She looked at the dagger and focused her flame into its blade burning her mark inside of it. than smiled. the s and its tale now black inside the blade. "You have a mark?" she asked as they walked into the tavern and took their seats at the corner of the bar. "And im quite glad they do not have more brains than they do or my job would be a whole lot harder." she did not intind on showing off the stuff hear but it would be a nice place to stop before heading out.

Faylen took the throwing the knife with enthusiasm. "That's the thing about pirates, they are way too stupid to have all this valuable and fine treasure, it is like they are asking us to take it. Please mark it. Also, unfortunately I have no where, in case you have forgotten, I am new to this town. I do not even have a home yet; just a very small inn room, to the tavern?" Faylen could not stop thinking about the knife, it was so beautiful, she could not wait to see it in the throat of an enemy.

She smiled. it was rare to see fear in fear in their eyes. she turned and started walking. "You have proven yourself. So back to the tavern or to some place to see what we have gathered and such?" She asked knowing the answer. she was a good 2 hour walk from home so if the girl had a better closer sijistan she would be more than happy to listen.

"Also found this and thought you might like it." She said as she pulled a throwing knife from the side pocket and held it out to her. its blade was diamond as well as its handle. it was perfectly balanced and durable. "I can add my mark so it will remind you of this night." she said. It was funny what one could do between fire and electricity.

Faylen laughed at the whole situation "Those buffoons were frightened I saw the fear in their eyes" She looked at Vinsue and said with giddiness in her voice "That was fun we make a good team; have I proved myself enough?"

She was a bit disappointed to have missed the captains reaction but at least someone got to see the crews faces. "Actually i ran into no trouble. so i guess you were a great distraction." she looked back towards the ship. that mast would take a wile to repair. "I also burnt his floor a bit as well as the door to the secret apartment. I would love to see the captains face once he realizes he was visited by SilverTail." She said almost started laughing. 

"Where the brutes frightened or mad?" she asked trying to see the mens faces. what

All she had to do was let her hair out of her braid and unbutton her top a little bit and the men were swooning all around her. She watched Vinsue sneak around them and head to the captains quarters. While she was in there, many of the men tried to grope and touch her offering their help. Seductively she said "Enough boys, take it easy there's more than enough to go around, all I need is help getting around, I am new here" All the men were wanting to take her to their private quarters. How easily it would be to disarm them, but she figured why risk getting her face on those posters. She was not yet ready to be wanted just yet, but she will be feared… someday. These men however, will come to fear her as well. 

When one of the men got to be too touchy with her, she quickly pulled out the dagger hidden in her belt and held it to his neck. "Now now, watch where you put those grubby hands of yours" She did not take her eyes off this man while she said "The same goes for the rest of you brutes" And that's when she heard the explosion. 

Everyone she had distracted had ran towards the sound except the one she held by the neck. "Go" She said calmly and when she let go he ran as well and that's when she took her opportunity to leave the ship. She did not fear them for she knew she could disarm and take every single one of them, there were only 5 and she has dealt with more pirate brutes than that; so she calmly walked away. She headed for the alleyway and found Vinsue waiting. 

"Bunch of pirate brutes getting to touchy with me, taught those idiots a lesson. Did you run into any trouble? Nice making the mast explode, I appreciate that one. Though I did not see the captains face, I noticed the brutes faces that I was dealing with and you would have enjoyed that." Faylen laughed as she remember the shock on their faces when they realized what was happening.

She nodded and watched as the girl dew the men away from the ship. She was good at using her looks and mens envy to get what she wanted. Which meant it was now Vinsue's turn. She watched and walked up to the ship like she was one of the crew and quickly climbed aboard. the wooden deck was nice and clean and the place seemed empty of people but she knew better than that. 

She was careful as she found her way to the captain's quarters. She was surprised to find it unguarded and took more causen as she picked what to take. She put the idiomas in the bag and placed her mark with fire on the floor. in the wood now stood a backwards s with a tail on it. she than left to find a way below deck. a trap door was a bit hard to find but easy to open. once below deck she quickly found the things she needed. gold and weapons were hidden in a room near the back and she took much of it tell her pack was full. it was quite heavy but it was nothing for her type to carry. she again put her mark on the inside of the door closed it and left. 

above deck she looked at the main mast. it was large and seemed like it was important and focused on it tell she had an energy field around it after a few seconds she closed her eyes forcing the electricity into the wood. in turn it made a loud explosion then the mast fell towards the captain's quarters. she then quickly left the ship and hid in the alleyway. She wanted to see the captain's face when he came to see the ruckus but she knew it was unwise to linger. she watched the men run to the ship to see what happened.

Faylen followed and they came across the ship. She did not know how the pirates were in this world but she could only assume they were similar to the ones in her home city. Stupid and fall easily for a woman's charm especially for one like her own. She looked at Vinsue and said "I'll distract them if you go around them, and get what you can." She walked over to the men that she noticed; there wasn't a lot of them and her charm would easily distract them. Faylen put on a seductive smile and said "Hello boys, tell me, what does a maiden have to do to get a little help around here"

She smiled at the woman's statement. "Well a ship landed a few hours ago and i heard it has some rather valuable stuff on it." She said and got up and shouldered her almost empty pack. "Coming?"  she asked and headed for the door. if she was right they had 30 minutes to get what they want and have some fun before the ship gets reloaded and leaves port.

She stuck to the allies as she walked then stopped were the target was in view but she was hidden. "Thats our target. So I will let you lead." She said as she leaned against the wall and looked for those guarding the ship. 2 men were visible but that was it as far as she could tail.

A slow wicked smile came across her face. She sensed trouble and trouble was exactly what she was looking for. "Whatever shall we do, I hear there's a pirate lord just looking for some trouble, I'll prove my worth to you"

she smiled at the statement. "It would be nice to have a friend for a change" she said then took the glass. if it is poisoned so be it she can escape and human poisons did little to her. she downed the whole drink and was relieved to taste nor feel any signs of poison or drugs. "Corse I have no reason to trust you and have no clue what you are capable of. you did ask me a minute ago why you should not try and kill me." she said as she set the glass on the table. that said she had a chance to prove her worth.

She looked at the door. it was almost time for her to do some stupid thing to upset the lords more. "Give me a reason to trust you and i'll test your worth in a few minutes." she stated without expression.

"not originally. i was framed for killing my dad. than his brother. both was not me but than i got on for other things and can truthfully say some are right and some are wrong. thought it should be obvious to the people that make the posters that I leave my mark one i an guilty of the crime. though theft and destruction of property are true i do not kill two leggeds." 

She knew she said it in an odd way but it was true, well for the most part. she had killed in war but that was war a long time ago and since she had not took a life of a two legged. "My main crimes are freeing slaves and taking riches from the pirate lords. i find it quite fun to get under there skin. yet they do not hang wanted posters."

Did she have more questions? She was not sure. If the woman… Vinsue… was not so broad about herself, maybe she would not have any. As for now she had only one question she felt she needed to ask. 
"Did you really do what the posters have you framed for? Or did you get framed?"  And she knew whatever answer Vinsue gave her, she would believe her. She could not explain what it was, but she trusted her.

This girl had pride and a voice that was too sure of herself. the name was a nice one but she let the girl continue. she gave a few facts but no actual story. an assassin was a dangerous line of work like her own the only difference is Vinsue would not kill yet this girl said it in a way that made it fact many lives have been taken at her hands. 

thin it was her turn. "Well Faylen sounds like an interesting past. mine is a good bit different. I am Vinsue SilverTail and witch i go by depends on what i am doing and where i am at. you said you have question or two so ask before others try to start something." she said not knowing what whe wanted to say. or stories she wanted to tell.

Faylen considered her for a minute. Faylen thought about what she wanted and how much she wanted to tell her. Even though this woman has not told her very much she figured going first would be the best to prove herself. She really needed an ally. 

"Well to start with, you can call me Faylen. My name is Faylen Valleth" She told her with pride in her voice and as if she should have known that already. But then she figured this is a whole other world she's gotten herself wrapped into. 

"As for a story; well, I was forced into being an assassin and now I am one of the best of what I do" She paused. "At least in my world. I left my hometown a few days ago and came across what I now realize is a portal and it brought me here. I've done countless things, and never been caught however, that is the most I can tell you but you can take my word for it, I am good at what I do for I have been at it years, many years" She said with a lot of confidence in her voice. 

She's never talked this much about herself before, it was different. At least not in a way to make a friend.

The confusion was hard to pick up but vinsue had become an expert at telling someone's means and expressions. that the question that confirmed it. "That Miss this is my way of putting up the last warning they get before i knock them down again and then the drunks tend to do as the song says. it is quite fun to watch. and after that charge went threw them fighting becomes quite difficult. i have found it quite fun to renwen the man's reputation rather than kill them. And they'll go to the boss and the lord will send more but sometimes one needs a good fight." she said as a simple answer. after 200 years of fighting one learns to have fun with them. 

"Well for starts you must have a name that people call you by. and by the way you came to my table i am willing to guess you have a few stories to tell. so i guess a name and story will do more than enough to satisfy my curiosity."

Faylen was confused. She was not used to the fun that took place in this tavern. The singing that took place as well. How did that make the men go away? Was is just the fun of the tavern? She was confused and she was sure it was showing on her face. However, she noticed the smile on the woman's face and she clearly enjoyed herself in that moment. She saw that all her worries went out the window and were forgotten even if it was just for a second. And then Faylen thought about it, she thought about her future being here and got excited for once in her life she would have fun. But she would not forget about her job as well, for she had to continue to make a fortune some how. 

Clearly though, this girl wanted her to prove herself in order to be an ally or even a friend for she never took her hand. And that was fine for her, she does not trust people easily either. So she would keep up her walls until the time came to let them down. 

"What was that that just took place? and why did those men leave so easily? It's like they just gave up?" Faylen said confusion clear in her voice and face. "And though I have questions for you I'm sure you have some for me as well"

the woman got lost in thought wich vinsue knew was dangerous to do but the woman would learn on her own time. "no need as they wake the bar will grow with song and the men will leave knowing what happens to those that stager afterwards." She looked at the men and watched as one let out a mone. She did not trust others but who knew an ally may be a good thing. and as the first man sat up the bar erupted into song at Vinsue's lead. What do you do with a drunken sailor and a few of the more fun verses filled the tavern. The man woke up his buddies and gave a nasty look at them before leaving.  She laughed as the song died and cheers rose. She could easily win a sing off but the fun was having everyone join. She stopped laughing and looked at the girl in front of her. the girl was a bit young to be in this business but then again she was younger when she first had her head on those posters.

Faylen sat there and thought about the girls words. She stared at her until she could no more. The truth was she liked this woman, she had a lot respect for her because she knew what it was like to get on the bad side of a pirate lord for it happened to her in the town she grew up in. She reminisced shortly and almost laughed at the time she stole his ship. Coming back to reality she came to a decision. 

"You know these men are about to wake up, I was thinking maybe you could use someone to watch your back when they do, I happen to know my way quite well around a bow" 

And for the first time ever in Faylen's life she did the only thing she thought was plausible in that moment and stuck her hand out offering friendship. Or at least acquaintanceship. She's never been the friend type of person but hoped this was the first step in changing that.

Vinsue was not surprised that the woman was surprised. she loved to fight and often surprised many as she did. yet the woman had the arrogance to ask why she should not kill her. 

"Well the name is what a man who first wanted my head went by. so after his death I used it as a cover name and thought the family mark was a good one. anyone stupid enough to fight me gets it." She posed. she looked at her drink and wanted to drink it but did not for the fact she did not want to be poisoned again. "Funny enough i do not know why my head's on them. I am hunted cause t made a few pirates mad on more than a few occasions. and by what i know the pirates want me alive many try and only one was successful and that was when i was cursed and poisoned. you can try to kill me if you would like just know i will not go down without a fight. and over 100 people have my mark and may of them studer to this day." She said in a calm voice and almost laughed. 

She was anxious for the men to wake up for she knew a song and a rowdy crowd willing to do as the song said.

Faylen was surpised. Very surprised. Her eyes widened briefly and she clenched her fists but she quickly recovered herself. The first rule about being someone like her was never show weakness. She could not let this woman know that that shocked her. However, as much as she was shocked she was impressed. She respected this woman, she knew how to defend herself and she was damn good at it too. Those men did not stand a chance and she knew it when they walked in the door. She noticed the grin on her face, and she was familiar with it all to well.Faylen has had that grin on her face many times before and it said come here to me and step into my web. This girl was clearly looking for a fight and she got it. She did not plan on fighting this girl today but Faylen would not let her guard down just in case. 

Faylen thought about the girls statement about her questions and hesitated, she did indeed have many. "Why did they call you SilverTail for starters and also what is so bad that you got your face up on those there wanted posters, you said there's more to them so give me a reason not to kill you and make myself a hero to this new acquainted town I'm staying in."

Vinsue wached her drink as the girl sat down. she stopped drinking it and would not touch it again. last time someone was willing to sit and talk they had magically drugged her drink and she was not wanting to go through that again. she asked what she would like to talk about and vinsue thought about it for a bit. "I'm sure you have questions for those posters always leave a lot out." she said then noticed three men tall and strong walk into the bar. each had a hand on the hilt of their swords. 

Vinsue's smiled widened as the men stopped scanning the bar and looked directly at her. they walked to her table. "sarry mam but we need to speak with your friend hear" one said to the elf "SilverTail im a bit glad to have found you. we have some lords that want your head on a golden platter." Vinsue got up. "I take to you come to test a rumor?" she said than tripped the man behind her and moved to the middle of the floor. his smile confirmed her thoughts 

She then took stance. the leader turned and de sheathed his sword. and than swung at her as the others went around her so that they could circle her. she doubted swing and the others joined in on the fight. like a dance she avoided the blades as they swing after a bit she let a charge into her hands and shot it threw the men who fell, with a scream, uncontinuous to the ground. she than left her backwards s with a tail mark on the leaders hart and his helpers left hands. she than took their coin pouches and sat back down. "Where were we?" she asked as it came back to her "ah yes you must have some questions?"

Ah the girl has words. Faylen respected this much of her. But did she know how to fight? It was not in her nature to go straight for the kill. She played with it, she hunted. Games were her forte that was made her good at her job, part of charm. 

"Though it is tempting to give those obnoxious drunks a show, I think we can have a chat, tell me miss what would you like to talk about?"

She may be witty, but Faylen knew how to play. And soon she would be hero. Or make a respected new ally, whichever benefits her.

"New to town you say, well that's nice." she said looking the woman over. she was in her late teens or early twenties but then again she was an elf wich changes age looks and things. she looked strong and had a nice shade of yellow hair. she put her cup down. "If i wanted to hide who I was I would not be here miss." she smiled could this be the one that would want to fight her today. 

she pushed up her sleeves and again grabbed her cup. she let a couple runs of electricity dance down her arms and took a swallow of her ale knowing she would not get to drink it after anything. the scar on her right upper arm the only one on her. and that was when she had a curse that blocked her powers. "you can sit and talk if you would like if not i know a few drunks looking to watch a fight." she looked unfazed by the elf's presence. but she was ready to move if the girl tried anything.

Faylen Valleth was new to the city of Adeluna, she has had a long journey and just wanted to find a pub and down an ale. She came across this place called the winking mermaid and felt some kind of pull towards it. Walking down the streets of the city she noticed the wanted posters of a girl. She had a lovely face and bright snow colored hair. It looked like that was her key feature.

Going inside the tavern, Faylen found a table and noticed a person sitting alone, it was clearly a woman and she wore a simple brown robe. In all the years Faylen had been an assassin she knew from the body language that this woman was trying to hide something. But she did not do it well enough. Faylen noticed a little strand of hair sticking out and it was the color of snow. Being the cocky person she was and looking for some fun she approached the woman. 

"I know who you are" Faylen said. "I'm new to town and already figured it out, you will have to do better than that"

Vinsue had come to the tavern as she always did when she was in the aria. she was in her human form with the hood of her simple brown robe up to hide her face and snow white hair. she went to the bar and ordered a glass of ale and the catfish combo. once she got her meal she went to a corner table and sat down in a way that let her see who came in and out of the place. 

She knew that her face was on one of the posters on the wanted board but she was itching for a fight and willed any who dared to try to take their chance. She started eating the breaded catfish and a smile could be seen from under her mask. she missed the taste and was glad they had not changed it. once finished she slowly sipped her glass of ale waiting for someone to notice her and start something.
