Since atlatls are basically grooved pieces of wood used for greater leverage throwing spears, I'd say bo staff would be a good sub for them. So your system would be bo for launcher and spears for ammo.

In practice, javelins are thrown spears, so that sub works.

Just curious as to what would make sense to sub for javelins, since we have a boomerang, chakram, shurikens and throwing knives. I have a spear, so maybe that?
