“I see. I can’t even remember home; it’s been so long… Amorak wasn’t exactly saddened by the revelation- in fact, he couldn’t much of it that it didn’t really affect him one way or another. But it was sentimental that Jessamyn had this placed modeled after her home. “Do you miss seeing the sun sometimes? I feel like that every now and then, for obvious reasons.” He sought to make some more light conversation while she went to cook. She seemed very focused though on her work but was able to give him some answers. Nisshoki… he had heard of it in passing while he was onboard the ship coming here. He had heard of a few places around Parvpora that might be worth a visit or two. But for the time being, he had to figure out a way to recover his funds before he even dared to think of leaving.

“I know that”, he spoke as he observed her keenly before his eyes settled onto the goblet. The scent of blood hit him like honey did to bears. It was alluring especially to one that hadn’t eaten for some time. “I don’t normally feed directly from another person. Tried animals before, didn’t like it much. I usually find an indirect way to get blood.” His eyes turned to the food she had prepared and went over to the table. After taking a seat, he started to take some bites of it.

“I won’t. I don’t make it a habit to go days without it. If push comes to shove, then I will ask you for it.” He hoped that it didn’t come down to that, but he wouldn’t let her worry about this. “You have enough on your plate with helping the little ones, I rather not add to the pile.”

He reached for and took the goblet and savored the blood as it filled his mouth. It was exquisite, to say the least. Amorak fed nicely on her food and the blood but then stopped nearly at once when he heard her proclamation. “You don’t exactly turn it off, now do you?”, he asked, wiping his mouth clean with a cloth. Even now, she seemed to have her mind on that sort of business, but that was the deal with their arrangement, now wasn’t it? Amorak sought for one of the glasses filled with wine and slowly sipped on it. “Thank you for the meal, it was lovely. You sure know how to treat your guests.”

Jessamyn thought on it for a little while as she looked about the room. “This is modeled after home I suppose. A place in the sun unless Koschei. Though I wouldn’t say a succubus is out of place here even if I am only a half breed.” There would be things he would learn she was sure but for now, this arrangement would work just fine. He said it would only be for a little while and for some reason a part of her felt a bit sad at the thought. Her mind rolled over it as she stomped it out. There was no point in growing too attached to the man if he was going to leave anyway.

The little woman departed from the room so she could cook dinner for once. Well… at least for more than one person. It felt like forever before she felt like his eyes were on her and she paid it little to no mind as she worked. Jessa was good at keeping her mind where it should have been. Her long pale hair was tied loosely as to keep it out of the way as she cooked. Finally, he spoke to her and she turned her eyes towards him. Violet eyes looked him over as she batted them lightly at his question. “At least sixty years. Before that, I was in Nisshoki but I find that Kurayo better fits my profession and needs than any other city in Parvpora.”

She put some of the food on the table and paused only to look him over for a few minutes. “You’ll need to feed eventually.” She slid over a goblet of what looked like warm blood. “I’ll let you feed on me if I have to but for now this should do… The food I made you should be able to eat just fine as well.” Jessa gave him her best smile and watched him closely. “Don’t starve yourself. It happens enough in this city to those who don’t take what they need when they need it. I suppose that’s one of the many reasons why I offered my home up to you. Why I help those kids too…”

The small blonde got some wine down and popped it open as she poured two glasses. “You are my guest after all and I must take care of you.” There was a seductive tinge to her words as she spoke the last few. Her eyes looked up with a hunger that he might miss if he didn’t look closely.

He thought carefully for a moment- it wasn’t so much that she was forcing him into accepting the deal in general. No, she gave him the choice of either agreeing to her terms or not, which would leave him in a fine pickle. He couldn’t afford to be out in this city on his own, that much Amorak quickly realized. Still, her offering her home to him in exchange for essentially sharing her bed was still perplexing.

His eyes looked into her before shaking his head. “I’m not having my arm yanked, if that’s what you’re worried about. Trust me, I would have left a short while ago if that was the case. But I weighed my options and this is the best course of action.” As strange as it was, like how he sealed their deal. After the things they done at the brothel, a kiss was harmless in comparison. He wasn’t bothered when she returned it but he was mildly surprised when she told him about dinner and such. He wasn’t expecting her to cook for him. Amorak got up and followed Jessamyn through the house, picking up on where what room was in the house. When she got to her own bedroom, he looked around at the arrangement of colors and how the theme seemed to suit her well. Pointing out that it was where he’d also would be sleeping in would have made his face blush if possible.

Hearing that she wanted him as a bedmate was one thing, but to come to the realization that he would be sleeping with her on a normal basis was seemingly overwhelming. Amorak didn’t feel like he was anything special, not special enough to be in a situation where most men would envy him. Perhaps it was because he didn’t treat her like trash or take advantage of her. Hell, he let her lead the whole time. “It’s fine. I don’t really carry much on the go myself”, he replied as he looked through the dresser, section by section. “The bedroom is extremely exquisite. Seems out of place in these parts, like you are.”

He paced around the room, lightly feeling the thick blankets that were on the bed. He listened while continuing to do so as she spoke; his concentration was broken when she mentioned feeding “Can’t say I’ve fed in a good while.” Hopefully he wouldn’t have to use her as a meal, but she hadn’t seemed to mind it from what they spoke off earlier. When she left him to his own devices, Amarok sat onto the bed for a minute before he fell back first, contemplating what’s happened the last few days. One thing was for certain, they were both alone in this world- their families scattered in the wind essentially and they were in a den of hunters and killers that would pounce on the first mistake they’d make. He gazed up towards the ceiling for what seemed like eons before slowly rising back to a sitting position. He dropped his bag on the floor and started going through the little bit of clothing he had in it, neatly folding them before putting them into their respective drawers and headed back to the kitchen’s entryway, hiding slightly behind it while studying Jessamyn and seeing what she was up to.

Cooked food wasn’t something he could fully enjoy like he had when he was human, but it would have still been impressed him to see what she was making. Jessa wasn’t bad at all, despite the warnings he received from sailors that often warned people about the denizens of Kurayo. It didn’t help that she had a natural air of beauty about her. He had to shake his head free from his thoughts as he stepped closer to the scene and took a seat at the table. “How long have you been in the city?”

Author: Jessamyn, Posted: Sun Mar 11, 2018 8:11 PM, Post Subject: First Day [P,R]

Jessa tilted her head at him and sat back on his lap for a few seconds at most. “Well… You can or won’t. I will not force you Amorak.” Maybe she had mistaken the attraction he might have had for her. Maybe he was an entirely different breed of man. That in itself puzzled her but still, she tilted her head and let her blonde hair fall to the side.

“I don’t think you can necessarily force it. When you force something it breaks eventually.” From pressure. From hatred. There were a number of reasons why something forced broke eventually and she didn’t want that to happen. “It does make me happy that you will oblige.” She needed something but could it be that she could get it from him?

“I think the conditions will also maybe help you. No one should be alone… Even if I am terrible at following my own advice.” The sigh came after and she found herself being kissed by him. She returned it for the split second the kiss had happened. He was sealing their deal by that kiss and she knew it. “I’m away for most of the day… Most of the time. Dinner is about an hour after I get home every day.”

Getting off his lap she took his hand and pulled him with her. Giving him a tour of the house she got to her own room. It was cozy and decorated in bright colors like one would find in Sularia or Abed. The bed had many pillows and looked comfortable. “This is where you will sleep… You can put your belongings in the dresser over there.” She showed him it. “It’s empty… I’m afraid I don’t really fill up much space.” She bit at her lip a bit before speaking. “I should start dinner. Have you fed today?” It would take nothing at all to get him blood if she had to. "I don't need you going hungry. It would only make me worry if you decided to starve yourself. Not… that I think you would." She blushed a bit as she rubbed her neck.

"I'll go now so you can settle in." She left the room in a hurry after she heard his answer. Down the stairs into the kitchen where she started to cook. It was weird having someone here and it was almost frightening to her. She needed to get over her fear of people though as odd as it was. It was different in the brothel then it was here. She was vulnerable here.

Amorak was still skeptical of this whole situation. And for good reason- why sense did it make to invite someone you barely knew into your home and then play these little games. Jessamyn wasn’t a bad person, at least from what he had observed of her so far, but she had her own little plans that involved him being in this house. She was a beautiful young lady and he couldn’t fathom why she was drawn to him in particular. Her words only made him all the more cautious about this. She was a succubus after all, and it could have very well meant that she wanted to use him for feeding. Perhaps there was more to it but he had to be careful. Though her words seemed all too genuine which only added to his confusion about everything.

It was obvious that he hadn’t forgotten what happened between them hours ago and it was blissful despite it merely being a business conducted by consumer and provider. A part of him believed her when she said that she was attracted to him, even if it was just from a physical point of view.

Her closeness against him wasn’t helping matters and he couldn’t think as clearly as he usually did. “I’m not understanding this…arrangement.”, he said right before she justified how this would work. The look on his face explained the shock he felt when she made the arrangement between them more…formal. “Bedmate? And how do you figure this will work and I will oblige…?” He took a hard swallow when she mentioned how his body reacted to her; it was unfortunately true. It wasn’t something that the vampire could help with her- it had been that way since the brothel and he was cursing his luck about it even right now. And she must have known it too but with those words came those that also carried some sorrow that he could understand on some level.
Geez, this was awkward.

“Not sure if you can really force companionship, but you are right in that I can’t survive in this city alone, and it’s safer being here. If sex among other things that you demand, then so be it. I’ll stick around until our arrangement is unneeded.” This might prove more trouble than it was worth, but there was little he could do about it. Hesitantly his hand fell onto her upper thigh and stroke it softly. Such touches he wasn’t used to giving them to anyone and there had been only one person he could have done such to, but that time was over with her. “I understand the alone part. I’m not as old as you are, but I can certainly understand how you feel when you are by yourself even when surrounded by an entire city, Jessa. If this little arrangement will help you, then I accept your terms.” He took a great sigh before he pulled himself over towards her and kissed her. A short but full kiss to seal the deal, he supposed. Amorak still felt strange about it, but he would need a place to stay and a bed that didn’t seem like it would be empty for quite some time.

Jessa played with some strands of his hair as she smirked up at him. “Just Jessa. The one at the brothel is much more colder and crueler than I but that is to be expected with some of the men who romp their way through there.” Her voice was soft as she plotted everything in her head. She didn’t want him to be uncomfortable but that looked to be the way things were at the moment.

Her shoulders rolled as she thought about it. “I suppose I can’t describe it quite well… There’s an aura to you that lures me in like a fly to fire. It’s dangerous and I know but I can’t quite help myself. It’s that look you give me when I do something unexpected. The way you touch my skin even if you aren’t quite sure. All of it is interesting to me. It is new. Alluring.” She could see him getting lost in her but it seemed like as soon as he was he forced himself right back out.

Jessa put her arms around his neck and mulled over what he was saying to her. “I suppose that saying plaything is rather rude isn’t it?” Her face twisted a bit as she sorted through her list of vocabulary. It was hard trying to put exactly what she wanted into words. Though once he brought up his goal. “Oh, Amorak no. The only place I take silver is in the brothel. I’m not asking you to pay nor give me something in return… well, you sort of would be.”

She mused it over more as she kept seated where she was. “By plaything, I mean my bedmate. Bedmates aren’t paid nor are they forced. I wouldn’t force you if you complained but its the way you move with me that says you won’t. I’ve never had a companion before. I’ve always been alone with the occasional sister dropping for a visit but besides that, I have always wandered by myself. I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember… Perhaps at least three centuries by myself. I just want a companion for a while I suppose. If you would be willing to do so I would be grateful.” For a while she mused again before she opened her lips, "I do have much to learn when it comes to communicating with those outside the brothel… I am still young for my race but I have isolated myself quite well I suppose."

“I suppose you have a point”, he was forced to admit. In a place like this, the strong thrived on the meek and though he was confident in his own abilities, he knew that there were far more powerful and older creatures that lurked in the shadows all around. To be overconfident would make him an easy mark for them, so either way he would have to lay low. Jessamyn, on the other hand, due to her racial traits, could easily thrive here. Amorak didn’t know too much about succubus other than that they could easily seduce others. Perhaps she had worked her magic on him from before?

That would be the easy option to explain how he fell for her wiles…

His eyes darted to her hand as she played with his hair for a moment. He couldn’t tell whether she was toying with him or not- she seemed very good at that bit. Heaven knew he was an easy target for that due to his somewhat awkwardness with other people. Fortunately her sister departed leaving the two alone in the manor. And it was unfortunate because it was just the two of them here now, and she could do as she pleased with him. One had to question whether or not he was a guest or a prisoner. Shockingly, her words only made him worry all the more about it for some reason.

“So which side of you am I talking to now? The one from back at the brothel?”, he asked as she turned around to face him while still on his lap. Amorak would be lying to himself if he wasn’t getting tense from how close she was to him. She was confident that he wasn’t a monster and was testing such boundaries. Was it in her blood to defy them, after all? Trust was something he hadn’t thought about in a long time. Placing it in the wrong hands could mean demise, if not worse.

Jessamyn continued to toy with him and he felt odd as he felt her against his lip. It was similar to what had happened when he had her services. “Not too sure what you found interesting about me…” He wasn’t being modest- there was truth behind his words as he felt her against his body. He could smell that heavenly scent and was slowly getting lost in it all over again. He swallowed hard knowing that she would likely deploy whatever punishment she may had intended to if he hadn’t paid her earlier. Despite her being a rather small person…and full bodied, and seductive…and…

Amorak shook his head only to find her fingers swimming through those red locks of his. Green eyes sat and watched her for a long time, pondering what her game here was. “So I am your plaything as well as your guest? Is that right?” Brows knitted together as he sat back and plotted his head on a hand. “Jessamyn, you get the whole reason why I’m here in the first place, right? I can’t be spending all my money on you, though you are damn good at what you do… “

Jessasmyn offered up a chuckle to him. “Could have been a worse place to walk into. I would say you got pretty lucky but all the same, you could have said no before I showed up.” There was a smile on her face as she thought about it. “Of course, I am actually part succubus it helps me get all the energy and get out all the tension… Not to mention a girl has got to live. Kurayo is a good place for business like that.”

Once her threat of not allowing him had cleared the air she nodded. “Well good to hear. I would be sad if I had to turn you away.” For a moment Jessa was thinking a deep thought and she shook her head. “Like you would be the first one with a malice fetish to try and bite me.” She winked at him and pushed his hair behind his ear gently.

After Varsha had left she took a deep breath. “No, I would hope not. Varsha isn’t normally so unkind but she must have gotten hired for a job. Nasty business mercenary work. I much prefer work of the flesh… Though it can be just as dangerous depending on your patrons.”

Once she had fallen into his lap she tilted her head back and looked up at him. “Succubi aren’t shy.” She chuckled a bit more while thinking. “We just have different sides that we don’t want people to see… For instance, kindness is a weakness we don’t often show. We pick and choose those who would be worthy.”

“Mmm…” She thought about his question as she rolled on his lap and straddled him softly. Her purple eyes looked into his and she chuckled softly. “It’s not that I dislike company. It’s that I don’t often find company that fits my tastes outside of work… So I suppose you could call it… Very, very selective.” Her voice got quieter as she leaned in and nipped at his lip. “I don’t much trust anyone here in Kurayo. Even though kids could be killers. You never know… but you…” She tilted her head at him. “I don’t get that from you. Vampire or not. What you’ve done in your past has no bearing on your aura now. You are someone I would trust.” She showed him she was taking the hint from him but more so that she trusted him.

Her small arms snaked around him and she chuckled a bit. “Do you not like such things? Though I could see from your time in the brothel that you aren’t too well versed… or maybe you have forgotten. It is none of my business so if I step out of line or say something wrong you should tell me. You are my guest… not just my plaything… Not that I would use and abuse you. No, no.” She spoke softly as she moved his hair again with her fingers. “I don’t do that to people who interest me.”

Author: Amorak Graves, Posted: Fri Nov 3, 2017 8:12 PM, Post Subject: First Day [P,R]

Amorak gave her a soft nod; from a business standpoint, Jessamyn’s purpose for coming here made a lot of sense. Go where you could get the most amount of money….it was a smart decision and she was capable of holding her own since it seemed she been around here for a while now. He thought more about it and the longer he had, the more it made sense. After all, why was he here himself? Aside from being save from prosecution, he had to establish his own life now. “To be fair, i walked to the first place I spotted from when I got off the ship”, he retorted, not that it made her statement any less true. Had he known about it, he might have surely avoided it. “Still, I guess you are rather committed to your job then, with the way you handled me.” Amorak wasn’t used to being manhandled at all, let alone by a woman that was very much shorter than he was.

Her warning didn’t really scare him too but it was clear that despite her playful nature, Jessamyn was absolutely serious about not letting him return. He didn’t want to feel as though he was a burden but he did have to be smart about picking the time to depart. Once he rejuvenated his funds, then that would seem to be the best time. Until then, he was at the mercy of the lithe woman.

“Fair enough, I won’t be going anywhere soon”, he said, almost brooding like before his eyes rolled. “Let just say that I have to be careful with biting. I used to do it out of malice rather than feeding for nourishment.” He still remembered his last victim he went after when he was more monster than man. It haunted him to the point where he didn’t try to get blood from the source if he could help it. Bloodwine was a favorite of his since it sated his hunger and he wouldn’t have to worry about losing control. Still, he was concerned why she was being so nice to him, offering him so much when he didn’t do much to warrant it, in his mind. All he done was do a good gesture back at the alleyway.

Amorak nearly jumped when he heard her sister come down. “Charmed, I’m sure”, he spoke as he left her leave abruptly. “Any other surprises lurking about the household?” Normally he wouldn’t question such things, but if he was going to stay here for a while, he would rather know what was going on and who was here without having to worry about surprising moments. With his bag still slung over his shoulder, he followed her into the next room. “Other than that and to start a new life here, nothing really.” He sat down and watched the fire burn. “My own sister is out there, safe I hope. Meanwhile I’m trying to make heads and tails of this world.” Again he rolled his eyes at her proposal, seeing that she either couldn’t take the hint or she wanted to tempt fate. None of that matter when she fell onto his lap again. “I see that you are as shy as you are at work.” He sighed and let it be while he looked to the burning flames once again. He’d hope that Alexis was out there, safe and sound but right now he had to make sure that he could find some sort of footing here. Only then would he have a place for her to call home with him. “It’s alright- don’t get much company? Or are you very selective, Jessamyn?”

Author: Jessamyn, Posted: Fri Nov 3, 2017 7:16 PM, Post Subject: First Day [P,R]

Jessamyn thought about his question and gave an honest shrug. “I’ve lived all over Parvpora. I’ve found that the men who risk the most and really don’t care tend to live in Kurayo. You are more often to find someone to pay your high price here. They’ve lived long enough and know quality when they see it. You don’t tend to find that anywhere else in the world.” She gave Amorak as wink softly. It was merely a business decision in her own mind.

“It’s hard to judge a person who throws you on a bed and doesn’t let you say no.” She reminded him softly. “You did wander into a brothel after all without knowing what it was.” There was a chuckle from her lips as she thought about it. “I don’t know why she gave you to me though. My list is normally regulars and I’m booked months ahead of time. You got lucky.” Well, others would think he was lucky. She tugged him along and chuckled. “Is it now? I don’t see you attempting to stop it much.” They were on their way to her home now.

“Stay here for as long as you need to. If you leave before you are ready you might not have enough silver… Plus this is a one-time thing I’m offering you. You leave and I won’t let you come back.” She gave him a mischievous smile. Most of her décor of the manor was very much filled with deep colors. The most high-end furniture could be found in the manor.

Moving her hair back she chuckled. “Funny, I sounded willing to me. I don’t offer many to feed off me but some vampires very much like biting.” She smirked towards him. “I also know how to handle myself when getting bit unlike most of the youngsters in this city that are addicted to it.” She lectured him as she held up her finger.

“You actually brought someone home?” The female voice was stern as a redhead drow made her way down the stairs. “Hell does freeze over. I’m leaving for Canelux. Thanks for letting me stay here.” The half-drow was decked out in many weapons.

“Mmm, yeah… Lots of surprises. Try not to get killed Sister.” Jessamyn looked up to the very tall woman. She was taller than Amorak even as she pushed her way through and left the door. “My half-sister Varsha. She stopped in for a little bit to take care of someone. She is a mercenary over in Canelux but sometimes she gets brought over this way.” Jessamyn smirked.

She took him to the sitting room as she threw some wood into the fireplace. It was nice and cozy in the sitting room. “So what brought you to Kurayo? I mean you are a vampire so this place benefits you but… Was there another reason?” She propped up her chin as she stared towards him. “If you get hungry let me know… I’ve heard I got good blood.” She was teasing him now as she rubbed her neck and giggled flopping over his lap. She looked up at him. “I don’t have the opportunity to talk to many strangers like this so forgive me if I am overly curious.”

Thinking back to his own past, Amorak could relate more to the blight these children were undergoing. The loss of his home and family, his sister separated from him and made into a slave and him having to fend for himself for countless years. At least these boys had Jessamyn to help out and they also had each other. She did have a different air to her than she had back at the brothel. Perhaps the citizens here still wore masks at times, refusing to be vulnerable or else they would be taken advantage of. He hardly cared what the others thought of him since he also knew that when push came to shove, he wasn’t the sort that would just cave into their demands. She seemed to realized that about him, but there was so much that he wanted to keep in the dark about it.

It was no surprised that she was able to drag him into another situation but he supposed he couldn’t complain- he had injected himself into the ordeal in the first place and he didn’t mind helping out even further. It wasn’t like he had anywhere else to go or do. “What made you wish to come here to live?”, he asked, pondering the thought since she had family elsewhere. She was a tough one it seemed, but he wasn’t sure why she chose to pick a place like Kurayo.

Amorak nodded and accepted her answer only to shrug off her own question. It wasn’t that he didn’t think she was incapable of showing compassion outside of her work or anything, it was just weird for him to see out here especially when it hadn’t been that long since she took him by the reigns and into the downward spiral of lust momentarily. “I don’t think that, it’s just a bit strange is all, but I shouldn’t have judged you so quickly. For that, I’m sorry.” She led him towards the tailor shop and was soon holding onto the rather large basket of clothing. He was happy that his money went to good usage and especially when he saw the look on the children’s faces when they returned to the spot. He lowered the basket onto the ground while they went through the clothes and got dressed. Glaciem was coming soon and they would have to keep warm for the coming months.

He held his palm against his face when one of them asked her again if they were in a relationship, trying to keep from chuckling out loud. At least they would okay a bit longer but his heart was heavy to see them leave. “You can only do so much for them, you can’t blame yourself. At least you are trying”, he spoke seriously before being pulled away, again. “Hey, this is getting old now…” It took some time before he noticed that they were in the ritzier part of Kurayo and that there were more vampires here than any other race. He had heard that they were more so the faces of the city. They stopped at her home and he followed inside. “Well, I appreciate it greatly. I probably would be here for a few days at most.” Amorak looked around the cozy manor before his eyes set on her and rolled. “Funny, but I’ll do that as a last resort. I make it my mission to find willing participates instead of forcing them. Too many bad memories of doing that, let’s just say.”

Jessamyn’s purple eyes were so much different out in the city. They were full of nurture compared to the lust she had earlier. Was it all for show? Maybe but that was also who she was. She just knew when and where to do both. “Good, a good man like you shouldn’t be taken by surprise then. Kurayo could learn a thing or two.”

Once he lightened up she took a breath of relief. So he had just as much personality as she did. “Aye, they need it a lot. Most of their lives were taken away from them when their families died. They are hardy though and up until I got a hold of them they were stealing.” She chuckled a bit. “At least if they don’t steal they won’t get killed for that.”

Jessa took his arm and chuckled. “Not much a choice indeed. We can go to my home after we pick up the clothes for the boys.” She pulled his arm along so he followed her. “I must say that I don’t. I get a stipend from my mother to live in Kurayo without having to work… and she is from a wealthy family back in Canelux. However, she was always motherly and nurturing so it has always stuck with me. She does whatever she can to help those in need. She taught me about life and continues to. Kurayo may be harsh but I am strong enough to withstand the tides.”

There was a light blush to her cheeks for a minute before she laughed. “Believe me when I first started I had a terrible time. I learned how to be a hostess when I lived in Nisshoki. The men were terrible there but once you put your foot down with them and made them respect you, you could live a pretty decent life. Kurayo is no different. A flex of your power every once in a while keeps you safe Amorak. Plus being nurturing in the sex service isn’t really wanted… You end up getting men with mommy issues.” She chuckled a bit at him.

“What makes you think that I am not really nice outside the brothel anyways?” They got to a small tailoring shop. “I brought the silver.” She dropped off the silver that he had gotten her and got a big basket of clothing.

“Took a lot to make clothing so small but they should be good for a while. With room to grow too.” The seamstress smiled as she got the silver.

Jessa handed the basket to Amorak. “Thank you. I’ll be back when they need more.” She beckoned Amorak to follow her. Once they back at the children she handed it out.

“He’s your boyfriend Miss Jessa?” One of the boys asked again and Jessa laughed.

“No you silly boy. He is just helping.” Once the boys were dressed warmly the little drow boy gave Jessa back her shawl and she wrapped it around her shoulders. “Stay warm alright? And out of trouble. If anyone gives you too much trouble make sure you tell me. I’ll set them straight.” They nodded and Jessa sighed a bit as they ran off. “I wish they could go elsewhere.”

After a few moments of thought, she grabbed Amorak and dragged him off. She got to one of the better parts of the city. There was a small manor there. “This is my home. Though I’m all by myself.” She opened the door and let him in. “You can have one of the guest bedrooms. I have food in my kitchen though if you need it. Though from how warm you are I bet you need blood eh?” She moved her hair and teased him with her neck with a chuckle.

Amorak didn’t stop when she called out his name; he wasn’t going to take back that money. The kids needed it a lot more than he did and besides he knew what he had to do if he needed some more. But then he felt her taking his arm and with a soft sigh, he ceased his walking and turned to her. There was a much more serious look on his face than it had when he was bumbling like a ninny. His eyes were much sharper and there was a different air about him. “I know how this city works- the ruthless rule and any sort of kindness can be taken advantage of or course. But trust me, I’m not a stranger to being ruthless but…I’m not that sort any more.”

With that said, his demeanor lightened up, “Besides, they needed it a lot more than I do. And I keep my extra money tucked away from sight.” He didn’t really care who saw what he did; if he was cornered by some greedy folk, then let them. Just because he wasn’t the monster he used to be didn’t mean he would just be a pushover. Jessamyn seemed very concerned for someone that just a recently new customer.

She was right though; he was running out of spare silver. Hell, it hadn’t been a full day…uh night…whatever it was. He looked up to the sky and then back to her, wondering about the snow that was coming soon. While Amorak didn’t want to admit it out loud, the offer was a lot better than what he was going to deal with the taverns here. “I’m guessing I don’t have much of a choice in this matter, again. Alright then.” There was no point in arguing and from there, he could at least plan out his next course of action. For now, he would oblige and assist her further.

“I know how it is to be out there without anyone to help you. They reminded me of myself, another victim of someone else’s greed and hunger. I didn’t care who saw me give it to them or what- wasn’t going to let them have to suffer any more than what they had.” And he damn sure didn’t want them to become killers like he had turned into during the darkest point of his life.

“Wasn’t expecting you to be the nurturing type though, I’ll admit.”

Jessamyn was joking with the children and accepting their kisses. “I’m going to marry you, Miss Jessa!” One of the boys yelled and Jessa shook her head and laughed.

“I’m not the marrying type. You get yourself a pretty nice little girl your age. Okay?” They looked disappointed at her but knew what she meant. Jessa was hundreds of years older than they were. She smelled Amorak first before she saw him. At first, she was going to yell at him for stalking her but as she took the the bags of money she stopped and looked shocked. Such a nice guy was going to be eaten alive.

“Oh… Miss Jessa has a boyfriend!” The boys yelled before running off.

“I do not!” She yelled after them. She put the bags of silver away so she could get them clothes later before catching up to him. “Wait, Amorak.” She grabbed his arm. “The city is going to get you killed. You can’t just give your silver like that. Taverns will rip you off if they catch you being that nice.” She was starting to lecture him but then she just smiled a bit. She appeared to be fighting with something.

“You can’t have a lot of silver left. Help me get clothes for the boys… It’s going to start snowing soon I can feel it… In return,” she struggled for a few moments as she spoke, “I’ll let you stay at my house so you don’t have to deal with the tavern rates. However, don’t tell anyone.” She put her hands on her hips. “I take care of them on my off time. In this city, you need someone to look after you when you are that young. Orphans of house wars they are. Most children end up getting killed but some of them are lucky. If someone takes care of them they will realize they don’t have to be cutthroat all the time… Kurayo weeds the weak out but it’s alright to have a heart.”

The woman was light but it was still awkward for him to scoot over to fetch her payment. But the exchange was done and settled and both parties got what they sought. Or at least Amorak had thought. He was a bit confused about the situation- hell, he wanted to get out of the damn place one minute, and then the next, he was practically accepting the business’s services with open arms. What was it about Jessamyn that led him to fall into that trap when he had been so unwilling at first? In any regard, he found her kissing him again, but surprisingly he wasn’t charged for it. The embrace ceased and he got off of the bed and started to get dressed. It was no surprise that she was able to swiftly leave, considering that she barely had any clothes to bring with. His fingers felt against his lips as she bid him farewell and finished up dressing. “Yeah, but until then, take care.” He didn’t know whether she meant it or that she wanted his business, but he guess that if it were to happen again, he wouldn’t fight against it as much as he had.

After he departed from the brothel, and had some of the other workers and the owner offering their own goodbyes, Amorak found himself a few hundred silver coins short, but fortunately still had plenty to last him for a bit. It was still weird for him to see that nightsky even though he was sure only a few hours had passed and they were still in the middle of the afternoon. But on this island, who knew if that was really the case. He started to head further into the city, carefully observing how things ran here- particularly how the creatures of the night treated any humans he passed by. It was surely a much different society than the rest of the world as it would often be in reverse of what was going on. He wasn’t particularly a fan of it, but he knew better than to stand against the city’s whims and simply let it be. After a bit, he started to travel down the darker routes- the alleyways where it wasn’t much different than the sights of the main streets. Perhaps in some ways this was better than other towns as they hid such things away and put on a guise for the rest of the world. Meanwhile, Kurayo didn’t have to wear such masks and hide themselves- they could truly be free.

He was rounding the corner when he overheard some voices on the other side. It was clear that it was a woman’s voice with several children’s that followed and he peeked to see exactly that. The poor things looked like they had been abandoned and she was providing them with what she could. The vampire sighed as he searched through his bag and took out some of his remaining pouches of silver. The plan was to go over and hand them over to her without giving her a chance to fuss, but as he went over there, something didn’t seem right. He could smell the familiar scent of roses, but thought nothing of it as he approached them from behind. But as soon as he got a good look at her face, his jaw nearly dropped. This was the same woman that had practically dominated him earlier but to see her in that situation as she was now? It was a head scratcher and before he could mutter a single word, he looked to the children and moved over towards her and handed her the bags silently before making his leave.

She chuckled at him as he moved with her to get the silver. He didn’t even want to know what she did to those who couldn’t pay her. Though she had known he wasn’t the time to stiff her. “Always Amorak. Always.” She leaned down and kissed him again. “I do hope you come back to play with me again. You have talent in the making.”

After he said her farewells to her she found herself tired in a rare instance. “I’m done for tonight.” She took her sacks of silver since she wasn’t one of her friend’s actual workers she got to keep it all. “I’ll be back again. Tonight was a good turn out.” At five hundred silver a piece… she had herself a good income. She didn’t have to work for a while.

Jessamyn braided her hair and put on a nice deep purple dress. She snuggled a dark shawl around her shoulders and went out into the crowded city. Everyone who knew her from the brothel didn’t bother her. They had witnessed what she did to the last stalker and ever since then no one even tried. She bought a basket full of food and made her way to an alleyway. “Kids are you here?”

Her voice was so much softer out in public than in the brothel. She did what she did for income and pleasure but who she was outside of it differed greatly. Five children of different night races ran over to her. “Miss Jessamyn! You came back like you said.”

“I never break my promises,” she booped each of them on the nose before she started to give them foo. “I’ll get you guys some better clothing to. It’s starting to get cold out here… You should have told me you were cold.” A little drow boy shivered a bit and she took off her shawl and wrapped it around him. “Now I want that back as soon as I bring you better clothes okay?” He nodded and kissed her cheek.

“You are the best Miss Jessa.” He hugged her and the other children followed suit.

“No, no my little angels you are the best.” If she could take them all in she would have. However, she would have to open an orphanage to even remotely take care of all the city’s youth. Something she didn’t have the heart to do. She took care of who she could though.

She seemed much more akin to a predator waiting for the kill rather than a brothel worker. One that especially took an interest in him for some reason, not that he was saying he was special or something over the other men she probably entertained. Regardless, she wasn’t going to let him get away and that was made painfully aware when she tossed him back on the bed. He was only able to prop himself onto his elbows before she quickly met up with him and straddled on his lap. He still thought that this was all a mistake despite her play on words earlier.

All things have a reason for why they happen…

His mouth and mind wanted to say that it wasn’t exactly true, but his body spoke more than either could and she would undoubtedly take a keen notice of that fact. “I don’t think you’ll find that much fun with me”, he kept trying to escape but froze as soon as she kissed him. With her being so close know, the vampire could smell not only roses on her, but also lavender and vanilla. They were his favorites scents back when he was courting others. But he had never made it to this exact point and he felt a little off that it would cheapen the experience being as this was. But he knew that there was no escape and secretly he could feel himself giving into lust.

It wasn’t terrible long before he went with the flow and met her up in a brief kiss before she proceed to get to work. He wasn’t as experienced as she was, so thankfully she was able to teach him a great deal of things and returned a good amount back to her. This side of her differed from the previous, more aggressive woman that dragged him all the way up here with ease.

By the time they were done, he felt exhausted and looked to her before reaching for his pants for one of the silver pouches he kept there just in case. All the others were safely tucked away from sight. He had a feeling that she wouldn’t let him get away with a free service, else why wouldn’t she have gotten up first before collecting the payment?

With some difficulty of her still on top of him, he was able to retrieve the payment and hand it over to her. “Guess that was a good price for the best.” Heaven knew if she was truly that, but right now, he felt as her words had been true.

A smirk crossed her face as he spoke to her. “My… my… my…” A giggle left her lips, “I do like it when they send me men who had basically no idea what they're doing. It means I get to watch your face react in ways it probably never has before.” Her slender finger tapped on his lower lip almost innocently. Her perfume went from a strong rose smell to his favorite scent on a lady. It was one of the many techniques she had.

The look on his face spoke a lot to her. It told her how much he knew. How much he had done in the past. How uncomfortable he was in the situation. It all mattered on some level of how she would deal with him. “Am…o…rak.” She let each syllable leave her lips slowly. There was almost visibly lust dripping from her. Contagious even. “Nothing is a mistake. All things have a reason for why they happen… and right now your body is speaking to you. Telling you what it wants. Mmm?” She gave him a questioning look as she chuckled.

“Oh… no, no Amorak.” There she went pronouncing his name slowly. Each syllable was made out to be something special as she pushed him back down on the bed and moved to straddle him. “You are the best type of customer.” She kissed his lips so much more gently than she had dragged him up to the room. “I said I was going to show you the best things of Kurayo… and I damn well meant it.”

She took him through the motions, even going as far as to correct them as they went. It was much more intimate then one would think. Jessa was a teacher first and foremost, for all of her bossy attitude there were things she was soft in. She pleasured every inch of his body and made sure that he learned how to do it back. There was no telling how long the half-succubus had him in there.

By the end of it, she was still very much straddled across him. Her hand came up and she smiled down at him. “The price for the best is five hundred silver pieces.”

What the hell did he get himself into this time?

Amorak looked on as the women continued with their business, leading the patrons, men and women alike to their destined rooms and doing gods knew what. Oh, he had some ideas but he immediately shook them away. What was he really doing here? This was all a mistake and he was probably better off getting out of this place and heading to a much more comfort place. A drink or two was starting to look really good to him. The vampire was about to rise up to his feet when he was stopped by the sight of a blonde woman whose height was definitely much shorter from his own and was practically naked as far as he was concerned. His face would have been full blown red, much like his hair had it still been capable of it and she didn’t hold back. The next thing he knew, he was pulled from the seat like putty in her hands. “Wait now…” His words didn’t shake her from her objective, which he figured was him.

“Yes, I’m the new guy, but I think…” She spoke again, and he felt the embarrassment rushing over him. Amorak didn’t partake in this sort of things, not even in his past life. The other worker there didn’t help matters and he was led up the stairs and towards her room.

He was sure that he looked ridiculous right there, but how in the world was he suppose to react to all of this? He would have pleaded once more, but he was thrown onto the bed and looked at her with awe. Despite her short stature, Jessamyn was fairly strong. Then again, he was already sure that she wasn’t human, but wasn’t sure what she was. After staring at her and her assets all stupidly, he shook his head and cleared his throat. “Amorak. I’m Amorak, now see here…I think there’s been some sort of mistake. I am new here but I didn’t know what I was walking into… “

Or more so rather being dragged into. Still his eyes were focused much more on her body than anything else. He would be lying if he said that he didn’t find her attractive; on the contrary, she was appealing to the eyes though he would have preferred to see her fully clothed first. “Great, now that that’s settled….uh, I’m sure you have better customers waiting for you.” He went to get back up and start to walk around her with an awkward smile. “Have a goo… His words were left unfinished as she pushed him back down onto the bed again.

“Dammit… “

Jessamyn sat up in her room lounging back in her chair with a smirk across her face. She was a dark-skinned beauty with violet eyes and long waist length blonde curls. Though she was small there was a lot of power radiating from her. Mostly it was that of the psionic nature. Most people couldn’t pick up on it nor did they care. By the time they noticed it was all over and they were in her web. She had her head propped up as she watched a man going crazy. He humped the air, he did crazy moves, he even let out shouts of pleasure. To him, he was having the time of his life with Jessamyn. For Jessamyn, she loved watching him make a fool out of himself.

“Jessa, you are up next for our newest arrival. He has no idea what this place is… So treat him good.” The owner of the brothel that was letting Jessamyn operate was a good friend of hers.

“Oh, I do love the new types…” They were so fun to break under her. She released the man from the spell and he absolutely had no clue as Jessamyn took the position on top of him so he thought it was still her. “I have the next customer now.” She leaned down and kissed him softly. “Come back okay?” She let him hurry off and Jessa didn’t bother to dress.

Her garter belt and undergarment was all she had on as the rest of her assets were all hanging out. Making her way down the stairs she spotted him like an all you could eat buffet. She fluffed her hair out as she walked to him grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. “You are the new one?” Her accent was thick Arriese and she gave him a wink. “I promise you by the end of this trip not only will you know what this place is but you will be a little bit more acquainted with Kurayo.”

Dragging him up the stairs it was obvious how much taller he was than Jessamyn. He was practically hunched over as she forcibly took him up the stairs and into her room. “Be easy on him Jessa. He’s new we don’t want to scare him.”

“Oh please, this is just the teasing part.” Jessa giggled with the other girls as she brought him into her room and pushed him down on the bed. She closed the door for a bit of privacy as not to scare the newcomer anymore. “My name is Jessamyn and I’m supposed to show you the best talent in all of Kurayo.” Her hands were on her hips. “But they never gave me your name Red.”

Amorak still couldn’t believe what happened…how in the world did he end up here? The thought never left his mind even months later as he was aboard a creaky and very questionable ship that seemed as if it could break apart at any moment. It wasn’t wasn’t his concern though- he was more so worried about why he ended up in Revaliir, and where his sister was. Their connection was faint, but it was still there so she was somewhere here and safe. That was a blessing at least and since he was told that Kurayo was a safe haven for people like…him.

People like him…he had to give a pained chuckle about that bit. It had been a long time since he was human and when he was turned, he thought of himself as a monster and behaved as such.

But that was long ago and he had to start anew in a better fashion.

The ship fortunately made it to the island docks and he was one of the first to leave the bloody ship and set foot on the harbor. His green eyes looked around with interest before he slung his bag over his shoulder and started his way over to the closest building. Like told, he could see that even in midday, the nightsky loomed over them. This was a paradise of the dark sort and he let it come over his thoughts for a bit before stepping through the doors and was meant by a lady at the counter. “Ah, new here?” She observed him with a hungry look before smiling at him. He nodded before his eye caught on to the plentiful bounty of women wearing various amounts of cloth, from fully clothed to barely any at all. “Uh, I think I’m at the wrong place”, he said as he placed two and two together but the receptionist merely smiled wider. “You are at the right place at the right time, now please, be seated.” She pointed into the lobby and her voice was kind yet dominating enough for Amorak to follow through and do as she asked. “The next lady will be available for you soon.”

He fell into his seat and hung his head back to sigh. This wasn’t exactly what he had planned on doing his first day here, but he suppose he might as well partake in what the locals did, right?
