She smiled when Johhannes petted her head and briefly looked up and smiled at him before laying down again. The spider came towards them and waved some sort of blanket around both of them, and then laid next to them to keep them warmer. The silk was not sticky, in fact it had a texture closer to whool, most likely because the spider had several types available. It had no ill will to Johannes but was mostly concerned about the elf. She wasnt fully asleep and just laid against his chest for a while. "… Am i the first princess you ever saved?"

As he heard her story he felt guilty, where he's from most things are build by slaves. But at the same moment he didn't felt sorry, he heard worse stories and due to his cold character he probably just didn't care about ones past. He thought about replying to what she told him but that probably wouldn't have helped. Therefore he watched her  warming up at the fire. It reminded him, they are out of wood and it's impossible to survive outside the cave even for a short period of time. Especially because they both are tired. The next thing to happen catched him by surprise, this woman he just met a few hours ago walked towards him sat down and rested against his chest. He was fairly confused but rtied his best to not move, he actually lacked the energy to do anything at all. So instead he just started petting her head a bit. He noticed that the giant spider has moved closer for some reason, clearly in an alerted status towards him. Therefore he stopped the petting and just laid his head against the cold cave wall and soon fell asleep as well.

She gave a weak smile as she tried to look at him for a minute. "Where im from. Or used to come from before we seeked help from another continent elves were a slave species for a few years. Torturing, killing, raping all of those things were allowed as long as it was directed towards one of us. I know what it's like to have no rights and what it is to try and survive in a world that resents you… If it werent for the humans of dracholm it's possible i would be a slave today… I have suffered through much worse than this for much longer." She sat back close to the fire and warmed her hands for a few minutes until she felt tired enough, and when she did she wandered over to Johannes, rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes. It didnt take terribly long for her to fall asleep.

"I see.." He wasn't sure how much pain she must have felt but it had to feel like hell. As he tried to heal her back as good as possible he felt sorry. If he wouldn't had left this whole thing never happened. "You are lucky…a few more hits and they would have damaged your spine…" He sure had seen worse wounds than this but its less the sight of ripped flesh and exposed bones then the actual smell of blood, raw flesh and other things that happen to come out such wounds. "My healing magic is limited to cell regeneration, i can do nothing against the pain." As he finally finished his work Sylvias new grown skin turned slightly pink. "You should give your back a break, if you touch it or lie down on it it might rips open. We should sleep…save our energy, this storm is surely lasting a few days." He stood up and went to a fairly dark corner of the cave.

She blushed as she felt her shirt being moved up. The wounds on her back looked utterly horrifying though, they were deep and blood was all over her back, painting the leather of her light body armor red. She winced as he began healing but eventually relaxed back to let Johannes take proper care of her wounds. With her shirt over her back it became more obvious that she had an extremely thin waist, even for someone of her stature and the wounds were worse than he would originally assume as pieces of her spine were visible. Soon though the healing spell closed her wound and she took a deep breath to calm down from what had recently happened to her. It's not like it wasnt her first time getting tortured though. On her neck there was a burnmark that said '35g bartering allowed. Return before 6th moon of rhana for sacrificial event." Other than that alot of her body was riddled with scars also originating from a whip and several other tools. It was terrifying to watch actually but Sylvia held her cloak over what seemed to be the worst ones. "I am here to speak to my husband. He died so i may escape my homelands, now i wish to speak to him for one last time. Because…. I am alone…"

As he opens his eyes he stared right into Sylvias eyes. It was strange but he couldn't watch away. After what seemed to him like eternity she spoke to him. He didn't realize what she said because she kissed his cheek just moments before which made his mind go numb for a short moment. Then he realized how weird this situation must be and quickly turned his head away. "Johannes….the name's Johannes…and it seems like i owe you my life too. So i guess were even now." As he spoke those words he troed to stand up which for some reason just wouldn't work. He still felt quite some oain in his lower back but that's nothing that would stop him from getting up. His head hurt and he didn't know why, he can't remember beeing hit there. Then he remembered about her wounds. His arms are still covered in her blood from when he carried her. "What's with your wounds? Do you need help? I guess you couldn't reach all of them." He spoke rather fast, he didn't knew why but he just wasn't able to talk slower. He took some deep breaths. "I only posses small healing spells but i guess thats better then nothing." As he slowly approached towards her she didn't seemed scared of him at all. A rather rare situation after some witnessed him slaughtering dozends of armed creatures. But she didn't seemed to mind as he kneeled down behind her and started holding his hands near her wounds as a pale green light started glowing around her wounds. She had taken some disgusting wounds, her skin ripped apart and deep cuts into her flesh. He tried to distract her. "So why have you come here? What is it that you want from the dead? If you don't mind me asking."

She held onto Johannes as he carried Sylvia outside the village. The animals followed them closely and took out any creatures ambushing them and soon they were in the cave, soon though Johannes slowed down and Sylvia was thrown in the snow. When Johannes passed out the last thing he would see is Sylvia staring at him in the bloody rags that she wore of wich the back was cut open by the whip. It was quite possible that the deep green eyes would be the last thing for both of them. However, not terribly much later Johannes would wake up at the sight of Sylvia hanging over him, tending to whatever wounds he had. This time though she wasnt wearing the skimpy bloody rags but her tight leather ranger outfit and the facial paint that she usually wore. Her deep green eyes were a nice thing to wake up to and also the fact that she was tending over him like Sylvia usually did.

However… They were in the cave like last time, however the path that led to the village was shut by thick silky webs that the spider made to deliberately block of the creatures from entering the cave. It wasnt clear how thick the web wall was but it was obviously a few meters. It was also riddled with the corpses of these creatures effectively creating a barrier that was impossible to get through from their side. On the other side he could see that the snowstorm was raging at it's fullest so they would be stuck here. The next thing he knew where Sylvia's lips on his cheek. "that's for saving my life, stranger…"

He didn't know how but the spider cut the chain and dropped Sylvia right into his arms. As the spider then attacked the creatures between them and the exit he knew what to do. He gave the spider a moment to kill the first creature and the started running towards the exit. As soon as he did that the spider went full tackling mode, stopped killing the creatures and instead using it's fairly massive body to ramm everything that stood between it and the exit. It worked, as soon as it reached the exit it climbed up the wall letting Johannes just enough time to pass before it jumped down again impaling several enemys with it legs. He hadn't much if a choice now, either stay in the cave or try making it to a village nearby before the storm arrives. The choice was clear, he had to reach that village but he wasn't sure if she'd survive it. As he carried her he knew exactly how painful it must be for her, he is touching her whipping wounds, after all he didn't had much time to do anything against it. He decided to throw her into the snow outside, hoping the cold would stop her pain a bit. He didn't knew if it worked but he hadn't tome checking that. He continued running as fast as possible until he finally saw lights in the distance as he fell to his knees. Suddenly he couldn't breathe properly. First he didn't realize what's going on but then he felt it. A terrible pain in the back. At some point he must have been hit by a spear that drove right into his lower back. "C..Come on…you…survived….worse…"
His vision went cloudy as his arms lowered letting Sylvia slide into the snow in front of him. He just felt his body oressed against her's and his head falling into the snow.

Sylvia was in too much pain and was in the verge of dying to really respond. She was moments from dying but it seemed that the spider beast had heard Johannes' pleads on it's own and climbed around a wall to the ceiling. Once on the ceiling it used it's pincers to break the chain move her a little closer to Johannes and drop her when her trajectory would have her end up in his arms. It then jumped down behind Johannes wich was the only way to get back to the cave and stood between him and the creatures that were charging at him now. The bird bild him behind the spider wich quickly charged through the creatures, creating a way for Johannes to pass through.

As he finally finished the last creature he approached towards Sylvia. As he comes closer he noticed her hanging right above some kind of pit. He has to get her down there somehow and he needs to hurry up. The spider and the bird played a good distraction for most of those creatures but they get cornered more and more. As he finally reached her he noticed something. Every time her leg moves the spider kills one of these things. "Hey, hey Sylvia can you hear me. Wake up girl theres no time to be unconscious right now. If you can hear me send that spider ofer here to get you down there, i'll cover us."

While Sylvia hung there seemingly dead while the animals ravaged the village, orcs could not handle a bow so the bird was relatively safe and the spider who had an array of weapons including clows, spitting acid, venom fangs, the strength and webs it can leave behind was a leaugue above the orcs in terms of strength. They provided an excellent distraction for Johannes to simply wander to Sylvia and remove her chains. But there was one catch, the location at wich they hung her was tricky to reach as it was above one of these pits that werent desirable to fall into.

When he entered the old city like structure he smiled. "Hah, just like back home." As he let his view flow over the area he noticed the spider like creature and the bird from earlier fighting these strange creatures. They seemed humanoid but with disgusting long limbs. As he looked further around he smiled at all the rotten dead bodies. "In the end all worlds are the same huh?" Then he saw her, hanging on a chain with blood dripping down her body. "Oh nonono thats not how you should treat a guest." he whispered angry. He walked towards her, ignoring any distraction until he started to get surrounded by lots of these creatured. He kneeled down putting his left hand onto the ground. "31….that's the best you can do? How dissapointing..". His sword gets surrounded by darkness as he casts another darkness sword into his left hand. "Lets do this you freaks." Some of the creatures charged right at him as he started cutting them down while spinning himself and his swords around like a crazy person.

The cave was deep and the creatures were fast. Faster than the aproxamitly hippo sized spider and the bird that were already a while ahead of Johannes due to their natural speed. About an hour later Johannes would come across the beasts again and this time get a better look at them. Now it turned out the spider was fairly close to a scorpion with it having two crab like claws (much like a certain cave spider species) instead of mandibles. It got warmer as the cave went deeper, eventually leading to some sort of wooden village, but not the cozy warm ones…

The village looked like it come out of a twisted nightmare as there were bodies hanging from the ceiling of the cave that held the rotten bodies of elves of the same species as Sylvia. Their backs were all open, showing excessive whipping wounds and moreover, none of them were alive anymore save for one. Sylvia was hanging from one of the many chains that decorated the town with dead, rotting elven bodies. There was a red hellish glow originating from below and the entire village was filled with these horrifying long limbed creatures and equally ugly orcs. Sylvia was hanging close to a ledge and had her back whipped opn as evident by one of them walking away with a whip. She hung there almost lifeless but twitched her leg every once in a while wich prompted the animals to attack. The bird mainly distracted the creatures wich gave the spider plenty of time to ravage the village with it's sheer weight and array of attacks.

As he entered the cave with his sword drawn he saw 2 legs dissapearing in the dark at the deeper end of the cave. As soon as he started running towards this spot a giant spider and a bird went into the cave, completely ignoring him. They went after the girl. "Well…that's……weird…" He hadn't much time to think about it and therefore followed them as quickly as possible. It was dark but since he lived in pure darkness longer than anybody would ever be able to endure he hadn't much problems with finding the right path to go. Not because he saw what's around him but because he heard, smelled and felt everything important. His only trusty track are the birds flapping wings. Not only could one hear the echo of those but if a little bit careful you could feel the wind that those wings are pressing through the cave. His only problem at the moment is his lack of most warm clothing he had. Armed with his sword he managed his way to a little crack in a wall in which light pures through.

When Johannes came back to the cave he'd find that Sylvia was just getting dragged deeper into the cave by horrifying creatures with small bodies bald heads and claw like arms characters. They were gone with the elf before they could be slain though, and shortly after that a massive spider and a bird flew into the cave, giving chase to the creatures.

"My name is not of importance right now miss sylvia." He spoke those words as he walked outside into the snow. You could already see the storm at the horizon. "I need to hurry, we'll be trapped in this cave for a while…" He got right to work. About half an hour passed as he finally finished another tree. He grabbed as much wood as possible and went back to the cave. As he got near the entrance he heard disturbing noises from inside. He left the wood where he stood and draw his sword as he approaches towards the cave as silent as possible.

She noticed the man possesed a certain… Spirit or motive that incited some fear in the elf, it wasnt too hard to sense a rage or hate in a man for her, and it shouldnt be for anyone really if they were just more open minded to others, even with the armor the man wore Sylvia could sense there was something to him, she could see it in the way he moved and the way he spoke. She scuttled closer to the fire before hearing the man speak to her. "… Sylvia, my name is Sylvia Roothearth. And you…?"

"So you've heard those rumors too?" he tried to keep his voice calm and friendly but it seemed like it just wouldn't work. "I hope they told the truth, otherwise they'll going to have a problem with me if i get back there!" He took a close look at the woman he just saved. Her eyes look tired and her lips are still colored in a deep blue. "I'm gonna go outside to get some more wood, you might want to get closer to the fire. Otherwise you may lose your fingers and toes." He grabbed his sword and took a deep breath, a he exhales you could see a thin smoke like substance in deep black coming out of his mouth. As he realized it he quickly walked out of the cave. As he left he said "A snowstorm is coming and we can't get to the next village in time, so save your energy lady….?"

She curled up and looked at Johannes as he walked past her. She was mostly scared because she had no idea and couldnt even be sure if this was the man who saved her hide from the snow, she took the piece of bread to sate her hunger. She waited for the man to come back before speaking to him. She had a soft, kind if scared tone to her voice when she spoke… "….Th…..uh… Thank you for helping me… I would probaply have died if i was left out there for a little longer so… Thank you. I owe you my life." She sat on her knees and placed her arms between her legs on the ground. She also looked at him with big eyes, observing his movements. Despite kindly speaking to him she still wasnt sure of his intentions and worried of what was going to happen next. "It wasnt a good idea of mine to begin climbing this mountain based on rumors i suppose…"

It was quite a trip back, especially hard if you happen to carry someone. It took him about half an hour maybe more to get back to the cave he noticed earlier. Once arrived he was exhausted. He had few energy left in him but he had to start a fire, otherwise they both probably die. He didn't had much with him to possibly start a fire, therefore he had to go back outside, chopping a wood in front of the cave. This went rather fast, it took him 4 powerless exhausted strikes with his greatsword to chop a small tree. He then started chopping it into smaller pieces and carried them back. He used the rest of his energy throwing a fireball at the wet, cold wood. Thankfully it worked. He tried to sleep but he just couldn't. Time pasts untill finally the woman he found started moving. Well at least she's alive. When she started shouting at him he simply stood up and went outside. Leaving a piece of bread and some water behind he warmed up at the fire. He left his sword behind.

Johannes came in at the right time, she was only minutes from dying. The cloth that got wrapped around her did sustain the cold damage to her fortunatly and for now she was saved. 90 maybe 120 minutes later she slowly began moving again. Wrapped in the cloak and nearby a fire she twitched her pointy ears and slowly pressed herself up until her chest was aproxamitely one third of a meter of the ground. She looked around through half closed sleepy eyes. She rubbed her eyes and sat on her knees and held her hands over the fire. After putting the cloak over her shoulders again she finally noticed she wasnt alone and almost panicked. "AH! Who are you?!"

"By the gods am i just stupid or completely insane. How could i ever thought it would be a good idea to climb a snowy mountain just to talk to the death. Oh if those villagers lied to me i'm gonna slaughter them!" This one could hear from afar, for the man literally yelling that out. He wore combat leather armor paired with basic clothing beneath. To shelter his head he only had the hood of his cloak. It barely was enough to keep snow out but didn't helped against the cold at all. In his thoughts he prayed to each and every singel god he knew that when finally arriving at the top he could actually speak to a dead person from his world. Otherwise he would probably be quite mad and dissapointed. Not that he has any hope in such things at all. He learned that if you always count with the worst to happen you most of the time come out quite happy that it only went really really bad. He somehow managed to climb a little hill on his way when he couldn't believe his eyes. A village. Up here? "Well, that's quite….nice." He started walking fast towards the village but shortly before he could have heard anyone talk the whole village just disappeared. He stood there for a while in silence, slowly letting his view drift over the area. He kneeled down and put a hand inside the snow, while darkness assembled around his arm swarming under the snow. "………………….As i thought, there it is. Would have been quite a disappointment if i really would start seeing fatima morganas. Might as well take it down since im alrea….oh?" He stood up walking towards where the village center would habe been. He draws his sword and using it as a digging tool. After a few seconds he already found what he was looking for. A small wooden box. Clearly cursed to create a fatima morgana. But if it was set here with reason or just lost, he doesn't care. He raised his sword and destroyed the little box. "Well then, time to continue my march." He put his sword away turning to the mountain again when he just saw something weird in the snow. "Oh? Maybe a snimal frozen to death?" He walked towards the strange looking object. But the closer he came the faster he walked until he tried to run which due to the high snow seemed rather weird than in some kind athletic. As he arrived he panicked a bit. There was literally a bunch of hair looking out of the snow. He started digging, but with only his hands it took him quite a few more minutes than it would have with his sword but he didn't wanted to cut whoever was down there. A woman, he digged out mist of her upper body so he could grab her under the arms and pull her out. "Not good, thats not good!" Her lips went blue and her skin was cold as ice. He put his ear close to her nose and mouth. A few seconds nothing happend but then he felt her breath. "My god, quite strong aren't we?" Of course she couldn't answer him, according to the snow that covered her she must have past out at least an hour ago. "Come on, you survived worse things then bad environment." That where his words when he started undressing his upper body. He took the shirt he was wearing and put it over the leather armor she was wearing. "Might helps a bit." He then took his cloak, due to his liking of long cloaks and his body heigh he could easily wrap her in it. He then put back on his armor, threw the woman over his shoulder and went back the way he came. "Where was that damn cave?"

As a rabger, Sylvia felt it was her duty to look after animals, regardless if she owned them or not. Upon arriving on the cold islands she immdiatly hired a stable for her pets and wandered off into the cold, horribly illequiped for the temperature. Only 15 minutes later she was already rubbing her arms and wrapping her cloak around herself to warm up, to no avail but she knew there would be a small village nearby where she could warm up before heading up the mountain to perhaps get a new bird, some more ingredients for her alchemy and most importantly, reach the top where she heard one could speak to the death. With mainly the hopes of speaking to both of her dead husbands her dead husband she pushed on through the cold. There was just a small problem though and that was what she wore: Tight sitting leather armor, a cloak, equally tight fabric trousers with pouches hanging on them and a hood over her face but she wrapped it around her neck like a scarf and she rather used her golden hairs to keep her ears warm or at least covered.

She calculated the length of her journey poorly though as she would quickly find that the energy was draining from her legs and that her vision was fading. In the distance though, far on the horizon she could see the cozy lighting of a warm villain. She desperately stepped up her speed and arrived in the village only to find it was a fatima morgana but instead of an oasis in the desert it was warmth in the tundra. She quickly looked around and saw no way out for herself as she fell to her knees. It didnt take long for her to collapse and pass out though with only her golden hairs sticking out of the snow, serving as a beacon of distress and a signal of her presence.
