It had only been a week since Angel had put the mask onto his face and allow it's abilities to flow through him. He still had not gotten used to the feeling of power he has within him, despite feeling like he had always had this source of energy. The only thing that definitely was different was his obligation to the mask. The mask seemed to have some sort of soulbinding power to it, so it was impossible to take off now. Not only that, but the mask had taken away all feelings from Angel. He was no longer able to feel sadness or happiness. He was no longer able to feel sympathy or empathy for others. All he could feel was the obligation to follow the mask, which was his new master. He knew he shouldn't follow him, but he knew he wanted to for all the power he had been given.

It felt like all of his humanity was taken away. But nobody ever said that was harmful.

It had only been a week since Angel retreated to the lonely Koschei Forest to avoid human interaction. He didn't know what a group of humans would try to do with him and his mask. Over time, he had assimilated into the life without humans. All he needed was his mask so he could slowly adapt to his new abilities. All he had now was the sounds of the forest and the darkness of the night as his natural companions. And all he could do was think and listen to the new voice in his mind. Hope was no longer a concept he was able to use, and hope was the only way for Angel to keep some of his human nature.

The young masked man sat down and watch the forest make it's movements with each push of air through the swamp, along with the lights from far away floating around to bring despair to those not prepared. All Angel and his mask was waiting for was the day where he and his mask could go to town without the fear of having no connections or preparation.
