It's hard to tell what Jake was more shocked by, the fact that Silanius knew some orcish, or that he knew the song that the bard was singing. "You've got keen ears, your mother taught you well Silanius. Usually when I play that song most people don't know the words they simply like how it sounds." The orcish language was an oddity. Usually when a language dies it's because the culture or people have either died, or the language had altered enough to be unrecognizable. The Orcs however simply abandoned their tongue for that of humans. From what Jake had been told it had been done for the sake of convenience. Though this led to a lot of the orcish classics, they're songs and stories to nearly die out. "It's a truly awful thing to think about how in a few generations all the great old orc songs might be completely gone." Jake thought for a moment then smiled. "Though that just gives all the more reason to sing them so loudly the heavens will hear our singing."

Hmm what to play what to play, I know the tale of Gorthamuk. The tale of Gorthamuk was a orcish story through and through. It tells of an orcish warrior who's mate and child was killed during a raid by a rival tribe. So in order to get revenge he went out on a quest to destroy this tribe. "Let's see how well your mother taught you Silanius. I'm gonna sing the first part of this and then you're going to tell me the next line". "3 2 1 There lived an orc with teeth of iron and a will of steel, and anyone who saw him was filled with fear."

Silanus smiled and said; "Very well, follow me…" The young man walked to the big dead troll, and he did put his hand inside one of the troll's wounds, leaving his hand completely covered in blood, now he said: "Worry not! The foul smell of this beast's blood will scare other dangers, so our voyage shall be safe!"

Silanus began to walk, listening carefully to the bard's song… His rat Galea was with him, it seems that she enjoyed the song. .

When Silanus listened to Jake's last verse of the song, he was surprised… He somehow knew that song… It was in an ancient language, but which one… Was it… Of course! An orchish song! The orcs that allied the Fratis years ago. That tongue became extint after the orc tribes united and all started talking human languages… Even if it is not THAT old, very few humans know the tongue…

Before Jake could finish a verse, Silanus sang, in the old orchish tongue: "And the man did not fear, when he began to hear, the wise man's stories with his eaaaar!"

Silanus laughted while walking… He suddenly felt healthier than before, he felt the pain that the troll caused, simply dissapear… Singing is great. He said to Jake: "Silanus' mother was a great skald, you know? She taught him many songs and poems…"

Jake was left in shock after hearing Silanius's tirade having not expected it to come out of the blue as it had. Not wanting to offend the bard just sort of sat there for a minute eating his food. After he had finished his food Jake attempted to stand up and fumbled. Looking around he used the nearby rock to help himself up. This fatigue was going to last for a while as he had used a lot to cast that lightning spell. "Well then I suppose we had better not keep your kinsmen waiting, shall we Silanius" Jake couldn't say he was looking forward to going as the terrain around Wyllmochvar could be quite obnoxious to travel. Interest in meeting the remnants of this clan had steeled his resolve, plus Jake's original plan involved a hike anyway so why not. He just hoped that the other members of the clan were more mentally together than Silanius.

Jake rifled through the bag which had his food in it, I should have enough he thought. "I suppose you should lead the way as I haven't the faintest idea as to where we're going, should be fun though". Efforts were made by Jake to hide just how tired he was he was as he didn't want to hold Silanius up by asking for him to wait until the fatigue had passed. By this point he was able to stand upright with little issue so what was a little hike. In order to take his mind off, well really everything Jake pulled out his song and began playing an old travellers song a man had taught him that is song in an old dead tongue.

Silanus answered Jake´s second question inmediately: "Simple, Silanus must go where the city ends. The Fratis should not be seen, few people trust us those days… It is not an easy path the one Silanus has to follow." A quick answer for an easy question, of course; now, the first question the bard asked Silanus would be a little hard to answer, why should he allow a stranger to see the hidden camp of the Remnants? Tacitus Silanus is a very paranoic man, sometimes he trusts people, sometimes he doesn´t…

Silanus removed his heavy helmet and looked around, hoping that his rat Galea had returned to him, he wouldn´t leave her alone in a forest, Silanus loves that rat. However, Galea was nowhere to be seen, so Silanus dropped a piece of bread to the ground, perhaps now she would smell it and come… The armored warrior dropped his steel helmet to the ground and with his arm the cleaned his dirty face, being thrown to the ground by a raging troll surely gets you dirty… After that, he answered to Jake: "The Remnants of the Fratis are not your typical clan of people, long ago,  the Fratis were not a simple clan, but THE clan. It had numerous legions at it´s armies, many allies and of course, enemies. Silanus´father commanded the main legion, against the whole Vipamolan coast, they were impure, they had to be obliterated from OUR land. The Fratis wanted to form a Republic and claim the Coast, and then, expand our place and, if we were powerful enough, we could have even conquered the whole known world!" Silanus stopped talking for a small moment, he looked down and continued talking…

"They were not pure, not like us, not like the Kelonians! For a member of the Fratis, the kelonians are sacred, it´s a damn shame they don´t walk everywhere like impure people do. You know what a kelonian is? An ancient civilization, soon you will learn the way of the kelonians… Soon you will learn the ONLY way… Of course, pirate lords did not like the idea of some, "crazy cultists" to claim the island, so they hired thousands of mercenaries and beasts to erase us from "their" land. Bah, how could some stupid mercenaries defeat the MIGHTY Fratis? If it wasn´t for the pirate´s coffers full of gold, we could have easily conquered the place, but they dislike fair battles. They bought WYVERNS! With their beasts, our legions and our socii allies were… Murdered. Now, we, the Remnants, will CLAIM what is OURS!"

It seems Silanus did not want to speak about the valkyries topic, so he finished the conversation. His rat Galea arrived, ate the bread and then climbed to the man´s shoulder… After that, he grabbed his helmet, stood up and said to Jake: "Want to see Silanus´kin? Then follow me, Jake…"

Jake leaned up against a rock and thought for a moment. Fratis, Fratis he felt like he knew the name but couldn't recall from where he'd heard it. Had, he heard it somewhere, no maybe he'd read about it, no that wasn't it either, hmm perhaps he'd heard songs sung of them, that seems likely but he couldn't remember any songs. Now Valkyries were creatures Jake did know about, they carried warriors into the afterlife if they're slain in battle. What had made some corrupted and hunt Silanius and his kin he was unsure. Though answers to that question could come later, for now the young bard decided he might as well accompany Silanius to see these creatures for himself. "If it's help you're looking for I could accompany you to your destination. My interest is piqued by these corrupted Valkyries; do you have any idea why they're chasing you?"

"And by North of Wyllmochvar do you mean they reside in the northern part of the city or north of where the city ends?" This question would decide the path they took. As just going to the northern Wyllmochvar was relatively easy, but the terrain surrounding the city can be quite harsh. Which was one of the many reasons it was so hard to siege it.

Silanus sat in a nearby rock, and dropped his heavy backpack to the ground. Where was his rat Galea now? Apparently, it escaped in fear when it saw the troll, not to blame though… Hopefuly she would return to his master. Silanus smiled when Jake offered him the apple and the piece of bread to him, he took them and said: "Why, thank you for this. Some free food is always welcome! Hopefully no more mountain trolls for us, they usually wander alone. Well, Silanus is in Wyllmochvar for a very specific reason, Jake… Silanus hopes he can trust in you, well… Some… Corrupted valkyries are chasing Silanus since a looong time, friend…" Silanus stopped talking and gave began to eat the loaf of bread the bard gave to him earlier, when he finished it he cleaned his mouth with his arm…

Silanus continued talking: "Those corrupted valkyries are chasing Silanus since a very long time, and they won´t rest until they see him in pieces… So poor little Silanus is going to the north of Wyllmochvar, to find his brothers and sisters… So togheter we shall prepare for the valkyries´arrival… Silanus is part of a clan, an ancient clan named the Fratris… Or atleast we are it´s former shadow, some call us the remnants of the Fratris."

Jake stood still for a minute after he cast the spell, his legs felt like they had been filled with lead and he was suddenly very hungry. Though none of this was surprising as this always happened after he used magic, Jake had never been formally in use of magic as he instead chose to become a bard so while he could use magic it used a lot of magic to cast any spell and afterward he'd be extremely tired and hungry. So it at first didn't quite register when this Silanus fellow asked for his name, though he quickly realized the fact and not to be rude he said "My name is Jake and yes we do, though in all honesty I prefer to avoid confrontation with mountain trolls." he said with his regular toothy grin going along his face. "So what brings you to Wyllmochvar my friend?" The man before him looked like either a soldier or a mercenary, though his speaking habits were strange. At this point Jake sat down, because it was either that or wait another minute for his legs to give out, "this never gets any easier" he muttered to himself. Jake pulled a loaf of bread and two apples out of his backpack, he split the loaf of bread in half and gave one of the halves and an apple to the man. Jake then began playing an old drinking song, the first one his teacher had ever taught him.

Silanus saw how the bard used some magical spells through his lute and shot an electric attack against the troll's back. Even if Silanus hated magic and felt a great disgust for mages, he had to admit the stranger did a good enough attemp to kill the deadly beast. The electric bolt knocked the troll, making him even angrier than before…

It would have been a perfect shot for Silanus if he had any projectiles, however, the madman simply forgot his spear… How unlucky… The troll left Silanus in the floor and roared at Jake, the beast was just about to charge at the bard, who knows what would have happened if it did, luckily for both people, Silanus stabbed the troll's left leg with his steel pugio, a long and thick dagger Silanus usually wears. Followed by that, he quickly stood up, even if he was wounded, and slashed the troll's back two times, then did the deadly and last blow… He pierced through the mountain troll's stomach, killing it and splashing blood everywhere… Silanus, now covered with troll blood, looked at Jake and said: "Greatly done, greatly dooone! You and Silanus make a good team! Shall you tell Silanus your name?"

After rushing over and seeing the man, who he could only assume his name was Silanius yell at him about playing his lute. Jake pulled out the instrument, thankfully the trolls full attention was on the armored man known as Silanius. Jake took a moment to think of a song, before coming up with a more interesting idea Jake began playing a short tune. As he hit each note the air began to crackle around him, energy began pulsing out of the silver trim of his lute. Soon blue bits of electricity began to take shape around Jake before spinning around the young bard. Finally as he hit the last note all of the electrical energy that had been stored suddenly shot out from his lute and hit the sword that Jake had thrown into the troll. The troll was nearly knocked off it's but the area around the blade Jake had used for a lightning rod was almost pure black. Jake however now was in a bit of a bind, while trolls do tend to focus on one prey at a time, he had a feeling they made exceptions for creatures that shot lightning at him. Casting that spell had also taken a lot out of him as he rarely used his magic. Jake combed his hands through his hair "Is that satisfactory lute playing for you".

The rat quickly jumped off his owner's shoulder and hid in Jake's bag, and started to eat his food.

When Silanus saw that a fellow traveler was running, trying to help, he imagined that the help would be a little more… Helpful….. The mountain troll ignored the Bard, sibce this type of troll usually fights one "prey" at a time. The beast scratched and hit Silanus' shield with it's mighty, strong arms. The mad "soldier" could barely hold his shield, he often pushed the troll with it or move it a bit, so he could try to stab the beast…

No matter what Silanus tried, he could not do the perfect hit and kill the raging troll since it moved a lot and avoided being hit. However, when the troll tried to hit Silanus once again, he bashed his shield and hit it's face, lowering the beast's defence… That was when Silanus stabbed it deep in the torso, hoping to cut through the troll's lung… But, that did not happen, the sword hit against a rib… Trolls have extremely hard bones, so even if the troll felt a great pain and lost blood, Silanus' hit was not deadly. The beast was now furious, and eager to murder the madman, so it gave a strong headbutt followed by a fast scratch in the arm and a hit in the ribs… Silanus was now in the ground, bleeding, and the troll was about to kill him, but Silanus said to Jake: "Y-you there! Don't you just stand there, play your lute! Or do you want poor Silanus to die?! Lute's lovely sound calm trolls!

((OOC: Sorry about the late response been having some writers block.))

As Jake was about to set off on his little journey he quickly took a look around and saw a man he looked like a mercenary. Mostly due to the fact that he was heavily armored and appeared to be carrying a few weapons, more interestingly though was upon closer inspection the man had a rat on his shoulder. Jake began walking towards this man before he heard a bellowing scream come from nearby as a mountain troll thundered down from a nearby pass towards the armored man. Jake sighed and put the bag which held all of his food into his pack and drew his blade and headed over and try and help the man. While he was running Jake thought of something, and that something was completely idiotic which is why he proceed to throw his sword at and get it to just barely stick into the troll, doing no real damage. Jake then pulled out his lute, and said to the man "well aren't we just the luckiest men alive, having to fight a god damn mountain troll." He said trying to think about what to do next.

Oh, how pleasing it was for Silanus to travel everywhere, from Canelux to the outlands, he would go everywhere just to meet new people, assassinate some mages, buy interesting things or just to collect memories. So, today he was in Wyllmochvar, seeking for some adventure… He was with his pet rat, little Galea, who was resting on his shoulder. Silanus had enough food and water for himself and Galea, that would last atleast two days. He was, as usually, wearing his steel plate armor and both his gladius sword and his big, square shield. Also, in his bag he had a tambourine; Silanus´pet liked the sound of the tambourine late at night, that´s why he brought it with him… Silanus could see a man at the distance, he then walked towards him with the unique intention of meeting him, to know if he was worth to talk with, or was just a mere nobody.

Silanus walked a little faster, it was hard because of his heavy equipment, but he was getting used to it, after all, the burdens of armor are not heavy after the burdens of training. When Silanus was getting closer, another silhouette appeared. At first, Silanus thought it was another man, but later he found out that it could not be a human, nor an elf… Not even an orc. It was bigger, had bulky, long arms and it looked like it was hairy… The creature gave a mighty roar before quickly sprinting towards Silanus, it was a troll. A mountain troll! One of the most fearsome kinds of trolls, the cave troll has big, sharp claws able to tear even rocks, a thick fur that could resist blunt weapons or even sharp weapons, some strong teeth that could break bones and finally a mighty streght. Those creatures were able to even lift a man and break him in two. The troll´s roar could be heard miles away… When Silanus finally understood he was dealing with a beast, he raised his shield and unsheated his sword, preparing for the troll´s attack…

Jake dropped a few silver into a shopkeepers hand before leaving with a small woolen bag the shopkeeper handed him, containing the food he had purchased. It was a crisp morning in Wyllmochvar, it had rained the previous night which had left the city seemingly fresh. Jake began walking briskly towards the walls, he had hoped to get up early and get out of the city before the streets were filled with people. Though that was a fools proposition from the beginning though since he had spent most of the previous night playing music for coin and a room in a tavern. Though it did take him a fair bit of time he managed to weave his way through the city streets and make his way outside the walls.

Once he had made it outside Jake decided to attempt to walk from the mountain path exit all the way to the sea port entrance of Wyllmochvar. A journey that while not particularly long would probably take at least a day of constant walking. Which Jake didn't mind as he needed to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, having grown up mostly in a small farming town the city while a great place to practice is profession, and to meet people he did need to take a break from it all. Which is what today was going to be, so he slung the bag of food he had purchased over his shoulder and said "Well let's get to it."
