The bones of a long past battle littered the field. Xallithelid hated the crunching noise of the bones and the obnoxious gleam of the obsidian armor. A piece of cloth floated by, from a broken skeleton a few meters away, and then the ground started to shake. He knew, deep in his gut, what was happening. His fears were confirmed when a massive sand worm crashed through a ruined building, then back into the ground. It jumped again out of the ground, this time dashing towards Xallithelid. He calculated the next jump, this time right infront of him, and flinged a fireball into the creature's maw.

The worm, although dead, had still enough momentum to drive itself into the illithid, doing little actual damage but pinning him to the ground, barely able to move under the burning mass.

I sincerely hope, for your sake, that you are an idiot.

The sand worms of the Harena were deadly creatures. It was hardly paradise out in the Wastelands but this was home. Past the red soaked sands was Arri the country of her people. They hadn't left her and she wasn't about to leave them. She would watch the sands of time and be their guardian.

Her long red locked were pinned up onto her head. It was always hot in the desert thanks to the curse but most had gotten use to it by now. Still her feet did not burn as she walked barefoot across the sands. Her green eyes were searching for something as she heard the crash of the worm.

There was warmth though and it wasn't from the recently deceased creature. Moving she let Trandafir, in staff form, hold her up as she pulled up a white scarf to keep the sands from her face. She reached the top of a sand dune and noticed what could have only been described as an Illithid. In her time as goddess she had dealt with little of their race. She road the dune down as she slid with her two feet.

"You look a bit stuck there Young One." She smiled at him as she smacked the worm with her obsidian staff. The sands around the Illithid hummed and quaked as the worm was dragged underground. She offered him her hand. "You should be careful out here. The sands no matter how pure they are, are tainted with blood."

He struggled under the weight of the accursed thing, although illithids were strong, the smouldering mass of chitin and flesh atop him was too much to lift. He heard a caw as his falcon saw the figure approach, but Xallithelid did not. He thought that some scavenger was shuffling towards him as the noise of footsteps got closer, and he mentally searched for some sort of being approaching him. he found it, and then a rough tug and shifting sands interrupted his concentration, and the corpse slid off of him. He was greeted by a woman wearing a smile on her face. There was an aura around her though, one of supreme and divine quality.

Xallithelid knew this wasn't food. Unfortunate, because he was starving out here in the sands. The woman said something that he didnt quite hear and held out her hand. he grabbed it, but instead of getting up, he tested her will, bombarding her with psionic spells and forcing his will upon her, attempting to dominate her, and casting the spell of strength upon himself to make sure she wasn't going anywhere.

I sincerely hope, for your sake, that you are an idiot.
