When the mysterious voice blanketed the city in its regal melody, most would have risen to arms and take on the task to look for the trinkets that would aid the gods. Sadly, when it reached his delicate ears, Baeleth wasn’t the sort to care about the affairs of the so-called divine. Nay, their squabbles weren’t his concern, and the state of this realm fell onto a similar category. If anything, he would welcome the devastation that it would deserve, much like the old world. Yet, he couldn’t help but listen to the masses as they mumbled amongst themselves, torn between risking their lives to save the realm or not wanting to partake in it and tried to justify their reasoning. It mattered little to the dark knight as his cold, piercing eyes watched from a good distance away- were they not aware that because of these divine interventions that their lives were constantly in jeopardy? That this Voice entity was the one that leads this world into every course of disaster?

He could feel Nefwyr’s taste for flesh and blood, yet he kept it at bay. One goddess is believed to have gone rogue, and another from what he had heard was in critical condition. The great protectors were nothing but false idols in his eyes yet he was in the minority, at least in Adeluna. These pitiful sheep he was surrounded by were the prime example of what he had grown to loathe and only through the promise of ruin would a new world be born, a better one that he yearned for. And it was from a single voice that reached his ears with its sweet promises once before and led to his kinsmen’s demise. He broke down the damned barrier to the glorious dragon that was to recreate the old world and upon its release…those changes didn’t occur.

Instead, he was stuck here because of a voice and now another was trying to lead to into further avoid the inevitable? His seldom demeanor shifted, his lined lips fell into a deep scowl. Hatred burnt from his heart for all around him, for this city of lies, for this voice. He withdrew his spear and granted Nefwyr its wish as it found itself going through some unknown citizen’s back. The others were made aware of the heinous deed with the wails of the dying man.

“You damn cattle, you learn nothing no matter what world I am forced upon.” His words were spat with venom as he tore Nefwyr away from the man; its blade blessed by the dripping crimson liquid. “You serve slothful, fickle hearted creatures that in turn, follow a cowardly entity.” His words were deafened by the panic he had caused as people scrambled away while he looked for this Voice character. “You speak of saving them, yet much of the calamity they suffer is because of you and your minions. They should instead welcome the oblivion that this “problem” offers.”
