"With my life." Wesley said with a grin.

They didn't know what they were doing and that was okay. Wesley was guessing based on the romance novels while he assumed she knew this from being told. He was learning, since he wasn't used to any of this. They made a few mistakes along the way and were able to laugh about it. The fact that they were already bruised up didn't help but they were able to make a good time out of it.

Eventually, Hana asked Wesley to take over which he was able to. He was careful to balance having fun and making sure she was comfortable with what he was doing. He behaved a bit more aggressive at times then would become sweeter. There were no ghosts or spirits to interrupt. It was just them and the forest, nobody else to bother them. Soon they had finished and Hana snuggled up to him, pulling an extra blanket over them.

He returned her gentle kisses with his own before wrapping his arms around her to hold her. It had been a wonderful night, despite all the mistakes. Now he knew that this would not only be the night they could be together. They had all the nights ahead of him. He had something in his life to look forward to. Even if it was just her company, it made everything worthwhile. She asked him if he still wanted to stay.

"Yes, my lady." He said.

“Ohhh~ Then you are in for a long haul because I am the most stubborn person you will ever meet on the face of Revaliir. If someone dares argue it I’ll fight them… Though Aunt Toya might beat me out…”

Hana snuggled into him and being a half lycanthrope he was a tad bit warmer than she was which was nice. It felt like a low roaring fire around her and was comfortable. “Well,” she said displeased after she kissed him back, “for starters, don’t leave me in the cold.” She started to laugh. “Tease.”

After mulling over the options she gave him a smirk he would get acquainted with fast. It was mischievous, “I have a few ideas. Now the question is… Do you trust me?”

Absolutely having no idea what they were doing past things they had been told and/or read they ventured into the night. It was a bit of a learning curve for Hana since she wasn’t used to being gentle with… well, anyone. It made it worse because they were both bruised but there was some laughter about it.

Most of the time had been spent being absolutely nervous and eventually, Hana had asked Wesley to take over the situation. After the learning situation had passed successfully with no ghosts this time Hana snuggled up to him and pulled the extra blanket over them. Gentle kisses were laid to his neck before nuzzling it softly. “Still wanna stay with me?”

For a second, he was worried since she wasn't responding right away. Had he been too forward? Or was he asking too much? Then she spoke and put his concerns to ease with some additional teasing. She was wanting to stay with him? This was a…surprise. He wanted to be with her but there was a small part of him that whispered, she will leave you, into his mind. It was a part of him he disliked but…it was strong. Every time somebody left him that little thought became louder. It was a relief to hear her say that she would stay. A relief, a pleasure, a gift.

"I'll be here as long as you want me." He said, "Its a deal."

He smiled at her comments about the bad massages. Her massages were terrible but it was worth it if he got to be with her. Wesley wrapped his arms around her and held her for a few moments, afraid that this was all some sort of dream. If it was, he never wanted to wake up. For once in his life he had somebody who would be there for him just as much as he would be there for her. Never to be lost or forgotten again. He released her and pressed his lips to hers. After a few seconds he pulled back.

"So how do you want to spend the rest of our night?" Wesley asked.

He hoped that his actions hadn't weirded her out. Wesley knew that sudden hugs were a bit strange. His hand brushed aside a leaf that had gotten caught in her hair while he gazed at her.

“NO WAITING ONLY PLAYING,” she cut him off between their laughing.

She had to make up for how bad this was gonna be somehow and she really did feel bad about it. She winced every time he grunted. “I’m so sorry!” She probably apologized a dozen times during the time. She didn’t want to make it worse but she had a feeling she was. “At… least you heal fast because of your lupine blood?” She laughed nervously.

Once she made the offer there was no going back. From what she knew of Wesley he would think of something meaningful but if it was something more she wouldn’t have been angry. Her body froze up as he got near and her mouth went dry as he spoke into her ear. “Only one more night?”

She tilted her head and rolled her eyes back and forth thinking. “Mmm…” Letting him sit nervously for a few seconds. “I mean… OH DARN, you are really twisting my arm, Wesley. I mean I had only planned on traveling with you everywhere until you banished me,” she spoke softly at the end and leaned over to kiss his ear.

“I promise but one on one condition,” she put her lips to his neck. “It’s more than just one. That should make up for a lifetime of bad massages that I’m bound to dish over your lifetime.” Her mother had once told her there was no point in dating if you weren’t going to plan ahead. That it was just fooling around at that point and you shouldn’t lead a person on if that was the case.

He was a little concerned when she mentioned that she only knew how to bruise people. That was a useful hot thing to know but when it came to massages, that was not the most comforting thing to hear from somebody who was about to give one. Then she flung herself around him and dragged him with her. A smile appeared on his face as he looked into her eyes. He only realized what she was doing when he felt her hands reaching across his skin, tickling. She found the spot quickly and he began laughing out loud, trying to make her stop.

"Ahaha wait-" He continued laughing until his eyes teared up.

When she stopped he took a moment to catch his breath and to wipe his eyes. He would find out her tickle spots and get revenge later. He then laid down on his stomach to let her do her thing. She had a lack in her confidence so he made up his mind to not judge her massaging techniques. He pointed to the areas where it hurt the most and true to her words, she was horrid at it. He did his best to hold in any grunts from her accidental pressure to his bruises. The last thing he wanted was to make her feel worse about it. Once she was done, he rubbed his shoulder to ease the pain.

"Its alright." He said quickly.

Then she insisted and included that she would let him ask for anything. That gave him pause and an idea came to mind. This would not be the only date that they had. Wesley was determined to be sure of that. He pushed himself to a sitting position and moved closer to Hana, looking her in the eyes. He was only a few inches away from her face and could feel her breathing on his cheek.

"If you really want to make it up to me, then promise me this." He said softly, "One more night where we can do anything."

He moved closer to her ear and whispered.

"Promise?"

“That is really corny~” She cooed up at him and smirked. “Yes, my lady sounds sexy so we will stay with it. Now, I just have to find something I can say to you.”

After getting him undressed she mulled over his question. “I know how to bruise people…” She held her arms in a shrug. “I’m not a healer Ma is. Now, let me see if I can’t poke you just right like you poke me.” She flung herself around him and dragged him with her. “So… next best thing,” she tickled her fingers across his skin until she felt a reaction.

Once she had discovered the spot she laid in and tickled him until she felt her arms get tired. She had tears on the edge of her eyes from laughing at him laughing. “Alright, I can do this. Show me where it hurts Beau.” After he showed her she tenderly rubbed the salve in and like she had said she was terrible at it. “You are much better than I am. I’ll make it up to you…”

She thought about it. “I’ll let you ask me for anything to make up for it.” There was a tone to her that suggested she would probably do anything he asked and she was curious if he would take her up on it. She laid on her side by him and looked up at the moon.

“It’s going to be full in two days' time. Should be fun.”

"I could always say as you wish or something corny like that." He joked.

Wesley finished the massage and listened to Hana about how it felt. He was glad to have helped her aching back, even if he couldn't cure it right away. Her pride had been injured, as was his, but she had a solution to that. He blushed slightly as she said he could fix it.

"I'll do my best." He said with a small smile.

She requested that he stripped but it was more of a cute demand than anything else. He didn't mind stripping, since they had already seen each other without clothes. But when she mentioned how she was going to make him pay for the next inn he decided to move a little faster. Wesley didn't have a single coin to his name and he wasn't keen on letting people know that. He began removing his shirt when suddenly Hana leaned in to help. Together they managed to get him undressed. When he looked over to Hana he could see the glow of the fire illuminating her. Gods, she was pretty.

"You do know how to massage, right?" He said with a cheeky little smile.

Wesley had no idea where this was going but he was unafraid to challenge her a little.

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Sat May 30, 2020 9:03 AM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

It was cute how he reacted to her words and it got a giggle out of her. Once she had received the letter Hana’s face twisted a bit, “I doubt it. She isn’t like that but she could probably sense it and knew the location. Knowing her she was worried since we had gotten attacked and were out here with practically nothing.”

She looked up at him from the blanket as he trotted over and quirked an eyebrow. “So obedient,” she chuckled, “but somehow I feel like yes my lady is the cuter version of yes dear.” She teased him back. Gods he was good with his hands and that was a true blessing at the moment with all the bruising she had managed to get.

Laying her head down sideways she closed her eyes and let him do his magic. She might have dozed off for a moment but when he spoke up she peeked up at him. “A lot better. Still have a lot of hurt pride though and I’m not sure there is a salve in the world that could fix that but you can~” There was a cheeky smile from her as she pushed herself up and sat next to him.

“Okay Lover Boy, your turn,” she patted the place where she had been. “If you don’t strip you are the one paying for the next inn we find and I’ll make sure to buy the most expensive room,” she was grinning a bit. “And all you can eat food and I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a bottomless pit but I am almost always hungry~” She was teasing and joking a bit too much before she leaned in and helped him. “Or~ this might be better.”

He blushed a little when she mentioned that he was sexy. He'd never been called that before. It was sweet. Then she mentioned how she'd want another date or ten. That meant she was up to try dating, even after all the chaos they had just experienced. He got off the blanket so Hana could shake it out then moved to her side when she started wincing at her injury. A rainbow phoenix flew down with a message tied to its leg and a pouch in its beak. Wesley's face was filled with confusion, especially when Hana greeted this phoenix apparently named Raine. It was from Hana's mother! Then Hana read the letter.

"She was watching?" He asked putting his face in his hands.

Great. Now her mother had seen him mess up a date. Luckily it didn't seem that she was mad about it which was a great relief to him. There were many parents who would have flayed him alive if they had heard what he had done. He looked up to Hana as she facepalmed and smiled. At least he wasn't the only one who felt embarrassed by all of this. He helped her with setting up the fire. Then she instructed him to rub the salves on her and got undressed. His face was pink again and he moved to her side.

"Yes my lady." He said teasingly.

Wesley opened up one of the containers and dipped his hand to scoop out the salve. After rubbing the salve evenly over his hands, he began to work on her back. Unlike the dates or kissing he was experienced in giving massages. It was a part time job he had back when he was still living in his village. Wesley was careful with the spots of bruises but was certain to cover them all in the salve. He could feel her tense muscles and would work them out. He first worked slowly, to allow her to relax and feel comfortable. His hands started at the lower back and slowly started to move upwards on both sides of the spine. He made circular motions as he worked upwards and pressed slightly with his thumbs. After he finished with the back, he worked on the arms. He applied more salve then lightly covered the bruises before starting on her arms. His hands moved across her shoulders, working out any tense muscles along the way, and applied less pressure as he moved down her arms. The entire time he wasn't anxious or embarrassed but focused. Wesley's eyes were intense as he gazed at her skin, looking for the bruises and spots to massage.

"How do you feel?" Wesley questioned.

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Thu May 28, 2020 6:59 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

“Shit, I would have dropped me too,” she laughed hard now but winced a bit as she put a hand to her side. “Think I bruised a rib or five.”

Hana threw her shirt on since it was a tidbit nipply out following Wesley’s lead. She took her sword back and smirked. “Well, I thought it was pretty damn sexy how you tried to protect me from a ghost,” she gave him a smirk and nodded to what came next. “Oh, it was fantastic and I would love a redo… without the ghosts. Maybe another date or ten.”

Hana got up and pulled out the blanket once more. She shook some of the dust from the lower floor from and winced from moving too much. “I’ve had worse but everything hurts.”

A rainbow phoenix flew down and hopped over near them. In its beak was a pouch and a letter was tied to its leg. Hana held out her arm and the bird flew up. “Hi Raine,” Hana chuckled as she took the pouch and the letter.

“GOTTA GO BE SAFE!” A joyous woman’s voice came from the phoenix as it took off.

“It’s from Ma,” Hana opened the bag and there was some salve. She cleared her throat and read the letter.

“Hey Kids,

Really? Fucking in an abandoned-could-be-haunted observatory? Ballsy. You traumatized that poor spirit and I’m sure he got you both too.–

Hana blushed and looked up at Wesley. “I’ve included two things of salve. Massage it into each other where you hurt. There should be enough.

PS – I’ve seen worst first times so feel better about it. Could be worse.

- Mom”

Hana facepalmed and before long she had a fire going and had put a blanket out. “Okay, Mr. Drop My Girlfriend on the Floor, come rub this stuff on me.” Before he would know it she had gotten undressed and laid down. “I have all night. We got two blankets and enough for a bed. Two massages. LET'S GO~” Hana tossed one of the containers up to him and patted the space next to her on the blanket.

Just before he was pulled away by Hana, he managed to grab his pack which still had his violin. The candles ended up being left behind but he still had the sword. They bolted down the stairs but Hana tripped partway down. He tried to reach and grab her but she was too far away and rolled down the stairs. Now she had more bruises. Great. When he got to the bottom of the stairs, he helped Hana up. He was not going to let her get ghosted. The second they made it out of the building, Hana turned around and cursed out the ghost before shutting the observatory for good. She took his hand and they both ran down the hill and into a forest clearing. Once they were safe and away from the ghost, he took a moment to catch his breath. He sat down on the ground and flopped into the grass.

"Well I know I won't forget it any time soon. I thought it was great until mister ghastly decided to show." He said with a smile before looking over to her, "Sorry for dropping you by the way."

He then began to look through the stuff they had managed to grab. Wesley realized that they had forgotten the candles and his bow but everything else had been saved. Pushing himself to a sitting position, he looked over to Hana to see how she was coping. He reached over to his shirt and put it back on since the night in the forest was cold before handing her back the sword he'd borrow.

"I'm afraid I don't seem to be very useful with this." He said with a smirk, "What about you? Was this the most absolutely perfect first date?"

He said that last part with the most sarcastic voice he could muster but there was a smile on his face. Wesley had to admit that of all the first date stories he'd heard of, this one would probably top them all. He noticed that she had several bruises and all of them were not the fun kind. Along his own back was several bruises from when he'd fallen earlier. Unlike Hana, he didn't know how to fall correctly so they were decent sized. Even his head felt a bit sore as he had forgotten to try to protect the head. He gently rubbed the part of his head that had been hit before turning back to Hana.

"Does anything hurt?" He asked awkwardly.

Ever been dropped by a cute guy who almost got in your pants? Hana was. Not that it was Wesley’s fault but god damn she could feel the burn on her back and ass from hitting the floor hard. Luckily, she had managed to avoid her head as she swiped their shirts off the ground. Wesley had her sword and was waving it around.

“I KNOW WHAT DOES WORK!” Hana yelled as she snatched her bag up, blanket, and whatever else she could. Taking his free hand she yanked him and started to bolt down the stairs. She tripped partway down and rolled for impact (thankfully having let go of Wesley to get down the stairs faster). She groaned as she laid on her back for a few seconds.

The ghost had managed to get down to the bottom level. She offered her hand up to Wesley and grabbed their stuff once she was up. They bolted out the door and Hana turned around. “AND FUCK YOU TOO!” She pulled the handle shut with a bang after she had poked her head inside to yell at the ghost. “Un-fucking-believable,” she took his hand and started to run again.

“Almost dead ass middle of the night and we’re on the run! Total mood killer,” she complained as she got them to a clearing far enough away. She dropped all their gear and put her hands on her knees as she panted. “So,” she looked up at him and started to laugh once the initial terror was over, “was our first date everything you wanted it to be?”

Author: Wesley Meas, Posted: Thu May 28, 2020 5:43 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

Instinct was all he had, that and a few romance novels. He was listening to her body language and the gentle pulls she made whenever he did something right. When she pushed his head away, he moved easily and helped her remove his shirt before going to hers. Every part of his body was on fire as the excitement of their activities grew. He would tease her and then she would do the same to him until they had reached the pant laces. It was a little hard to undo them and they seemed to be messing up on it, which made him chuckle rather than give up. His hands were wandering all around as he listened to the sound of her breathing.

Suddenly a glass-breaking shriek sprang from her lips and all but shattered his eardrums. He let go of her and quickly covered his ears. He stumbled over his own feet and fell backwards, hitting the ground with a grunt. When he looked up, a pale face was staring directly at him. Wesley's eyes widened since the ghost was only a few inches away. Ignoring the bruises he'd acquired from falling to the hard floor, he quickly moved away from the ghost and reached for Hana's sword. Once he snatched it he ran over to stand in front of Hana with the sword.

"S-stay away from us!" He shouted.

He wasn't exactly intimidating the ghost since he was shirtless and clearly panicking. The ghost began to float closer to the pair. The ghost was stretched out and awkwardly proportioned. Its face was long and its eyes were wide, as though it just saw something horrifying. Wesley attempted to slash the ghost in half with the sword but it just went through it.

"Well Hana, at least we know the answer to your question earlier." Wesley said, "Swords don't work on ghosts."

He couldn't let this be how they died. They didn't even get to the best part and he was still half naked!

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Thu May 28, 2020 5:20 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

The truth was: she had absolutely no idea what she was doing and was practically winging it. So, color her surprised when sweet and seemingly innocent Wesley turned the tables on her brass self. Her ma had always told her how teenagers were always having sloppy make-out sessions and how it helped them for their future lovers… She was kinda embarrassed she punched every guy who ever asked her because she knew absolutely nothing.

Going off pure instinct was all the two had from the sounds of it. He was just as new to it as she was. Her lips pursed as he kissed her once more only to pull away. The tease. Though his soft voice had managed to send goosebumps up every part of her and a shiver down her spine once his lips were almost to her ear.

She wanted to say something witty. Something smart ass to round out his ‘Yes, my lady.’ but she couldn’t get it out. Wesley was gentle picking her and her legs delicately wrapped around his waist to keep her stable as he put her against the wall. Suddenly it was hard to breathe because she was excited. Her eyes were deadlocked to his until he began to love on her with his lips. One of her hands and managed to make it to his hair and she gave him gentle pulls whenever he had found a spot she liked in particular while her other held tightly onto his shoulder.

Of all the times to worry about stupid things she began to worry that she should have bathed after all the running earlier. The only thing that quieted that was that Wesley had also been running earlier so he couldn’t talk and there was a mental sigh of relief. Too much panic for a time she was supposed to be enjoying. “Wes?” her voice was gentle and quiet as she pushed his head away from her body. He had reached the top of her tunic and taking the bold move of ‘well that can’t be in the way so his has to go to.’ she moved to remove his shirt and help him with hers.

A few hops, skips, and jumps later they had almost made it to their goal. Spending the last twenty or so minutes teasing each other before trying to undo the pant laces and having an embarrassingly hard time doing so but at least they were messing up together.

Pants halfway down the buttocks they were kissing and giggling softly. Having fun with it, after all, neither of them had done anything like this before. Hana had herself pressed against his neck rubbing her nose tenderly against his skin before kissing delicately. At some point, she had opened her eyes and looked up to find… a pale face staring at her almost close enough for her to touch.

“W-Wesley… GHOST!” A shriek left her lips.

Author: Wesley Meas, Posted: Thu May 28, 2020 4:41 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

Hana came from two different worlds it seemed. Her tribe and the Red Court. He wondered if it was hard for her to live in two separate worlds. Then she began mentioning her family and how her pack was her family. To have so many people as family was a strange concept for him. He grew up without a pack. It was just his small family which now were none.

"Well being alive is a very good hobby." He said with a chuckle.

He joined her in the laughter as she threw herself onto him further. Once the laughter died he was pulled into another kiss but this time he was prepared for it. She didn't have any concerns from the last one so he had to assume he was doing it right. There was a long pause before Hana spoke up again and asked the third question. Instead of replying right away, he bent over and held up her chin. Slowly he pressed his lips against hers, closing his eyes. It was a few seconds before he pulled away and leaned in to her ear to whisper his response.

"Yes, my lady."

It was a bit of a tease. He carefully picked her up and pressed her against the wall. He was careful to listen to her body language in case she wanted him to stop at any moment. His head moved to her neck as he caressed her skin with his lips. His hands moved to her hips, holding her against the wall. Every second was heaven with her as he moved downwards.

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Thu May 28, 2020 3:46 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

Hana wiggled her nose at the boop and stuck her tongue out before moving on to answering his questions.

“Me?” She thought about it. “I was born in Sularia, the capital city of Arri up north in the desert. My mother was the reigning queen of the Red Court at the time and she was a goddess before I was born. She’s always tried to have my siblings and us at home because if Elysia were to ever fall we would still know where we came from. I was raised in the courts of the nobles of Arri and in the tribal lands of Bohar. My pack is called Lunar Sun. My pa is the beta and head warrior and my brother Jet will take his place when my pa is ready. I trained with my lycanthrope brothers and sisters for half of the week and had court lessons the other half.”

She stopped for a moment and chuckled, “I only have two brothers from my pa. One is disowned by both my ma and my pa. The other is my twin Jet. When I say my brothers and sisters I mean those in my pack. We trust each other enough to be family and we treat each other as such.”

Thinking about her age she stopped and grinned. “I’m twenty-five which means you are into older women,” she teased him lightly. “I was born in the cool air of Venti though Sularia is still hot during that time of the year. I like to do a whole lot of things and I really don’t know where to start. I just like being ALIVE,” she threw her arms out and threw herself on him even more than she was as she yelled and laughed.

Eventually, though the laughter died down as she shifted herself after a bit of thought. Pushing Wesley back she locked her lips with his letting herself almost loom over him. Coming up to breathe after a long moment she held a smirk, “Ma says that you gotta do what you gotta do and if you don’t take what you want then someone else is going to. Question three: Would you spend the night with me?”

Well, she had always heard that lycanthropes lives in the fast lane and to just go with it.

The stars that Hala pointed out was fascinating, and she was telling him more about her own world through her stories. He kept The Lunar Clover in mind in case he would need it in the future ahead. All these stars could be remixed into thousands of different constellations, each made for a unique tale. Then there was the idea about eternal devotion and soulmates. Wesley had a lot of hope for that idea. He'd seen a marriage and its strains in his parents. He'd seen how after a while the relationship broke down into a distant friendship. Still, he wouldn't give up on eternal devotion and everlasting love.

"Okay." He said to her so called request, "I'm 20 years old and I'm from a small village in Jayou called Phoumi. We moved there when I was two and stayed ever since."

The village seemed like it was some relic of the past. An old item he'd forgotten about. Still it was a part of him as any other thing in his life. His mannerism, his understanding of the world, and some of his oldest enemies came from that place. A childhood wrapped from a tiny cottage with few rooms and hundreds of chores. He smiled softly at the memory of it. Then he turned his attention back to Hana.

"Now its your turn." He said, "How old are you? And what are your hobbies? I mean besides being an adventurous pirate getting herself into trouble."

He quickly booped her nose with his free hand, glad to have avenged his own nose from when they first met. Wesley wondered what her life had been like. What did she do for fun as a child? There were so many questions in his mind and he only had eighteen left. Hopefully, if everything worked out just right, he would have more opportunities to get to know and understand her.

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Wed May 27, 2020 6:31 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

“Nahh, we can eat later. You don’t actually want to move either,” she smirked a bit and relaxed completely. She watched as the sea fire disappeared and the night sky took over. Hundreds of stars were laid out before them and it was a sight that she would never get tired of.

Once he began to point out his own constellations she got excited. “OH! I CAN SEE IT CLEARLY WHEN YOU POINT IT OUT LIKE THAT!” She sounded amazed as she snuggled in more. “You should write all of this down. You know constellations always start out as someone’s story. You could be really good at it Wesley.”

Staring back at him she thought for a moment. “Wolves are naturally attuned to the night sky. From the time we are born till the time we pass and sometimes even after. Those of us who have served the Mother Moon and the Sister Moon well will be called upon for the eternal hunt,” she reached up with a free hand. “Edrik, the mighty wolf, was the first of our kind or so the stories say. His stars are the five right there. He pledged himself to the Mother Moon and protected her from the mortals. He also loved the Sister Moon but dared not tell her because she too was holy to him and his kin.”

Moving her finger she made a face for a moment, “The shield of Delise is represented in these stars here. She was a shield maiden among the first of the Lycanthrope. She slew a great mighty titan to save her kin. And… Over here,” she dragged her finger once more and pointed out a few more stars. “Is the Lunar Clover. It represents the fate that binds us among wolves. The Lunar Clover is a special flower that blooms in Bohar and is presented in my tribe to our mates. If one accepts they are bonded not only by the strings of fate but by blood. Once mated these wolves never separate and they are emotionally tuned to one another. Ma says that it is the greatest kind of love. Eternal devotion. A soulmate.”

She realized it sounded a bit heavy in their situation and chuckled. “Rosenites also have constellations that we follow. I can tell you about it another time though… Ours are based on history and it sounds boring when you make it a lesson like that. You have to explain everything.”

Closing her eyes she thought about it. “Let’s play twenty questions.” It wasn’t really a request as she went right into it. “How old are you and where are you from?”

He was relieved to hear her explain she didn't have any expectations. Wesley didn't either but he was unsure if Hana would. He relaxed as Hana put his arm around her and rested her head against his neck. It was comfortable since he could easily look to the sea and stars but still be able to look at her. The sun finished its decent into the sea and left the stars that were just starting to appear in the sky. She asked if he brought any food and Wesley smiled.

"I knew I was forgetting something." He said with a small chuckle, "If you want I can get you some but you seem pretty comfy. I'd hate to make you move."

And he'd hate to have her move. His eyes drifted to the glass ceiling above them. The stars sparkled like tiny little jewels in the sky while the moon looked like the centerpiece holding everything together. The sky was a mix of purple and black, as the sun had only just set and had left some colors behind. Using his left arm, that wasn't wrapped around Hana, he pointed to a set of stars.

"You see those stars? If you follow it from right to left, you can see a hummingbird." He said, "It's probably not an official constellation. As a kid I'd stay up until morning counting the stars and making pictures out of them. The sky itself was a painting and I was the decoder, trying to find the hidden images. I guess it was a way for me to entertain myself when I was bored."

He looked to her beautiful eyes.

"What about you?" He asked, "How do you see the stars?"

Hana chuckled and shook her head. “City Lycans are different from Tribal. In our tribe, most of us die young so we mate young and we have children young. I’m obviously an exception because of who my mother is and so is my twin brother.” Had she told him she had a twin? “His name is Jet and he is eight minutes older. He tends to hold it over my head.”

She realized she was rambling off and before long she had gotten the bold idea to kiss him. Hana could tell that she had either spooked him or surprised him really well. The young woman was leaning towards the surprised part thanks to how he was reacting later in the kiss. “We’ll figure it out. How hard can it be? At least we don’t have any expectations,” she chuckled softly.

She reached up and rubbed her neck. “Who knows? Enjoy the night? See where it takes us? I don’t even know where to take this myself. I just know as long as you are here that it will be perfect.” She scooted across the blanket and for a second hesitated as the blush came across her cheeks again. She reached out and gently took his arm putting it around her before she rested her head against the nook of his neck. This way she could tilt her head up and look at him but also see the sea of fire.

“I think this is a good start…” Pulling a second blanket over she covered the two of them and pondered for a moment. “Did you bring food too?” She was mostly teasing and she didn’t really want him to move. “I guess I should have asked that before I moved in like this.”

"I try to have some class when bringing a girl to a date." He said once Hana described her experiences.

He knew he wasn't the best at dating but he was thoroughly surprised by the way other lycanthropes' behaviors. Wesley wondered for a moment if being raised without the culture of lycans actually helped him out in this area. It was one of the many reasons why he couldn't control his wolf form. That and the curse. But he knew, Lycan or not, nobody should treat somebody like that. Especially not Hana. She deserved better.

He took a tiny sip of his wine before setting down the glass. Suddenly Hana moved in with a kiss. Everything seemed to be in slow motion for Wesley as he panicked, wondering if he was supposed to keep his mouth closed or open. What kind of kiss was this? What should he do? He'd never been kissed before and had no clue how to go about it. When she pulled away, his face was flustered and pink.

"I'm glad you chose me." He said softly, "Sorry, I'm not exactly experienced in any of this either."

In one fell swoop, she destroyed all of his attempts to be suave and cool with a single kiss. Not that he minded that much, but now he had no idea what to do next. The romance novels he'd read ended the date at the kiss or went into…other stuff. Were they supposed to do the other stuff? No that seemed too soon. They'd just met. But what if that's what she wanted? He tried to push aside these thoughts and tried to focus.

"So what do you want to do now?" Wesley asked.

He was leaned in and still invested in the date but he was also trying to figure out where to take it. If only somebody had wrote a manual on how to do a date! Then he could just follow the book's instructions. On the outside, he was just blushing a bit and seemed to be calm but on the inside, things were different.

Hana grinned at Wesley as he promised to keep her secret. “Whatever, she would get it out of you. She knew my brother-in-law was thinking about my sister’s ass in her presence. Having a deity for a parent means you don’t get away with anything.” She chuckled a bit more. “Not that Ma would ever tell you she was doing it. She was just tired of seeing my sister’s ass cheeks vividly.” There was a snerk from her as she held back a laugh.

There was a sudden burst of air from Hana as she exhaled rapidly. Her lips rumbled together as she let out the worst sound ever while she tried to hold back a laugh at Wesley. She was grinning like a fool and shaking her head at him. “At least have a lick before you decide to buy the whole piece. You don’t even know if you would like to eat me.” She couldn’t stop herself from laughing before she settled down to hear why they were really there.

The wine made her quirk her eyebrow at him and slowly it clicked a little as she sat up. There was a silly little smile on her face once he came out with it. “I don’t think I’m that amazing besides you marched me right into a haunted conservatory to have a last-minute date with me. I think that’s mighty impressive. Most men would have been ‘HANA ROSE I WANT YOU TO BE MY MATE AND HAVE ALL OF MY PUPS.’” She mocked in a deeper voice and from the sounds of it she had heard it before. “You are the first Lycanthrope who hasn’t actually fed me that line believe it or not.”

She took the wine glass and swirled the wine letting her nose catch a whiff of the liquid inside the glass. “Well, I really do mean when I say that I want to spend time with you too.” Her voice got a bit timider as her face flushed. “I’m not very good with this sort of thing. I’ve been asked out plenty but I’ve never actually gone on a date with anyone before… You would be the first.”

There was no better time than the present as she drank down some of the wine fast and gulped it down. Her eyes were staring at him almost with stars before quickly leaning in and putting her lips to his. “No better person I think to have a lot of firsts with now that I think about it.” It left her lips as a whisper.

The jab knocked the air out of him for a second since he wasn't expecting it. Wesley smiled and watched as she enjoyed herself. He didn't know much about the history since when he found it, he just was using it as a place to sleep. While she was looking at the room, Wesley slipped a few of the candles out of his bag and set them around the blanket, trying to be as discrete as possible. Hana talked about she thought it was impressive, especially since it wasn't in a god realm, then a bit of panic filled her voice before she asked him to keep it a secret.

"Don't worry. I'm great with secrets." Wesley said.

She then got straight to the point and asked him why he'd brought her up there in the first place.

"No, I'm afraid there's more to it. You've caught me at last. There's no denying it!" He said with a cheeky smirk and a hand to his forehead, "I'm a lycanthrope eater who will devour your soul!"

His voice was silly and he was acting overly dramatic so she would know right away he was joking with her. Wesley took the wine bottle he'd stolen from the camp and two wine glasses from his bag and showed them to her. He slowly tried to pull out the cork. It didn't work at first but he eventually got it.

"I actually wanted to have some wine with you." He said as he began pouring her a glass, "I swiped it from the thieves camp. The tent with all the bright colors and feathers. Been stealing to survive for five years now. Only it was food instead of wine and supplies."

He poured himself a glass and set the wine bottle aside. His hand reached for a match and lit a few of the candles before putting the match out and sitting down next to Hana.

"I also wanted to spend time with you. You're an amazing person Hana." Wesley said with sincere eyes, "I mean that."

“Probably tea made out of our bone marrow…” Hana stuck out her tongue and chuckled a bit more. At least the jokes were making her feel better. “Ma said there are two types of hauntings. One is residual and one is the one you don’t want to be around.” Her mother would know best about all that stuff since she got called away on more than one occasion to deal with a spirit who wouldn’t leave.

“Whoa,” Hana let it come from her mouth as she wandered around with her eyes darting everywhere. She used the lantern where the light from the sea of fire wasn’t reaching. The whole place was actually kinda gorgeous. “You did promise me a sea of fire~ I didn’t realize you were going to clean too. Ma says that’s a positive in a mate,” she was teasing him again.

Before Wesley could sit she managed to sprawl out one of the thick blankets she had stolen. Plopping herself next to him she rolled her eyes back and forth as she mused. “Mmmm,” she let it go on for a while before she jabbed his ribs with her elbow playfully. “It is rather impressive!” She chuckled and threw herself back on the blanket so she could look up at the sea of fire he had brought her all this way to see.

“This is incredible. The amount of art and history in this room alone was worth the trip but this,” she put her hands up reaching towards the sky, “is definitely one of my favorite parts!” She grinned and looked over at him. “I’m glad you brought me here. I’ve never seen anything like this before. At least not if it wasn’t in a god realm… It isn’t as impressive when they have it.” She paused for a moment before a slight panic filled her voice. She plopped herself up and put her finger to his lips, “Do not tell my ma I said that. Her feelings would get hurt.”

She lowered her finger before plopping back down this time taking him with her. She was laying on her side looking at him. “So, Wesley?” She let the question hang in the air. “You didn’t bring me all the way out here just to bribe me to see my ma did ya?”

Wesley was beginning to wonder which one of them was actually the more frightened. He'd assume it was himself, but he had been to the observatory before so it wasn't as bad. He closed the door behind them and listened as it made a loud creak. Dust was everywhere and now he was regretting that he hadn't gone ahead to clean things up. Hana DID say she liked creepy things

"Maybe they already did." Wesley commented as he looked at the dirty floor.

He watched as she subtly jumped away from a spider web and seemed to be slightly uncomfortable. But she continued on-wards and appeared determined to get to the top. Wesley followed behind her as she cut through the spiderwebs with her sword and headed towards the stairs. Everything about the observatory seemed the same since his last trip which was a relief. The last thing it needed was thieves or a cult of the dead moving in.

"Alright alright!" Wesley said with a chuckle as he was nudged to the stairs by her sword, "I'd imagine magical swords could cut a ghost. I guess if all else fails we could invite the ghost to tea. If ghosts can drink tea….I'm not caught up on ghost knowledge."

As he spoke, he climbed up the stairs towards the top of the observatory. The room was silent with only the occasional creaking of the building to provide any sound. Finally Wesley made it to the top of the staircase. The top room had a ceiling of glass and a few glass walls. The dust covered floor had a circle with the phases of the moon and a lotus flower in the center, like he had described earlier. The sun was setting and made the sea look like it was on fire. The room was filled with light from the sunset that shone through the glass.

"Here we are." Wesley said turning back to Hana, "Like I promised. A sea of fire. Now lets see if there's anything I can do about the dust."

A small rag was in the corner along with an empty bucket. He had no water but he was able to clear the floor's layer of dust. Once he was done, Wesley dropped the rag into the bucket and sat down in the center of the observatory.

"What do you think?" He asked with a little smile.

They were quite the pair. Both were rather nimble with their fingers and it showed as they continued to do so until they finally arrived at their destination without getting caught. They could have had a whole farm with the land if they were really up to the challenge. It did entertain Hana at how good he was when it came to stealing. It was a good survival tactic after all and he did say he had been traveling for a while.

“I’ll look forward to it,” she said in a teasing tone as they stalked closer to the rather large building. She had never known this was here and it gave her an eerie feeling. “Okay, fine inside the spooky conservatory but I get to be dessert if they come to eat us,” there was a smirk and chuckle as he opened up the door.

There was a creak thanks to the old hinges on the door and it only added to the increased creepiness the building had. The dust made her sneeze and that led her to waving her hand a bit to wave the dust away from her. Not that it helped, the whole damn place was covered. “Someone needs to fire their ghost maid… She clearly sucks at her job.”

Cautiously she crossed the threshold of the conservatory and her bi-colored eyes were looking all around to see what was lurking inside the building. “So is this where you tell me you are a lycanthrope eater and trap me?” It was filled with humor as she lightly jumped away from a spider web that she had almost walked into. “Let’s set up camp before we become actual spider food… Never mind the ghosts,” she took her sword and cleared the webs as they went.

“To the tippy top, I do suppose.” She held out the sword in a heroic manner as she pointed towards the stairs. “I came for stars and I want to see the stars. I will cut through anything that gets in my way, or at least try to… Do you think you could cut into a ghost if you believed you could?” She blinked a bit and shrugged. “Probably not… That was probably some hocus pocus bullshit that my cousin was sprouting during the yearly get together.” She looked back at Wesley.

“Well, gentlemen first… After all, you are supposed to be braver than I am,” She got behind him and started to push him towards the stairs. “How bad could it be Mr. Explorer?” The staircase looked even eerier. She grabbed an old lantern off the wall and with some fire magic managed to light it up. “Oh, loveeeellyyyy. The light makes it look even more creepy than my night sight did.”

She patted him gently on the tush with the flat side of her sword, "Come on now…" She sounded more like she was trying to reassure herself.

His face was a little flustered after she got up but he did his best to hide it. She then began to talk about where they could get some materials and weapons. He pushed himself to a sitting position and listened as she told him the plan. Wesley felt fine with this, since they were stealing from other thieves it was fine. And he felt that they could really use some items, unless they wanted to die halfway through their journey.

"Alright." He said with a small.

The next day, they were traveling through the forest with their new materials. While she had been stealing important things like packs and a sword, he had been swiping other items. He had a pack as well but his was filled with a violin, a bottle of wine, two glasses, and candles. He had to investigate the camp thoroughly to find these items and the candles were a little plain. Beggars couldn't be choosers. Wesley did have a basic hunting bow and some arrows, so he had SOME useful items. But he had mostly been on a lookout for things that could make their trip more romantic. They could see the observatory on the hill. He felt her fingers run up his spine as she made ghost noises. Then she offered to hold him.

"I'll keep that in mind if a ghost appears." He said with a little smile, "Lets make camp inside the spooky observatory. That way we'll get to see the ghosts clearly if they decide to kill us."

That last part was mostly a joke, since he didn't expect too many ghosts to be out and about. The sun was getting close to sunset so he quickened his pace as he went up the hill. He didn't want her to miss the sea of fire but he made sure she was able to keep up. Not that was too much of a concern. He doubted anything could slow her down. Wesley made his way to the door and opened it. A cloud of dust flew out causing him to go into a fit of coughing.

"Sorry!" He said afterwards, "I forgot how dusty it was in there."

Wesley opened the door for Hana to let her in first.

“You found yourself the right Gal than. I find trouble all by myself imagine what two of us will do!” She offered him a big grin. Angela’s realm would be an experience for Wesley but that would be for later… Right now they had an adventure ahead of them.

“That sounds good. We’ll have to thieve some weapons. I happen to have seen a camp on our way in. They had some stolen goods I recognize… Shouldn’t hurt. I can get them on our way through. You just have to stay quiet and be my loyal guard,” Hana got up straddling his waist and gently booped his nose before getting up all the way. “After that, we can go until the sunlight is about to end. We should probably stop there. These parts of the woods can be dangerous after all.”

For the next day, they traveled with caution after Hana had gotten a sword. (Really it was the only thing she could get from a sleeping guard but now it was on her waist.) “We got a blanket, we can share it.” Oh yeah, she had managed to steal an empty pack as well which was on her back now. “I lost most of my goods when I had to shift.” She could see the observatory up on the hill. “So do we make camp inside the spooky observatory?” She started to make ghost noises as she ran her fingers up Wesley’s spine. “Or out here where we won’t get killed by ghosts. Cause that thing is most definitely probably haunted. If you're scared I can hold you though," she said with a cheeky smile.

His heart felt like it leapt out of his body when she jumped at him but it wasn't because he was scared. This was the first time he'd have a woman jump at him like that. Her wild excitement was infectious but it turned mischievous before she agreed to his deal, but with conditions. Then Hana pinned him to the ground by the fire. He didn't mind it. But he knew at that moment, his heart had been captured. She was incredible!

"Yes. I'll need somebody who can get into trouble with me" He said with a smile, "And I agree to your conditions."

Visiting Hana's mother was a small price to pay if it meant he could spend more time with her. Wesley noticed that all his nervous behavior seemed to fade away when talking with her. It was present at first but now he felt safe in her presence. For some reason, he felt that she would understand him, even though they just met. There was something about her that he couldn't put a name to.

"We'll have a day of travel. The observatory is still in the Virens forest but its still a good distance away." He explained.

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Mon May 25, 2020 6:02 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

There was a light giggle from her lips. “Well, I happen to think that’s a lie. You are a whole lot of stuff you just don’t see it.”

Hana got absorbed to listening about the conservatory and it showed with how big her eyes are. She loved going to older places and abandoned places. They held mysteries and often treasure. The stars and the night sky were vast and it sounded very romantic coming from Wesley. Her face flushed a bit as she realized where her headspace was going and she shook it gently. Getting the thoughts away she finally heard Wesley’s proposal.

It made her jump on him. Her arms her around him and she was filled with a wild excitement. “REALLY?! WHAT KIND OF FAVOR?!”

Then it came out and the smile drained for a moment before a mischievous look came to her face. “Fine, but you have to come with me and deal with her. I’ll go with you to the observatory under those conditions.” Hana had him pinned to the ground by the fire. “It sounds like an amazing adventure.” Her bi-colored eyes were staring down into his. “Are you sure you wanna take me there?”

Author: Wesley Meas, Posted: Mon May 25, 2020 5:43 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

Wesley listened closely as Hana began to describe her job. So she was a pirate but a good one. A good pirate! Her life seemed adventurous but rewarding. He could only wonder what that might be like. Then she tilted her head in a way that made Wesley's heart skip a beat. It took him a few moments to get his thoughts together after she asked him about his life.

"I'm a traveler of sorts." He said then let out a small sigh, "I'm afraid I'm not much of anything. Just some guy who got a little too lost in the world. But I have traveled a lot. One time I found this beautiful abandoned conservatory. Even though it was forgotten, it was in really good shape!"

He set aside his plate and stood up to try to show how big the building was.

"It was really wide and tall, I'd say bigger than this cave even." He described, "All the walls were made of glass and it was on a hill that looked out to the see. You can get a perfect view of both the sea and the stars. And when the sun sets the ocean looks like its on fire! I bet if we brought a magic lens we could even see beyond the stars. The strangest thing was the floor. It was a circle like this,"

He took a stick and began to drag it across the dirt to make a circle. Then he began to make small moon icons around the circle. In the middle, he began to draw a lotus flower but all the other details of the floor had been forgotten.

"All the phases of the moon was on the circle and in the center was this large lotus flower." He explained, "I have no idea what it means or why the owners had it there but I that was the thing I remembered most about the conservatory."

After he was done, Wesley walked back to the fire and sat down.

"You know, I could take you there if you wanted to go. But I'd need you to do a tinsy wheensy little favor for me." Wesley said with a small smirk, "You'd have to visit your mother for at least ten minutes."

Author: Hana Rose, Posted: Mon May 25, 2020 5:12 PM, Post Subject: Runaway Hearts [p/r]

Hana would have looked shocked at what her mother pulled but instead, she just sighed. “Ma says she is getting old and wants grandchildren from any of us excluding Gale… If she had her way Gale would be sterilized… I guess that sounds harsh but you need to meet my brother Gale.” Hana smiled a bit and chuckled. “Mother can be strict when it’s necessary but she is also understanding to all of our individual plights. My father wasn’t here for my first shift so Mother went and got my aunt who raised half lycanthropes. She helped me with my cousins. Creating a rounded child is more important than over spoiling or being overly strict. Her words, not my mine.”

The taste of home was a blessing to her and it showed on her face as she stuffed it. “Ma’s recipes are always the best. I remember her making banana bread and it’s one of my favorite things in existence,” Hana talked with her mouth full before blushing and laughing. “Sorry.” She thought about how best to answer his next question.

“Well, I take jobs stealing back things that thieves steal… So I guess I’m like a pirate. I also do slave saving jobs on occasion but only with a group of people. My job is to be more silent if I can help it.” Tilting her head in the cutest way she could she eyed Wesley. “What about you? Is your job rescuing and clothing damsels in distress while getting hounded by their mothers?”

When saw her asleep with drool on her arm, he let out a soft chuckle. He sat down next to the fire and handed the clothes over to Hana once she woke up. She then began to explain how she was surprised that he came back, after meeting Angela. Then she began to change and he politely turned away, even though she had been naked the entire time. The way he grew up taught him to look away, so he turned away. Once she was done he looked back.

"Yeah she asked about pups after assuming we were married. It was a bit embarrassing." He admitted, "But it seemed she really cares. I guess I wasn't expecting somebody so…enthusiastic. My mother was very different so I guess that's why it was more of a shock. Mother was a strict person who was more focused on things like survival and getting far in life."

He began to eat some of the bread, his face lit up when he tasted the delicious food. Starvation had been a part of his life for so long that even when he had food available, he forgot to have dinner or a breakfast. Wesley still kept up his manners but it was clear that he was enjoying it immensely. Berries and nuts were hard to compare to a fully cooked meal.

"Your mother mentioned you did jobs." Wesley said, "What kind, if its alright to ask?….Are you a pirate?"

The last part was a bit more playful. He didn't really believe that Hana was a pirate, since that would mean she had a ship. But after the way she took the blanket it was clear to him that she worked somewhere in the stealing area. Not that he minded, since stealing for a survival was not a terrible evil crime. Its just what some needed to do to help keep themselves alive.

“Aye, always someone to return to. Angela can be a bit much but she is a good woman. She would leave a conclave meeting if it meant appeasing her children. Not that they would let her. Angela’s job in the world is important to her children. It’s why they all leave the nest and learn to protect themselves. So that she doesn’t have to fuss over them.”

Angela smiled large when Wesley told her that he would convince Hana to come to see her. “I would very much appreciate that. She came to my wedding not that long ago but didn’t stay long after the ceremony. I imagine she was in the middle of a job. You are a very thoughtful young man and not many people are like that these days.”

When he finally got back to Hana he would find her asleep next to the fire. She had managed to steal another blanket and she was happily drooling on her arm. She woke up to the sound of his approach and she wiped the drool off herself. “Well, that’s certainly embarrassing. I’m actually surprised you came back… I forgot to mention how Ma can get.”

She took the clothes and got changed right there. She wasn’t a shy thing because she was taught it was normal for shifter creatures to be nude. That and she could felt like she could really trust Wesley. “Dated a shifter who was three times my senior once. He couldn’t handle Ma because she was asking all sorts of questions… Please tell me she didn’t ask you if you would put pups in me… That’s the worst one. I normally get dumped after that.”

Hana braided her hair and threw it over her shoulder. She had on a loose green tunic and traveling pants now. The food was next as she divided it between the two. “The food is made from Ma’s gardens. Smells great like usual. All of them use Ma’s recipes.” She handed a plate up to Wesley. “I really am sorry about that… Ma worries a lot about us.”

"Pups?!" He questioned dazed by the whirlwind that was Angela.

Luckily, he was saved by Lady Fraeya who had placed him behind her where Angela would have a harder time reaching him. A small sigh of relief escaped his lips, as he had finally be freed from the embarrassment. And then Lady Angela continued on like nothing ever happened! She left through the portal to get some clothes for Hana. Meanwhile, Lady Fraeya had turned over to him to apologize.

"Oh, its alright." He said with a small smile, "It was…surprising but I'm glad she has a mother like Miss Angela. Hana will always have someone who loves her."

Out of everybody's names, he felt more comfortable saying Hana's, even though he hadn't known her for all that long. It didn't take long before Angela returned with some clothes and a pair of boots. He carefully took the clothes and nodded to Angela's suggestion of food. He silently hoped that Hana was fine on her own in the cave. He was less worried about the hunters, since Hana seemed more than capable herself, and more worried about the silence that could get to a person. He grabbed some food that was packed into a little box then waved goodbye to Fraeya and Angela. Then he stopped for a moment and looked towards Angela.

"Miss Angela, I'll see if I can convince Hana to give you a visit." He said, "I can't guarantee it'll work but I promise to try!"

He gave them a little smile then left the building to head back to the cave. Wesley did feel glad to take a break from the temple and Angela but out of all the people he'd met, she wasn't the worst. After some traveling, he finally returned to Hana and the little hideout. Before entering, he searched the area to see if it was safe before entering the cave. Wesley hoped that she would like the clothes.

"Hana? I'm back." He said, "I got the clothes and they gave us some food to! I put it in the boxes. It was an…interesting trip."

See, Angela had class and elegance everywhere but when it came to her children. It was more like a running circus when something happened and Angela had finally calmed down as if nothing happened. She was still hugging Wesley to her. “Not married?”

Fraeya had her hand to her forehead, “I tried to tell you that but you didn’t want to hear it.”

“Did you put pups in her at least? I’ve been trying to get grandchildren recently,” Angela blinked a bit now completely calmed down with the waterworks stopped.

Fraeya facepalmed even harder and took Wesley from Angela and put him behind her. “I’m pretty sure they only just met.”

“I’ve had children with men who I’ve just met and he’s cute. What’s wrong with him? Why doesn’t Hana choose him?”

“Because the last boyfriend she had met you,” Fraeya crossed her arms.

“I’m hurt,” Angela faked a pout. “Now, clothes.” Like nothing ever happened and Fraeya rolled her eyes.

“I’m sorry about that Wesley. She is over the top.”

Angela had left into the portal and came back out with clothing and a pair of boots. “Please, make sure to bring back some food with you as well. I know that hunting is what she is good at but a warm meal from the church won’t hurt either of you. Freshly baked bread and some freshly squeezed juice.” She reached over and patted Wesley in the head.

"Yes, that would be her." Wesley said, "She's at a cave in the Viren forest."

Fraeya then commanded him to wait before she left through a portal. He shuffled his feet and waited for a few moments but remained in the same spot. He was told not to move so he didn't. It didn't take long before a beautiful redhead came stampeding out. The color from Wesley's face drained as he realized that THIS woman was Hana's mother. A goddess?! Then he realized how doomed he was. The Goddess of Love was famous for being a mother and a mother bear. Once she found out he was naked with her daughter, he would be dead for sure. He watched as she ran around the room, looking all over for her daughter. The apologetic look from Fraeya did not help his nerves.

Then Fraeya revealed that he had been sent by Hana. Suddenly a tearful Angela took hold of him by the shoulders and began interrogating him. He was still in shock and she was too fast for him to answer properly. He opened his mouth to explain that she was fine and by a fire before Fraeya pointed out the obvious. Wesley closed his mouth. Then Angela asked if she was okay. Before he could respond, she asked if he married Hana. His face became flustered as he processed what she had just asked!

"W-what?!" He asked in surprise.

Fraeya once again came to his defense and tried her best to calm down Angela. But it only seemed to make things worse as Wesley found himself being hugged by the goddess.

"S-son in law?!" His face was a scarlet red, "Miss Angela, you have the wrong idea! We aren't married!"

Now he understood why he was sent instead. This small task was turning out to be more dangerous than he expected.

“Did you say Hana? Blonde girl with miss-matched eyes?” Fraeya directed him with her hands to her eyes for a moment. “Oh, boy… I can tell her mother. Stay right here.” Fraeya opened a portal and left for a few moments.

A whirlwind happened after that. A beautiful redhead came stampeding out. “HANA! HANA,” Angela was running all over and looking underthings. Fraeya came back and held an apologetic look to Wesley.

“My lady… Hana isn’t here. She sent a boy in her stead,” Fraeya motioned towards Wesley.

Angela who had tears in her eyes ran over and took hold of Wesley by the shoulders. “Is she alright? Is my daughter alright? SHE HASN’T BEEN HOME IN THREE LONG MONTHS?! Now, she is alone in the cold Virens.”

“My lady, it is quite warm outside and you taught your daughter how to survive on the lands as a half lycanthrope… She just needs clothes.”

“I TAUGHT HER TO SHIFT AFTER GETTING NAKED. Is she okay? Did someone try to hurt her?” Then it dawned on her. “DID YOU RUN AWAY AND MARRY MY DAUGHTER?!”

“LADY ANGELA, CALM DOWN. You are going to scare this boy. Lady Hana seems fine but you need to calm down. No wonder she won’t come home more,” Fraeya huffed and Angela hugged Wesley to her.

“Rude, my son-in-law will defend me. Won’t you?”

After being reassured by Hana and receiving her directions, he began to travel to the Vilpamolan building. He was surprised when she described the building as being large and having pristine stained glass. Maybe her parents were rich? Or that her mother worked for whoever owned the building? He managed to get to the city without any sudden surprises. A few minutes and catcalls later, he arrived at the tall white building that Hana mentioned. Wesley saw the beautiful garden and was tempted to pick some more for Hana in case she needed more medical herbs. But he didn't touch them since they didn't belong to him. He approached one of the clergy members.

"Excuse me, may I speak to Miss Freaya?" He asked politely.

The clergy explained that the lady was inside so he entered the building. He tried to pretend he was in normal clothes as he followed the clergy member to the snow elf. People seemed to be running about, going from one place to another with a variety of objects. The elf woman noticed his pathetic blanket wrapped around his waist and guessed that he needed clothes and something else. Before he could explain himself, he was being handed clothes and directed towards the changing room. He changed his clothes and folded the blanket, intending to keep it since it was a gift from Hana. His shirt was a cyan tunic and his pants were brown. Simple clothes but it did its job. Stepping outside the changing room, he approached Lady Freaya again.

"Thank you for the clothes Lady Freaya" He said, "I'm here because Hana lost her clothes and would like some replacements. And if you want I can pay for mine."

Wesley couldn't pay for his own clothes. He lacked any form of cash or anything that was worth something. These clothes and the blanket had become all of his possessions. But he would find a way to give them coin if they wanted it. He remembered to say exactly what Hana told him to say. He was under the assumption that Hana's mother was a friend of Lady Freaya and that she was a priestess of some sort.

It was cute how he worried about her. “I’ve been by myself for a few years now. I’ll be fine Wesley. I can survive for a while without you here to protect me,” she let out a giggle before giving him directions.

“Go down by the docks but then upswing to the left towards the market place… You can’t miss it. It’s the biggest white building in all of Vilpamolan. It has pristine stained glass.”

Sure enough, it was the biggest building that was white. No, it was the only white building all of Vilpamolan. There was a large flower garden outside of it that a few clergy members were watering. “You want Lady Fraeya? She is inside. She is the snow elf.”

Snow elves had almost snow-like skin and even more dazzling white hair. She was giving a short blessing as the clergy member brought Wesley in. There were people everywhere getting treatment, food, or blessings. “This young man was looking for you Cardinal Fraeya.”

The woman took a look at his clothing and tilted her head. “Lycanthrope who shredded is clothing? We should have clothing for you but judging by that look on your face… You have a request for the Church of the Mother?” Another clergy member came over with clothes and offered them to Wesley. "Get changed in that room over there and then tell me what you wish us to handle. I promise you that we will do it to our best ability."

His face became extremely red when Hana moved closer. He hadn't expected to get close to a naked woman in a cave today, not that he disliked it. Hana was smiling and seemed to be happy at the fact he would do this for her. All his concerns about the journey were gone. He got to make Hana smile. That was enough. She left the cave for a few moments then brought back a blanket and nudged it to him. Wesley picked up the blanket and wrapped it around his waist to cover his bottom half. He tied the ends together in a knot and successfully covered himself.

"Hey its kinda like one of those kilt things." He said with a smile before growing more serious, "Are you going to be okay on your own? I'm sure you could outsmart those idiots but…"

He felt slightly guilty for leaving her, even if it was for a few moments. After all a trip to the city couldn't possibly be as bad as staying here by herself. What if she got lonely? What if it rained? Wesley pushed those thoughts out of his mind. He had to focus on the mission at hand. He would probably be sent to a small little cottage where there wasn't a lot of people around. He could imagine what her mother was like. An elderly woman sitting by the fire, waiting to hear from her daughter.

"Oh and how do I get there?" He asked sheepishly.

He should have asked that beforehand but there wasn't any harm done.

Hana blushed a little at his words. Most of the time she kept to herself and men hitting on her were far and few. Wesley seemed like a nice guy and she was sure he hadn’t even looked down at her yet to realize the situation she was in. That meant he was a really nice guy on top of it.

“Oh, I’ve met cursed people too. It’s alright I’m not scared! I’ve met lots of people in my life. You would be amazed at all the people in the world Wesley!” If only he knew just how she had been able to meet that many people.

Hana perked up and got closer to Wesley. “REALLY?! Thank you! It’s super safe I promise. You are actually going to a church. It’s the largest cathedral in Vilpamolan. It’s white and has gold trim. You can’t miss it in a dark city like Vilpamolan. Ask for Freya, she’s the cardinal of the church. She’ll get in contact with my mom and get my clothes. Just make sure to tell her ‘Hana lost her clothes and would like some replacements.’ They should have some for you too!”

That was when she noticed he had lost his clothes too. “Hold on, I have an idea,” she shifted and left the cave. It was ten minutes after that when she came back. In her mouth was a blanket. “I stole it,” She nudged it to him. “Cover yourself up with this when you go into Vilpamolan. The city is full of werewolves they won’t even question it.”

He suppressed his own laughter into a smile when he saw her face after she began chewing. Her story about the rabbit and the poison made him calm down a little more. If she was uncomfortable around him, she wouldn't have told that story. Wesley began picking up the stones and dried leafs around the cave for the campfire but he was focused on her. But instead of looking downwards, he was observing her eyes. The mismatched color of her eyes was unique and beautiful.

"I think the main cool thing about that story was you." Wesley said before his face grew red.

He didn't mean to say it like that. Now it sounded like he was hitting on her! Quickly turning away, he quietly continued his work and began to build the fire at the center, where they wouldn't have to be as close to the entrance. She began to talk about her naked body, which made him blush a little more, but the conversation shifted to his wolf form. He didn't know the best way to describe his….condition.

"It's a curse…sorta. I guess its like those scars you get after a battle. Only for a curse." He tried to explain.

Wesley was careful to keep the major details to himself. He didn't want to scare her and some of the parts were still too soon for him to talk about. Hana then began talking about getting clothes from Vilpamolan. He had been there before but as a wolf monster. Wesley didn't know when or even what he did, since his memories of being cursed were scattered.

"I can do that." He said with a small smile, "Besides I've never met a pirate before. It could be interesting! Who would I be contacting?"

Despite everything, Wesley was still an innocent village guy at heart. He'd never met pirates, done any real battles with a sword, or had even taken down a monster before. The only thing that was special about his life was getting cursed. Yet he was fine with taking a job like this. It could be exciting! Besides…he also needed to get some clothes for himself.

Hana had waited and watched for the hunters to go past them. Stupid animals didn’t even bring hunting dogs with them. “Thank goodness,” Hana slid down the wall of the cave and sat for a moment. There was laughter as she saw the boy transform back. She needed that. Taking the flowers she smirked up at him. “Thank you, not as weird as some of the stuff I’ve seen I promise.”

She took the stems and broke the flowers apart before chewing on them and making a gross paste with her canines. The look on her face must have been hysterical because boy did it not taste great to her. “I can’t remember the last time I had something like this in my mouth… It might have been that rabbit from Mo’Mey… It had coated itself in this toxic plant so when I finally got it…” She made a face at Wesley. “Ma had to spend a week getting the poison out of my system.”

She stood up after applying the marigold and smirked. “They were actually after me. I had no idea I was around another wolf or I would have led them away from you.” The guy was cute and she walked around him and checked him out, for safety was what she told herself. “It’s nice to meet you, Wesley. I’m golden. I just got tricked by a buyer to steal back gold that a bunch of thieves had taken. Come to find out they were werewolf hunters. Isn’t that cool?”

She motioned at her naked body and huffed. “Normally, I get naked before I shift. I really liked that outfit. It was cute and Mother had gotten it for me from Mamlak.” She titled her head a bit. “You didn’t shift back when we came in… Is it because of your wolf form? I apologize if I’m stepping over my boundaries. I’m just a bit curious about people like you…”

Finding sticks right outside the cave carefully she came back and helped Wesley start a fire. “Mind if I send you into town to a place that can get me clothes that fit me? I know some people in Vilpamolan… It’s not that far from here. If pirates are your thing… If you want to… That is. I won't make you."

He felt himself being dragged by a stranger. Realizing that he couldn't hesitate, he sprang into a run and followed her lead. He could see the cave and was desperately running to get to safety. He slid into the cave just in time and paused to listen for the hunters. After a few moments, he looked over to his companion, only to see her in her human form. She was beautiful, with long curls and lovely pair of eyes. Her eyes had two different colors, which fascinated Wesley. Unable to transform back, he remained in his wolf form and began sniffing around the cave.

A smell of some flowers drifted to his nose. Around the edge of the cave was a variety of fresh marigolds. He snatched a few with his sharp teeth before presenting it to Hana. As his heart calmed down, the shadows of the cave surrounded him then melted away to reveal a 20 year old man. Wesley, realizing that he was still holding the flower in his mouth, quickly stood up and wiped down the stem with his shirt.

"Sorry!" He said with a flustered face, "That was probably weird. Um, this should help with disinfecting cuts. Me and my- I mean I've used it a lot in the past."

Wesley handed the flower over to her, the flower still had its roots connected since picking things up with teeth rarely led to a clean cut. He began looking around the cave for some stones to begin building a proper camefire. Wesley's eyes and ears were constantly alert even though the threat should have been gone.

"Oh right. I forgot. I'm Wesley." He said quickly realizing how rude he was being, "Thanks for saving me. If it hadn't been for you they….I'd better stop rambling. So um, how are you?"

Conversation was not his strongest skill. Normally he wouldn't have tried but the fact that she saved his life made him want to try harder. And maybe the fact that she was very pretty. That could have had something to do with it.

The Virens forest was a good place for anyone who wanted to get lost. Pirates, ruffians, and anyone with stolen treasure. The jiggling coin she had while she was running was sure part of the problem. “Oh man, I really don’t want to have to throw this.” Now, it wasn’t the men’s treasure. It wasn’t even hers. She had been hired by a family to retrieve it from a group of bandits. The area had been clear when she sneaked in but the moment she stepped out she found herself surrounded.

“You’re a bloody wolf in human skin!” The men were chanting.

Well, shit she had been actually been lured into a trap. So, this would be her payment and she managed to kill the first wave.

When she realized she was outnumbered she went on the run. Shifting had been easy and the coins were on her back. There were arrows going past her and luckily she was nimble. She looked behind her as her feet had her traveling faster than they could keep up.

THUD

“Oww,” she managed to get out with a wobble. She saw the other wolf and she was scared for a moment but she realized he was in just as much trouble. “LOOK OUT!” She bucked him from his spot with ease as an arrow grazed her leg. “COME ON!” She took his ear and pulled. “They’ll catch us!”

She was a sandy color when the sun went through the thick leaves. Her eyes were two different colors. “I know a cave!” She dragged him and pulled him along until they could run. She wasn’t about to leave a wolf alone in this mess. She got him into the cave and dropped the bag of gold on the ground. Her form shifted back having lost the clothing she had been weaving.

Long blonde curls were free and down to her hips as she leaned into the cave wall. She held a finger up listening. “Okay, they are gone… but we’ll have to stay here for a while.” She turned to her new wolf companion. “I’m Hana but we should probably get a fire going. It will be cold soon.” Her arm was still bleeding but at least she hadn't been hit with anything silver. This would heal.

The rays of light shone through the trees and warmed Wesley's face as he rested on the grass. The animals were loud, with the birds tweeting and the local doe gossiping about which stags were the best. It had been a long time since he had felt this peaceful. In the distance, he heard the sounds of footprints. They were heavy and didn't bother avoiding sticks and leaves. A hand pulled at Wesley's shirt and yanked him to his feet. There were three men, each of them holding a weapon and had a scar of some sort. The one in the middle, who had a grip on Wesley, was holding a hunting list. Wesley's name was on it along with a few other names.

"Are you that cursed boy Wesla?" The man asked.

"N-no." Wesley said, alarmed at the weaponry the men were holding.

"You look like him." Another hunter spoke.

"Yeah it is him! Look at the shadows!" Someone else said.

Wesley's eyes grew wide as he began to panic. His heart beated faster and faster as he realized there was no escape. The shadows underneath them began crawling up Wesley's legs and arms as his stress grew. The hunter dropped him and pointed out his sword. Pushing himself to his feet, Wesley bolted away from the hunters. There were more than just three. He could hear them shouting orders to each other and alerting the whole forest. It seemed that they were hunting for more than just him. Wesley jumped over a boulder and kept running, not paying attention to the direction he was taking.

The shadows on his legs and arms spread around his body until it enveloped him entirely. His body morphed from the young man into a wolf-like monster. The monster had two horns on his head, pure white eyes without irises, and a long white tongue. Now on all fours, he was able to speed through the forest at a faster pace. His head turned back to see if anybody was chasing him. The second he looked, he smacked headfirst into another person. Wesley wobbled for a moment before collapsing on the ground with a thud.
