After an interesting encounter in the Virens forest and a night she'd never forget in a village nearby the silver haired woman was out on her journey once again. The edge of the forest had been reached and now what lay before her was mountains and the Ancense Ruins. Mercury eyed closed as she remembered the view from when she had first emerged into the light. It had been hard to see, the sun had been so bright, but she vaguely recalled the scene. The Ancense ruins had been to her left and a forest of trees before her. Following the base of the mountain she started her path, wondering if the sign was still there.

It took a few hours but finally it came into view. At the base of a steep cliff on the mountain face was what something red and sparkling in the sun. As she approached she nodded. It looked like a pool of dried blood but seemed to shine like rubies on the rocks and grass. She knelt down and put her hand to the sparkling mass. "This is where I fell. It must be above then." She said and looked up. This wasn't going to be an easy climb, you couldn't even tell what was up there, it seemed like nothing but a solid mountain. She approached the cliff and placed her hands upon it she let out a slow breath and closed her eyes in deep concentration. There was a rumbling as hand and footholds popped out of the fave of the cliff. She let her hands drop breathing heavily, earth magic was her worst element. It took so much energy for just a small result, but none the less she had succeeded in what she wanted. "Time to ascend." She said simply before starting her climb. Without her magic she wasn't the strongest of people so it took quite a lot of effort and time for her to make it up the cliff. Once she found a small ledge she peeked her head over and a bright smile burst forth "It's here!"she called out and stupidly looked down at how far she had come. It was a dizzying height that made her clutch tightly to the rocks. After giving herself a moment to calm down she managed to get herself completely over the edge. Her arms felt like jello and were shakey and she was a bit out of breath. It was here though, what she had been looking for the place of awakening.

Before her was a dark gash in the rocks looking almost like it was cut by some creature instead of a naturally formed entrance. She sat in front if the darkness and closed her eyes, she could feel something from within, an aura that either had recently taken up residence or she had not noticed when she had awoken. Something was inside, something dangerous yet incredibly sad. The sorrow and rage that washes over her from this aura were close to unbearable, but she'd have to manage. What she was seeking was inside this cave and she intended to find it.

It was nice to take a moment to herself and enjoy the open air. Feeling the light breeze flow through her hair, the bits of sun that leaked through the foliage of trees, and the smell of nature around her. It was a simple comfort, to be sure, but such simplicites were rarely enjoyed, and she was sure to enjoy some after a tense work week. After all, tending to the needs of another were often more taxing than needed (And the heartbreak of ending an agreement on the spot is always a rough thing to do, no matter how much she plasters on that smile).

However, it was during this walk did Jesgil come across the cliff-side wall, where a pool of red rested nearby. While color was lost form its age, the shimmer it gave made it seem fresher than what it should be. This placed Jesgil in a worry. Was there someone nearby injured? The blood did not lead anywhere else… unless they climbed up the wall… That can't be, she told herself, looking up the face. After all, if they were injured, it would be tougher to pull themselves up something so tall. Then again, adrenaline was a factor that likes to trigger to save people from death.

An annoyed groan left her lips as she looked around again, just in case before back up before giving in and taking hold onto whatever she could, pushing herself towards the top with the same adrenaline that she expected the wounded person to have. If there was an injured being up there, then it was in her best effort to tend to them.

It took a few minutes of climbing before the Draconian maid finally found the top of the cliff, pulling herself up, and too her feet, being sure to dust off her uniform before looking around, quick to find an actual person up top! Rushing up to the resting person, she called out, "Are you okay?" before looking her over. "Where does it hurt?"

With a start Lily woke up, she had fallen asleep sitting in front of the fave when she had closed her eyes. She looked around startled and xonfused, her eyes locking onto a woman and staring in silence for a few moments before realizing that she had spoken to her. It took a few more moments to recall what had been said, so it was just her staring at this stranger for quite a while before she smiled and laughed. She waved a hand at her and said, "I'm fine, just got a bit tired from the climb." Realizing this woman must have made the climb as well and remembering what was at the bottom she said a bit more low key, "Ooooh, the blood. Yeah, I'm sorry thay actually happened several months ago when I fell off of here actually. I'm just coming back to find some answers, but it appears something else has taken up residence inside and I'm trying to figure out the best way to deal with it." She paused and looked back at the cave with a sad look, "Such rage, such sorrow. Would it be kinder to put it out of it's misery or let it remain as it is?" She wasnt really asking as a question, more just thinking out loud. After a few moments she sighed and looked at the stranger. "I really do apologise for causing you such trouble. Even so, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lily, I woke up in there a few months ago from a long sleep." She stood and put her hand out to shake if the other woman felt like it.

There was a sit of silence after the other explained herself before a heavy sigh of relief escaped her lips. "Thank goodness," she muttered in terms of her safety, though the other was not afraid to reflect on what chaos laid before them that should have more worry towards them. Still, she was sure to redirect it back to the moment at hand with introductions, offering a handshake. Normally, she would greet more as a bow, but she knew it would be much ruder to deny her offer, and thus accepted her hand into her own.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Lily. I am Jesgil: a wandering maid willing to aid those in dire need. If you ever need it, I hope I can be of service to you." She flashed her a smile once more before returning her hands in front of her apron before turning towards the cave itself. "May I ask if you have yet to investigate what is inside as of yet?"

A sigh escaped her as she looked to the cave once more and shook her head. "I haven't had the time to investigate as of yet. All I know about it so far is what little I remember from waking up in there. Going in I'm not sure how far the walk but eventually there is a large body of water. I'm not sure how deep but… I recall how cold it was and the way it felt, like the hands of death reaching up and penetrating into your very soul type of cold, makes me think it is very deep. I lost my shoes in there. Then along the far wall is a half collapsed tunnel some ways up that i managed to crawl down before falling into the water. At the end of the tunnel is the chamber in which I awoke. I don't know if it was just because of the state I was in then or maybe it wasn't there before, but now there is a definite presence somewhere in there, full of pain, sorrow, rage, et cetera. The whole spectrum of negative emotions. When I project my magic forth to try and get a better picture… it's hazy before it breaks for some reason, but it's something very large, and dangerous." She nodded then turned to Jesgil with a mask of seriousness. "I won't ask you to come with me, but I also won't stop you if you choose to. I don't want to put you in a dangerous situation, especially since not very much is known, but you look to be an adult and are capable of making your own decisions. Just know the danger is real and the possibility of a positive outcome is around 37% with the limited knowledge." She then let a soft smile flash across her features before waving and saying, "I'm headed in, stay safe in whatever your decision may be."

Her mercury colored eyes then took on a more reflective appearance as her magic raged though her, changing her eyes to that suited to see better in the dark. She made her way forward slowly, the path wasn't very wide, only wide enough so that if she straightened her elbows out they would both run across the sides, it was also only a few inches above her head. This went on for a few minutes before suddenly it opened up into an enormous space. Things were a bit fuzzy with her altered vision but she could just make out the ceiling which appeared at first glance to be just a normal rock structure but when staring for long enough it became apparent it wasn't natural. Even thpugh the rock formations had seemed to grow upon the ceiling it was still a level and relatively smooth structure. The walls made this fact much more evident as they were smooth and cover in a black slime. Lily walked over to a far wall and was about to touch the slime when some word of warning seemed to tickle at the back of her mind and she withdrew her hand. "This is not what I expected." She said quietly, her voice echoing making it seem much louder.  She ventured further into the darkness, her night sight eyes were even having trouble picking up much so she let her magic fade. Her vision was completely dark now so she summoned forth a small fire elemental. It looked similar to a fairy from those old stories except it's entire body was composed of flames… and it didn't seem like it really wanted to be there. "I'm sorry to call upon you in a place like this but I would appreciate your help if you wouldn't mind." Lily said to it and it seemed to sigh and waved it's fiery little hand and several fire balls appeared and spread out through the gigantic room. It seemed mostly empty but Lily could feel the creature's emotions and it wasn't far. The rage seemed to grow as if it knew it territory had been invaded. A rumbling could be heard deep within the cave. It drew her attention but a heap by the door, yes a door, seemed to draw her in. She approached cautiously and knelt down by it. It was a pile of clothes, the fabric was mostly rotted away. She picked it up gingerly and it fell apart at her touch. Inside were bones. She let out a small gasp. She didn't know why but she was compelled to investigate this dead being more. She rummaged through the bones before letting out a cry and falling backwards. Amidst the dead bones was a small stone of emerald green that seemed to flicker to life with a green light to match the color. The stone seemed to struggle to maintain its life as sorrow filled her and she carefully moved forward again and picked up the stone. She cradled it in her palm and said quietly, "Edrugon sir, issa mandia." The stone flickered once more before fading as if it was dying in her hands. She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath before standing up and slipping the stone into one of her pouches. She then looked through the door and said, "Its just up ahead." The little fire elemental seemed reluctant to cross the barrier of the door and Lily could understand why. The radiating waves of hatred and pain were washing over them with such a force that it could probably be felt by those unable to feel others emotions normally. She stepped through the doorway, the little fire elemental zipped up under her hair at the back of her neck but the flaming orbs followed, leaving a few to mark the exit lest they get lost. The next room seemed impossibly larger and went on farther than the eyes could see. From deep within the darkness a hissing could be heard. A few steps farther and something gigantic lunged forth. She let out a startled cry and dove to the side. It was now visible. A creature like nothing she had ever seen before was before her. It was impossibly large, resembling a milipede in structure but oh so different. Instead of normal insect legs it had so many boney arms with hands at the ends that were long and fingers that were dagger like. It's body, though the shape was right, seemed to be made of thousands of humanoid bodies. It's head was the same, made up if bodies, it's eyes seemed to be dark pits that if you stared into them too long you'd be drawn into an abyss. She was terrified. This thing, she could feel the pressure of its presence upon her mind and in a moment of weakness she let out a cry as she flung forth her magic and it it with a fiery explosion. The thing recoiled for a moment but quickly recovered, seemingly undamaged. It's dark eyes then flashed, changing into red burning orbs of death and hatred. Lily gasped as she felt this strange thing drawing out her strength. How was that possible… unless. Was this one of the creatures that were more even to her people? A creature that fed off the magical energies of others, bleeding them dry? If so, she was in serious trouble. Unlike beings from this time, she couldn't survive without her magic it was her life's blood.  Her eyes darted about the room quickly, noticing several piles like the one she had found before this room. Perhaps she had not been the only one of her mind trapped here and as they had awoken this…thing…. had killed them all. She finally found her voice as the thing lunged forth once more, ramming into the wall causing the whole place to shake as she dodged out of the way. "Be careful! It feeds on magic and has a resistance to it as well." She could feel herself getting weaker by the moment as she had given it something to latch onto her magic with when she had attacked it. She drew forth what strength she could and summoned her sword, kindness, to her aid. This was the only way she could thing of to destroy this thing. Normally she was against killing but what else could she do in this situation?
