Name

If one were to look at the pale cliff side which the tower of Edhit was up against one would probably be able to notice a moving green splotch on it. That was Scrubble who had been given a quest by the holy lord Scrubble to go north and find something! While that does sound vague for a holy quest from Scrubble being given something other than a cardinal direction was a miracle in it of itself when it came to receiving quests. Scrubble however no matter how vague and unhelpful the quest was always unlocked the true meaning behind the words of Scrubble. So Scrubble climbed completely disregarding the fact that there were other ways to reach the tower. As when Scrubble told Scrubble to go one way Scrubble went that way until the quest was complete.

Scrubble with the divine help of Scrubble managed to reach the top of the cliffs only losing three boots on the way up. However much the lost of both regular boots and the one spare sandal tore Scrubble up inside there could be no holy quest without sacrifice. Now the rest of journey would have to be done with the one remaining sandal. After slipping the over sized shoe on Scrubble began to search for a door. Surprise Surprise though the building did not contain a door up against a cliff face. Truly this was one of Scrubbles most extreme tests for Scrubble. Scrubble consulted with Scrubble about what to do next "Scrubble where should Scrubble go? Scrubble must go left". With all questions Scrubble had ever had in his life gone after those few words of wisdom from Scrubble Scrubble began his quest to go left.

Eventually after the arduous journey of going left where Scrubbles final sandal was lost. Scrubble arrived near a door where a woman was pointing a metal stick at it. She was obviously confused about how doors work Scrubble would have to ask Scrubble if Scrubble should help the woman. "Should Scrubble help the woman understand doors?" Scrubble whispered to Scrubble. "Scrubble must help this woman with the door". With that out of the way Scrubble strutted up next to the woman pulled out the holy blade of Scrubble and then began hitting the door with the sword while shouting something about Scrubble.

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear simple and wrong.

Italics is god Scrubble, bold is paladin Scrubble.

For those wondering why Scrubbles name is said so much in these posts its because I refuse to refer to Scrubble as anything but Scrubble.

Two days passed before she looked up into the starry sky; every suitable spell she knew tried, every incarnation, curse or force she could muster. On the second night a clergyman had approached her, he spoke of the cavern beneath. It was a refuge for the abandoned followers of dead gods; filled with their relics and stories. Jenlu sat down with her back against the cold bricks and looked out into the night sky. She was so far from home, she had no real transport, no friends and no hope of ever seeing her family again.

A tear had almost formed in her emerald green eye when out of the bush came a scruffy looking goblin – well a goblin with no shoes. All goblins are scruffy looking. Enthusiastically the creature offered to help, she had almost opened her mouth when the goblin, muttering under its breath pulled out a sword and started slashing at the unbreakable door.

She watched him for a moment, a warm smile spread across her lips. At least he was –trying- to help her. “I am Jenlu.” She said politely, careful to keep out of swinging distance she approached him and dropped her hood; revealing messy tangles of jet black hair and startling green eyes. “You are Scrubble? That right?” She gestured for him to stop swinging the sword around. “You won’t get through there, but there may be a way through the tunnels beneath.” A dangerous smile spread across her face, her eyes twinkled with adventure as she spoke again her voice was laced with excitement. “I’m going to go have a look, could use a well-armed goblin if you fancy it?”

She wrapped her black cloak around her body, and pulled up the hood, mages staff still in hand she made her way down the path. If she couldn’t get in through the door, maybe the magical spring in the cavern beneath Edhit would prove more useful to her?

This door was proving a mighty opponent for Scrubble. No matter how many times Scrubble slashed at it the door would not yield! Scrubble then unleashed his mightiest attack the holy headbutt of Scrubble. However the door proved to be made of Sterner stuff and not even the Holy Headbutt of Scrubble would get it to give ground. It was around this point that the woman who couldn't open doors came over to Scrubble and began to talk to Scrubble. She asked if Scrubble was Scrubble, truly a great question could Scrubble ever truly be Scrubble? "Scrubble is Scrubble! But there is also Scrubble who is also named Scrubble!".

Then Scrubble heard the woman now known as Jenlu speak of tunnels to Scrubble. "Scrubble knows of tunnels, all goblins know tunnels Scrubbles home was a tunnel. Then orcs came to kick out Scrubble". Orcs were truly a plague upon Scrubbles house, though Scrubble had not yet given Scrubble the holy quest to go reclaim the holy home of Scrubble. By this point the door woman was walking away. So Scrubble broke out into a sprint to get in front of her. "Scrubble will lead the way! Scrubble will find all the tunnels for Scrubble!".

Hmm but how was Scrubble going to find a cave? Scrubble knew Scrubble would ask Scrubble if Scrubble knew where a cave was! "Does Scrubble know where Scrubble can find a cave. Yes Scrubble saw a cave while climbing the cliff Scrubble says that that is a cave". Scrubble now knew where Scrubble was going. To jump off a cliff!
