The Karith College of Bards was always colorful and full of music and song. Anyone who wanted to learn songs, music, story telling and even dance would come from Canelux and across Parvpora to join, hoping they had what it would take to make their way in the world by way of performance. Aisling Melianme was one such person. She had a passion for music, poetry and story telling, and her fingers were callused from playing many instruments over many many years. The young half-elf had her father to thank for her opportunity to come to the college, and this would be her third year.

Aisling's specialties included flute, harp, lute, oratory and vocals, and she had been told she was quite talented by many she had spoken to. But so were so many others at the college. It was hard to find opportunities to really shine, but there were plenty of opportunities to learn from the others. They came in all sizes and cultures here, and many different races. Though, for Aisling, she was a dime a dozen. Music and performance seemed to be the most popular way of life for half-elves. In that way, Aisling was no exception. She had been there long enough to know that there were some who were just going to have the easiest time finding troupes or even patrons, while others were going to have to try and scrape by singing in taverns and inns along the roadside.

It was a moment of freedom from any lessons, a rather rare thing since she preferred to stay as busy as possible, so she was sitting on the edge of the fountain in the central courtyard carefully tuning her lute. As she sat there, she heard the tell-tale gabble of the followers of possibly the most popular bard at the College. She looked up, and sure enough, there he was, looking calm and cool as an ever growing posse of infatuated first years followed after him. They were all sorts, but he, he was something special. He was a rare Rosenite Prince.  She couldn't decide what it was about him that made him so appealing. Was it because he was a Rosenite, or was it because he was a prince? He was plenty good looking to be sure, and she knew him to be a very talented musician, but there were plenty who were almost as good that did not have such a following.
