Walking from a nearby town he'd been staying at for a few days. Jake decided that he was gonna do a bit of fishing. So after conversing with a few people, he was told of a nearby dock where he could get a boat. Jake began to whistle an old seamans tune as he walked. This was going to be exciting, Jake hadn't gone fishing in a long while. In fact he'd only recently acquired a new fishing rod; and he'd got this one on the cheap. Though whether the guy was just done with fishing or if the rod was just garbage Jake would have to wait and see. Looking around the bard took in the beautiful autumn scenery.

After a little bit the path the bard followed began hugging the lake. It was at this point that Jake noticed the giant lily pads. Being Jake it was unsurprising that he decided to say screw the boat I'm gonna use one of those lily pads. Albeit he'd first have to swim out and climb onto one. Though little details like this were unlikely to stop him. Though Jake did decide to walk around for a bit to try and find a lily pad that was closer to the shores to get onto. None of the pads seemed to grow particularly close to the shore so the bard looked around for one that he thought would fit the bill well.

After seeing the perfect lily pad Jake tied his backpack with most of his stuff up a nearby tree. Deciding to only bring the rod his bait and his instruments with him. Reasoning that fishing would be rather dull without music to accompany it. How would he be able to keep a good grip on fishing rod, while also playing some music. Well Jake wasn't gonna let that little detail get in the way of his plans. So after removing his shirt and tying it to his lute Jake jumped into the water and began to swim for the so called perfect lily pad.

Oh, the lake. A pretty place where some people fish, other just swim and some others simply relax. Well, Tacitus Silanus was there for simply no reason at all, he simply wanted to take a rest from all the bloodshed that usually surrounds him. Of course, he with his armor and only a sword, no shield at all and his best servant Cassia, an 11 year old girl.

Cassia was carring Silanus´ backpack, which was full of food and clothes, nothing unusual there. They decided to rest at the lake for some time, and perhaps eat there. Silanus was not very comfortable with the idea of such thing as a resting trip, since he was usually in his camp with his comrades preparing attacks and that sort of violent things, but this…? Travelling to see a lake? His cousin Illia told him to do so, since he seemed to be very nervous, had very little sleep and didn´t think in anything other than war. Perhaps she was right, and resting from his dangerous daily routine might help a little.

Silanus and his servant Cassia sat down near the lake, looking at the big lily pads, the fish splashing and a man swimming… A man swimming? Not very… Usual. Silanus thought to himself: "That guy… I think I know him… Must be my imagination…" Silanus walked a little closer to the water, carefully looking for the swimming man. He looked really familiar.

The distance to the lily pad turned out to be farther than the young bard expected. Still he had made up his mind to use the lilypad and dammit that's what he was gonna do. Eventually though he did reach the lily pad and began trying to climb onto it.Using a lily pad as a boat turned out to be considerable harder than Jake had anticipated. As it had a horrible tendency to wobble around under the bard as he attempted to climb on. The world was Seemingly trying to stop Jake from trying to use this lily pad, but the world could go screw itself. When all else failed the bard could always count on brute determination to help him accomplish any task he undertook.

However Jake's flailing around was temporarily interrupted when he saw two people on the shore. One appeared to be a young girl? It was rather difficult to tell at this distance. The other looked rather familiar, he was definitely a man. The man was also wearing some unusual armor that Jake had sworn he had seen before. "Hmm interesting I should go say hello. After I get on the damn lily pad!". Saying the first part rather quietly as a sort of note to self. The second however was a full on yell declaring Jake's intentions to the world. Turning back to the lily pad and springing out of the water Jake finally managed to accomplish his goal.

With that the bard began to try and move the lily pad closer to the shore. Which was easier said than done as Jake had no paddle to speak of. Unless he wanted to use his lute, which was an abhorrent thought to Jake. So using his hands he slowly shimmied towards the shore. Upon getting a closer look Jake realized he did recognize the man. It was the guy he'd fought the mountain troll with. Oh what was his name, Jake thought for a moment. Oh that's right it's "Silanus! Good to see you!"

Silanus turned his glance at the lily-sailor. He seemed to know his name, but Silanus could not remember… How did they meet? The man's voice seemed to be familiar… He was a singer, a bard! Now the soldier remembered, it was Jake, the bard at the mountain. Good times…

Silanus waved his hand and said: "Long time to not see you, Jake! What….Brings you to a ehm… Lily pad?" Cassia, Silanus' servant, chuckled a little. Jake seemed so silly, "navigating" in a giant water leaf. She asked Silanus: "Excuse me sir, may I ask who is that man in the leaf?" Silanus glared down at her and tried to explain, however a little creature interrupted them.

A small sweet water crab was in the lily. It seemed to be frightened; the crab approached Jake's hand and began to climb it. It had no intention of harming, it was just a reaction the animal had.
