The tired elf nodded. ”She doesn’t know fear like we do. Fear of loss, fear of aggression, yes. Fear of strangers? Almost nonexistent. Alone and in Vilpamolan most of her life, and she still has a bright view on life.” She had not answered his question just yet. No, she still mulled it over. Information was a dangerous weapon, and while Cole now had a dagger of it, should she allow it to grow?

The hunter human led her to a healer who marveled at the work already done to Celeste. However, the elf remained silent. Some sun, some rest, and she would be fine soon enough. Fortunately, Akira was just exhausted from overexerting herself. ”Would you like to sit and talk awhile? I can conjure some wine, a meal perhaps?” The healer that they had been taken to did provide lodging for them, for which Celeste was thankful.

She did as promised and summoned a meal for them, accompanied by a bottle of spiced wine. ”Akira was a lost child, but he knows now. When people look at her, they don’t see the god of darkness within her at all. She acts too bright and bubbly for them to see it. So, the knowledge of her heritage is safe until she opens her mouth. Of course, there’s no telling how many people she has told already, and impossible to guess how many will be told.” Together, they ate and drank until Celeste yawned and curled up around Akira. Cole chose to take his leave, leaving the huntress with the god offspring to rest.

He waited patiently; as patiently as he could with the level of agitation he had acquired with his shopping of supplies being interrupted. Gray eyes slowly shifted to the now pleasant beast that rubbed against the woman’s leg. It was quite pleased that its master was now safe and going to live. Cole bowed his head in a slight nod while taking the young child into his arms. He was careful in his grasp as he shifted. She was a light creature that held more power than would have been initially assumed upon first look. Extra care was taken while positioning her small head against his arm and chest. Her breath was calm and steady. Cole was pleased to be able to feel that in the very least.

“She is quite the strong little personality. There is little fear in the child when it comes to needing to aid others.” He caught sight of the guards that watched their approach while taking the pace that Celeste set. It was better that they followed what she was capable of instead of the long strides that the demon hunter was more accustomed to. The young child and the mother needed to get rest and healing.

With the reveal of truth, Cole’s brows knit together. The power that he had felt from the child made more sense now. Being the offspring of a deity was not a common occurrence, especially ones that were outside the protective scope of the parent. It was surprising that there were not more around that wished to use a spare child of Xunatar as leverage. There was the possibility that there were. “Does Xunatar know of Akira’s existence? Or is she one of the lost children?”

They crossed into the city’s perimeter and it was then that the woman apologized. He was slightly surprised, but he kept his face the same. “I accept, Celeste Nash. With children you can never be too cautious. It makes more sense now.” He turned down one of the streets towards one of the quieter healers he had been to. They did good work and would give lodging. “I am Cole Cocidius.”

The elf raised an eyebrow, studying the man for a long moment, Reika rubbing against her leg with a loud purr. A sigh escaped her as she relinquished the child into Cole’s arms. ”Something tells me that she would have been all over you the moment things calmed down.” Celeste was the one to set the pace as they began the slow return to the city. Internally, she struggled with how much she should share to explain things. Slowly, she began, voice soft and almost defeated.

”Akira… is a special girl. Been on her own all of her life until my wife and I adopted her. But, we can’t keep her to stay in one place. Despite the fact we yearn to protect her for ourselves, it was discovered the is the child of a god. She is so innocent, so sweet… I fear for her, and I fear the wrath of Xunatar.” Silence descended as the elf questioned why she was automatically harsh against this stranger.

With her being recently revived, a child in her wife’s belly, not to mention her years of entrapment, she has been quick to judge, and slow to adjust. ”I apologize… For my coldness. I’m Celeste Nash. And… Thank you.”

The elf woman was not moving besides the shallow rise and fall of her chest in every effort of breath.  Cole was no healer except for his own kind or himself.  Demon hunters were made up in an extremely different way that could not use traditional healing.  The woman held on, but it would not be long with her injuries if there was not an interference from an expert.  He glanced over at the city and wondered if he would be able to make there and back in enough time.  There was doubt that any healer would make their way out of the city as the damage had been down to the city itself.

Magic began to take its place in the healing of the elf.  Cole could sense the magic as well as watched closely for if it was about to get out of control.  He could tell early on that the child held powers beyond her years, but there was was no telling what sort of control was maintained.  Gray eyes watched closely while the mermaid ethereal being floated through the air giving her aid as well.  The demon hunter did not feel wholly comfortable with another summoned creature being in the vicinity considering what they had just handled recently.  He kept his mouth closed, though his hands were rested upon his dagger hilts to be on the safe side.

Cole stood silently even as Akira looked at him with a stern expression.  Why was it that these two were in constant disapproval of him?  The white haired hunter moved only slightly as the child collapsed.  Though the child had collapsed from over exhaustion, Cole was quiet while Celeste attempted to piece together the situation while she had been out.  He watched as the mother lifted the young girl and he could only lift a brow and tilt his chin as he was thanked and threatened all in the same breath.  "You, as well as your little, have an odd way to express your gratitude.  Do not over do it," he responded.  The distance was closed between them and he hoovered a hand over the pair of them.  "Obviously, both of you are exhausted.  Let me aid you to the city to get some rest and additional healing."

The child sniffled as she allowed the white haired man move her aside. She worriedly fidgeted her hand together. Reika pressed against the child, taking in the scene. One wrong move, and she would strike at the man. Akira gasped as fog seemed to pour from the man as he began to move the tree. It both scared her, and fascinated her. As the tree rose, Akira stood higher and higher upon her toes, chin lifting as if she was trying to crane her neck to have a better view of the woman below.

For just a moment, time stood still to Akira. Cole stood strong and tall, the tree suspended in midair. Her breath froze in her chest, everything seemed fit to burst. Then, the tree fell, the ground shook, and Akira was already on the opposite side of Cole, on her knees. She knew better than to touch the woman, still her hands hovered over her, unsure of what to do. ”Mama?” While Celeste’s chest rose from an intake of air, her eyes did not open, nor did her lips part to utter a sound.

”Mama? CELESTE!” But the woman didn’t budge. Instead, from underneath Celeste, a white betta mermaid with rainbow fins emerged. It was an incorporeal being, moving through the air as if it was water. She moved gracefully over the elf’s body, one hand reaching out and submerging just inside of the woman’s body. After but a moment, the mermaid swam in circles around the slowly rising and falling chest. An unnatural seriousness befell the child at this point, fear visible in her eyes, yet she looked confident.

Akira looked sternly at Cole. ”Shhh. Akira concentrate now.” The water skin at the woman’s hip burst open as the water flowed forth, curling around the child’s hands. It began to glow softly, a pale icy color as Akira lowered her hands to Celeste’s chest. Closing her eyes, the child sat very still, barely breathing. She frowned as time began to pass. Eventually, the water bubble burst, soaking the elf’s clothing, as Akira collapsed, breathing heavily. The mermaid disappeared back into the dark hair as the elf’s eyes began to flutter open. ”Ung. What happened?”

Celeste attempted to sit up. With her success came a wince as something inside complained. ”Akira?” The child in question smiled weakly up at Celeste, waving tiredly. ”Tell me you’re just tired.” Worry was evident in her voice, and the elf sighed with relief as the child nodded. After standing, and scooping the child up with a bit of effort, Celeste looked at Cole. ”Looks like you keep your life today. Thank you.”

Cole turned his gaze around to take in the damage that had been done.  There was much that would need to be repaired and that would cost coin.  More so, the demon hunter was not sure if the elves would see this as a point of their pride being damaged as they had been victims of such an attack.  Even with their skills the magic had been been brought back into control due to them.  He could not help but smirk a little at the thought of their pride being hurt a little.  Served them right.  Cole turned his head to see the same little girl from earlier beginning to run towards him.  Instinctively he checked to make sure that his blades were properly put in their sheathes.

Kneeling down he listened to the child and attempted to soothe her with a gentle pat on her back.  She pulled at his clothing in desperation.  He had heard the names that she had cried out and they were those that had been called out prior.  Celeste seemed to be a mother figure to the child, and she needed to be reunited.  "Easy child,"  he said with as much of a soothing tone as he could muster.  Children were not his forte in the least.  He watched as she left in a frantic sprint towards one of the downed trees.  Cole stood up and brushed the dirt from his knees.

Continued yelling came forth from the little girl that prompted the hunter to run over at a quick sprint.  As he neared he saw what the problem was.  The woman from earlier was unconscious and trapped beneath the large tree.  "I am going to need you to calm down.  I can help her."  Cole lightly pushed the girl aside from the tree towards the white tiger in order to get a better look at the situation.  He once again  went to the ground and checked the woman's vitals to make sure it would not be anything in vain.   A small sigh of relief came forth as she was still breathing.

Cole stood back up and took in a deep breath.  Slow foreign words began to mutter from under his breath.  Hands clenched underneath the tree trunk, and dark fog began to emanate from the man.  Little by little the tree began to lift off of the woman, but he made no sign of stopping.  The fog continued to grow around him as the power grew.  It was not often that he called on his fusion, but it was the only way he could save the woman.  In one final push, the tree was thrown off Celeste.  Cole knelt down and checked on the woman again.  "You alright?

Akira lay there, tapping her heels and humming to the rabbit. Neera had perched on her head, red feathers strikingly vibrant against the white hair. She stood as it was scooped by someone she had never met before. He was tall, with lightly tanned skin, steely gray eyes, and black hair with elvish features. The child only knew this because of her relations with Celeste. As the man took the rabbit away, Akira looked around and witnessed the damage dealt by the rabbit.

While it filled her with pride of her accurate assumptions, there was still so much that has happened. Buildings were crumbling, people could still be heard wailing or moaning somewhere within the city. Trees were also in bad shape, some of them had fallen from the force of the explosion. But one detail was allowing fear to take root within the child. Where was Celeste?

”Reika! Celeste?” the child called out, glancing about with wildly upset eyes. How hard could it be to find a white tiger? Alarmed, Akira ran to the red robed, white haired man. She grasped his clothing, about to open her mouth to ask something, only to spy the tiger. ”Reika!” Akira released the man and darted over to the large feline. Underneath a fallen tree, one could see Celeste’s unconscious face. ”Mama?”

Once more, the puca attempted to change her form. Fortunately, it got the form it wanted, that of a dragon. Unfortunately, it was a miniature dragon. ”I’m sorry, Akira, I can’t…” Reika was trying desperately to move the tree with no success. So the child did the only thing she could do. Taking a deep breath, the child screamed at the top of her lungs. ”SOMEONE HELP!”

I was only supposed to collect supplies, he thought to himself.  The trip that was meant to be relaxing had turned into a full out fight that was putting many lives at risk.  The manifested hare was more powerful than what Cole would have expected.  Something was fueling it beyond its own capabilities.  Whatever may be the source or reason, there was no time to think upon it at the moment.  Moving the apparition away from the city and the citizens was the first priority.  The demon hunter could hear the pounding of the rabbit's paws upon the ground behind him.  As they continued to move further from the city, he began to relax a little to the point where he took a split moment to glance over his shoulder.  There was a radiating energy from the hare that was extremely similar to his usual targets of demons.  Something had corrupted this creature to an unavoidable turn.  Cole felt a slight pang of pity for the beast, but not enough where he would not continue to defend himself or others from it.

With a quick application of his toe, Cole halted his progress and twisted around to face the rabbit.  Daggers flicked out to the side as he felt the earth beneath him slide as he finally came to a stop.  Dust flew up behind him as he pushed off to now head towards the creature.  A swipe of a large paw came down that was not difficult to dodge with the hunter's agility.  As he ducked to the low right, both arms lifted high to dig his daggers through the armpit of the rabbit to make it fall to the ground.  Just as quickly as Cole had arrived in the animals vicinity he had pulled away to get distance once again.  Quick movements were key when fighting an opponent that was larger and had the potential for more power than you.

Little time had passed since the rabbit had been downed that  a loud announcement rang out.  There was no magic that Cole could contribute to the rabbit that would a positive direction.  He stood there still at the ready, not wanting to let anything get him by chance.  A giant blast pushed forth that spread across the field and threw all out of its path.  Cole did his best to stay on his feet, but they were knocked out from under him.  Clenching his eyes to the dust, the demon hunter quickly sheathed his daggers.  Knocked over he grabbed for the ground with his hands and push to get his balance once more.  His ears were ringing from the blast, but at least Cole had managed to get back to his feet.  "Is everyone all right?" he called out.

[Admins said to ignore the last three posts]

Reika had been laying within the shade of a tree, deep in a cat nap. Her ears twitched at the myriad of screams and shouts, not paying them any attention. She awaited a single sound, the call of her master. When at last that sharp whistle pierced through the ruckus, the big tiger's head lifted, instantly alert. Large paws found purchase underneath her, muscles rippling as she stood with ease. As a black and white bullet, the tiger began charging through the city.

She had found the master's cub, stirring from an unconscious state. Concerned for the youngling, Reika stuffed her nose against the child's face before giving her a good long lick. Akira groaned as she opened her eyes, to be greeted with another lick, for good measure. Giggling, the child climbed onto her back. "Lets go. Mama that way." Reika had been trained for all sorts of situations. To fight alongside her master, to hunt with master, and to protect the master's cub. If the child was injured or unconscious, it was Reika's duty to get her out of harm's way.

The tiger attempted to turn away from the direction the child pointed. "Reika! No!" Akira yanked fist fulls of fur, forcing Reika to turn. She growled, but knew just as well as Celeste did that the child would simply slide off and run that direction regardless. Caving in, Reika began darting in the direction Akira demanded, Neera flying in chase after them. When they neared the group, Reika stopped a safe distance, only to feel the weighted glare of master upon her.

However, what the lot of them saw was nothing short of amazing. An announcement rang out to all who listened. Akira leaned down and whispered something in Reika's ear, which merely twitched in response. The loud voice requested for everyone to send good magic toward the rabbit, to purify it. This excited the child to no end. While Akira sat upon the tiger's back, concentrating her magic, Celeste was attempting to do the same thing while avoiding any incoming attacks. As all the magic worked, everything seemed to explode, the rabbit being the origin.

Akira was pushed back by the force, bot no where near as bad as Celeste was. Scrambling, the child crawled on all fours with animalistic speed. Yet, it wasn't toward Celeste that she ran. No, the child ran toward the very spot that the rabbit had been standing. When she got there, she laid flat on her stomach, hands under her chin and stared at the small rainbow furred bunny. Whereas the child's curiosity took the child away, the tiger regained her senses and rushed to find her master.

And thus the drilling fell to his knees and waited for the coming or the taking whichever was the will of the gods. While waiting he whispered quietly to his blood sibling " thank you for your help had you not come we may never have stopped this. Blessings from my heart to you sibling. Thank you yet again consider your debt paid in half. ".

With that he settled in to await how ever long be needed for the doing of the gods will.

Flying overhead seeing below a giant rabbit chasing after some valiant warriors and being attacked by a familiar little runt named Ravus Currekk Revelia saw an opportunity to repay a debt which of course could only be truly paid for with his/her life drew it's crossbow and fired a carefully aimed shot to the eye of the rabbit and quickly moved to a new position and shot again at the rabbit's other eye both bolts sunk deep in their designated target locations seeming to give the rabbit momentary pause as a flittering substance leaked from the small pinholes. Seeing the rabbit was only slightly affected it fired four more bolts per eye and also went soaring down to do damage to the rabbit's eyes using it's tail and clawed hands seeking to blind the beast quickly so to begin it's next thought.

As the rabbit became blind it began thrashing and frolicking madly all over thankfully having already gone out of reach of the city and those therein it did only damage to things which could easily regrow although also stuck Ravus multiple times unknowingly. Revelia took this opportunity to take it's dagger and begin a flight motion that would allow it to slice open the rabbit's jugular and as it did so it let out a war shriek like that which dragons do. " Come on the funs just gettin started. Let's rip this creeper limb from limb. Ah heheheheheeee!!! ".

Ravus now seeing his big blood sibling laghed with excitement. " Well that's a relieving thing is it not. My big freak has come and as usual hasn't even said hello. " But knowing battle was needing still to be done decided to give one of his bokken a little more trust then most would and thrust the tip of which deep up into the rabbit's skull hoping it had a brain that once have bleed out enough would cause it to die.

To the surprise of both Ravus and Revelia the beast slid to a halt and fell limp still breathing but imobalized. Not knowing what else to do they simply began carving off and out as many pieces as possible in search of what it was that once removed would kill the thing.

The rabbit now at the mercy of blades Ravus began carving open and soon found where a heart should be instead was a stone if every color and glowing the same across it's suface seemed to be written the wishes of every adventurer and being of whom the gods knew the wishes of or knew had wishes and also every dream ever dreamt and the light seemed to have magic and power to do something which Ravus could only assume was to cause life or exisistance to things which did not exist but without the ability to make a wish come true.

Seeing this he tore it out of the rabbit and with all of his being cried out to the gods " come do with this THING what must be done the rabbit lives no more but that which gave it life is only your's to decide the doing as I can see it is only something you would have knowledge of it's making and power over it's existing. Come and take it and do unto it what will you have in store for it. This sayeth your humbled servant. "

Appearing in the area not of his own doing but by the call to arms going though the world and being one who has no will but the purpose to help all that he can Ravus Currekk knowing only that he was first in the tavern at adeluna but now here looked about and saw a giant rabbit. Immediately he understood the rabbit was the thing he'd been hearing of in the recent travels he'd been doing and so drew both his bokken in preparation to do some serious bashing.

As the rabbit drew near he began taking strong hard attacks directly to any area easily reachable being new to combat with such a large opponent and not knowing what it was that poured from the creatures wounds chose to go directly for those wounds in hopes of working them further open. At the same time he attempted to go unnoticed by the creature having heard another convincing the beast to follow him and immediately assuming this was being done to draw the thing out into an open area away from harm's way. Realizing he was being noticed he decided to begin a game of cat and mouse " wanna play I'll play let's call this game follow the little one. I'll bet you'll enjoy it. " Taunting the rabbit Ravus went here and there attacking the rabbit striking at bruises and cuts that were already exposed giving no break but moving quick as could to keep a satisfying distance and to get the rabbit to chase. " Let's see if he wants to play or just wants to do what he's already been doing… Shall we. "

His eyes glanced up quickly for a split second to see that the elven warriors had lined up around the perimeter of the city. Their armor glistened what was left of the sun. He could tell that they were not going to join in the fight unless the creature came close to the city again. If Cole continued to lead the ethereal away from the city bounds than he was completely on his own. “Damn elves,” he grumbled under his breath. There was no much time for his agitation to take root as the rabbit charged at him with full speed. Pushing off the ground quickly, the hunter was able to narrowly get out of the way. What could he possibly do to bring the situation to a complete end? He did not want to continue to fight the creature. The thing was no demon even if it did give the essence and malevolent intent of one. None of his usual skills would be of use in the situation. What did bring him some solace was that he had been able to sink his blades into the thing. Pain had been brought to it, and that gave some hope that it was not an immortal.

At this point he just wanted to head back to the dessert city and spend time within the cities noble house. Instead, he was fighting off a magical rabbit that was thrashing about. Not a reality he wanted to continue to deal with. Cole continued to dodge the attacks that were thrown at him. The hare attempted to kick, scratch and bite him with great effort. In the meantime he ran out of the way and would show up randomly in different locations that were further and further away from the city.

Flipping his blades in hand, the demon hunter decided to go back on the offensive. Unfortunately his path was blocked by the same small child he had seen early. The threat that had been made earlier from the female elf made more sense now that he saw her in front of him. He had not been quick enough to block the attack. Cole spun the blades multiple times and struck at the beast. He cut it deep where it had used its body to attack the little girl. It cried once more with more anger. The elf woman had joined them to check on the girl that was named Akira. Cole put himself between them and the recovering magic manifestation. He could sense that it was pulling magic from the area into itself to heal the damage that had been done.

“Gather her, and let’s move back. Right now, I’m going to say that she is wrong in her assumption. This thing has all the identifications as an evil expression. If its original purpose was not ill intent, than it has been corrupted. We need to move back while we can.” Cole glanced at her and took in a breath as he tried to think of some sort of plan. “We are enough on the outskirts that they don’t care about this sector. It is all but abandoned, but we need to get further out. Can you get her and make your way back to the soldiers? I seem to be able to piss it off and will have it follow me completely out.” He noticed a coiled rabbit leg was about to lash out their way. In an instant he pushed the woman out of the way so that they would both dodge the attack. “This thing needs to be brought down otherwise the magical circuits will not be healed.” His gray eyes looked at the limp child’s body and he frowned with concern. He needed to get them to safety. “Protect her,” he called out while running headlong at the rabbit.

With little care he jumped high and mid-air kicked with his heel the hare’s face. It gave slightly, but little else was accomplished…besides agitation. “Follow me,” he yelled with a roar. Black shadows began to slowly seep from his body as his anger continued to rise. Children were not to be harmed. White hair began to tinge with black, though it only be the tips. Flipping his blades outwards he ran and slashed at his opponent enough to see magic leak from the wounds. “Get mad.” Cole felt a clawed foot make contact with his shoulder and pierce his skin. He did not wince, but knew his strategy was beginning to work. Turning on his heel he ran away from the city and off towards the open fields. The thundering beats told him that he was being followed. “Come and get me.”

From somewhere deep within Akira's robes, a little chipmunk stirred and poked its head out, rubbing its eyes sleepily. "What's with the jostle?" The child hushed the chipmunk and pushed it back into her clothing. Normally, Neera would not accept such treatment, but there was something in the seriousness of the child that had the puca bite her tongue. Weaving between guards, panicked elves, the child came to an abrupt stop in the clearing. "Big bunny. It looks like a ghost, Neera. But, everyone can see it."

Once more, the puca peeked out, and shuddered at the monstrosity before them. "Why is it here?" "It's been going across the world. Magic gets worse the farther he goes. Akira don't think he want hurt nobody. Just defend himself. People act in fear?" She watched the man she had followed appear under the bunny and struck at a tender spot. A reactional scream tore from her throat as she darted forward impulsively. Granted, he didn't hurt it, just thoroughly pissed it off.

"Stop! Don't attack!" Akira ran forward and planted herself between Cole and the rabbit, arms flayed out wide, defiant to the core. Forget the fact that there was a giant, angry bunny headed right for her. "He just want–" Unfortunately, she did not get the chance to finish her statement, as she was swatted out of the way with a swing of the massive bunny ears as he fell to all four feet. Neera had jumped from the child and attempted to shift into a dragon. However, what she got was a robin, far too small to get Akira to safety.

Celeste had been watching as she tried to get into position for a better shot. With Cole proving the creature's lack of physical form, she did not want to chance hurting anyone with an attack should she need to do something. "AKIRA!" Mama bear was not happy with the danger her child was in. And with the red bird, knowing it for what it truly was, being unable to properly transform, Celeste was at odds. Jumping down next to the child, she checked for vitals then gave a piercing whistle. Taking her stance next to Cole, arrow trained on the creature's face, Celeste reached out with her words to him. "She doesn't want us to hurt it. Thinks it's on a journey to something important. Any plans to get it out of the city?" If they could just get it out there and perhaps stop people from attacking it, the creature could finish what Akira assumes it is trying to do.

Cole weaved his way between the frantic city residents.  With magic feeling as off as it were in the vicinity, he could understand why a species that relied so heavily upon magic would feel as frightened as they were.  The demon hunter felt slightly put off at seeing the normally aloof creatures in such a state.  It was not normal and he had no care to continue seeing it.  Elvish children clung to their mothers as they were carted off in a safer potion of the city.  Cole tightened his grip upon his daggers and could feel the hum of their power rippled up his arms.  The rumors had spoken of the manifestation that was frightening everyone, but rumors were not something to base a plan of attack upon.  There were too many false reports that a proper hunter knew better than risk his life hoping that they were correct.  "It was a good thing that I restocked," he murmured.

Fewer civilians were in the sector of the city he made his way into.  For a moment he stopped in his tracks to make sure his armor and gear was prepped for the battle that was going to happen shortly.  He used the tips of his fingers to tighten the red short overcoat that covered the top of his chest.  It was blessed by his clan and could provide crucial protection in a last minute attack.  No sense in letting it not be secure enough.  There was no telling what was up ahead.  Turning on his heel about to start towards his target once more, he felt a heavy pull upon is elbow.  Cole turned his gray gaze towards the woman who dared to put her hands upon him.  She let go just as quickly as she had grabbed him, but he could sense her threat that made little sense to him.  The demon hunter glared after her as the female elf took off up to the rooftops.  "What the hell?"  Cole did not let anyone touch him save a special few.

Shaking it off, Cole turned back to his path until he could finally see what had everyone frightened.  Magic was in complete disarray around the ethereal rabbit that was throwing its form about.  It was making its way towards the city that had been built to last for ages.  There was no stopping the buildings from taking damage if they were not protected on a physical level.  Ley lines were in complete tangles as the rabbit bounded about throwing off magical strikes in unpredictable directions.  Cole took a moment to look at the scene before him in order to come up with the best strategy.  There was absolutely no way to use magic against the beast as it would do nothing but turn it against the user.  His grip tightened around the hilts of his blades.  He could only hope that this rumor had not reached back to Nymph, and she would not attempt to take part in this battle.

Taking in a slow deep breath, he rolled his neck until small cracks were audible.  "Okay mister hare.  Let us move you away from the city and out into the open a little."  Boots scrapped along the stone pathway as he crouched.  In a flash the hunter was gone and closing the distance between himself and the target.  The rabbit was in the air with legs kicking out to the side as Cole appeared beneath it.  With lifted arms he plunged his blades into the soft underbelly of his prey, which elicited a high pitched scream from the rabbit.  He allowed himself a smirk as he pulled back and got to a safe distance.  Damage had been done, but there was no blood to be seen.  "You are made entirely of magic.  A manifestation brought by something extremely powerful."  Cole crouched again once more with his blades out to the side in wait for the target to focus upon him.  If he could turn the creature away from the city, than it would be easier for the soldiers and himself to get the job down before them.

Brow lifted as the rabbit turned its now angry gaze towards him.  A screech echoed through the air as it began to charge with sparks flying to strike anything that it could.  Maliciousness intent hung in the air to tighten the hunter's chest.  Though it was a magical manifestation, it had the same aura as the demons that Cole fought.  What had brought this creation into being?

"Akira! Slow down!" Practiced eyes scanned the area while feet seemed to stumble, back half bent to follow the lead of the tethered arm. The elf honestly did not like how there were hundreds of screams, guards were rushing in the same direction. Magic did not feel like it was going to be easy to use here, chaotic and volatile. Something had mixed its meddling fingers into the very core of it all, wiggling them to create the ripples, wresting control from the benders of the dangerous power of magic.

There was no other choice, Celeste forced Akira to stop, placing her hands on her shoulder. The child looked over her shoulder with a very disappointed face. "But the bunny…" "It could be dangerous. Feel the air around you. Do you sense it? The chaos? You're too young to fight. Those screams are not something a child should run to." Akira gave a fierce, defiant glare to the elf. "What if they need healing?" It wasn't that the child didn't listen, she just didn't quite understand. She was the child of a god. While it did not affect her attitude in any manner, Celeste had to wonder how much she took after him.

Maybe the more chaotic the situation was, the more at home Akira felt? Despite the fact that the foxling was merely six years old, there was no talking her out of it. "I follow that man," she pointed to a white haired man with dual swords who had just passed them a minute ago. Yanking herself out of Celeste's grasp, Akira turned and chased him, slipping from sight as she became invisible. "Fenehdis! Akira!" With no other option, Celeste drew her bow and darted after him. Keeping pace, the elf turned her face to him. "If you see my stubborn white haired foxling child, keep her safe! Or I will kill you." The threat hung in the air, deadly serious as the elf jumped and nimbly climbed onto the rooftops, following as close as she could. Here she had the vantage, and perhaps she could see the child eventually.

Arrow was notched, bunny in sight. Someone did not take heed of the magical tension, the chance of things backfiring. Lightning was cast in the direction of the bunny, but shot straight for her. Ducking, the elf cursed again, barely avoiding the crackling electricity. Her accuracy was spot on as her arrow was loosed, striking the stone at the mages feet before them. "Felasil! Don't use magic!" she screamed.

Talk of a magical manifestation in the shape of a rabbit had spread across the land, but it did not interest Cole in the slightest.  He walked in the city of Maeron to get a new set of supplies for the next mission that he had been set on.  If it was not an order from his clan, than Cole made not effort to get involved unless absolutely necessary.  At this point, the creature had been sighted on the island he was presently on.  Though it was not too far from his own location the demon hunter made no deterrents from collecting his what supplies were necessary.  It was going to be quite a trip from where he was currently.  The only reason he tolerated the attitudes towards him was due to that he found some of the best potions in the elven city.  If it was to save his life later on it was worth the extra effort to get them.  The hunter scratched the back of his white haired head as he contemplated the possible purchase he was about to make.  He needed some new vials to make his next set of potions, but there were only certain kinds that could handle the potent alchemy.  Gray eyes glanced up from his selection to check the merchant that normally was huffing for him to hurry up.  This time he found a scared elf man pressing his back against the wall with wide eyes.  Cole lifted a white brow as he examined the elf.  Rolling his eyes, Cole dropped silver on the table and walked out with his selection.

In the middle of the city he could see elves frantically whispering to one another or running off to take cover.  There were some of the city guards that were marching their way off towards where the demon hunter could only assume was where the rabbit had taken up residency.  Cole shook his head and put the vials in his pack before moving on.  As he attempted to further shop he realized that there was no point.  The city was no turning into panic instead of the usual calm.  He let out a heavy sigh as he changed course to follow the armored guards.  The magic in the air changed drastically to the point that Cole would not have felt comfortable using it in fear of it backfiring dangerously in his face.  Drawing his duel blades, Cole went from a calm walk into a slight jog.  As he did he passed a young girl that was yelling about the bunny.  Hopefully she wasn't going to get pulled into a fight if that was what was about to break out.

All dressed in white and ready to play, eager really. She was literally quivering with anticipation as a mage was starting his spell of transportation. "I get why the rabbit is hunted. It's throwing magic out of whack. But why you're taking a child into possible danger as rumor says it's getting worse the closer it gets to Sidhiel, I'll never understand." "Because I died and now she's glued to my hip." Celeste said dryly, to which Akira giggled. "Akira be fine! Been in worse before." "Do I want to know?" "Nope!"

The child was all too giddy and chipper. As the woman shook her head the portal was ready. Paying the man, the pair stepped through to find themselves right on the docks of the main city of Maeron. "Wow! It pretty!" The entire place was of elvish design, and Celeste instantly wanted to leave. This was far too reminiscent of her home, yet far more settled and open than home would ever be. Her people were seclusive, murdering bastards. Excitedly, the child grabbed Celeste's hand and started dragging her further in. "Bunny! Bunny!"

No, the child was not regressing in her speech. She was actually doing much better, and was less broken than before. Having had no one to care for her, she had to learn by imitating others, and pirates were not the best role models. Screams were heard a short distance away. Naturally… That is where the fox child was dragging the elvish rosenite.
