Witchwood or Bewitched Wood comes from Feeorin as its place of origin. The earliest use of the magic wood comes from when the Baba Yagas of Feeorin made their weapons from it for sacrifice and eating children/adults. They used the purple and blue wood of the Burr Trees to make it probably due to the magic resonance the wood naturally has from Verya’s roots feeding the forest water. The Baba Yagas kept this formula secret and the powerful wooden artifacts were desperately sought after. If the witch that created it was killed the weapon would always go up in flames keeping the secret from getting out.

It wasn’t until decades ago when the Baba Yagas chose the wrong man to try to feast on. Rescued by his comrades, the man proclaimed that for their crimes that they would give them the recipe for the Witchwood. Nearly beaten to death the clan of Baba Yagas gave in and sold the secrets of their power. The weapons once examined were pitiful but what they discovered was that the wood could be made into armor… An armor most sought after by those of the Natural Order like druids and rangers.

Since only the Burr Trees could produce the wood needed and any attempt at taking the trees out of the forest to replant them ended up in failure, the men decided to sell the secret and idea to the fairies of Feeorin. They, in turn, began to produce the armor… of course, for a price.

Witchwood armor cannot be burned and is as heavy and durable as any medium set of armor. No metal is used in this armor which makes it a prime buy for all of the Natural Order. Most of the time this armor is a vibrant shade of purple with the glowing blue leaves of Feeorin decorating it but the armor can be enchanted to be whatever color one would want.
