Dart couldn't help but laugh slightly at her excitement and exuberance to be traveling with him. He hoped that she didn't change her mind about him in a couple days. He already felt dizzy with the idea of traveling with her, but in a good way. His face turned red again as she practically snuggled against his harm as they walked out of the tavern and down the darkening streets. Lamp lighters were about their duty, bringing to life the street sentinels  that lit the pathways after dark. He was grateful it was so dark, however, for she couldn't see the full range of his blush when she mentioned going and tell her mother their plan personally. She was certainly putting him on the spot fast.

She certainly isn't giving me the opportunity to bug out… he thought. Not that I would though…

"I'll t-t-try to b-b-be on m-my b-best behavior," he said sheepishly. The nervousness of coming face to face with a Goddess was evident in his stumbling speech. He looked at her curiously though when she mentioned that she had something incredibly private to tell him, and the need for it to be absolutely between only them. His mind churned to come up with a place where they would have the privacy she required.

"We could t-t-talk in the b-barn. I am the on-only one wh-who uses-s-s it," he told her with a smile. "B-but I'll l-let y-y-you d-decide if that w-w-will be s-s-suitable," he told her as their shoes shuffled over the cobblestone road as they walked towards the outskirts of the city.

If it was alright to scream and dance around a tavern like a moron she would have. His words brought happiness to her as her ivy green eyes light up like bright wisp lights. “Don’t worry I can help explain it! I’m sure if I explain that I am her daughter that everything will be fine. She will be well taken care of I promise.” She was trying to stop herself from bounding around the room as she fiercely bounced on her toes with excitement.

The redhead continued to bounce around on her toes as she watched for young Dart to finish up. She talked with the tavern owner who was all too familiar with the redhead’s mother. He even went as far as to ask the girl to tell Angela to pay up on her daughters’ tavern bill but it just made him laugh. She nodded and told him that she would make sure that the Mother would find out.

She squealed a bit as she bounded to him and took his arm. “Yes! I am ready! I am so happy that I get to do this with you!” Her voice was full of squeals and excitement as she almost snuggled into his shoulder. Blushing she looked up at him and smirked. “We’ll have to explain this to my mother in person.” She blushed a bit and looked away. “I.. I have something to tell you in private and it has to be in absolute private. I mean it! No one can know this but you.” He would be the one who guarded her mother’s most kept secret, her.

Dart's mind reeled and he scrambled to find an answer for the red headed girl who was practically begging him to travel with her. His heart pounded in his chest, screaming at him for not immediately accepting the offer she put forth. The offer to travel the world was something he had been dreaming about since he was a young boy. His head, however, still had reservations. Leaving meant leaving his mother alone, and it meant leaving everything he knew quite suddenly.

But this is the daughter of the Mother, D'Artagnan. She would be able to provide for mother better than you ever could working in a dockside tavern…

"W-we could g-g-go s-s-see M-mother t-t-tonight," he stuttered, hardly believing what his lips were saying when his mind was still not sure if this was the best plan of action. His heart rabbited a thousand leagues a minute. "I t-think if w-w-we explain it t-t-to her t-t-together that she w-w-will be m-m-more understanding," he replied.

He looked around and realized that the crowd was beginning to disperse and there was still quite the mess to clean up. "I-I m-m-must g-g-get this all c-c-cleaned up f-f-for closing. I'll a-a-apply f-f-for my m-month's w-w-wages and then w-w-we will go," he told her as he stood up again, a massive grin on his face.

He was practically skipping about the bar as he wiped down tables and collected mugs and plates with the other servers, correcting chairs as he went. He was tasked with the dish washing while the girls all tended to the sweeping, and Dart washed with vigor, his hands red from the hot sudsy water, practically soaking his sleeves as he plunged to his elbows in the suds. Once or twice he nearly cut his hands open from the knives in the wash basin in his rush to leave the platters and utensils sparkling.

He could hardly wrap his mind around the fact that in the morning he was going to be traveling around the realm as the protector of one of the Daughters of Earth. He glanced out of the kitchen at the girl who was still waiting for him at the bar, and felt himself blush again. Of all the people she could have chosen as her companion that had been there in the tavern that night, she chose him. He felt both honored and humbled. Surely she could have picked a great champion, someone who had been out in the world and completed many great deeds. But she had picked him.

He was still thinking this as he emptied the dish basin and leaned it against the fire place to dry for the night, and went to hang up his apron. His wages were pressed into his hand by his employer, and he faltering explained that he would not be returning the next night to work, that he would be in fact, traveling starting the next morning, and he apologized for the suddenness of his leaving. The man merely laughed, clapped Dart on the back and heartily said he would be glad to take Dart on again when he was done with this bout of foolishness and wished him a good night.

He was used to these kinds of remarks, but they still stung a bit. All was forgotten, however, when he went back out into the dining room and approached Foxglove.
"All r-r-ready. Sh-shall w-w-we?" he asked, offering her his arm as he turned towards the door.

The redhead smiled broadly at him that he understood her on some level. It was pleasant to know that he would keep her secret. She watched him put his hand over her heart and chuckled. "Thank you! I am glad to meet another person who understands how hard it is to be different." Especially since she was birthed the traditional way. She was thought into existence and she had a hard time with that as she watched her other siblings be birthed in.

When she leaped over the side of the bar onto him she noticed his face and chuckled. His face was flush as she chatted with from there. She kept him seated as she kissed his cheek and felt his hot skin against her lips. He really was blushing red as she chuckled more.

"Tomorrow is the best time. I can make sure she is taken care of. You are with the daughter of someone who can make sure she never goes hungry nor loses her home." She whispered to him. "I can arrange for your services to be something like protecting me. Imagine being knighted and protecting your princess." Which she was if she had to admit it. "My mother would do that if it meant a legit reason for all of this."

"We can go… Right now and meet your mother! Or maybe tomorrow morning when I have my mother's okay. I can have some clergy bring what she might need for now from the temple." She said in a hushed voice as she released herself from him.

"Think about it alright? Tomorrow we could be under the stars together. Travelling through the Plains of Bohor."

Dart gave Foxglove a reassuring smile. "I th-th-think I c-c-can understand th-that," he told her softly. "I w-won't t-t-tell if y-you don't w-want it kn-known," he promised, putting his hand over his heart. "It is h-hard t-t-to b-be d-d-different, wh-whether b-by b-b-birth or other m-means," he smiled.

He must have made her really happy when he had said he would enjoy traveling with her, for she lunged over the bar in yet another fit of affection and latched her arms about his neck in a hug. He couldn't jump with her like this, so it was good that she kept him firmly seated on his stool. She was clearly excited and all the things that she told him they could do made his head spin. He patted her arms lightly, chuckling nervously and she released him, insisting that they should leave the next morning bright and early. Dart swallowed hard, his face red with blush.

"T-Tomorrow? Th-that is a-awful s-s-soon. D-don't g-get m-me wr-wr-wrong, I d-do w-want t-t-to go. B-b-but l-l-let m-me at th-the least m-make s-s-sure th-that m-m-my mother w-will be t-taken c-care of," he insisted. "I-I w-would l-like y-y-you t-to m-m-meet h-her t-t-too," he said.

The look on his face was enough for her but still she nodded. "The very same." She knew it was hard to hide it from most people since she looked exactly like Angela. That wasn't any surprise considering what she was. A doppelganger? Not entirely. A clone? No, not that either. So what was she?

When he had finally noticed she brought up her hands and cleared the tears from the corner of her eyes. "It's alright I shouldn't be so sensitive about it. I just don't like being treated differently. It is very hard being her daughter sometimes." Though she wondered what it was like to be the daughter of someone hatred. A shiver went down her spine and she was thankful her mother was loved.

The look of joy came back to her eyes as she lunged over the counter and hugged him. "This is great news! We could go now! We could go and pack stuff and meet each other and just run! We could see the Sundered Falls! We could see Apoy Island! WE COULD SEE IT ALL. Together! That's most important!" She let go just in case she was making him uncomfortable and gave him a smile.

"So what do you say that we do that? Tomorrow bright and early."

"Y-your m-m-mother is Th-The Mother. M-Mother Earth?" he asked, still trying to get around his speechlessness. The color had vanished from his face momentarily. All this time, he had been sitting, speaking with the daughter of his own mother's deity of choice. He felt like a fool, he knew all the stories. How could he have not recognized the resemblance? Red-hair, green eyes, the works. Even her name betrayed her heritage, really. He felt like an idiot. He was still gawking in silence when he recognized the signs of sadness that fell over her face as she fought back tears.

Now, he felt awful, and his face went from white to red.

"Wh-what? N-n-n-no, no! I-I just d-didn't expect th-that. I-I'm s-s-sorry, Foxglove! I-I d-d-didn't mean to up-upset you!" Dart said quickly, scrambling to find the words or actions that would make up for the blunder he had made in making her think he didn't want to go anywhere with her. He had just been so surprised by the news he had forgotten to tell her that he would have really liked to travel with her.

"To be hon-honest, I w-would l-love t-t-to g-g-go t-t-traveling w-w-with you," he told her earnestly. "And n-n-not j-j-just b-because of who-who your m-m-mother is," he promised. "I-I just didn't think a-a-anyone would ask-ask m-m-me t-t-t-to g-g-go anywhere out-out-out of the b-b-blue like this," he admitted sheepishly.

Foxglove blushed as he cleaned her face. The pink was light across her sun-kissed skin as her green eyes sought his. It was a weird feeling but she felt like they could be good friends. "Thank you." She was always happy to have a friend help her.

Again she watched as he moved and almost lost his way. She had startled him but that was maybe a good thing. She was high energy and it took a lot to keep up with the young Rosenite. A smile came to her lips as she watched him be speechless.

It wasn't until the word temple slipped that she cuffed her mouth and stared at him for a moment. She wasn't about to lie to him and tell him that she was mistaken for a moment. She moved her hand up and ran it through her red hair for a moment. "I guess I have to explain that bit. I didn't want you to find out though." Her green eyes were sad for a moment.

She sat down at the bar and felt the words for once seem to fail leaving her lips. "To be honest, my mother is a very important person. Even you have probably heard tales of her around this tavern." She looked away from him. "The Mother. The Lady of the Land. The Goddess who Gifts Fertility and Holds the Cornucopia. I try not to tell people about it. I don't want to be treated differently. It always makes people act funny around me."

Looking back up to him full of sadness she formed what words she could through stifled tears, "Does this mean you won't go with me?"

Dart didn't know what she had found funny enough to make her cough on her ale and start laughing so hard, but he didn't question as she mentioned her mind had wandered after her tangent of how not all knights wore armor. instead he took a napkin and wiped the droplets of drink from her chin and then wiped up the counter with his own soft laughter. Secretly, though, he hoped she had not been laughing at him.

He was just sitting back down on his stool and was taking a drink when she jumped up and slammed her hands down on the counter. Like when she had kissed him, he jumped visibly, nearly tipping his stool and himself backwards into the glass shelves yet again, though he did manage to catch himself on the bar, rather expertly and pulled himself forward into a steady position, his heart pounding. The people he had grown up with had always called him jumpy and high-strung, but he had never had the nervousness or anxiety that seemed to accompany such things. He parents claimed it was just fantastic reflexes, and it showed in his ability to avoid making messes and dodging about in a busy tavern setting.

He wasn't, however, able to keep his mug from spilling all over the lower counter behind the bar, and he scrambled to wipe up the mess as Foxglove announced that they should leave on a journey together. He looked at her, bewildered, and quite frankly, unable to speak. For once, his brain was the one having a hard time forming the words. His mouth flapped open and shut like a beached fish once or twice before he managed to get a grip on himself.

"W-w-w-well… I-I uh, I-I… Th-that is I-I m-mean… uh… w-wait, Temple?" he asked, trying to process exactly what he had just heard.

Foxglove looked towards his blush and gave him a friendly smile. "Your father is a very wise man." All she had was her mother and siblings. There was no father, how weird was that to think of? She frowned a bit but tried to push it off. "I would be honored as well!"

Propping herself up on her fist she smiled at him. "You look like a knight to me. Not every knight has armor sometimes they come in rags but I've heard of noble souls who wear none at all!" She chuckled at the thought of a man trying to save her and had his dingle dangle hanging out. She just happened to be taking a drink at the end of the thought as she coughed on ale and started laughing. "Oh my.. my mind wanders."

She jumped out of her seat and slammed her hands on the bar. "Then why don't we leave together? Why don't we go on a journey! We're not getting any younger! You and me we could go all over the lands and see everything! If you are worried about your mother I could ask a favor of my mother! Wouldn't that be wonderful!"

She blushed and stared at Dart. "Will you come with me? It has been my dream for a very long time to leave Adeluna and the Temple to go out and see the world. It would please my mother to know I am happy finally." Maybe this was her purpose.

Dart smiled almost shyly, his face still a touch pink from blushing. "A f-friend is al-always a welcome th-thing," he replied. "F-Father always y-you couldn't p-put a p-price on a l-l-loyal companion. I w-would b-b-be hon-hon-honored to c-call s-s-someone l-like you a f-friend," he smiled. He chuckled at the thought of being anyone's white knight, especially hers. No one had really made him think such things aside from his own mother of course.

"I don't kn-know about a kn-kn-knight, but I don't b-b-believe your c-claim of b-being useless," he said with a slight laugh. He listened to her words intently, slowly swirling his drink around in his mug. She was right, and it struck him as amazing that she could be filled with such wisdom despite her incredibly young appearance. Of course, then she clarified that her mother would have told him the same thing and it made perfect sense to him. He chuckled. "I th-th-think our m-mothers w-w-wouldg-get along," he chuckled.

"You are r-right though. I-I don't w-want to be a b-b-busboy f-forever. M-m-my f-father was a w-warrior, and a great man. One day, I w-want to t-travel and do great things as he did. R-right now, I am w-working to b-be able to k-k-keep my mother provided for, and t-to s-s-save up for a journey. I l-l-learned much from m-m-my father before he died, and I p-practice with his old t-training equipment every n-night," he told her.

Author: Foxglove, Posted: Sat Nov 28, 2015 6:22 PM, Post Subject: Of Stuttering and Flowers [P]

Foxglove gave him a smile and didn't even argue with him. She was going to do it anyways. She studied his features for a moment before thinking on his words. "I just want a friend. A friend that is free spirited and can be able to keep up with me. You are a kind soul, my mother taught me to read people and I can tell."

There was a smile that crossed those lips that spelled that she was completely serious with him. "You can be a friend right? Someone who is there for me when no other can? Like a white knight. You would be glorious as a white knight!" She chuckled as she envisioned him in the best shining armor there was. She took a drink out of her mug and smiled. "And I am just a useless daughter who can't find her place in the world."

For a moment she was sad but she perked up. "There are people who would argue with the both of us. The point is we can be of use to each other." She gently tapped her fingers on the table and blushed. "You are much more than the role you fill. You are someone's son, maybe sibling, someone's white knight, future husband, and if you will it future father. That is what my mother would say to you right now. You are not just a busboy not to me and certainly not to others. Just like I am not a useless daughter to my mother."

She drank the mug and thought about it for a moment more. "I'm sure you have the best dreams and you have a goal. I want to find my purpose in this world past.. well past being what I am." She had to be careful as she thought about her place in the world. "You are very lucky to meet all the people you do even if they don't like to think much of you. They are idiot and should be smacked upside the head." She gave him a reassuring smile.

"I can sing and I can dance but I will never be like my sister Holly who is a bard. I can recite poetry from old tomes but I will never be on the level some of my sisters are when it comes to being a scholar. I am still trying to find my place in the world and I am sure you are too."

Dart chuckled as he set down his tray and refilled Foxglove's mug and passed it to her before filling himself a panniken and sat across the bar from her.
"You w-wouldn't have t-to do that," Dart chuckled as he sat down and took a sip of his drink.

"W-w-what do you w-want f-from me? I-I d-don't know what I can d-do for you, really…" he said sounding a little nervous.  "I mean, I am j-just a b-busboy, a-after all."

Author: Foxglove, Posted: Fri Nov 20, 2015 8:03 PM, Post Subject: Of Stuttering and Flowers [P]

Foxglove giggled lightly at the look he was giving her and smiled more. "Well I thank you very much Dart. You certainly showed him you aren't one to mess with." She was full of compliments tonight. "My mother taught me to know how to win a fight."

The red head was completely amused when he got beet red on her. "I'll be waiting then." She heard the tavern laugh but she was ready for him as she watched him catch the glasses. Honestly he was really cute. She drank from her mug as she waited for him.

As the night progressed she waited for him by the bar. People like her were use to time moving quickly after all they were long lived. She smiled at him and laughed. "Only if you sit next to me and drink with me. Take a break." She patted the seat next to her. "I want to get to know you and can't if the tavern closes. Hell at this point I would even wash dishes next to you."

Dart escorted the sailor out of the tavern door before he released him and turned and went back inside. He wasn't blind to the look of rage the sailor gave him, but didn't think anything of it. He returned to the dining room of the tavern and went and collected his tray from the young red-head's table. He paused as she grabbed his sleeve, and smiled sheepishly as she complimented his strength, and ran a hand through his hair nervously.
"Uhh… Dart. I-I am j-j-just glad I was h-here to do m-my job," he said as he held his tray at his side. "I d-do believe y-you c-c-could have… b-but I was b-brought up t-to treat women w-with respect and to protect them," he explained. He was surprised as she got up from her table and walked with him back to the bar. "I am g-glad that it d-d-didn't upset you," he added as he put down his tray and began filling up mugs and passing them out to patrons. He blushed even more than she did when she asked him to have a drink with her.

"Umm… yeah, s-s-sure. It m-might b-be a while though. T-tonight is one of the b-b-busiest n-n-nights of the w-week," Dart replied as he began wiping down the bar. He went beet red as Foxglove leaned over the bar and kissed him lightly on the cheek. In fact it surprised him so bad he actually jumped backwards and and ran into the shelf of glasses. Expertly he caught the falling glasses and replaced them on the shelf, laughing nervously, and getting a few laughs out of the patrons as well. He cleared his throat nervously, his face still burning, and went back to work, though he did hide a sheepish smile as he looked over a Foxglove briefly before he was called back onto the floor for drinks.

His mind was actually reeling. Most girls thought him cute, but the stutter usually just made them giggle and pay him little attention other than being acquaintances or even friends. No one had actually kissed him, let alone for just doing his job.

He barely had any time to think about the kiss, as things got really busy and he was running around the dining room delivering drinks and food for the next hour or so. Finally things began to calm down, and the dining room's activity began to dwindle down as patrons left to go home for the night, and Dart was able to slow down enough that he wasn't practically jumping over chairs to serve his drinks. He left a load of dishes in the kitchen to be done before he went back out to the bar to where Foxglove was waiting.

"As I s-said, v-very b-busy," he chuckled. "R-refill?"

Foxglove wasn't about to let a man talk to her like that. She came from a warrior race. A race much like the amazons. Her ivy eyes narrowed down at him. “You wish you could teach me a lesson.” She was going to teach him one but before she could she was shocked by the tavern boy. The anger left her lips as she was full of laughter before she picked up her new mug.

She sipped on the new ale and watched him. “You are quite strong.” She caught him by his sleeve when he went past her the next time. “My name is Foxglove.” She offered him a smile through all the noise and excitement. “Thank you for helping me. Though I am sure I could have taught him a lesson, I thoroughly enjoyed watching you teach him more.”

She blushed a bit and got up to walk with him to the bar. “Will you have a drink with me? When you are free I mean. I will pay for it since you helped me. You have been a great server as well best tavern boy I've seen in a while.” A soft smile was on her face as she leaned over and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Dart passed out drinks left and right before he finally reached Foxglove at her table and handed her the last mug he had on his tray.
"There y-you g-g-go, Miss," he smiled brightly. He had noticed how she had watched him, though he didn't let on. He didn't get much of a chance to say anything else to her before her loud mouthed companion yelled at him, demanding an ale as he slipped his arm, quite obviously around Foxglove's shoulders without any regards to her wishes. Dart felt a flash of anger rising in the pit of his stomach, but was actually stunned when the lovely redhead smashed her mug into the sailor's face, and sent him sprawling into the next table over, ale and food and chair scattering across the floor and all over patrons. Dart looked at the young lady in surprise as she actually made all the fragments of her broken mug fly up from off the floor into a nice pile on the table, saying that she wanted another ale, from him specifically.

He didn't say anything, but swept the mess of the mug onto his tray, and hustled over to the bar to retrieve the requested drink. He reached the table again at about the point that the sailor was picking himself up off the floor, his shirt covered in ale, and nose swelling greatly due to the blow he had received. Just as Dart placed the drink in front of Foxglove, the man reached out to grab her.

"You little bitch! I'll teach you a lesson in civility!" he snarled at her. Instinctively, Dart's hand shot out and grabbed the man by the wrist rather tightly.

"I w-wouldn't do that, Sir," the lanky busboy warned. The sailor growled and swung his fist at Dart, catching the teenager square in the jaw and knocked him to the floor.

"Keep out of this, you half-wit!" the sailor snapped at Dart. Dart shook off the daze of being hit and rubbed his jaw. He jumped to his feet as the man lunged at Foxglove again, and swung his tray as hard as he could, catching the sailor across the head before he dropped the fractured platter and grabbed the man's arms and pinned them behind the sailor's back, and drove him into a nearby table.

"I s-s-said leave the l-lady alone," Dart growled as he showed remarkable strength despite his lanky size and hauled the sailor towards the main door to escort him from the premises.

Foxglove gave Dart a cheerful smile as she  waited for her ale. She clapped happily to the music and found herself staring over to the cheerful boy. He seemed to be around her age and unlike the rest of the men in the tavern he was quiet and outspoken. He attracted her attention much better than the bulking man. “It doesn't look like I have a choice.” She smiled to the man who appeared to want her attention much more then she wanted Dart's.

Her green eyes moved to the man who was trying to make all sort of conversation. She nodded along but her eyes still followed the boy as her hands brought up her ale and she took a long sip. “Boy I want a damn ale. Can't you tell when a man is thirsty.” The man yelled as he put his arm around her. Foxglove huffed a bit as she raised the mug and smashed it into his face. He went through a table and the men sitting at it jumped up.

She folded her legs behind the chair's legs like a lady before looking at her broken mug. “I need another ale from the cute waiter boy!” She moved her finger softly and the broken remnants of the mug moved up and over to the table behind her into a pile. “There all picked up so you don't have to work too hard.”

"Of c-c-course, M-miss," Dart replied cheerfully before he turned and moved off, being hailed by several others as he passed for more rounds. He went to the bar and pulled out several of the tall mugs and began to fill them with the Tavern's best, rich, frothy ale from the tap before he loaded it all up onto a tray and moved back out onto the dining room floor.

His eyes had rarely left the main room, as it was part of his job to help sort out any problem guests or patrons when they got too rowdy. His focus, however, had been more on the young red-head, which actually proved a very good thing. As he had been filling up the mugs, and even before, he had been aware of how many of the patrons had come up and asked her for a dance. Despite her refusals, there was one in particular who seemed unable to take "NO" for an answer.

"Alright, Miss, if you aren't going to dance, I will just join you," he said as he had a seat at the table with Foxglove. Dart's eyes narrowed, while carefully maneuvering his rather long legs around chairs and bodies, depositing the mugs down upon the tables to the guests who had asked for refills.

She looked up at him and the first thing she noticed was his stutter but she offered him a kind smile. “An ale please. My voice is strung out from all the singing. Its always so lively here in the evenings.” She looked out towards the crowd and turned her head only to give a wink.

Another shanty song began and she happily clapped along with the crowd as everyone got merry. Foxglove's face lit up as many men came to her and asked her to dance. She rejected each one as a finger came up and slightly twirled a soft red lock around. Ever shy her face was turning all colors red before Dart came back over with her ale. Once in hand she took it and drank a good bit of it.

D'Artagnan, more commonly called Dart by those in the tavern, looked up as the door opened and in walked a young woman. She was quite lovely, with a lot of vibrant red hair that fell about her shoulders. He heard her join in almost immediately with the raucous singing of the shanty of the moment, before she flopped into an empty seat, apparently out of breath. She called to him about a drink, and he nodded, and quickly scooped up the mugs and plates he had been collecting from an empty table, and wiped the crumbs from it. He quickly deposited the dishes in the kitchen and came over to where the breathless red-head now sat and smiled at her.

"W-w-what can I g-get f-f-f-for y-you, M-m-miss?" he asked politely over the din of the dining room, though his tongue was having some trouble forcing the words out between his lips. A brief flash of embarrassment painted his cheeks at his inability to speak properly, but it faded, unlike the smile he still had on his face.

Like usual the Mother did her shoving motion and most of the children left her side. It had to be hard to have so many children all wanting your attention at once. Staying silently against the wall she stared out into the space where she believed she had no place. It did not take much for Angela’s attention to shift to the young one as she strolled over. A hug was given to her for after all they were connected. Angela was her mother but in a different sense. The earth had birthed her into Angela’s arms. “Go have fun alright?” Angela tucked a strand of red hair behind Foxglove’s ear. A gentle nod came from her but she could still find no words at least verbally.

I feel like I don’t belong. I feel like I am not one of them. It was the plus side to being the avatar of the goddess. There didn’t have to be verbal communication. Angela put her lips to the girl’s forehead and smiled before sending her off to Adeluna. It was good for her to get out and see people she wasn’t family with. Plus it helped keep Angela in contact with everyone.

Deciding to go for the tavern she found the singing merrymen and decided to open the door. She squealed a bit as she jumped out of the way of a flying bottle. “Things never change around here.” She grabbed a man to dance with and swung him around singing songs. Her voice flew high as most Rosens did. Her hair was long and red while her eyes a pleasant green with a red ring around the pupil. After a while she stopped and took a breath calling over the brown haired man. “Can I can a drink please?” She fell back into a chair laughing.

It was a normal evening like any other, and it had been a normal day as well. Sailors and other patrons were drinking, being rowdy and it was only a matter of time before the typical sea shanty singing contest started up. Though if the night passed without that frivolity, it wasn't going to hurt the feelings of one of the Tavern worker's feelings. D'Artagnan Tallow had been working at the Tavern for a couple months now, as a dishwasher, cook, and busboy, and bartender, whatever was really needed. Usually, he was kept out of sight in the kitchen, but tonight was busy enough that he had been ordered to help wait on the tables. He didn't mind waiting on tables, he was handsome enough in appearance to actually help please the few female patrons. As a matter of fact, so long as he wasn't expected to hold much conversation, he got along well with many of the patrons. The young human came out of the kitchen, wearing a clean white shirt with his sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a dark vest, and a short apron over dark pants and boots. His dark brown hair was slicked back out of his face in an almost charming manner, and whatever of it was long enough was braided down his back. He had a pleasant smile on his face as he carried his tray of food and drink to the patrons.
