"just cause you become skilled dase not mean you can fully stop worrying." she said as they walked. the walk was not long to the aria she got out of the city. the sky had turned dark before they got to her home so she lit a small flame in her hand. once they got into the cave they went down the main corridor to a large room. the room had a fire pit and she quickly lit it revealing the size of the room and what it had in it. She had pillows and blankets in the room but little else. She had learned that if others see her collection the things within like to go missing so she had moved them to other locations. 

"Welcome to my home. i know it is not what most would prefer but I like it. So make yourself at home." she said then sat near the flames. and jestered towards the pillows.

"I'd love to spend a night with you!" Aikane smiled warmly, following Vinsue as she began walking towards the exit of the city. She kept part of her attention on walking and the other part on keeping an eye of her surroundings, so that she could learn the city better with each progressive step. After spending the day with Vinsue, she felt comfortable with the woman. She sensed no malicious intent as although the woman was different, she didn't seem to hold anything back. She told Aikane of her experience in the library with her powers, and happily helped her find the library and waited patiently as she applied to the school. "Cheap, safe living. Awesome. Hopefully after a little while in the school I won't have to worry about whether places are safe or not."

"Well if i find it I'll take you there summer break if not than we could look together later. As of a safe cheap place to sleep I don't know. personally i live outside of town and have not stayed in any of the inns. you could join me for tonight. though It's a bit different than what most would expect." She looked at the sky and noted the time. she needed to leave soon if she was not planning on sleeping in the city. she started walking hoping Aikana would come so they could talk more. "Once you're a student they have boarding that is free or near free and safe. but as i said you can join me tonight."

"Oh, yes.. that's right." Aikane puffed her lips out, putting her hands on her hips as she thought of a solution. "Perhaps I can take a break. I don't know how strict this school is, but I hope I'll have some time off to explore the land. It's part of why I'm here, after all, but I suppose school comes first." Looking up at the sky, she noticed it was late afternoon. "I think I'll need a place to stay tonight. Do you have any suggestions? I'm looking for a place that's inexpensive but not.. you know, dangerous to be in." She knew that with every great town came its less desirable areas, and since she knew no defensive magics yet it was best to stay away from such places. She preferred avoiding conflict like that anyway, although she wielded two short swords on a belt around her waist.

she almost jumped as her friends hand was placed on her shoulder and she quickly turned to face her friend and relax as she stood up. "The Tar Eisalae, also known as the Library Temple. It is a rumored place said to hold every book, letter and scroll ever written. If the place exist I do plan on finding it before the next new moon. you can come if you like but I thought you just joined the school?" She said she would not mind the company but she needed to find that info fast and in her true form it would be easier.

Aikane nodded at Vinsue as she spoke of leaving but not going far. She worked on the form for a few minutes before she was finished and went to stand back in line, until it was her turn once again and she turned in the application. It took the bookkeeper a few minutes of reviewing it before she approved, and then took a couple minutes more to create a library card for Aikane. Finally, she got her book, and after thanking the woman for her time, she headed out of the library to find Vinsue again. It was easy enough; her friend was simply sitting on the steps, waiting for her. She put a gentle hand on her shoulder to alert her that she was there.

"What was that you were saying about a rumored place that may not exist? We should go and find it!" The idea of the legend tickled at her adventurous side. The only bad thing that could come out of doing research on the place and setting out to find it is that unfortunately there wasn't a place holding the book that Vinsue needed, but in the end they'd still get a good trip out of it.

"Not hear unfortunately."she said about a possible book to help with her problems. "If there is one only the temple of the keeper of keys and knowledge would have it but that is a rumored place that may not exist." she smiled as her friend read the name of the book. it was actually a great place to start. "nice" she said and followed her to the desks. than to the table.

She stood behind a chair at the table and waited. the forum usually took little time to fill out. "I'm going to get some fresh air, i will not be far from the entrance." she said than walked out of the building. she took a seat on the steps and started to think and soak in the sun.

Aikane pushed the muscles in her mouth to one side to indicate an expression of 'oh, that's unfortunate.' "Maybe there's a book in here about learning how to control your abilities. I'm sure you're not the first one who's had trouble." She then looked at the cover of the book to read the title as her friend asked her what she'd found. "Arcane Magic: The Beginner's Guide," she hummed, looking back up to Vinsue. "I think it's a good place to start. Get ahead while I can, you know?" Beginning to walk back out of the many lines of bookcases towards where the front of the library was, she then made her way to the front desk in which she could check out her book. Luckily, though there were lines, there were plenty of keepers to help with them. Soon enough it was her turn to check out, but first she had to create a library card. A paper was handed to her and so she was then directed to a table with ink and quill. "This shouldn't take but a minute," Aikane said to Vinsue as she walked, seating herself before she got started on completing the application.

vinsue smiled as her friend had found a book. She was did not grab a book simply to keep from accidentally destroying it. "There is a lot i would like to read but tell i figure out how to control my abilities i would rather not. for the books sake" she knew it would look od to go into a library and not read a book but she also knew that she was not supposed to be in the place tell she could prove her magic was under control. "So what did you find?"

After a minute or two of looking, Aikane had picked out a book that she thought would help her in her early quest to learn arcane magics. It had information on how to learn basic and easy spells, starting off with learning how to channel magic, and how to safely practice it. She glanced over at Vinsue who was looking at books on her own, moving over to her with the book she picked out in hand. "See anything you like?" she asked. The smell of the library full of old books made her nostalgic of her childhood years when she'd spend all day occupied in the library in her hometown, reading of fictional adventures to satisfy the lack of the adventures she had herself, being too young to go off very far on her own.

Vinsue laughed a bit at how intrigued her friend was with the library. she had a similar response the first time she came and knew many newcomers did the same. She looked at the front desk glad to see a librarian she did not know yet. She than followed Aikane down the shelves looking at the various names. "I bet you will. I mean I did tell the incident." all her words were whispered as she respected the quietness the aria loved to keep. that and she did not like the hush sound people threw when others were loud.

Seeing the aria her friend decided to go down she stopped. She knew that if she got into them she would accidentally do the spell and preferred not to do that. she kept with her friend but stayed near the middle of the row. She looked at the may titles and quickly fund the replacement for the one she burnt. it was actually a bit funny to her that they replaced it that fast.

Aikane walked with a pep in her step to the library, glad that Vinsue didn't mind traveling with her there. In fact, she seemed happy about it. This made Aikane feel even better about the school and what she had yet to learn there, although it's true she got mostly positive reviews from the academy. When they reached the library, she looked up at it with a grin in response to its size. "It's beautiful," she said, as it was quite large with many stories and decorations. The other buildings on the campus had their own beauty as well, but the library really stood out. Judging by the way Vinsue spoke her words about it being 'the best mortal library in the world' quietly, she decided perhaps to ask questions about what other libraries her friend knew of. She didn't know much about the gods; only that some were passionate about them and others scowled at the mention of them.

Entering the library through its front door, Aikane was immediately captivated by its interior decoration and the amount of books there were on the first story alone. She could almost feel the knowledge, magical and non, and the history that came with all of it. It was stunning. "Oh, I'll definitely be spending a lot of time here," she chuckled, walking further into the vast building, looking from visible shelf to shelf and reading their labels until she'd find one that would peak her interest. Finally, she noted a section labeled as Arcane Magic and approached the first bookshelf, glancing over the available selection.

“Yea, that test is not too hard.” She smiled remembering when she had taken the test and how she surprised the administrators that a 17-year-old girl could know some of the stuff. But that was a long time ago and she had only learned more over time. Yet she still could not control her newest ability, which slightly annoyed her. She looked at the map glad it was as up to date as they got.

“Why not, I have nothing else to do,” she said following her new friend. “Sure” she said more than happy to go to the library, she just hoped they would not mind seeing her there. “This is it.” She said as she started up the steps. “The best mortal library in the world.” She said a bit quieter than normal knowing that the city hated the god and saying that could get her fined.

A smile found its way to Aikane's face as she saw her friend and made up half the distance to reach her. "Very nervous," she chuckled. "But I'm also confident they'll accept me once they test my magical aptitude." Her magic was strong and flawless when she practiced certain spells enough, and she hoped with those spells she'd make a good impression. It at least would show her potential. She started walking past the Administration Building, pulling out the map she had gotten from inside to look at it. "Want to look around? It'd kill some time, and help me out." Aikane looked at where the library was on the map, which she was most excited to see. "How about we go to the library?"

She leaned against a wall as she waited. She looked at the ground as the people walked by. after a bit she started playing with her powers. She formed a electric ball. Slowly increasing and decreasing the size tell she got bored and made it go out. Hearing her name she looked up and called "over here." and walked to meet her. 

"So you nervous." she asked knowing most now had a long night tell being told whether or not she was accepted.

Aikane smiled at the fact Vinsue found a friendship between them to sound nice. She nodded as the woman spoke about the administration building. This is just the place I need to be. Following her to the door, she smiled back and waved. "Alright, I'll be right back." And with that, she walked inside and looked at the signs she saw at the start of each line. One read Registration, and the other read Other Assistance. There was a rack with pamphlets of information in them on one wall that had information about different things about the school. Walking over to the rack, Aikane glanced over the titles and picked one up that was a map of the entire school before she walked to the registration line, where three others were waiting. She looked over it as she stood, getting the general idea of the place.

When it was her turn to register, she stepped up to the counter with a friendly smile as the lady working the line smiled back. "Hello, my name is Aikane Sylris, and I'd like to register to become a member of this school."
"Okay! What brings you to the Academy?" The woman asked cheerily as she got out a small stack of paper.
"I hope to learn how to become a cleric, along with some defensive spells to stay safe." Aikane took the papers from the woman and gave the first page a once-over.
"There's never a lack of healers. Well, good luck to you. Ink and quill are over at that table. Turn it in to me when you're done."
"Thank you!" Aikane hummed, and with that, walked to the table with the inks and quills and chairs and sat down to start filling out the form. It only took about ten minutes before she was done, and after she returned the papers to the woman, she was told to come back the next day for more information. After thanking her once more, Aikane was on her way out of the building, looking around outside for Vinsue. "Vinsue?" she called, moving to the side of the door to continue looking.

"Friends. that sounds nice." she smiled at the thought of someone being with her rather than another agent her. "This is the Administration building. where you can get restored, present problems, and get information related to classes or things of that nature." she looked up at the building than back down at the ground. than walked to the door. "Well here you go. I'll be around outside when you're done. Just wave I'll come." she smiled opening the door.

"Oh, wow," Aikane said in response to Vinsue's short story. She stopped as Vinsue did. "That's unfortunate. Well, hey! I've always been interested in being a teacher, too, so maybe I can try to teach you what I learn." She smiled warmly as she adjusted her satchel to fit more comfortably on her body. "And about how you used electricity to scorch that guy and the books: at least now you have a cool ability! I'd love to learn it. I think we could really benefit from each other as friends." Looking from Vinsue to the building they stopped at. "What building is this?"

"It is quiet a site for sure." she looked onward as she said that. The question almost made her stop for it was a topic and thought she usually avoided. "trouble likes my name and calls it often. I was reading as i love to do and gained one of my abilities. There was a man on the other side of the medal table when i first got my electric strike. sparks flew as i touched the table not knowing i had that ability or that i was using it. the man survived but the books were trashed aster words. I was told i had to learn to control my self before i could return" 

She stopped outside the administration building. "They will not let me join do to my reputation though I want, like you, to learn the art of healing."

"Oh?" Aikane said, and then nodded at Vinsue's advice on the best way to find one's way to and from the school. "That's easy to remember and do. Thanks!" Her eyebrows raised as the Academy came into view, impressed by its size. She had thought it'd be big, but not that big. Aikane pushed down feelings of apprehension and sped up her pace a little. Despite the slight overwhelming feeling she had in her chest due to the school's colossal size, she couldn't help feeling excitement in her fingers. "It's beautiful," she said in awe. "What happened so you couldn't go to school? And why aren't you allowed there for weeks?" Aikane was interested in the kind of person Vinsue was. Nice and friendly but also deviant and mischievous. She realized they could be good friends then.

"Well you came to the right place. I thought of joining the school once but it did not happen." Seeing that the road began to clear a good bit she pushed off the wall and continued walking. "The easiest way to find the school is to fallow the sun in the morning or your shadow in the evening. for the school makes up a good bit of the east side of the city." She smiled as the giant liberty came in to view. "There it is my favorite place in the city and the one place that i'm not to be found near for a few weeks."

Aikane nodded in response to Vinsue's words, wondering to herself why the streets were so flooded at the moment. She stayed quiet as Vinsue continued talking, chuckling softly as she said that she enjoyed making drama and not getting caught. "Yeah, I'm planning to become a student, actually. I want to learn how to heal people when they need it. When I was young, I would enjoy making medicine out of plants for my friends when they'd go out adventuring and get hurt. My mother taught me a few spells to heal minor cuts, but I want to learn more, so here I am." She looked around at the signs and landmarks as they walked, taking special note of them as they passed to remember how to get to the academy when she would be traveling alone.

She moved slowly threw the crowded streets often grabbing her hood and making sure it stayed up. She was not one for crowds and often avoided them but she was on a mission now and was carful not to lose Aikane. She loved the warmth and was glad for the light that touched her hands. She hardly herd the question over the rush of people. she thought of the question for a second. She went to the side of the street and stopped. "The streets will be almost desolate in a few minutes. Than walking will be a bit easier" She leaned agent the wall looking over the crowd.

"As of fun i'm a bit different than most. People hear find a delight in any thing that has teaching bit to it. There favorites being debates." she had a filling that was not what she wanted. "I like making drama in this peaceful place. The fun of it not being cault." She smiled as if it were a joke but that was what she did naturally and it was a bit fun. "Most outsiders like to see the school. I personally love the library and the knowledge there."

"Okay!" Aikane replied cheerily. She noticed the group, and could see why they'd be a problem once intoxicated. Folding the map, she put it back in her bag and put the single strap on. "It's nice to meet you, Vinsue. What do you do for fun around here?" she asked as she let Vinsue lead the way to the Mage Academy. The streets were crowded today so they had to dodge people walking the opposite way of them; Aikane was careful to keep close to Vinsue so as not to lose her. The day was also warm, so she wondered if Vinsue would take off her hood.

"The school will do batter at teaching you the trick." she looked at the group that walked in to the room and back at the map. "I'm Vinsue." She was distracted by the new group. "we should go before they get drunk. Thats not a mess i would want to be in." Se stood up keeping her back to the new group. "Come I'll show you to the school if you would like."

Aikane nodded, and then listened as the woman explained to her how to do the trick. She decided she'd try to conjure up something simple, like a rock. Focusing on one part of the table, she imagined a rock in that exact spot, sitting there, as a rock would do. She focused increasingly hard as it wasn't appearing at first. After a minute, she gave up. "Oh well. I'll keep practicing, thanks for telling me!" She paused, realizing she didn't know the woman's name. "I'm Aikane, what's your name?"

"A Scholar taught me when I was young. But that was a wile ago." she smiled at the ladies excitement. "i would be delighted to teach you. its a simple trick and a travelers must have. but it takes a bit to master." she looked around than back at the table. "you simply think of what you want and believe it is on a specific spot and it appears." she looked at the map witch was a bit out dated and lacked a few things and had places that were destroyed a wile ago.

Aikane was surprised to see a full glass of water appear on the table. "Oh, thank you," she said, smiling and taking the cup. She drank from it gratefully, swallowing half the liquid in the glass before setting it back down on the table and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. "Where'd you learn to do that?" Aikane asked. She'd love to learn how to do something like that, and her fingers were tingling with excitement to learn something new. "Could you teach me?"

"Thank you" She said taking a seat. "Yea i have been to the academy its nice but the school like the town do not like any thing to do with religion." She sipped her drink and noticed the lady watched her cup. She focused on a spot on the table and willed a glass of water to appear. in the place a cup appeared full of water. "I know the city rather well if you need help finding it."

"Not at all!" Aikane smiled warmly, nodding to the chair in front of her. "Go ahead, I'm just trying to find a way to the Mage Academy. I'm hoping to become a student there, and train to be a cleric. Have you been there?" she asked, looking at the woman. She noted her hood was covering her hair,  and she was curious as to why, but decided she'd ask later. She hoped she was going to make her first friend, and she didn't want start off being rude. She finished off her cinnamon roll and realized she was thirsty, but felt it weird to ask someone you don't know if you can have some of their drink. I'll get something later.

Vinsue had been siting in the building for a wile before the woman walked in. she quickly realized that the lady was not from around the aria. She got up grabbed her drink and walked over to the lady. "Mind if i sit with you?" She asked. She had her hood up covering her hair as she did in the cities.

Aikane stared at the city before her with wide eyes, excited for what lay inside of it. When someone also walking into the city bumped into her, she apologized for standing in the way and continued walking as well, bringing her eyes down from the buildings, into the streets. Scenting pastries, she grinned to herself and approached the stand, paying the shopkeeper for a cinnamon roll before heading inside a building to sit and eat. She smiled at people as they walked by for a few minutes, and then reached into her bag to pull out a map of the city so she could start figuring out a way to get to the Mage Academy.
