Years ago— no one can agree on how many— a great war engulfed Canelux, one that threatened the gods for the first time in the continent's history. While it was called the Godslayer War, only one god fell as a result: the Goddess of the Hours. While the gods eventually quelled this uprising, the loss of this goddess had cataclysmic consequences.

At first, the changes seemed small: two soldiers from the war disagreed on how long it had been since they returned home. Soon, others were reporting the same problem. The more people spoke about the passage of time, the more their stories seemed to differ. Then strange portals appeared, and on the other side would be a world eerily similar to Revaliir. Occasionally, people would arrive from these other worlds, reporting similar events, but different details. A few people even found ghosts of themselves, watching from other places that seemed familiar.

The mages of Wyllmochvar theorized that with the goddess' death, the very fabric of time fractured. They have named the phenomenon Timedeath.

For the first time, Queen Qendresa of Adeluna, King Mojaku of Mamlak, the Kantler of Egjora, the Mage Council of Wyllmochvar, the Archon of Hoja Mesto, and other rulers of the world came together to discuss a solution to this ever-worsening problem. The ruler of Sularia had an insight that others did not, as her people have traveled the worlds for ages. Queen Willow spoke of a clock hidden within the deserts of Arri, an ancient mechanism that had been crumbling since the moment of Timedeath. She also mentioned odd pieces of clockwork that her people had found scattered through Revaliir, and Willow theorized that finding enough of those pieces might restore the clock, and with it, Time itself.

The world's scholars also had a warning: Time has become more and more unstable, and portals are appearing with even greater frequency. What might come through one such portal? What are the consequences if Time continues to unravel? While no one has a conclusive answer, their speculations are dire.

For more information on the origins of Timedeath and the Godslayer War,this information is now on the wiki: The Godslayer War and the Origins of Timedeath.

Clockwork pieces can be found in any roleplay area. The clock itself is located in Kirika Maze Theodore Thuxra has fired up the forge once again, and members can trade their clockwork pieces for shiny prizes here.

Being that this is the holiday season for many people, this event will run a bit longer than usual, and will run until 11:59pm GMT on December 31.
