Lirin

Character Info
Name: Lirin Amber Vendethiel
Age: 37
Alignment: LN
Race: Elvish
Gender: Female
Class: Vampiric Huntress
Silver: 194
When the vampire actually stopped and contemplated recent events, she realized she had all but abandoned her typical hunting habits. If she was being completely honest to herself, Lirin found she missed the old ways. There was a sense of honor in it, dignity, a way to show others of her kind there were alternative ways to obtain sustenance. Trusting Tadhg to avoid trouble for awhile, Lirin left his side.

The wind currents led her through Adeluna. For a moment, Lirin briefly considered the Winking Mermaid, but quickly dismissed the notion. Rowdy patrons, drunk clients, the sour blood. No, the vampire yearned for something with a little more class. Deeper into the capital she delved, searching for something to suit her desires.

Finally, she came upon a two story building. White bricks meticulously assembled with marble pillars. Plumes of red fabric hung from the windows above, waving gently in the breeze as banners. Lirin materialized from the air and approached the smartly dressed men at the door. ”Good evening, gentlemen. Does the master of the establishment have use for a minstrel?”

With the very flattering black dress that sparkled with small stones no bigger than pin pricks, her hair curled and decorated with diamonds, and her charm spell, the two were puddy in her hands. Lirin soon found herself on a small stool with a soft glow shining down upon her, and a room full of eyes expectantly upon her. All of the noble guests have spent time up at the courts with the royal family. Their expectations would be high. A flourish of her hand revealed a beautifully etched flute.

Ivy curved and curled around the ivory instrument. Soft, and rich, the slow melody relaxed her crowd, pleasing their ears. At the same time, her scent snaked around the room laced with the charm spell, attempting to charm someone, anyone to pay special attention to her. Whoever was caught would attempt to purchase her a drink, typically, maybe flirt, and be susceptible for a single sip of their life giving blood.

Zeref sat at a table alone, twiddling a coin with his hands to “pass the time”. His mind, however, was elsewhere, eyes distant, his drink the only thing he had touched. He was feeling down- no, this was more than that, his heart had been broken. He had been dating a beautiful woman for several months, a relationship that was starting to become quite serious. He had fallen in love, so much so that he had considered marriage. But when he had taken her out on another date, he learned that she had been cheating on him. Of course, he had to end their relationship. He had felt something break inside of him the moment he realized he was being cheated on, and again when he left her, and again now that he was still thinking about her. He was in so much pain.

Finally, he dropped the coin onto the top of the table, finished off what had to be his fourth full glass of wine, and sat back in his chair lazily with a heavy sigh. He rarely ever drank, but every time his heart was broken he practically drowned himself in wine until he stumbled back into his mansion a drunkard. But tonight he didn’t want to go back to his mansion. All of those empty halls and empty rooms offered him no comfort. On nights like this that mansion felt like a prison, its stone walls closing him off from everyone else. So he tried to stay here, just a little longer so he didn’t have to go back. He knew he would have to at some point, though. And then he’d stay in bed for a few days or weeks -depending on how bad he was feeling- without speaking to anyone or even stepping out for a little sun. Well, he guessed it was his fault the house felt like a prison.

Feeling a little buzzed from the wine, his mind finally started to wonder away from his ex. This was when he finally noticed things around him, including the music that was being played. The song was catchy, and out of curiosity he averted his eyes over to the one playing the music. And that was the moment this poor unfortunate soul was caught in her charm. He couldn’t help but stare at the beautiful woman, his lips slightly gapped. For a moment he forgot how to breath, until the wine kicked in and he smirked, his slightly drunk state making him think unclearly and bring back his flirtatious nature. However, this would come back to bite him later on.

As she played, her eyes scanned the room. Many had fallen under her charm, but none deep enough for what she needed. Her song continued as she idly played with the idea of trying out her new panpipes she had recently acquired. It was an enchanted item, yet, was not something she wanted to use at the present time. Especially when her eyes locked onto a pair of golden orbs staring at her. The way his lips parted, that smirk with the way his hair framed his face just so. In a word, he was drop dead gorgeous.

Of course, he was not her demon, but that was not what tonight was about. She winked a single green flecked, blue eye at him as the music went into a crescendo with increased tempo. This was the climax of the piece. Originally, it is to accompany a storyteller as they spun a tale about a farm boy becoming a hero to save a woman of noble descent where all others before him failed. Action decrescendoed into sweet love as she fell in love with her rescuer. Before long, the song ended, and Lirin gave a deep bow to the polite applause. As she stood, she looked at the man with a smirk of her own, playful and seductive before lowering her eyes almost demurely.

The vampiress stepped down from the small stage and made her way towards the bar where she made her order of mulled wine. While she waited, her forearms were folded on the counter, all her weight on one leg, the other bent at the knee. Her back had that graceful arch, which accentuated her curves at every angle. All the while, she kept giving side-long glances at the dark and handsome elf, for she saw his ears now. Lirin bit her lip, and glanced away, a blush creeping along her cheeks and her own elvish ears.

Finally, her wine was handed to her, and the vampire debated on whether to stay where she was, or approach him. Usually, men would have approached her by now. It was okay, she could approach him. The results were usually the same. Wine glass in hand, her hips swayed as she almost stalked up to his table, a smoldering grin accompanying an intense stare into those golden eyes. ”What is a gorgeous slice of heaven doing all alone in a place like this?” Lirin asked as she helped herself to a chair next to him.
