The first light of day was Divine’s favorite. The way the morning sky was beautiful in its colorful way. It started the new day off right when Divine opened her eyes to see the sky. The elf smiled to herself, this new land was the most beautiful she had ever seen. She had only been there a few weeks, but it was still lovely as every day past. Inhaling deep, the elf took in the morning air. It was refreshing.

Sitting up, the elf needed to find her breakfast. Her stomach growled in agreement. “Alright.” She nodded as she stood up, grabbing her bow and arrows and slung it over her head. “What for breakfast?” She asked aloud to herself as she moved along the river. The rushing waters and singing birds that flew over head made music for Divine to hum to as her eyes continued to look for a meal to eat.

In the distance, trees started to appear and a bright smile lit up the elf’s face. “A forest! Finally!” She said happily. Her favorite place to be were in the trees. Picking up her pace, she knew she would find something to eat there. Maybe a deer? A rabbit? or a bird? She wasn’t sure. “A deer would be nice..” She said to herself as she moved a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear.

It was quite a while before she reachthe treeline, she paused for a moment taking in the green of the trees and relaxing a bit. Leaning back against a tree trunk, the elf’s eyes moved upward. The sun's rays passing through the tree branches warmed her face. A small smile graced her lips; this moment reminded her of home.. Pushing the thoughts away, the woman pushed off the tree and decided it was time to head deeper into the forest.

With her eyes open, the elf hadn’t seen any animals just yet. Her movements soft and quiet on the leaves below her boots. She didn’t want to make any sound to disturb any meal she might have. Making her way through the forest, the elf noticed the change in the trees. Once flourishing green, they were now turning into a golden color. Almost as if it was autumn in the forest in the dead of spring. Confused, she continued along her way.

Divine’s elf ears heard the sound of a cracking twig, her eyes shot to the location. Seeing the deer run off further into the forest, the elf pulled her bow over her head and laid a single arrow on it. There it was, the animal that would sustain her body. Quickly and softly, the elf hurried to catch up to the deer. It wasn’t long before she caught up to the deer, stopping a few yards away, the elf raised her bow and aimed. Following the deer, she inhaled in and then out, steadying herself. Before she could shoot, a gasp left her lips. The deer had slowly made his way the shoreline of a lake. It wasn’t like any lake the woman had ever seen.

Slowly lowering her bow, Divine made her way towards the deer. Her eyes taking in the golden leaves that fell onto the lake that seemed to be frozen in autumn. The roaring waterfall quickly took her attention. It was as if this were a painting and she was just an admirer. Making her way to the shoreline, the elf dropped her bow onto the sand. From the giant flowers to the bridge on the other side of the lake, the elf’s eyes took in it’s beauty. Even the soft sounds of the deer hooves running off didn’t take her attention away.

“Beautiful.” The elf was finally able to speak. “Simply Beautiful..”
