Jack was wandering the streets of an odd city jack had ventured to. He was looking for something, anything, to interest him. He continued walking, dragging his belongings with him. His weapons were either holstered or hidden on him somewhere. He felt a powerful energy nearby. He tripped a little bit, but he regained his composure, searching for the source. He was drawn to a woman, and he decided this would be his interest.
he followed her, keeping a safe distance. He had a natural skill with stealth from being a swamp elf, and training with his mother. She didn't seem to notice him, that was good for him. She stopped at a rather large mansion. He followed her inside, seeing dead people around. They were at least a few days old, so either she didn't do it, or she killed them and left them here. There were a mother and children, and from the looks of it, they were torn apart. Most likely for necromancy. He heard her mutter something about they'd be good puppets. So she was a necromancer, too. It was looking better for her commiting the murder. He took out a sigil needle and drew a few of protective runes on himself.
"I understand needing parts, but why'd you go for such a sloppy kill?" He asked her, not scared, as his mother also practiced necromancy

In the dead of night, a lone woman strolled through the streets of the blueblooded merchants. The districts here were meant to separate them from the riffraff and the lesser members of Egjora’s society. Such a thought made her scoff lowly to herself, as if power and money were one and the same. They knew not what it meant to have real power at their fingertips, but they were great at manipulating others into believing that they wielded it. No power in this realm was as mighty as knowledge was; it was able to cut through the strongest steel and could part a fool from his money with ease. But her concern with tonight was to find some able bodies she could take for a little experiment. While she could have her fill in the lower districts, Sonja preferred that of healthy and strong individuals. With that in mind, her intention was to see out the academy and take out a few good men to bring back as her slaves. The plan suddenly changed once her eyes fell upon one of the manors with its gate open close by. Peeking about, she could see that the the doors were open as well. Curiosity grew in her and couldn’t help but to slide herself into the property. There were very few people out at this hour, so she didn’t fear getting apprehended by a couple of city guards. Venturing inside, she noticed that the place was a mess and the stench of death and decay was everywhere. “Apparently someone had been here before I could”, she said softly with a pout on her face. It didn’t take too long for her to wander about on the first floor to find some of the dead inhabitants. Some resembled staff members, and a couple more of the corpses appeared to be that of the man of the house, along with some guests. Upstairs was no better as she spotted who she believed to be the mother along with a few children. All of them had appeared to have portions of them missing, as if they were feast upon. It was quite strange for someone that was merely robbing the household, and all it meant to her was that they were unusable to her. A small frown fell onto her lips as she made her way past the bodies and started to check the rooms. If anything, perhaps she would find something that the intruders had missed. If she could, then at least this trip wouldn’t have to be in vain after all. “Such a pity”, she said with an annoyed sigh. “They would have made for fine puppets. Oh well…”
