Vinsue stopped in her tracks as she heard a high pitched squeal. She could smell blood and knew the small maker of the sound was dead. she turned her large body and walked to the edge of the tree patch, stopped, and watched. She had came for a hunt but no large game was in the aria yet she was not too hungry as the sun had gave her strength. She was a bit curious and decided to have some fun with the human. She let out a high pitch call. than a low growl. she stayed behind the tree as she watched to see what he did.

Leto of Nowhere carefully drew the bowstring back, his hand crooking back toward his cheek as he squinted his right eye shut, the dark skin wrinkling slightly as he set the hare in the sights of the simple bow. His nostrils flared once, watchihg the soft brown ears swivel just above the high grass- seeing the skinny creature lift itself onto its hind legs, silken nose wriggling.

He let loose the arrow, and the high pitched squeal caused a small smile to curl his lips. Leto moved to his feet stealthily, jogging to where the kill had been made- kneeling beside the small corpse, he carefully yanked the arrow from its eye and set to work skinning the small beast. His right eye remaining closed the whole while - though no one was around to mock him of it, he still kept his blood-eye closed. It was the mark of a malovelent God, after all- and could bring bad luck to his hunt.

finishing skinning, gutting and butchering the creature, Leto packed the meat away as he stood and looked about the empty plains, the hood being whipped off his head by a blast of wind. He winced but inhaled deeply, tasting the air- how lonely and wonderful this palce was. His haven….
