Aven followed Hakon out with a grin. "I don't see what's wrong with a bit of spoiling, after all, you only deserve the best, Haki." He clasps his hand in hers, beginning their journey into the new world. Would it bring happiness or sorrow? Fulfillment or tragedy? Only time would tell, but as sure as the warmth of the hand he held beside him, Aven knew he wouldn't trade it for the world. "Show you the world? With pleasure, my love."

Hakon, now long since passed her discomfort within the whirling blackness that made up her dearest love's power- relaxed and sighed softly," You always spoil me so- Always finding something wrong with my clothes to replace it with shadows-silk," she scolds gently, pressing her lips to his cheek nonetheless. Her cherry lips curled onto a loving smile as she briefly pressed her face into his short ivory hair, hugging him warmly in her arms before releasing him and taking several small steps back, balancing upon the balls of her feet as she makes her way slightly down the hallway, extending her hand," Come- show me this beautiful new world,"

Aven glanced at Hakon, momentarily awestruck by the sight of his love in normal clothing, her hair released from it's normal braid and cascading down over her shoulders as a platinum-blonde river. When the moment passed, however, he noted her worn garb. He brought his hand to his mouth, making a 'tsk tsk' noise with his tongue. "No, no, I won't have my lovely wife gallivanting around a new world in little more than rags. Your armor, it was ruined, wasn't it?" He thought for a few seconds. "Give me a moment." He disappeared into his shadow, zooming along the ground to reach the room where the armor sat. With a touch of his hand, then material turned pitch black, disintegrating and flowing into his shadow as dark matter. He made his way back out of the building with a thoughtful look, wondering what kind or clothing would be best suited for Hakon. As he reemerged, he snapped his fingers. The cloak was is good enough shape, he could work off the green.

Placing a hand on Hakon's shoulder, Aven gave her a sly wink. "Hold still a moment, love." Dark particles swirled up from behind Aven and around Hakon, concealing her from view of any onlookers. Within the vortex, her old, worn clothes were replaced by a silky fabric underneath the cloak, which remained untouched. When the storm of particles receded, she was in a beautiful green gown, the hem of which rested just above ground height. Aven smiled wider, nodding his approval. "Perfect!"

Hakon watches him leave with a warm smile, her eyes flickering uncertainly to the armor- it was dented, twisted almost beyond repair. She would have to replace it- exhaling gently, she placed it aside, donning the dirtied and sweat stained tunic as well as the linen pants and boots. She paused, holding the emerald green and deep black cloak in her hands, gazing down at the insignia of Connlaoth with a far away gaze… She hoped to never go home, but could she call this place its replacement?

Shaking her head gently, she swept the cloak about her shoulders, fastening it above her throat before brushing her hands through her hair to untangle the platinum knots. Hakon idly strode from the room, offering him a loving smile," Shall we go?"

Aven smiles warmly at her touch. "We're going to be more than fine, I promise." He stands at her query, rounding the corner of the stall, where her armor was neatly stacked. He heaved the mass of metal into his arms, carrying it over and sectioning it out on the cot. "I'll be waiting outside for you, Haki, don't be too long! We have so much to do, and only so much time in a day!"

Blowing her a kiss as he left, Aven exited into the hallway, making his way toward the entrance as the smile dropped from his face. He could feel a gaze upon him, he was being watched by something powerful. To what end, he couldn't determine, though it did not feel hostile. However, telling Hakon would only cause her worry, there wasn't anything he could do to block divination. What are these Gods?

She smiles, folding her hand over his as she echoes," 'The three of us'," it felt almost surreal, no… Ah- that wasn't the correct word. 'Ethereal'? Yes- ghostly, rose-colored, delicate and utterly perfect. She reached up with her other hand, running her fingers gently through his hair as she gently swayed to and fro," We'll be… Just fine, won't we?" She murmurs softly, turning her head to press her lips tenderly to his cheek before slowly, unsteadily standing, still keeping the blanket somewhat wrapped around her due to the lack of anything but underclothes to assist her.

" ah- do you know where they took my armor, dearest?"

Aven thinks for a moment, then begins to chuckle, escalating into along bought of laughter. He turns to Hakon. "Just think, the two of us, a stalwart revolutionary and a retired military General, working civilian's jobs and raising a child together. The idea is so fantastic, it's almost laughable!" He leans into Hakon, resting his head on he shoulder. "We've been through absolute insanity, you and I, but I'd venture to say the craziest part of our lives so far is that it all worked out. I'll admit, it is a bit surreal, but as long as you can hold me like this, none of that matters." He looks up into her eyes. "All that matters is we're together." A quick glance down brings a slightly wider smile to his face, and he places a hand over her stomach. "All three of us."

She blinks and stares out him,"… Are you…. Sure?" The whole concept seemed utterly alien to her, all her life she had prayed to a faceless God who's hand and fist she had commanded. A creature thats existance was highly questionable but for the responsibility that belief laid upon her and the curse of His heavy handed policies. She lay back, staring at the ceiling before pressing her hand to her forehead," If we meet a God, we should ask them why we are here- but until then-" she sits up and swings her legs off the bed, cradling him lovingly in her arms as she kisses Aven's cheek warmly,"- I will need to find work and we need a place to stay, dearest-"

Aven chuckles at her assertion. "I'll be right alongside you in that endeavor." Then, however, Hakon posed a surprisingly harrowing question, one that Aven did not immediately answer. Certainly, he could teach magic, but did he know enough about the universe to educate? After all, he'd been caught off guard by the Void, and in this new world, there could be countless other phenomena and forces that he was unaware of. Such a concept worried him. He needed to be as strong and knowledgeable as possible if he was going to be a…. Aven swallowed. A father… if he was going to help raise a child, he was going to need to be prepared.
Strangely, as if on queue to his desire, he felt a presence, almost as if someone were watching him, reading his desires. Could that be the God I was told about?
"I have a slight clue, but I can't be sure. You bring up an excellent point, my love, there is so much I still need to learn." He turned, stared into Hakon's eyes. "There's something I heard that you should know, Hakon. I heard there are Gods in this realm as well, but these Gods, they can be met, conversed with, not just prayed to."

" Ah- that would be wonderful," she murmurs, sighing happily as her free hand brushes over her stomach idly before looking up at him," Lets be sure there are not any anti-magic cults here first- if there are, I will wipe them out." Huffing gently she looks up at him once more," My dear Aven, can you teach them of the universe? Do we even understand what happened to us?" She asks vaguely worriedly

Aven turned his hand to grasp Hakon's, his other arm wrapped around her, hand gently running up and down, massaging her weary limbs. He could tell she was enjoying the meal, seeming to be pondering something. "You know, it's possible the child could be a mage," He teased. "If so, you can bet I'll be teaching them all about magic and the universe."

Hakon smiles and laughs under her breath, almost slipping off the thin cot as he snuggles close. In response, she wraps her arms about him, popping more strips of the sweet meat into her mouth, chewing- savoring the flavor that flooded her tongue. It was cooked and cut just correctly for the meat to all but dissolve upon her tongue. She wanted to groan with happiness but knew it would probably cause him to blush and squeal-ah how she loved how flustered he got. She smiles and nuzzles his pure white hair, murmuring," You're probably right- ah…" she trailed off, her memories of Connlaoth already growing rather fuzzy but… The bad ones remained stamped upon her mind. Oh how relieved she was their children would not be raised in a place of such fear and fury..

As her mind wandered, her hand rested over his, brushing over his knuckles gently.

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Wed Jul 19, 2017 3:34 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Aven laughs brightly at the idea. She was absolutely right, in most respects, it seemed too good to be true. Then again, pondering the the country they'd grown up in, the more he thought about it the more he began to realize how utterly horrible Connloath had been. Most of the nobles were monsters, too corrupt with power and the allure of money to care about the well being of their people, and nearly the whole country was willing to turn a blind eye to what would be considered genocide in most places. "No, we're very much alive: remember, if we'd passed on, I wouldn't exactly be there, would I?" He nuzzles against her side, snuggling up close as he can without interrupting her eating. "Perhaps, it's simply that Connloath was that broken a country, that any normal place comes off as extraordinary?"

Hakon inhaled, her stomach immediatel growling at the sweet, familiar scent of red meat. Ah- she felt like she could eat an entire cow. Exhaling faintly, she moved over in the bed to allow him to settle beside her, one of her hands resting idly ovef her stomach as she rested the sack gently upon her thighs, the heat of the meal warming her thighs as she began to eat slowly, chewing the savory meat with a soft sigh of contentment.

" Are you sure we are not dead, my love?" She asks, looking at him with a serious expression," I mean- ah… This is all too good to be true- the people are so kind, we'll have children, the sheets are soft and Ansgar forbid the food is to die for." She slumps slightly forward, her whispy, platinum blonde hair falling over her face in a veil," Ah- I hope we are not dead, my love,"

Aven nodded, making his way over to the bed, chuckling at Hakon's bed-head. "Iria is a wonderful city, unlike anything I've seen before. The people are open and welcoming, willing to help a stranger like me without a second thought." He held up the sack, opening it and releasing a small puff of stream from the inside, the smell of cooked beef filling the area. "As for the food, I did a bit of thaumaturgy to earn some money, there's no need to worry." He winked, setting the food down on her lap. He reached over and ran his hand along her hair, smoothing down a few stray follicles, before kissing her cheek. "Eat up, Haki, we've got places to go and things to see!"

Hakon sat up with a start as Aven re-entered the room, obviously much stronger but clearly on edge. She looked at him worriedly, swinging her legs down from the bed, using the thin white sheet to cover herself as she gazed at him anxiously, immediately reading his face,"… It's really that good, is it?" She murmurs, seeming surprised and somewhat pleased. She reaches out to him, cherry lips slowly forming into a smile," My Aven- is that food I smell? You shouldn't have but I'm starving…" she sighs faintly, it seemed she thought he had stolen the food.

Nonetheless, in his absence it seemed she had rested well, her platinum blonde hair sticking up on the back of her head rather wildly as she looked at him with a faint, affectionate smile.

Aven nodded, understanding her exhaustion. He stood from the bed, leaning down for one last peck to her cheek. "Alright, rest up, my love. I'll be back after I gather some information about this place. I'll see if I can bring back some food as well." He waved with a smile as he exited the room.

Gathering information, surprisingly, was not a difficult task whatsoever. He found that the area was very peaceful, the people open to talk about most everything without reserve. It took him some getting used to, to be sure, having grown up in a country where any given person had a family of skeletons in their closet, and more than enough reason to lock the door and throw away the key, not mention a serious precaution around anyone asking questions.
He wondered, could Connloath have ever been like this city? So open, so welcoming, so accepting! Shaking his head as he strode down the street, Aven concluded that was impossible. He was beginning to believe, deep within his heart, that their travel to this place was not a tragedy, but a blessing.
On the way, he had stopped at a jeweler, selling off a silver ring he'd forged from Dark Matter, having eaten at a small tavern. He supposed it would be enough for the time being, to secure a room for the night and compensate the healer's clinic for their services. After that, he headed back to the ward Hakon was staying in, entering the room with a small burlap sack, food inside that was still warm due to him insulating the interior. "Haki, I'm back!"

She hesitates before shaking her head gently, sighing weakly," Ah- let me rest, my dear Aven, you can go explore without me. Just don't forget me here, alright?" She chuckles faintly, squeezing his hand before motioning gently for him to shoo. Truthfully, she felt so utterly exhausted her body begged for sleep- maybe it was the shock after mental shock… Or being ripped through time and space- either way, she felt an incredible fatigue upon her entire form that she had not felt ever before.

" Go on, dear, I'll be here."

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 9:21 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Aven scootched closer on the bed, leaning in, his skin a small tinge of red. "Well, first, I think it's best we find an inn, so we can eat and.. unwind." He nibbled softly on Hakon's earlobe. Indeed, after such an exhausting battle and process I traveling from through the fabric occur time and space, Aven was quite hungry, in more ways than one. "Are you feeling well enough to walk?"

Nodding faintly at his words, she seemed to get the gist of what he had said. After almost two years of listening to her dearest love's impassioned speeches on Dark Matter and Magic, she had come to eventually undeerstand him more and more. So this, thankfully, was not completely foreign to her though the concept of the Void was. Breathing through her nose, she pursed her lips and bright his hand up to kiss the back of his palm," Yes- it may be good to… Settle down." She murmurs softly, closing her eyes and sighing deeply. Hakon allowed herself to relax with his hand resting against her lips, eyes closed as she murmurs," My love- my love… What now?"

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 9:06 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Aven sighed. He knew he' didn't have to explain it eventually, the truth he'd found out from the previous Dark Matter Scion. It was his title and obligation now, but as to how he'd fulfill it, Aven had no clue. "It was the Void. Caster was not only a demonlord, that was simply his coverup of the true evil beneath. He was a Void magus, a user of the most vile force in the universe, even past Dark Matter." He looks down, focusing his thoughts. "You see, Dark Matter is the universe's barrier to Void, which is the epitome on non-existence. Anything swallowed by the Void is erased, body and spirit, and it is constantly bordering the edges of reality. Your Adhara field was undoubtably damaged by contact with it, perhaps even altered, as Void is a terribly corrupting force. So far, though, I cannot sense any Void within you, you should be safe." He relaxes back, keeping hold of her hand. "It's highly possible that this land also has different perameters of magic, so I will need to obtain that information. It would be best to learn as much as we can before setting off."

It was as if a natural spring of warmth and relief suddenly bubbled up within her. Reaching up with one hand, she carresses his cheek sweetly, lips curling into a loving smile," I trust you. Ah- I want to learn more of this land, of these people. Pavaporah? Is that what this land is called?" She paused and trailed off," My aura- it's gone or… Weak, my love- what happened when we fought the Caster? We HAD it and then… And then-" she trails off and shakes her head slowly to and fro, platinum locks swaying gently in the breeze.

Aven nuzzles his forehead against hers. "We'll be fine, Haki. If we really need, I can transmute up some precious metals to sell to get us started." He kisses her lightly on the nose, smiling gently. "Maybe it's better this way, in the first place. We have no obligations, no one to answer to, and best of all…" He presses his forehead against hers once more. "We're on the same side."

She leans upward into his kiss, holding his hand tenderly before resting back again, exhaling slowly as she closes her eyes," I should find work- before… Before it becomes too difficult," she insists softly, her fingers entertwining with his as she stifles a soft hiss of breath, a small bolt of pain lancing through her and causing her to exhaling heavily.

" I've… Never started from the completely bottom before- will we… Be alright?" She asks softly

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 8:14 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Aven moved over to the bed, shocked, himself. Hakon was… pregnant. They'd talked about the prospect of having children, naturally, as she was the last… well, she was the last _sane_ member of her family. The idea had never really sunk in, though, a reality which was hitting him extremely hard at the moment. They were in a new world, it seemed, with so many unanswered questions, so much work to do as it was! They weren't nobles there, either, they had no holdings, nor any concrete way to make money as of yet. What would they…?

The questions and doubts began to ebb from his mind as he saw the happiness in Hakon's eyes, tears of joy welling within them. He smiled, leaning in and kissing her deeply. Aven didn't need to be wealthy or influential: as long as he could see that smile on Hakon's face, that was all he could ever want. "…Pregnant. Congratulations, Haki, you're going to be a wonderful mother."

Author: AevumEternity, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 7:36 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Hakon's head quickly snapped up, her eyes widening in shock," What…?" She breathed, her grey-green gaze unfocused with pure surprise. She suddenly felt lightheaded, rather dizzy and allowed herself to sink back into the plush sheets. Her hands folded over her lower belly, her eyebrow knitting as her eyes quickly shut. She was… Pregnant? She tried not to be as shocked as she felt, after thats what happened when a man and a woman… Ah… A rosy blush quickly painted her face. Nonetheless, she shook her head. Her chest burst with joy but… She was worried- they had no idea where they were and what if this world was worse then the last or… Something?

Chewing her bottom lip thoughtfully, she rasped faintly," May I… Ah- speak to my companion alone please?" She begs softly, getting a rather worried look from the Nurse and doctors yet. They heeded her wishes. Hakon waited until the sharp click of the metallic soles faded from the door before she looks to Aven, her eyes wide,"… Aven-" she squeezed his hand," I'm…" she couldn't even finish before breaking into a teary smile.

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 7:25 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Aven gave Hakon a light smile, reaching out and grasping her hand. "A new beginning, Haki." The nurse's hands began to glow, and Hakon would feel a sensation she'd never felt before: her skin mending. It wasn't unpleasant, per say, just…. new.Throughout the procedure, Aven held her hand tightly, reassuring her every step of the way. Questions had already begun to rise in his mind, however, important queries that needed answering. Where was Hakon's Adhara field? It couldn't have gone away, it was part of her very being, was it not? Perhaps… the Void had surpressed it? He couldn't be sure, but he hoped it would be coming back soon.Near at the end of the healing, the nurse's eyebrows knitted, her hand over Hakon's stomach, glancing at Aven. "Sir… this woman is pregnant…!?" She glared at him, a mixture of a look as though she assumed he'd forced her into battle, and fear for the child within Hakon's womb.

Author: AevumEternity, Posted: Tue Jul 18, 2017 2:43 AM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Hakon, too, seemed to have noticed something off- something unusual about the individals claiming to assist them. She furrowed her brow and lay back with a sigh, closing her eyes. Aven could probably explain this- but she felt worried, her Aura… It was not working. Obviously these people were quite at ease so- what happened to her Adhara aura?

Exhaling deeply, she obediently shifting her torso out of the chest armor and lay still as the woman's cool hands brushed over her skin. She could not feel something rather noticeably wrong with her lower back and as the young woman moved away, she shifted her hand about to brush the region, pulling her hand back to her face to note dried blood fragments sticking to her fingers… Thats right, she had been struck in the back by the demon- she hadn't felt anything then due to adrenaline but now…

She shook her head faintly and exhaled, closing her eyes… She wanted to fall back asleep. Nonetheless, she opened her eyes- Hakon reaching out to Aven,"… Where are we?"

" Pavrpora- as stated before," one of the docgors replied but from the way she gazed at him- brow furrowed and eyes intense, clearly she was asking a heavy 'where ARE we?' To him.

Aven could barely believe it: he'd read a study on dimensional magic, a foundational element of most forms of summoning, but most of it had been theoretical. Actually traveling to a different world, a different universe, and unharmed, no less? The two of them were living proof of the multiverse theory!

Aven stood, rolling his shoulders as they popped into place, causing a few odd looks from the doctors. Apparently, they knew the sight of regeneration. He didn't consider it a problem, that tall doctor had openly referenced magic, so he couldn't imagine they had any issue with him, past maybe curiosity. He strode around the bed and sat in a nearby chair, facing Hakon. "I'll be staying for any treatment you administer, please continue."

Hakon seems to voice his thoughts immediately," Parvpora?" She echoes incredulously, wincing but slowly releasing aven, the blood returning her arms causing pins and needles to prickle her limbs rather mercilessly. Again, she gulps down a groan and closes her eyes," This place is..?"

" Parvpora," the nurse finishes gently, already beginning to removed the armor, looking at it strangely before continuing pleasantly," The place we are now, you came here did you not?"

" yes but-" not on purpose. She bit back the second portion and simply exhales, going slowly limp,"…" She felt an odd sense of relief- if… This truly was another world they had been tossed into- there was so much suddenly lifted off of her, suddenly she was free- Aven was free. Was this…  blessing in disguise?

Aven gasped as she near crushed him to kiss his forehead, a worthwhile trade in his book. He laughed hoarsely. "Yes, Hakon, I'm quite alright, just a bit hungry, is all." His eyes flickered over to the nurse, sensing something strange. Was that… magic energy within her?

He shifted up to peck Hakon's cheek. "I'll be here, don't worr, Haki. After that battle, it would be best for them to look you over. If I recall, that demon hit you quite forcefully in the chest."

One of the doctors strode up. "Don't worry, Miss Hakon, it will be painless. We have the most prestigious healing experts in Parvpora, there is hardly an injury we cannot tend to."

Aven's eyes widened slightly. Parvpora? I've never heard of it. Where are we?

Hakon hears that familiar voice, it seemed as if her heart had started again, quickly she cupped his face in her hands, her eyes flying wide as she looked him over with concern," Aven-" she breathed his name, gasping faintly. That word, that name felt correct upon her tongue, not this odd language she was now speaking,"- Aven, my Aven- Are you?" she quickly presses her lips rather hard to his forehead, perhaps almost painfully, the dented armor of her chestplate squealing in protest between them.

Pain shot through her back and she quickly fell back again, breathing rather hard," ugh- ah-" wincing her fingers nonetheless curled through his hair," Thank god- thank god you're here…" she laughs breathlessly even as her vision swam.

" Lay still- Aven? Is that your name?" the nurse looks to him quickly," You must leave her… We must check her over. And you, for that matter…"

Author: Aven Alveron, Posted: Mon Jul 17, 2017 5:12 PM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

It was as though Aven were reliving the fight, over and over in his head, wondering what he could have done better.

The dark cloaked man chuckled ominously, his Angel fallen, his Demon in tatters. Aven and Hakon stood triumphant in the middle of the courtyard, Hakon raising her blade to strike him down. "You think you've won…" Both Hakon and Aven froze, bound by an invisible force. They struggled to break free, but it was futile. "You have no idea how small you are, insects. The Void is all encompassing, all powerful! It binds the universe, just as it has bound you now." The man, Caster, stands from his alleged defeat, his eyes pure darkness. "I could make you into my slaves, make you fight each other until you are nothing more than husks of your former selves…. but I'm afraid I've grown bored of your antics. Perish now…" A portal of infinite blackness opened behind them. "…in the dark!"

Aven woke with a start, the heartbeat of his love close, but sluggish. Where… where were they? "Ha…ki…" As he tried to speak, he felt an incredible weakness, an empty feeling, as though he were completely drained of power. The barrier… it was destroyed. But neither Matter nor energy can be destroyed, how is that possible? It should have returned to me after breaking! It was obvious to Aven that he had yet to learn everything about the way the universe functions. He would need to remedy that. "Haki… are you… okay?"

Author: AevumEternity, Posted: Mon Jul 17, 2017 4:49 PM, Post Subject: A new beginning to an old tale [Aevumeternity]

Hakon slowly blinked awake, she still held a familiar crushing weight to her chest, her chestpiece still on due to the fact she would still not budge from her trap-like grip upon Aven. Slowly, she relaxed, her grip upon that familiar weight slipping slightly as her eyes sought out darkness in order to relieve the blinding white light of the room. She felt numb- her body ached despite her legs and head being freed of the familiar heavy armor.

her lips part in a groan, chapped and utterly begging for water," Ugh~" blinking rapidly she tried to lift her head, only to feel it fall back down without her volition. A hand touched her shoulder, a young woman had approached and knelt beside the bed.

" Miss?" Her voice sounded far away," Miss?" Hakon realized it came from the woman, that sound- and turned to look at her, blinking rapidly," Miss let him go. We need to help you."

"…" she tried to speak, the words being said, the words forming upon her tongue felt foreign,"… Don't." Ah- there, yes… Don't take him from me. She wished she could say it all but felt far too weak to. That fight- what had happened?

Hakon and Aven would wake up in a a white tiled room, under recently washed sheets. Two figures in grey uniforms stood near the bed, discussing a most peculiar topic. "….it was the strangest thing, the young man doesn't seem to have anything wrong with him. No cuts, no abrasions, no bruises, no signs of illness."

The second, taller figure nods, stroking his chin. "And the female?"

The younger man glanced over at the two of them, assuming them to still be unconscious. "She seemed to have a few bruises on her legs, but we couldn't examine her torso or arms. It's like she has a death grip on that young boy, we couldn't budge it!"

All she could truly recall was a sudden, all-consuming blackness and a horrid roaring-screeching sound. Gritting her teeth beneath her helm, she quickly grasps hold to her sword and shield as Aven's arms wrap around her securely. Before she knew it, Hakon's breath was torn from her lungs and darkness crashed upon an egg shell of familiar energy…

Her gauntletted hands grasped him tightly as she screwed her eyes tightly shut- was this the end? No way?! So soon?? There was so much to do it couldn't be-

Oxygen rushed back into her lungs causing Hakon to inhale with a rasp and break into a coughing fit. She was sitting up and felt the smallist form of her lover collapsing into her arms. Quickly she wrapped him tightly to her chest, blearly looking through her helm at the unfamiliar faces around them. An unusual language of awe being spoken- yet as she faded in and out of barely being conscious, she could begin to understand more and more.

" Who is that?!"
" What happened?"
" Go get someone!!"

Darkness. It had been a friend of Aven's for quite a time, both his shield and sword in times of need. However, the darkness he felt now was no being's ally, a void of nothingness that threatened to swallow both him and his beloved whole. We were careless! How could they have known that Caster was affiliated with the Void? It was unthinkable, but he'd managed to catch both of them in a spelll, through Hakon's Adhara field, no less! If Aven didn't do something, they'd be swallowed by the Void in no time at all.

Gathering up all the dark matter in his possession, he pulled Hakon close to his chest, gritting his teeth. "Hang on, Haki, this is going to be rough!" The dark matter enveloped them in a shell, while the twisted magics of the void rocketed them through time and space. It was all Aven could do to keep the barrier intact, a few leaks along the way blasting his body with Void energy, and causing a gasp of pain.

It seemed to last an eternity, but all of a sudden, the turmoil cane to an abrupt halt, the shell cracking and dissolving into nothing, not even dark matter particles. The scene before the tightly clasped lovers was one of a crowd, awestruck expressions on each and every member of it, in the town square of a bustling city. A warm sense of relief washed over Aven, just as his legs gave out and he collapsed in Hakon's arms.
