Vinsue could since that the dark aria was also throwing the girl for a loop but kept walking. the city was not far and she knew that some type pf magic had to be used to make the city that way,

Synthesis nodded at the dragon's hazy explanation. She had to admit she had suspected as much in responce, though it didn't help to sate her curiosity. She resisted any urge to investigate and followed Vinsue's lead in the direction on the Island's main city.
Synthesis had arrived via a tiny rowing boat which she had payed a middle-aged fisherman to transport her on. She knew nothing of the place they were headed and therefore counldn't understand why in the middle of the afternoon she could see a darkness blacker than night shrouding the city's buildings from clear view. She couldn't understand it. She wondered, did Vinsue see the same thing as her? Was she hallucinating?

"Im not sure what's so bad about it it just gives me a bad feeling like it's a trap or something in it may try to attack." she said again looking about. nothing stirred and nothing seemed to have unnatural movements. she turned got up and started walking after Synthesis got to her feet. she wanted to get to town before sundown.

"and it's more a predatory instinct, wolves and other predators alftan have the ability to sense danger." she said. before long the city was in view. the city gave her a simuler filling but she hid it this time and ignored it. the sun now painted the sky red as it was disappearing. she put her hood up so it would hide her face from anyone that might recognize her and want to cause trouble.

Synthesis nodded. She hadn't payed the barn too much attention before as it had looked innocent enough. Now she felt wary of it. She didn't quite understand how dragon senses worked but they seemed to pick up on something that normal people couldn't. The druid wasn't the most observent person in existence by a long shot but she did notice that Vinsue didn't seem very relaxed and was looking around almost agitatedly. Something seemed to be upsetting her. Was it the barn?
"We'll avoid it for sure then," Synthesis assured the other, "But can you be a bit more specific in why its bad? I'm just curious is all and I'm assuming this has something to do with you being a dragon?"

She smiled as she watched the girl get excited. "You did good." she said then watched as the girl almost did it again then stopped. She never talked to the trees but she fet the girl felt bad for hurting one.

"no im good but i feel we should avoid that barn.
" She could fill that something in it was a harm or threat and decided that they should get going. the town was not far and neither was the dark of night.

Synthesis took Vinsue's advice and reduced the size of her fireball. She focused on fueling it before tossing it forwards. To her immense joy, the fire did not diminish as it soared towards a nearby tree. It hit with a hiss and a cloud of smoke, which dissipated to reveal a charred circle of bark in its wake, just inches bellow where Vinsue's own mark was.
Keeping her arm and wrist loose was difficult, but not as difficult as sufficiently fueling the fire while remaining mentally flexible and trusting it to fly from your hand rather than stop with it. Synthesis was thankful that it was more of a mental challange than a physical one, however, given her physical weakness was probably her greatest.
She squealed with exitement and pleasure.
"Gosh, thank you!" She exclaimed, "I feel like a real sorceress now! I swear, I'll practice every day."
She summoned another glob of fire and almost threw it but stopped herself. She decieded against getting to overconfident with fire when there was plantlife around which could get seriously damaged. She expected even now that poor tree was mirabley beginning to rebuild its bark that they had broken. She extended her mind towards it and offered a small amount of her own meager energy as compensation which the tree automatically took without remorse or gratitude.
The druid looked to Vinsue again. "Is there anything you want to do while we've stopped?"

"It would have worked a lot better if you keep it fueled. but the bigger one will likely get you hurt." she said before taking her flame under her control. "Try again. just keep it fueled." she said and watched as she again tried so that she could give her hope. it would remain strong just the distance it traveled would depend on the girl.

Synthesis did as she was told, struggling to maintain concentration. When she finally had it the right size, she shifted it to only one hand and tried to think of it as a pebble or piece of rock. She made a throwing motion and watched as it fizzled and almost blew out with the air rushing past it. However she managed to fuel it a little more with her mind and the weak flame, sure enough, did release from her hand and fall to the ground a couple feet away from her. Synthesis was torn between dissapointment and exitement. She created another piece of fire, this time a huge fireball and clutched it between her two hands.
"Do you think it will work better if I make it bigger?" she asked, keen to try again.

"That's the idea of it." She said as she saw the flame in the right spot then it started to die. "Stop thinking of other things and focus on the flame before it goes out." She said then watched as it was again the right size."Good now open your eyes and have the flame rest in one hand. than just think of it like a stone and just toss it. like this." she than looked as if she was throwing a baseball. it hit a tree and went out. "our turn."

Synthesis did as she was told. She allowed her fire to float down into her palm, but not so close that it would burn her, and held it out in front of her. She could hear it crackle and feel it warm her skin. She sneakily peaked over at Vinsue and tried to match the size of their flames. When it was close enough, she looked ahead and slid her eyes shut again. It was weird maintaining the fire without looking at it, especially seeing as all her concentration was upon it. Whenever Synthesis had conjured a flameball before it was so she could concentrate on seeing around and not on the fire itself. Her mind wandered to what the trick was when throwing fire. Was it strength? Was it magical energy? Was it concentration? She wasn't good at any of these but she was determined to try.

She took the book and sat down. The language was like that of when she was young. She noticed the light the girl was playing with and than returned to reading. "I can see how it may be a bit hard to understand. but let's start with a light or flame in your hands. just close your eyes and focus on it being in your hand." She gladly said then made a flame in her hand.

Synthesis pulled her Druid Spellbook from the bag. It was old and worn with a green cover and a tree drawn within a circle on the front. She understood the language within it but the problem was that it was a very old version of the language which had stumped her on many occasions. On top of that there was much reference to magical theory and techniques that she didn't know to start with.
She handed it to Vinsue to have a look at and made to sit down on a springy tuft of grass. She patted the ground next to her in invitation before leaning back on her hands. She closed her eyes and focus on summoning a tiny spark of fire. She allowed it to hover just above her nose in a sort of warm up excersice before allowing it to grow into the size of an ink pot and moving it about a foot above her head. This was about the limit of her ability with fire, though she suspected more practice might yield better results.

"Yea thats not a bad idea." she said to stopping. she politely declined the water. "I would not mind helping you improve a bit. can i take a look at the book?" She said. She had always loved to read and may be able to interpret some of it for her. She did now every main language in Revaliir and a few others.

"That's amazing!" Synthesis praised, "You've done so well for yourself. You should be proud."
They then walked for a short while in silence and the sun began ever so slowly to creep down again in the sky. Clouds in the distance promised a small amount of rain but not for quite some time, depending on the wind. It was even a possibility that it would miss the travellers altogether. A river meandered slowly to the east and there appeared a farmhouse in the distance which may or may not have been inhabited.
Finally, druid suggested a short rest. "Do you want to stop for a little while?" She asked and pulled her canteen out of her back for a swig of water. Then she offered the bottle to Vinsue, "I thought, seeing as you are here, I could practice some fire based magic. I can only summon a light as it is and I'd really like to be able to throw fireballs! My book explains how but its often quite hard to understand some of the terminology inside."

"I was born the colored i am now. as of why they are colored the way they are i do not know. i have met very few of my kind and never knew my parents." she said not knowing the answer her self. "I was raised to 16 by a human and abandoned my hatch day. It took me a year to understand survival instances and many times i almost starved but since then i have strived to stay strong and to this day i remain undefeated."

"Sorry, I didn't think of that." Synthesis giggled and peered at the other girl's face, "You have lovely eyes… I'm not surprised your a special dragon! So tell me about your armour, please. I can guess it's hard for defence but about the colour? Do you develop it as you grow or are you born with it? Is it for camouflage or for recognising other dragons or does it depend on your parents?"
Sythesis guessed they'd been walkin for quite some time now but she wan't hungry or tired. She realised she didn't really know where they were going or how far and hoped that Vinsue did. In half an hour or so she would suggest they stop for a quick rest and she would read from her Druid Spellbook. Maybe Vinsue might be interested in it. Maybe Vinsue could help her improve her fire based magic; fireballs and such. That would be fun.

"It is a bit hard to explain the human appearance thing but its is not an allusion. Not all of us can turn but those that can are special. I am glad to be able to switch for the simple fact of it making talking a lot easier and allows me to go into a village or town without getting hunted." She said as she watched the girl almost trip. She smiled at the girls curiosity and let her hood down. her long straightish hair she left inside the robe.

"You could have just asked and i most likely would have dropped my hood for you." She said with a joyed almost laughing voice.

"That's all facinating! I never would have thought I would learn about dragons. Life is just full of wonderful surprises sometimes. What about this, though!? You can turn into a human! Is that normal of your kind? Is it some illusion?" She gestured up and down the humanoid body the dragon now used before turning and walking backwards to change things up as she walked. This way, she could also see Vinsue in her human form, "Of course, you can ask me anything you feel like, too. You seem to know my most guarded secrets already so I'm not too worried! Or you could just change the subject if I'm getting too personal." She laughed lightly, as seemed natural.
The other was very pale like the druid but whisps of white hair peaked out of her hood which was the opposite. Nothing else was revealed by the brown robe so the druid leaned to the side to sneak a look at the other's face. She almost fell over in the process but caught herself and grinned sheepishly. Had she seen a flash of gold? Gold eyes?

The surprise was obvious on her face after she mentioned her blood lines. "I have known both and you have the aura of both around you not to mention you have the features of both." She explained that thought about the questans. "I can use both at once if it is on the same target or aria it just wears me down faster. and electricity can hurt me but fire can not. as of elements we get them based on our inheritance though they come as we age. And I do not mind the questans for the questans it helps break the silence."

Synthesis was surprised by Vinsue's knowledge of her background. She really did have the keen senses of an animal. Or maybe she just knew the signs to looks for like her eyes and wings and slightly pointy K9 teeth.
She was also facinated to learn that the other had combined her elements to make them stronger than if they were alone. She couldn't quite bring herself to believe that she could do the same but she was curious nonetheless.
"Does that mean you can produce both at the same time?" Synthesis asked, "Can either of them hurt you? Are dragons born with elements or do they chose them? Or a mixture? Sorry for all the questions. You must feel like your under examination!"

"You will get stronger with age and practice. both your blood lines are strong. though they may seem to oppose each other now as you learn to use it they will eventually work together wich will make you more powerful than a full blood of either source." She said as she picked up some disappointment.

"It took me a long time to figure out galvanizing magic because i knew that of fire, anytime i tried to use electricity it turned to flame, but now i know how to use both in a way that makes it stronger."
she said she was quite glad that her elements were not exact opposites like the girls was.

Synthesis nodded and followed the other.
"What magic can I do?" she paused to think, " Yes, I can communicate with plants. I can help them grow a little too. I know a spell called "Parvpora's Sight" that helps you see in the dark and I can manipulate fire just enough to summon a light. I can also sense magic if there is a lot of it in an area or around a person. For example, I can sense a little emanating from you. The only problem is that most magic tires me out quite easily; I still haven't been able to build up enough stamina."
Synthesis felt like sulking as she said so but resisted the urge. It couldn't be helped and with hard work she hoped she would get there - eventually. For now, she should appreciate what she had. Indeed, the sun did shine in the sky and a gentle breeze served to make the grass ripple like waves over the hills. Everything smelled fresh with the potential of a new day.

"I will be going by boat." She said as she started walking. at first she had nothing to say then after a bit of time. "So how much magic you know? i mean you said you talked to the trees and such." she asked. she knew both of the girls bloodlines were great at magic. both have taken her powers from her yet she was glad to have them back and has learned how to avoid being stuck with it.

"Well, that sounds just super!" Synthesis said jovially as she finished her breakfast, "I think it'll be nice to sleep in a propper bed soon so a city sounds like a fine idea! Also, I'll probably want to head back to the mainland next so getting a ship there should be convinient. Will you be coming along or flying home?"
Synthesis stood to stretch her legs. A nice warm bed sure did appeal to her, especially after a of day of basking in the glory of nature. Maybe when she stopped to have lunch, she could teach herself a new spell. She had intended to learn a couple in the forest but that hadn't turned out quite to plan.

"Acily i have not been to many places on this continent and those i have been i come to regret." She said as an answer to the question. there had to be many good arias yet she had not seen the yet.

She looked at the berry as the girl offered it to her. "Thanks but im full and buries do not settle well with me." she said then got up and offered the girl a hand to help her up. "If im correct there is a city on the island that may have a ship that we could use to cross." she said not knowing that the city was one of outcasts.

Author: Illusory Angel, Posted: Wed May 3, 2017 11:20 AM, Post Subject: [Open] the call

Synthesis nodded and began plucking the berries and popping them into her mouth one at a time. She didn't know where she was going next so she wasn't sure how to answer. Before she could come up with anything, she was most surprised to see Vinsue transform into a human. Thankfully, apart from a slight widening of the eyes, she was able to hide her shock.
"Hi," she said a little stupidly. It was the same person sitting in front of her, she knew, but just in a different form. However, this didn't stop her from feeling the urge to greet the other anew and reintroduce herself. Instead she shook her head to clear it and focused on the question she had just been asked, "I don't honestly know where I'm going. I'm a traveller, you see, and I go wherever seems like a good idea at the time. There's nowhere I need to be. I have no commitments or responsibilities. Do you know of any nice areas I could visit? Coming here was certainly not the best idea I've ever had but at least I got to meet you."
By now she had almost finished her berries. With only about four left, she offered one to Vinsue. "Berry?"

Author: Vinsue, Posted: Wed May 3, 2017 5:51 AM, Post Subject: [Open] the call

once the branch was out of her mouth she laid back down. "Yea I ate before finding the berries. Just thought you would be hungry saying i was."

She half spread her wings so that the sunlight had a larger surface to hit so that it would make digesting a bit easier. "So, Synthesis, where do you plan on going if i may ask?" she said remembering the girl asked her the same question not too long ago. She would be more than willing to keep her safe on the way. Very few things would willingly attack a dragon or something it was fallowing. Corse she did not need to be in her dragon form to be a protecter.

she shifted to her human form. the transformation took little over a minute to complete. She wore a simple brown robe. its hood was up over her wight hair. her snow wight skin of her face and hands were al that was visible. She was siting crosslegged on the ground. a backpack on her back. she took it off and put the pyramid in it than put it back on.

Synthesis woke up slowly to find herself alone. She was a little disapointed but the day was warm, the grass smelt fresh and there was no sign of their glowing friend anywhere nearby. She stretched and sat lazily on the ground, in no particular rush to get anywhere.
Then, quite a way away, she spotted the large shape of Vinsue, glittering as the sun reflected off her white scales. She waved without getting up and after several minutes the dragon arrived with a branch laden with plump berries. At first, she thought the dragon was going to eat them herself but then she realised that it was probably for her. Vinsue might find it difficult to pick and eat the berries if she didn't have the small nimble fingers of a humanoid.
"Thank you," She said, reaching to take them from her friend, "I'm starving! Have you eaten?"

The sun was high in the sky when she awoke. She was glad to see the girl was asleep. she got up and stretched with a yawon. She was hungry and knew the girl would be two when she awoke. so she set off on a hunt leaving the pyramid beside the coals of the now dead fire.

She had caught and ate a dear and watched off before looking for something the girl could and might eat. after a bit she found a barry bush and decided to rip off a limb that was full of barrys and bring it back to camp. she did not know what type they were but she had seen humans eat them in the past. than she started to walk back to camp.

Synthesis nodded and settled down to sleep as well, unsure of whether the dragon would be there when she woke. Either way, she was glad to have met Vinsue and wished her well. In a couple of minutes she was unconscious, breathing deeply, and dreaming of mysterious lights that followed her but never touched her. It was a strange dream but some reason Synthesis never felt afraid. Now, unless woken, she would probably sleep till midday.

she was not surprised that the girl was shocked that she could talk. many have a similar reaction but she still thought it was funny. but the wisp that followed them still bothered her. the thing had said that they are not to be trusted but now it had followed them and just sits there.

"In a cave far from hear. but i am rarely home." she said than laid her head down she needed sleep and curled into a loose ball. she wanted to make sure the girl was safe before but sleep came.

Whilst walking, Synthesis was shocked to see the dragon nod in responce to her light chatter. It must understand her, then. The Druid was happy to have her suspicians confirmed and felt like she had made a new friend. Then when the dragon lit iself up with blue, sparkling electricity she gasped and had to resist the urge to touch it to see if it were real -  but she didn't. Instead she breathed "Beautiful!"  What a story she would have to tell! The dragon rumbled in an amused laugh as she continued talking and once they left the forest, it dropped its pyramid and lay down.
Looking back, Synthesis could see the light hovering on the edge of the tree line but coming no closer. It seemed that it couldn't leave the forest and for that Synthesis was grateful.
When the dragon spoke, Synthesis fell into a sitting position through sheer astonishment. She couldn't reply for quite some time as she struggled to get over it and organise her frazzled thoughts. She truly was tired.
"L - lovely to meet you, V - Vinsue." She returned, quite shaken but somehow pleasantly satisfied. It seemd only right that she could speak to her new friend properly, "Thank you for keeping me company in there." She gestured to the forest. "Where is your home then, if I might ask?"

Author: Vinsue, Posted: Mon May 1, 2017 5:51 AM, Post Subject: [Open] the call

Vinsue was glad for the questans and statements. she nodded to the your a dragon statement and the question abut her being able to breath fire. as much as she wanted to do an old trick she did not want to burn the trinket she was carrying. so instead she let electricity run down her back spokes to her tail. the bluish wight light danced as it lit there immediate aria. she chuckled at the forest statement witch reminded her that the trinket was still there.

once they where out of the forest enough for her to fill safe she dropped the pyramid and laid down. now that her mouth was empty she decided to answer the questans. "not all dragons actually breath fire but each ahas a breath power i can breath fire and control electricity." she said than posed so that the shock could settle in. "i am going home next so that i can put this thing there." she said as she pushed it with a talon. than looked at the sky and back at the ground. she got up and hacked up a ball of saliva and than set it on fire before laying back down. "And my name is Vinsue."

Synthesis walked in silence beside her dragon conpanion for quite some time, occasionally looking over her sholder to see if the light was still there. It always was, like it was following them and matching her speed. Whatever could it want?
Feeling the need to speak again, Synthesis continued, "So, your a dragon…" She berated herself for stating the obvious. Somehow she felt that the dragon could understand her and yet it was hard to hold a conversation with someone that didn't reply. "I think your scales are beautiful, by the way, and your claws look pretty impressive too. Can you breath fire? Do all dragons breath fire like in the stories? I'm only curious. Don't go setting the forest on fire! No matter how nasty it is, I don't think we can justify destroying this little bit of history."
She chuckled. Normally, she'd be panicking right now but, with such powerful company, she felt only a little creeped out by the earie light.
"Where are you going after this?" She enquired, "Are you going to use that Pyramid for somethings?"
She didn't think the other would reply but it felt polite to ask. Maybe the two of them would set up camp for a little outside the forest while they build up their strength, maybe they would travel to a common destination or maybe they would part ways. The edge of the forest was drawing near and Synthesis sure did feel tired.

She was glad to get the girl up and moving then started walking. she was not going to fly in this aria. the trees would make it hard enough. She again hugged the girl to get her to start walking and then walked beside her to guide her the right way.

She was still tired but now she had motivation and someone that needed her help. She pushed on walking just as fast as the girl but no slower. they had to leave this place. Seeing the outer edge she walked a bit faster

"You see it too?" Synthesis was surprised by the dragon's sudden movement sa it raised its head. It dropped its little pyramid. "I take it that you don't like it much…"
Synthesis might have been tempted to look a little longer, curiosity urging her to find out what it was, but then the stood abruptly and picked up its little trinket again, shaking its head and moving so she couldn't see the light any more. She pushed herself to her feet as she was nudged almost onto her side.
"Okay okay." She grumbled quiety but stiffened as she sensed the trees around her seem to stir and wake from dormancy. Clearly they sensed its presence also. She wasn't going to ask them about it, though. They scared her more than the light ever would, even if the light turned out to be a spirit - which reminded her, hadn't the trees already said something about spirits walking in this forest.
"I think it best that we get moving, don't you?" She asked, "Do you want to fly or walk? I must warn you, I am a very poor flyer. I probably won't be able to keep up." She chewed her lip nervously.

She listened to the girls stories. the forest hear truly was sad and horrible. but the girl had good stories to. She had never thought that the trees could talk than again the fact of treasure talking was way odder. she nodded at the statement of looking after her and listened to the rest.

it was not long after that she noticed the light. the thing in her mouth buzzed and she dropped it a bit startled. It warned her of the lights and told her to get out of the forest. she got up picked up the pyramid and stepped between the girl and the light and shook her head. it was her way of saying it was a bad idea. than nudged her to get up. they needed out of the forest.

"My name is Synthesis." she continued in her soothing animal voice, "I came here to learn from the trees here. Everyone for miles around would tell stories about how old and dangerous they are. I thought it would be a good idea to find out for myself. I'm practicing to become a powerful Druid, you see. I thought they might be good teachers. It turns out this was not an ideal way to learn."
She paused in a moment of regretful recollection.
"I wish I'd listened to the villagers now. They all told me not to come. The trees… they say some dreadful things. They've seen and done some horrible things. I'm so glad your here, though. At least I got to meet a dragon." She giggled half-heartedly, "You'll look after me, wouldn't you?"
Just to make sure the dragon wouldn't get the wrong idea, Synthesis went on to tell the creature about all the other times she had spoken to plantlife. How many times trees had saved her life by warning her of danger. She went on to tell the dragon of all of her advetures in the wild and the different things that different plants liked to discuss. She talked to cover up the silence of the forest and soon became lulled by the sound. She only stopped when she was too tired to go on, relaxed by her new companion and and the uneventful stillness which surrounded them. Dawn would arrive in an hours or so; not long to go at all.
Just when she was about to close her eyes, she spotted a faint light in the distance growing closer. Was she that tired? Or could her dragon friend see it too?

she sniffed the hand than laid her head down. The girl was obviously just curious and she was ok with it. she would have said her name but speaking that language like all the two legged languages where hard to do in this form. and she lacked the energy to do so.

She was also curious to see what the girl would do if she thought that she could not speak. she loved stories and music and kind of hopped her new friend would tell some of her own to waiting ears.

Emboldened by the non-threatening way that the dragon had accepted her offering, she packed up her things and shuffled a little closer to the creature. It seemed tame, like it was used to accepting food in this way - either that or it was intellegent. Also, any creature seemed friendly in comparison to what she had just spoken to. Her fear of this magnificent beast was quickly being replaced by a fear of the whole forest they dwelt in. Her heart still beat fast and she thought the touch of another animal might sooth her.
"Hello," she said softly, "What's your name then?"
She didn't expect a reply. She reached out a hand towards its snout, giving it a chance to stiff her first like a cat would. She also avoided looking into its eyes in case staring would offend it. What an amazing story she would have to share: She would be able to tell people of how she had befriended a dragon, touched it and had it eat from her hand. This happy thought distracted her somewhat, but not completely.

Vinsue put down the pyramid shaped thing and looked at the girl who was a bit frightened about things Vinsue could only guess. than it offered her apple out. She slowly approached and sniffed the fruit before carefully biting it and stepped back. she then put the whole thing in her mouth and ate it.

The pyramid thing was not happy that it had been put back on the ground and Vinsue knew it by the way it called to her again. She again picked it up and laid down. she watched the girl as she did and was glad for the apple but i would do little for her.

As soon as the dragon dissapeared from sight, Synthesis sighed and closed her eyes. She reached out with her mind and began to connect with the local flora. She found the young grass and small shrubs were quiet and friendly enough but as soon as she made contact with the old trees, her blood ran cold with the terrible things they whispered. They told her horrifying stories of evil deeds they had seen and tortured souls that wandered close by. They even began to recount the story of their birth… but the young Druid had heard enough and violently wrenched herself back to the physical reality. The night was still apart from her own heavy breathing.
There was the dragon again. Now it held a small small pyramid shaped object in its jaw. It looked tired. It hung its head and its movements were slow. Despite the fact dragons were meat eaters, Synthesis wondered weather it might like her apple. She held it out cautiously, keen for any sort of company after what she had just expirienced. All her optimism was gone. The last thing she wanted right now was to be left alone here.

She could fell she was being watched but she did not care as she kept walking she got out of sight range and quickly found a pyramid shaped thing and picked it up with her mouth glad the thing was easy to find and seemed to seriously lack danger. the thing stopped its call as she knew it would as they all do after she has them.

She walked back a ways and laid down. the lack of sunlight was draining her energy and as far as she could tale there was nothing to eat in this forest. she than realised she was back to where the girl was sitting. she needed to keep going but she did not have the energy to do so.

Synthesis was incredibly relived when the dragon began to walk away. Unsure whether it was due to it not being hungry or because it didn't eat humanoids, she wasn't going to push her luck. She turned and made her way to the nearest tree and sat down. She made sure all her movements were slow so as not to startle the mighty predator and took out her her lunch (an apple) and her Druid Spellbook. However, instead of reading or practicing magic, she found herself watching the dragon curiously. It was beautiful with its scales flashing in the moonlight but also invoked in her a distinct sense of personal danger.

She awoke to the sound of a snapping stick. She looked around and spotted a girl not far off. She looked at the girl but did not go any closer or farther off. Sure the girl could not harm her she got up and started to walk off. the place gave her the chills and she did not want to be here longer than she had to. Even her dreams in this place told of the past and she did not like it to much. She was not going to attack unless the girl attacked first. she could since the angelic and demon blood both she had once feared but now she seemed not to care.

All the locals had warned Synthesis that this place was bad news. The stories they told were enough to chill bones. And yet she'd come anyway. Curiosity did kill the cat and Synthesis felt very much like an unfortunate feline at the moment. She ran her hand over the bark of an agonised looking tree. She looked around for a good place to sit down. She had planned to try communing with the plants around here to see what interesting tales they had to tell and maybe what secrets they had to share. What better place to udy and practice magic than in a place that practically lived and breathed it! So despite the impending sense of doom that tried to weigh her down she looked around with reletive optimism and exitement.
That's when she spotted a huge lump of white scales. She froze for a second but it didn't stir so she tiptoed closer. There was its head, there was its tail and there were its wings. She gasped as she realised it was a dragon, huge and mighty. It seemed to sleep soundly. Unsure whether it was an intellegent being or one fueled purely by instinct, Synnthesis began to back away slowly. Unfortunately, she didn't look where she stepped and her foot came down on a thin, dry stick that cracked loudly in the silence. Was this it for her?

leave it to treasures to will me into the worst of places. She thought to herself as she stood at the edge of the forest in her true form. Something here had decided to send a call and she had to find out what it was and why it called her. she stood her full 12 foot high as she listened. besides the wind there was little to no sound. She started walking and let the call guide her. it was dark witch made her glad that she had really keen eyes. yet it barely helped.

she noticed a light of blueish color and walked towards it. than it disappeared and a different one appeared farther away. the call pulled at her and reminded her why she had came into a land so dark. She could fell the sparrow and the curse surrounding the area it made her sad and put her on edge. she again walked as she allowed the call to guide her. she had been walking for awhile and decided to nap. She laid down and curled into a ball and quickly slept.

Her scales of wight looked odd in the dark but it was obvious that something of a different color was there.
