"It spoke human?" She said looking over the water both hatchings sneaking off to again atack the bird thing. Vinsue wicled at them once she spotted what they were doing. Both stopped and walked up to Vinsue before climbing up to her shoulders and sat.Author: Saphira, Posted: Thu Oct 19, 2017 7:46 PM, Post Subject: Lunch on the Lake (O)
Saphira actually felt a little sorry for the little dragon, she hadn’t meant to injure the poor thing, but the way it had ‘attacked’ her she had a hard time grabbing a specific part of its body with her beak. She took a moment to preen the spot where the hatchling had bit her, adjusting the short feathers along her neck back into place as best she could. After that was done she swam to the shore of the lake and walked up onto land. Moving under the shade of a small tree, she laid down to rest a bit, watching the young woman with Turas, hoping no permanent harm had been done. After a while, she spread her wings and began preening the rest of her feathers, making sure they were all properly arranged to both keep her warm and to keep air resistance down to a minimum in flight. She wasn’t really paying much attention to the fact that Vinsue was talking to the hatchlings.Author: Vinsue, Posted: Thu Oct 19, 2017 9:13 AM, Post Subject: Lunch on the Lake (O)
The young dragon on her back stopped at the words. But did not have time to tilt its head before the goose bit its wing and flung her off. She scratched as she was in the air. With a big splash she landed in the water but did not come up untell she was almost on the bank.Author: Saphira, Posted: Mon Oct 9, 2017 11:18 PM, Post Subject: Lunch on the Lake (O)
Saphira was so busy eating herself that she failed to notice the dragon hatchlings that were planning on trying to have her for lunch. Well, that was at least until one of them leaped onto her back and started biting at the base of her neck. Rather surprised by this turn of events, since her head was still underwater as this all happened, she quickly spread her wings wide and pulled her head and neck above water, dropping a beak-full of the vegetation she was about to eat in the process. "Ouch! Get off!" She squawked at the hatchling on her back before attempting to bite the young dragon with the intent of holding on as she swung her neck to try and throw the dragon hatchling off of her.Author: Vinsue, Posted: Mon Oct 9, 2017 11:03 PM, Post Subject: Lunch on the Lake (O)
Vinsue had had quite an adventure so far. A few new treasures now sat in her backpack. Her backpack against a tree that was not far away as she sat agenst a tree resting in human form near the water. So far she had had a long flight and still had a long way home. For once the hood of her brown robe was down allowing her white hair to show as she slept in the hot sun.Author: Saphira, Posted: Mon Oct 9, 2017 10:02 PM, Post Subject: Lunch on the Lake (O)
Saphira has been on her own for a while now. Without the care and protection of the sorceress who made her what she was and raised her, she was lost. She still deeply misses her sorceress friend, but knows she must live for the future rather than dwelling on the past. Forced to live off the land, finding her own food and contending with natural predators was a much rougher life than she was used to, but she was adjusting. The wonder of the world beyond anything she ever knew helps to keep her going. It's a bright, sunny afternoon and Saphira is on the move, soaring through the skies overhead when she spots a lake up ahead. Drawn by it's beauty and also the prospect of the food it likely contained beneath it's surface, and perhaps also subconsciously by the magic of it's enchantment, she began flying toward it. As she neared the lake, she began to descend eventually coming to land upon the surface of the lake about two dozen feet from the Silver Road Wheelhouse. She looked around briefly before plunging her head down into the water, feeding on any aquatic plant life and small fish she could reach with the extension of her long slender neck. There seemed to be plenty to eat, which was good, because she was quite hungry. We have 1767 registered users.
