The frigid isle of Itjivut has become an unlikely location for the foreign invasion’s southern incursion. The hardy Hiafae are now faced with enemies just as resourceful and fierce as themselves. Although the residents of Itjivut have the advantage of their climate and home terrain, it will be a hard fight to keep both their land and way of life. Should they fail, the repercussions will be dire for not just Itjivut–but the duchy of Egjora and kingdom of Adeluna not too far up north.

The progress of the invading forces here have been slower than other locations due to the scarcity of resources and harsh climate. Hiafae mages have called forth powerful spells in their defense, conjuring golems of ice and biting winds to devastate their enemies. Some have even taken upon themselves to use arts requiring blood sacrifice in these desperate times. At the behest of the sorcerers terrible blizzards now ravage the tundra, while wild animals in Jarnviour have become more aggressive. Hiadref is prepared for a siege; they will protect Glemyt Bay from being taken–or die trying. Rumors of giants appearing in the tundra have begun circulating in Hiadref from reports of scouts in Rafandas following the appearance of the invading foreigners. All defending forces are concentrated in the port city with Hiafae fleets patrolling the waters. Those who venture out of the city are on their own.
