The old, run down tavern sat on the outskirts of any greater populated area, it used to be a halfway stop for those travelling between cities. Now, it sat almost derelict away from any community. It was still used, sure, but gone were the days of legal activities and owners, now, it was a haven for the criminals of the area. It was still ran as a tavern, but it was an easy place to get a knife in the back for the slightest thing, like making eye contact. It was a fairly large building to, having had additions added to it over the years, one main level, two upper levels and a basement.
For those that frequented this place the upstairs rooms were ‘safe’ places to rest for the night. But continuing this building’s new dark reputation, those rooms were also for the brothel that operated out of the place. Unlike some of the higher end brothels in some of the cities, those that ‘worked’ here were slaves, used and abused by anyone with the right amount of silver. A truly horrible place that, until recently, had been hidden from the view of the general public, but a certain bug had found the place and things were about to change.
A few hundred yards away from the building the werebear stood next to his lover, in front of them stood a wasp woman. ”Sounds like we have a plan then? You two look like you’re looking forward to this far too much.” Sharifa buzzed as she looked between Lokir and Basse.
”I need a good fight, it’s been too long. But, ya, the plan, we go in and fuck up the place, you hang outside and pick off anyone that manages to get out.” Lokir replied, hand on the hilt of his bastard sword, Peacemaker. He didn’t bother with his armour this time, between him and Basse they didn’t expect this to take too long.
”Thanks for the help on this, by the way.”
”Thanks for thinking of us, Shar.” Lokir replied with a grin. The wasp woman, a retainer of Angela, had asked if Basse and Lokir would be interested in helping on this one. She had sussed out the location they were about to attack and Angela wanted to destroyed. But, due to the location and the numbers in play Sharifa knew she wouldn’t be able to do alone, so she had thought of the couple seeing as they were good in a fight. ”Right then. Shall we barge in swords out and start swinging? Or should we at least try and get a drink first?” Lokir asked and grinned to Basse.
