Golden eyes watched carefully as Aikane moved a few paces back away from her awkward closeness. Inka pushed herself up so that she was now standing, rather than kneeling. Her wild hair fell endlessly around her in a giant untamed mess, the trinkets, beads, and other junk talismans which littered it made quite the racket as she moved this time. Inka understood that not all, not many, liked their personal space invaded and although she knew this she tended to forget. Alkanes reaction to her was pretty standard so Inka ignored it and for now allowed Aikane her space.
"Is fine, space and all." Inka sort of half smiled at Aikane. She was glad to see that she had understood her explanation of what the "nether" was. "You are wise not to be so trust worthy" Aikane wasn't wrong there was much evil in this world and others, and not all she would meet would have pure and kind intentions. Yet even the kindest you had to be wary of, sometimes they were not any better.
"But no worry - I intend no harm." Inka was a rather kind and gentle soul - unless provoked - however, she highly doubted Aikane would be the sort of start any problems with her. Golden eyes moved to glance off towards the great body of water that met with the soft sands beneath her feet. Inka was a rather strange oddity - spacey and times - but with good reason.
"Ayye. I use magics" Another half smile. Those golden eyes of hers closed for a long moment before they would open again. "I use Voodoo, Hoodoo, Mojo…Magic of the dead". Inka was a Witchdoctor after all, shaman like, and her magic was rather unique to her kind. She communed with the dead and they would lend to her what she needed at the time. Her brews, and potions were just part of what she could do. All special and uniquely powerful in their own ways.

"I can show you." Once golden hues had reopened. This time, however, the golden rings of her eyes along with their dark pupils had become glazed over - vanished and replaced by nothing but pure whiteness. A soft bluish glow emitted from them - these were the eyes of one who walked with the spirits.

Aikane was patient as she waited for Inka to find the right way to explain the answer to her question. She nodded at the end of the woman's words, though she understood when Inka explained that it was the space between life and death. "Oh, yes," she said in response to Inka's question. "I am currently learning to use arcane magic in order to protect myself, because I know not all are as friendly as those I've met so far. But soon enough I will learn to use holy magic, so that I may heal myself and others that need it." Aikane slightly stiffened as the other woman moved in closer to her, chuckling awkwardly as she scooted some paces away. "Sorry, I have a thing for personal space." She paused, thinking of something to say to ease the newfound uneasiness she felt as Inka had invaded her personal bubble. "Do you use any magics? Or do you simply make potions?"

Inka tipped her head slowly to the side, she had never been asked to explain the nether. She had taken a long moment to think of a way that she could best explain it. "Nether Is like world between here and there - space between life and death." Inka had began moving her hands around as she spoke In soft rotations - Inka was quite the gesture maker when it came to describing things. "It is not here and it is not there but the Nether is everywhere". Inka moved her hands so they motioned to everything around them. "It cant be seen by regular eye." Inka smiled lightly as best she could as she dropped her hands back down to her pack.

"You use magic?" One of her brows arched as she questioned her. Her long boney fingers which were also adorned by random rings and loops worked at the latch which sealed the main part of her pack shut. "What magic you use?" Inka moved in such away that she had rocked herself from an indian style type position onto her knees, so she was rather close to Aikane - Inka sniffed the air around her - yes she was an odd woman. "Arcane? Elemental? Light?"

So much for personal space, eh?

Aikane watched as Inka moved her pack into her lap and then took hold of a trinket that looked like a small bone. It made sense when Inka said it was the bone of a bird, and Aikane raised her eyebrows with interest as the woman said it helped spirits soar through the nether. "The nether? What is that?" she asked, having never heard of it before. She was also a tad jealous of the woman's talismans and trinkets, wishing she had some of her own to spruce up her look. In time, she thought to herself, as she figured now that she moved away from her home and would come across new things and experiences all the time, eventually she must pick up some interesting trophies to carry around on her person to prove she was well-traveled. But that would take time, and she'd only been away from home for about two weeks.

Off in the distance in the ocean, she saw a fin pop out from the surface of the water just before disappearing back under it as soon as it had appeared. This caused her to smile, as she recognized the sea animal to be a dolphin. She'd always admired dolphins, as they were intelligent, caring creatures. Sometimes she dreamed of what it was like to live under the sea, as it had its own fair share of wonders and beautiful sights. Aikane looked back to Inka then, as the woman had probably started talking by that point.

Inka observed as she removed her shoes. Inka had never understood shoes and found them rather annoying. Inka cleared her throat before shed speak again - her hands moved along a few of her trinkets and talismans. They all did mean something, each one helped in its own way when she communed with the spirits. Inka dropped her hands a reached for her pack.
"Some do some do not." Once Inka grabbed ahold of her pack she moved it into her lap. Inka then grabbed one of the longer softer looking trinkets that dangled from her long auburn hair. this one looked like ivory, or some kind of bone. It had runes or marking carved into it - Inka held it outwardly so it was more visible.

"This one is bone of a bird - it helps the spirits sore through the nether". The nether was the area between here and there it was like a world between worlds where spirits could come and go and where some stayed and dwelled. Those were the ones she typically called upon. Once Aikane got a good look at it she dropped it so it retook its place lost within her hair.

"Most of these I made others gifted others passed down through tribe" Inka shrugged her shoulders. These items were very special to her they were part of what made her who she was. She also liked how they looked.

Aikane nodded in understanding as Inka spoke. She found it intriguing that the woman traveled rather than stay in one place and call it home. It sounded fun, having a new place to live every now and then. She wouldn't mind living in different parts of the world every couple of years herself. When living in a mediocre town in Lemuria, there wasn't much to see or many interesting people to talk to. World travel would definitely keep off the boredom. Maybe when she was finished with school, she could achieve this dream.

Taking her hands out of the sand and wiping the sand off them beside her, on the opposite side of where Inka was so that she didn't get sand on the woman, she moved to take off her shoes as well, as her feet were getting sweaty and she wanted to get more comfortable. "Where did you get those talismans from? Do they mean anything?" she asked, looking back to Inka and scrutinizing one of the pieces.

Inka watched as she sat. After a few long moments Inka copied her and found herself a place in the sand away from the water so she did not get wet. Inka truly enjoyed the feel of the beaches sand against her skin; there was nothing like this where she was from.

"I am from here and there."  Inka was a nomad and she came from a tribe which were also nomadic. She really did not come from "any"" place in particular seeing as her tribe, the one she had come from, belonged no where really. "We travel never stay never bother always moving" Inka nodded her head firmly. However, by the looks of her she came from somewhere that had a lot of sun - her skin was tan and her clothing had ben designed to help keep her cool.

"Aikane" Inka repeated her name - this usually helped her remember how it was pronounced. Her eyes danced across the sands towards the water. "Lemuria sounds like home" minus the green anyway, her lands were more dry.

Aikane could tell by Inka's accent that the common tongue was not her first language. This only made the woman more interesting; Aikane looked for great diversity in friends, so she could learn all the more from them. "My name is Aikane. Where are you from?" she asked. As she recognized Inka's relaxed form, she mirrored it by sitting down in the sand near her. "I, myself, am from the land of Lemuria. It sees few cold months, and many warm ones. It's a beautiful place; very green." Aikane put her hands in the sand and let the sand settle between her fingers. The beach reminded her of home, and the familiar feel of sand was comforting.

Inka's odd yellow gaze followed the girls movements; she had yet to feel threatened by her so her posture was still extremely relaxed. One of her hands lifted up to her nice, where her long boney fingers would wrap around one of her many stone talismans.

"thank you" Now inka knew moderate amount of common speak - she was still learning, teaching herself while she traveled. She liked to think she was learning rather quickly - yet at times when she was unsure of what to say or how to say things her common became very broken and heavily accented.
"Brews…special brews" Inka responded to her question regarding the water she had been previously collecting. Brews were very important to a witch doctor like Inka - they helped make her powerful.

"Name?" Inka tilted her head towards her right shoulder. "I am Inka".

"What kind of potions are you collecting that water for?" Aikane asked. Now that she was closer, she looked over the woman's interesting trinkets, including the bones, loops, beads and talismans. She found them intriguing, and wanted to get a closer look. After determining the woman wasn't a threat by her body language and tone of voice, she took a step closer. "I like those… decorations, for lack of a better word, you have on your person." She smiled at her, in case the woman felt weird about Aikane's sudden interaction. She wanted to show she was friendly and non threatening just the same. "They're really pretty."

One…two…three….six! she had managed to fill six of her vials with water - corks secured she began to stuff them safely into another pocket of her pack. It was around this time when she heard movement - someone had approached or was approaching. Strange yellow eyes glanced to the side, she was still crouching down near the rolling waves - a girl was now near. Various bones, loops, beads, and other strangle talismans dangled from various parts of her hair, clothes, wrists and neck. They jingled, clanked and rattled with each movement she made; Inka pushed herself up into a stand. She was still not directly facing the girl; she felt more secure this way.

"Hello" Inka had spoke softly considering the distance between them did not require much more. Her bare feet were slowly sinking into that sand which each wave that rolled over them. She had flung her pack back over her shoulder returning it to its usual resting spot and keeping it high above the water - there were somethings hidden away within that she rather did not get wet.

Aikane noticed something in the corner of her eye, causing her to look up from her book and over at the figure. It didn't seem as though they were here for anything malicious, as they seemed to be minding their own business. She saw this as an opportunity to make a new friend, and found she was getting tired of reading over spells anyway. Putting a mark in her book, she closed it and put it back into her backpack before standing and walking towards the person on the beach. As she drew closer, she noticed it had a womanly figure, and as she came even closer she was able to make out more details about them. They seemed to be taking samples of the water in vials to put away in a bag similar to her own.

"Greetings!" Aikane called, continuing to walk until she stopped at a distance that was far enough away to be safe but close enough to speak to each other without having to raise their voices too much. Although everyone she'd met so far had been friendly, she wasn't so naive as to believe everyone had good in their hearts.

Traveling was something she had become very good at as of late. From the distance swamp lands, through a vast forest, across incredible plains and even through a city- She somehow she managed to end up here at the coast. It had been so many years since she had last seen the coast or even since she had stepped foot upon a beach for that matter - feet that were always bare had found their way into the soft sands which were dampened by the periodic waves which rolled in and out.

She had once again shoved her strange mask of bone deep within her medium sized backpack; hiding this usually helped keep who/what she was a secret a bit longer when she encountered strangers and she found this to be helpful. Strange yellow eyes gazed out over the water and after a long moment she bent at the knees throwing herself down into a squat. Dirty hands reached out and cupped together so that they caught some of the next wave; which she brought up and splashed upon her face.

Inka was an odd duck and she quite enjoyed the way the salt water tasted upon her lips. The cool ocean water also was cool and made her refreshed. Just before the next wave came she had managed to dig a few vials from her alchemist kit out of the frontal pockets of her pack. Salt water was good for her brews; so she used these vials to capture some while she was here. Her brews was the main purpose she had become a nomad - travel always took her to new or strange places; these places had always been fruitful for her and for her brews.

As Aikane walked with a hand on the hilt of one of her shortswords, she hummed quietly to herself and looked around at the scenery the island of Srendnyimor had to offer. There were tall, skinny trees littered about the mixed sandy, grassy land, and small animals that fled when she drew closer, further into the island. She sat for a time and looked out over the sea where you could see the City of Wyllmochvar, where she had trained at the Mage Academy for a short while before deciding to take a terse break to explore the nearby land. At the academy, she learned how to create fresh water from thin air and a few defensive spells to keep her safe on her travels. She planned to travel a lot, being one to appreciate the ability to observe new things and have new experiences.

Sitting and enjoying the sounds of the local birds and the crashing of the waves on the shore, she took the backpack from her back and pulled an apple out of it, taking a large bite. The temperature of the island was a tad hot, with only a few clouds in the sky. She was seated under one of the trees, though it provided only a little shade, she was grateful. The apple she was enjoying was sweet and juicy as well, and she couldn't help feeling content with where she was. Aikane then pulled out a book to study some of the spells she was going to learn over the next week, slowly finishing her apple as she read.
