Vinsue was quick to wake up. she stretched and looked around before going on a hunt and bringing back some barriers for the girl to eat. she awoke the girl and soon they set off on there way. many of the next few days was spent walking soon after waking and even walking threw the night some but soon they found a city. one with sky ships like Vinsue was hoping for.

When the girl came around, it was late at night. She realised that Vinsue was fast asleep and the fire was burning low. Even her hair was nearly dry. So she laid down and allowed her own eyes to close. The sweet smell of the earth tickled her nose and she found herself soon floating in pleasant dreams.

ale would easily compliment the meal and make it complete but she was not good at making no water drinks and did not want to mess with something that could be so dangerous. she finished her part and when into the tree and laid down. she soon found sleep knowing that they had a long bit left to travel.

Synthesis hunkered down next to Vinsue in front of the fire. Her hair was still quite wet so she wrang it out in front of her and threw it back behind her again. At the sight of food, she realised she was quite hungry and at Vinsue's command, she was grateful to take some and begin chewing. It was a shame anything she produced was completely disgusting because else she would have payed Vinsue back a while a go.

"Thank you." She said.

In the meantime, between bites, the girl began humming idly to herself. She couldn't think of anything for them to talk about out and she was quite content to drink in the peaceful forest atmosphere. In fact… the girl reached out with her mind to the plantlife. Immediatly its gentle chatter soothed her. She was so used to its company that she found herself missing the sound of many tiny minds linking to make up a grand temple of nature such as this one. The trees slowly sheperded the little grassy shoots, the roots explored and twined, the leaves drank in the light. It was the most wonderful secret sactum to be allowed into their inner cummunion.

She let her eyes slid closed. She was still able to hear the noises of the physical world and she still slowly consumed the rest of her bread and cheese. However, at the same time, he mind wondered and she found herself lost in a green bliss. She swayed every now and again. She was tired, she was cold but she was content.

She had started laying dead leaves in the tree to make a comfy bed. once she was done she lit the pile that was well placed outside the tree. she than conjured up some bread and cheese. She sat down and started eating than looked at the girl. "eat."

Synthesis followed and nodded at the tree. It looked huge to be able to fit them both, even if it was going to be a little snug. She dropped the dragon skin outside and began handing het wet clothes of low tree branches. "I'll get some wood once I've finished this," she said, "That's a good tree you've found there. A lucky find, really."
Then she moved to pick up medium sized, dry sticks and some smaller twigs and leaves as kindling. She brought them over to the dragon and began arranging them just outside the tree. She wasn't particully good at it but she'd survived in the wilderness for long enough to do an adequate job.

she shook her head. a pound f that could set you up for a long time yet she did not understand why two leggeds liked that stuff. she was not going to touch the stuff so she turned and walked off. she was clueless on a place but a large tree cult her attention. she walked around tell she fund a place she could get in and lit a flame in her hand. "this work? we may need some wood though."

Synthesis agreed, although she had no idea where the day had gone. She wondered over to the pile of skin. She must at least take some of it, she thought, and picked up as much as she could. She began stuffing it into the fold of her wings, making the space as big as she could afford in order to carry as much as possible. The girl didn't care how long she had to carry it because she could just taste all the money it would make her. Having never had much before, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Vinsue would have to get half the profit, she supposed, but she still reckoned it would be more than she usually managed to get hold of. Once her wings were full, she picked up her other things and waited for Vinsue.

"Okay. Pick up some skin if you can and then we can go. I suppose you have an idea where we should rest or are we just going to search about a bit?" Synthesis certainly didn't have a clue what the other wanted to do. She was used to sleeping under the stars and wouldn't mind bedding down for the night in a hollow bush or something, "Somewhere I can hang up my wet clothes would be good, even if it is just on a tree branch."

once the old scales where gone she rolled back over and switched to her human form. She was back in her brown robe as she stood up. "Thanks for the help that would have taken me weeks. but the sun is low and we need to find someplace safe to sleep." She started to walk of than looked at the pile that had gathered. "there worth there weight in the market."

She stood thinking that that pile just came off of her and how some would kill to have it. she shook the thought and left the room.

As Vinsue rolled over, Synthesis reached to begin peeling her belly. There was quite a pile of skin beside her now and she wondered what they should do with it. They could leave it be to biodegrade but that would be a waste. Dragon skin would probably sell for a lot. It could be used in both spells and armor as far as the young druid knew, possibly more. The only problem would be carrying it.

"I am very much enjoying myself, thank you." She replied as she came close to finishing the task. She was a little saddened that there wasn't more skin to peel but she had made such quick work of it. She wondered if she could find more dragons and get them to pay her to do this. She'd love that as a job.

After a bit of the surprisingly enjoyable ripping of all the old skin she rolled over onto her back. She looked at the girl. "enjoying yourself." she said. as she closed her eyes and laid down.

So Synthesis pulled herself out of the water and opened her bag to pull out her spare change of clothes. She wrang out her hair and pulled off her sopping tunic. She used the trousers she had previously removed to dry herself as quickly as she could. Then she pulled her try tunic on and removed the remainder of her wet clothes underneath to replace them with dry ones. For good measure she pulled on her cloak and pulled her hair out so it was on top. In two minutes she was pretty much dry apart from said hair which still dripped, but that was good enough for now.

She walked over to Vinsue and began to gently tug on the strange old skin that now seemed slightly transparent. When that didn't work, she pulled harder and was immensely satisfied by the peeling sound that resulted. It didn't seem to hurt Vinsue so she kept at it, quickly coming to enjoy her new task. Slowly the off white, semi-seethrough skin gave way to new, pearly white scales.

Synthesis hadn't even noticed the sea life tangled in her hair. She pulled it out and made her way to the bank in order to deposit it next to her bag. She saw the dragon lie down.
"Are you shedding? Do you need help?" I help peel it off for you?" She asked as she sunk back to sit in the shallower water. She had to stay submerged or get get dry because otherwise she'd end up freezing.

Vinsue noticed the girl was staring and stopped. she did not like others seeing her itch. she again laded down as she thought on how to remove the old without damaging the new. her scales where a dimer color almost like a gray. but the new ones would be bright and white. 

"I see you found some of the local sea plants." she stated than looked at the plant entangled on her head. it was kind of funny.

"Oh, sorry about that," Synthesis replied sheepishly, hoping Vinsue wasn't too put out, "I'll wait for the go-ahead next time."
She carried on pushing deeper until she was treading water. At which point she turned and dived. It was a while before she could work up the courage to open her eyes, but the when she did she was rewarded with a plethary of lakelife to behold. She decieded she would have to collect some of this seaweed before they left, as some of them looke completely unique to anything she had seen before. Therefore, she wondered if they were rare or locational. Either way they might be useful, for her or for selling.
In the end, air was the thing to force her retreat to the surface. Turning to look at the dragon on the shore, she spotted that the other was itching her neck and, on closer inspection, little strips of her skin were freying away when her claws had been. Confused and unsure whether to be concerned at first, it took a while and a lot more skin to peal before she was able to figure out what was going on there. Oh, shedding! She thought, relieved. She had forgotten all about that particular reptillian proccess. She watched with intrigue.

"I was more hoping you would jump in out there." She had folded her wings and watched the girl swim about. She decided that a nap could not hurt seeing that the girl could swim. 

She suddenly sat up and scratched at her neck than frowned. it was time for her to shed her old skin.  She again laid down. she laded shedding do to it being supper itchy. the skin on her neck now frayed a bit, but the new skin was still covered and no blood showed.

"I guess I knew that." shythesis giggled in between squeaks of cold shock, "But I was impatient to get in too! It looked so nice in here."
By now the girl was in to her shoulders and in one fell swoop she plunged her head under. When she came up, she felt like an icicle but knew the worst was over with. She could swim properly now. It had been such a long time but she remembered from her youth how much she had loved to dive underwater and look around. It was a shame it stung her eyes so and she envied the second eyelid that many creatures had. She wondered if Vinsue had one.

Vinsue swam as fast as she could tell she broke thew the surface than let her wings keep her in the air for a bit. she looked at the shell to see it empty than turned to see the girl on the bank. she folded her wings and dived than swam to the girl stoping just a foot from her. all the water kept its momentum though and sprayed the girl. 

"Your soaked" She replied than walked to the dryer land than laid down. "I did not leave you for you to find on your own. I was going to come back."

Synthesis was so lost in thought that she was immensly surprised by Vinsue's puff of smoke. She turned just in time to see the dragon disappear again under the water. She looked on slightly jelously. From where she was, Synthesis could see the bank of the lake not far off at all but still enough distence away that she would have to swim or fly there. In the end she decided to fly and landed gratefully on the grassy waterside.
She proceded to deposite her things beside her and pulled off her trousers so she was only in her tunic, which came down to just above her knees, and her underwear. Then she jumped in, gasping at the cold up to her waist and waded in deeper. She knew if she pushed on she would warm up but for now she was shivering and squeaking with every new bit of the skin the water reached.
"Vinsue!" she called, her voice a little jittery but proud, "I'm in!"

"yea the wiggle is a lot easier than paddling if i kept my wings folded but you would likely get sea sick." she said than smiled at the way the girl laid down. she was so egger to learn and so easily joyed to see new tricks. Vinsue will miss her when they part ways. 

she thought of spraying her again just for fun but resisted for a wile tell she could see the other bank and stopped. she filled her mouth with smoke and puffed it at the girl before going under the water.

Synthesis squealed when the water sprayed her. It was cold, but it wasn't as icy as the rivers she had swum in in the past. She decided she would have a go in the water later, once they had got to wherever they were going. Learning about Vinsue's use of the sun was interesting, as was the revelation that cold would send her to sleep. Synthesis mused that they were opposites in this regard, as the cold often invigorated the girl, while the heat made her feel sluggish, lazy and irritable if she was forced to stand in it for too long without shade. Also, her pale skin burned easily.
When Vinsue dived, she flashed and slipped silkily through the water, a little like an eel. Synthesis clapped when the dragon came up and nodded vigorously when she said it was like a slither.
"That's so cool!" she grinned, "You look properly serpentine doing that."
They must have been half way across the water by then. As they lapsed back into silence, she layed back beside Vinsue's head to wait and watched the clouds. They were far and few between, in little white puffs that moved almost imperceptably across the blue sky.

"yea i need the sun to digest food and have energy. as of the water." she forced her wings down which sent a spray up on the girl. "i do not know it is hard for me to tell. in human form i gain some of the warm blood traits but can still use the sun to my advantage. right now i am not cold if i where i would likely slow down and sleep." she than stopped and dove. 

a few mantis past before she dropped a root from a lake plant onto the shell. "yea acutely it is just like flying." she said "but more of a slither." she again started pushing the makeshift boat.

"Oh, I see…" Synthesis nodded, interested, "And I suppose because your a repile, you're cold blooded and you need the sun's warmth a lot? I read about the different types of animals once ages ago. I can't remember much of it now, though. So how does that work? Are you warm blooded when you become a human? How do you find the heat and the cold? Are you cold now? Is this lake cold? And if you float naturally, can you dive when you want to? Sorry for so many questions."
She gave a little laugh. She sure was being nosy, but at this point she trusted Vinsue wouldn't take offense. Also, this was a brilliant opportunity for her to find out if the water was warm enough for her to swim in.

Once on the shell, Synthesis sat down and allowed her legs to dangle over the edge. They didn't quite reach the water so she didn't bother to remove her boots. Instead, she gazed into the water and tried to work out how deep it was. From what she could tell, it was getting quite deep quite quickly and she itched to try swimming in it. The weather was warm enough and it tooked so cool and enticing. The reason she didn't just jump in, though, was that predicted it would very, very cold. Rivers and lakes usually were, in her expirience. As she continued to look leisurely around, she noticed Vinsue had her wings spread as she floated them along. The sun glinted off of them attractively.
After a minute she asked, "So, does spreading your wings like that help you float?"

vinsue knew the girl could easily fit inside of the thing if she chose but being on top made her less likely to get wet. "yea it i aways across the water and im still new to the aria." once the girl was on the shell she pushed it out. once her feet did not touch the ground she slowly paddled as she let her body float and wings spread to catch the sun. 

her head rested on top of the shell for now she wandered if the girl would talk or git lost in thought for she had seen both happen.

Synthesis grinned stupidly at the lake, seeing how pretty it was. An empty turtle shell floated calmly on the water, which the dragon dragger over to the shore so that they could get on. Vinsue also suggested practicing flight and magic, which Synthesis was more than happy to try, but at the same time she felt Vinsue probably underestimatedd the amount which her biology drained her. Her skill could always be improved. Her stamina, however, was a lot more trickly to enhance.
"Yeah, let's give it all a go. But how far are we going?" she asked, "Should I use the shell for now?" Truely, the shell looked almost big enough for her to fit inside, which she had the silly impulse to try. She peered at it, sizing it up.

seeing the water she took a few steps on then dragged the turtle shell in. "Get on." she said knowing it would float. "we need to cross and unless you want to fly again this is the fastest way." she said as she let her wings spread and half laid on it. 

"talking of which practice makes perfect. as you use your wings more flight becomes easier and the less tiring it becomes." she said "and open water is a safer place to practice with flames."

"Good. Yes. I most certainly did." She said cheerfully and stood to follow the dragon in the direction of the Lake.
The new day was looking to be most pleasant, as far as the druid was concerned. She felt energised from having eaten and slept on good solid earth and she was looking forward to seeing that what the lake was like. It was said to be very beautiful with lillypad big enough for an average sized dult to sit on them to the east. Also, there here said to be herbs here that grew nowhere else. It was all very exiting really.

"good morning. I did sleep well and by the looks of it you did too." she got up and streached a bit. "I also found the lake and a huge turtle." she said. she needed sun to digest her food properly and she also wanted to see if she could help the girl fly more. "come" she stated and started walking towards the lake.

When Synthesis finally stirred, she was so relaxed that it would have been easy for her to roll over and go back to sleep. Luckily, in the corner of her mind her she remembered that she wasn't travelling alone anymore and Vinsue was probably awake by now. She cracked open her eyes to have her suspicions confirmed. The dragon lay as she had before, but this time her golden eyes were fixed on the druid. Synthesis smiled awkwardly and wondered how long the dragon had been watching her for. She hoped she didn't drool in her sleep.
She took her time waking up properly, pushing herself up to lean against the tree and waiting for her brain to power up to normal speed. A couple of feet away, the leftovers of her green meal were now going slightly brown. She decided not to offer it to the dragon.
"Good morning," she half yawned, "Did you sleep well?"

vinsue eventually awoke and looked around the sun was new in the sky and she was out to catch its beautiful rays and gain some energy from it. the girl however was still asleep. she did not want to awake her so she left in search of something to eat. soon a giant turtle resting on the bank of the lake. she was quick to catch it and eat the inside with no trouble she left the shell where the turtle laid and walked back through the woods to where she left the girl sleeping. it was actually a cleaner kill and no blood showed on her face as she licked her teeth clean. she than layed back in her spot and watched the girl.

Upon seeing Vinsue weave her way into the forest, Synthesis reluctantly pushed herself to her feat and followed. She soon found the dragon curled in a ball on a cushon of fallen leaves, to which she smiled and resolved to join her once she had found something to munch on. She didn't have to look for long. Within a couple of minutes, she had summoned upon her magic to grow some mosses and a grass until they were doubled in size. She then harvested most of it and made her way back to the dragon. She sat and ate resting against a tree, pulling a face at just how bitter, strawlike and tasteless her meal was. Still, it filled her up and she was able to leave a decent amount for Vinsue when she woke up, not that she expected the dragon to eat such terrible food.
Wasting no time, the girl then lay on her side and fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

"I would swich back but im a bit too tired and worn for that im afraid. maybe after a meal and some rest i would be able to again but for now im keeping my wings." She said then started to walk through the trees. it felt like fall as the trees had yellow and orange coloring and the flowers look like those that bloomed only in fall. the girl also seemed ready to sleep or at least eat something.She walked slowly through the trees looking for some type of food. it had been a while since she had last eaten. She eventually stopped yawned and curled into a ball. Soon to sleep. She did not have the energy to make it to the lake and had not eaten enough that day to keep up with the energy she had used. she would be thankful for food but in this form she would likely not eat much of anything not meat related.

The sand beneath Synthesis was heavenly to lie back on as she waited for her heartrate to slow back to normal. Airel acrobatics weren't nearly as fun as other people seemed to find them but she was determined that one day, even if it took fifty years, she would  be able to appreciate them too. Right now she was feeling a little too lazy, however, and discouragingly tired considering she had slept quite well only a little over half an our or so ago. That's what happens when you fly, she thought to herself.
Perhaps eating something might help to pick up her energy levels. She sat up again to look inland. There was a large forest not too far away, with its leaves the golden and red hues typical of autumn. This served to confirm her suspicians about where they were in Parvpora. She was fairly sure they were in late springtime at the moment, so only the forest surrounding and connected to the Lake of Jasumin would be readily shedding their leaves in such a wonderous display of colour. In such a forest, she was quite sure she could find something edible to enlarge and consume, for Vinsue as well if she wanted.
The druid expected Vinsue might like to hunt her own food, however, seeing as she was a draon. It all depended on what she fancied, really and if she was going to revert back into her human form. That said, she might have to if she wanted to fit in between the trees of the forest. It was hard to judge their density from such a distence, but she suspected it would be difficult to find a dragon friendly pathway.
