Snow covered the trees of the forest and the wind blew fiercely, carrying millions of snowflakes with it. A small child was hiking through the snow, trying her best to make way through the icy flakes that was thrown at her face. Although Dala had a heavy coat, scarf, and boots, she still felt the freezing temperatures. The world around her was white and it took everything out of her to just keep herself from getting blown about by the winds. The trees helped cut the wind down, if she was in the Bohar Plains she knew that she wouldn't have had a chance. All the child could do was bow her head until her chin touched her chest and to keep walking. The footprints in the snow were quickly covered up and the weather was slowly becoming worse. She knew better than to try her luck getting through the storm. The little girl looked desperately around, trying to find some sort of shelter.

In the distance, almost hidden among the trees, was a small cabin. The only reason why she was able to see it at all was because the windows were reflective. Otherwise, she would have assumed it was just some trees. Dala trudged through the heavy snow and eventually made her way to the cabin. The door was shut but wasn't locked. Without thinking, the child shoved the door open. To her surprise, there was nobody inside the room. There was a bed, a fireplace, cauldron, chest, and two comfy chairs but there wasn't anybody inside. The little girl quickly slammed the door closed behind her and began to look around. It was dark inside the cabin, as there weren't any candles or lanterns to light. Dala walked over to the fireplace and knelt down in front of it. Next to the fireplace was a stack of old but usable firewood. She grabbed two logs and placed it in a fireplace. Then she reached into her bag and pulled out some dry leaves that she had collected before the storm.

After putting the leaves on the logs, she reached into her satchel again and pulled out a box of matches. Her hands shook from the cold and she had to steady her hands before she was able to get a small flame. She lit the leafs on fire then dropped the matchstick into the fireplace. In a matter of moments, a small fire had begun. The child stayed close to the fire to keep herself warm but kept far enough to not get burned. Her eyes glanced to the windows that showed the snow storm raging on. It was clear that going outside wasn't an option unless she really wanted to turn into an icicle.

"Fucking snow."
The child muttered to herself.
