The week of the Masquerade ball arrives and at the hanging gardens, hundreds of guests arrive shrouded in the mysterious masks. On the bottom of the six garden floors, among the carefully cultivated garden landscape, sit thousands of multicolored lanterns ready for guests to release. Upon the third level, a lazy river falls off four sides of the circular floating platform and descends down into the ocean. At the center of the level, piles of pink lotus flowers lay atop a wooden dock, a sign nearby reads: In honor of a closer spiritual connection between you and your love, release a lotus onto the river together.

The very top of the Hanging Gardens is a circular meadow halo. Through the large hole in the center, lanterns drift up from the lowest level shedding gentle light amongst the guests. This is the dance floor for the masquerade. Hundreds of bodies clad in their finest and obscured in anonymity twirl. The open center of the halo ballroom is enchanted to let people float upon it, dancing in mid-air. A small magical orchestra plays music with no visible musicians. 

The lanterns hover among the visitors and those who wander have sworn to have seen the lonely ghost asking attendees to help him find his lost love. He has promised a reward to those who lead him to her. Though once found the woman is likely to spurn him as she had years ago. (Those who role play this out will receive 500 silver, the top 3 will receive all three event prizes)
