Innocence be damned.

There was no such luxury in her any longer than could suggest that she was innocent in this world. Perhaps in another world, another life she had been. She was freed from the evils of this world and spared the heartache that found her in time. Aye, her life had been cursed like the prophets had spoken off before her birth, but even they couldn’t see how far she would fall.

It was with that in mind that the large dark colored wolf trekked through the snowylands, her paws giving way beneath the snow and ice and let she was nimble and graceful enough to not let it affect her pacing. Death had taken hold of her and with that it had allowed her to see the world for what it really was. That made the lupine even more angry as she thought about that disgusting vampire ruining her life. She then thought about the lamia that had showed her certain things and that had made her wonder sometimes even at the dead of night. Confusion would be her first reaction, and then curiosity. Followed by jealousy and frustration and then confusion all over again. She then thought about the last of her kin, worried for them and wanting to hold onto the ones that remained. Her brothers had lives of their own, families of their own and her sister had loved and lost and lost her own life. Meanwhile Paige couldn’t help but to feel herself stuck in an endless loop of regret and anger. Why was it so hard for her to find happiness? Had the last bits of it been shredded by the misfortunes she had endured?

One thing was for certain, she was stronger than before because of this, it showed in the scars she carried physically and mentally. It showed especially on her front claws and maw as they were stained with blood. She had been no longer satisfied with defending back at the city, now she was by her lonesome in the frontlines, if being in the middle of nowhere could be called such. She didn’t care really, there was darkness in her eyes as she searched for more of the goblins, more of the orcs or that blasted flying lizard himself that had caused for these pillages to be caused. She wanted to lose herself in the killing, give herself to the bloodthirst. Perhaps that was the vampire side of her that was causing her to lose rationality and welcome chaos with open arms.

She could hear horns in the distance up ahead, no doubt the opposition collecting itself together to launch another assault against the elves. Paige would see to it that not as many would find their end by arrows, but rather by her own sick amusement as she prowled and closed the distance. When there, she crouched down low as to not be seen by the whole army, or least more of them. They were gathered like lambs and she, the big bad wolf, had to figure a way. Even if she were caught, she didn’t care really about it and simply meant even more of them would perish to the lupine. If she could smile, her lips would have curled up as she drew nearer to the goblins without being easily spotted.

It's been provin damn difficult to keep up with current events what with living alone in the Northlands and all. However I've been tryin real hard since I missed the last invasion of orcs. Heard that one had the undead and that's just a damn shame I haven't gotten to fight people I've already killed in years. Oh well it's a good thing trespassers get so talkative when you've got an axe to their throat. I just wish they'd shut up before I start askin em questions. I just wish this place wasn't so far away from my lands. I can just feel it now them trespassers is walkin all over.

Just the thought of it makes my blood boil, I'll deal with em later though. Right now I've gotta get back to what I'm doin, tryin to find that ice dragon! The stupid things nowhere to be found, you'd think a giant Ice Dragon would be hankerin to fight but no he's just sendin all his orc and goblin lackeys to do the fightin. What a damn coward makin me find him in this frozen wasteland. Hell this place is colder than the Northlands durin the winter. Speakin of the cold I outta find a place to get away from it for a minute. So I start lookin around for a good place to stop and whaddya know I found a camp of goblins.

These goblins ain't too bright. Here I am runnin into their camp screamin with my axe out and they still don't have the sense to figure out I'm gonna kill em til I've chopped one of em in two. Even after I can't say their fightins too impressive. I take a few cuts and stabs here and their but mostly I'm just hackin away at em. Pretty soon the few left alive are runnin off screamin their heads off. Now I've got this camp all to myself. I rummage around fer somethin to eat and found a dead rabbit and throw it into the fire. It'll be nice and cooked soon.

She wasn’t sure that this is what Blaine had meant by ‘find a new hobby’.  She wasn’t even sure if this would be a get out of jail free card. The lycan was protective of his slightly psycho mate. Toya had a tendency not to understand when she was taking things way too far. Her recent activities included being a grand champion in Torn’s arena, it kept her out of trouble. However, when she woke up after one of her victories she found herself tied up to the bed with a quite displeased Blaine at the foot of the bed.

She was more disobedient than a child being told no. Saddling her dragon she heard about the unrest that was in the ice lands. Her blood ran hot naturally and there were plenty of nights that Blaine had thrown all of the blankets off the bed just to deal with how hot her body tended to be. It was the flame elemental in her that stirred, go figure the crazy one had the destructive powers of fire. Climbing up onto the golden dragon they were soon off.

Through the thick of blizzards and giant clumps of snow she found herself wanting to be back in the desert, she wasn’t cold but she wasn’t happy here. Her eye was visibly twitched as she landed the dragon. If it was one thing that she had a gifted talent in it was using her nose. The scent that met her nose as she hopped down on the ground was one she knew rather well. At least… part way.

“Take to the skies Karith and wait for me. I think I got this handled.” She adjusted her weapons a bit as she moved into the snow. Her small slender body looked quite funny jumping from large dragon footprint to footprint as she made her way quickly to where the smell was coming from. “Paige?” It was the only one that she hadn’t found since they arrived. “Been a while Sister.” She didn’t know what many of Blaine’s family members thought of her but still they were family none the less. “Mind if I join you on the hunt?”

The wolf let out a soft howl into the air, to release some aggression and also to give a sort of warning to the enemy. Of course, she was sure that they wouldn’t think of anything of it other than a wolf passing by. It was to Paige’s advantage as she located fresh tracks in the snow up ahead. The footprints didn’t belong to human nor elf since they were much smaller so she was sure it belonged to some goblins. From the direction they were heading, they were heading away from the skirmish and she trotted along, backtracking to where they were heading. After some time, Paige spotted what she assumed to be a camp. Perfect. The lupine slowly prowled towards it, careful not to make too much noise as she plotted what she would do to them. Needless to say, it wasn’t going to clean and swift. No, there would be blood and carnage.

Soft growls rumbled from her throat as she drew ever so closer until a voice reached her ears, which perked up at the call of her name. Halting in her step, she was quick to turn her head and see the woman. Toya? What was she doing here?

Paige blinked at her for a while, not too sure what her sister in law was doing and imagined that Blaine would lose his mind if he was to know that she was out in the middle of snowy nowhere. They hadn’t really interacted much, but she knew of Toya as much as she knew of her. Blue eyes studied her and her attire; it was becoming obvious that she had been here for the same reason she was. Had she felt like shifting, then she would have turned back into her form where she could actually speak with her, but Paige turned around and started to follow the tracks again. She got a few feet in before she turned around and gestured to Toya to follow her. She was a grown woman and couldn’t tell her not to get involved if that was her will. The wolf went back to what she was doing and entered the camp with her senses on alert. Whatever goblins that were found were already dead and yet there was something that smelled familiar to her from before when she was slaughtering goblins and orcs. Bearing out her teeth, she growled menacingly at the stranger that was there. Her fur standing up as she made her intentions clear. Something wasn’t right, but she surely didn’t trust his presence here completely and one wrong move would mean that she would go after him if necessary.

After I bit I go an get my dinner from the fire. It's covered in black that's how ya know its cooked right. Soon after I get to chowin down though I hear some growlin comin from the edge of the camp. It was a wolf. Damn thing probably smelt blood and came lookin fer dinner. Either way I ain't sharin with no animal! If it wants to eat some goblins it should go kill it's own! I can't use my big axe cause I've still got this rabbit in my hand. Luckily I've got my smaller axe with me always gotta be prepared. I take a good long look at this here wolf that seems to be challengin me. Things got blood on its paws and is bearin its teeth at me.

I take another bite of my dinner and start hollerin at it hopin to scare it off "GO ON GET OUTTA HERE YA NO GOOD WOLF THESE HERE ARE MY KILLS GO GET YER OWN! UNLESS YER FIXIN TO ME MY SECOND COURSE!" After that I keep lookin at the wolf makin right sure it doesn't jump me. Though that don't stop me from finishin my dinner. Once I finish scarfin down that rabbit I grab my bottle of mushroom juice this outta knock the chills right outta me. I pull the cork off the bottle with my teeth and the air is filled with the smell of rottin food and spoiled eggs. I take a big swig and put the bottle back down. Now I'm ready real ready.
