Faeylen raced through the forest at an unmatched speed, just as her father had taught her. She hurtled over bushes, swung on reachable branches, and ducked under obstacles intending to stop her in her tracks. She knew this forest. The Virens Forest was incredibly difficult to navigate, sometimes even impossible, but an experienced guide could do a traveler good. Faeylen had been raised to be kind to anyone who would be kind to her, but she had also learned to shoot first and ask questions later.

In the Virens Forest, there wasn't too much action that took place, mainly wanderers who wandered a bit too far, but every now and then, there was an event or person or creature that made her chosen job more fulfilling than she had imagined.

Faeylen's gentle footing and knowledge of the forest gave her an advantage when it came to being stealthy. She was able to run and jump and skip in complete silence, while most couldn't take more than a step without snapping a twig, or more embarrassingly, falling into a bush. That's exactly what she heard.

Twig snapped, she thought, coming to a fast stop. She jumped straight up, grabbing hold of a low branch and pulling herself up. Crouching on the branches, she jumped from treetop to treetop until finally discovering the cause of the noise. Placing an arrow on her bowstring, she aimed directly in front of the feet of the figure in the hooded cloak.

Thwang!

The arrow released and landed in front of the figure, catching their attention. "Identify yourself!" She demanded, placing another arrow on the string and drawing it back, aimed at the figure.

Gale had walked distractedly, looking up at the crimson leaves. They were beautiful like flames and the sunset painted into color. Then the whirl of the winds told that something was coming her way. She wasn't careful of where she walked, so naturally a few twigs were broken underfoot. Her sash had been wrapped about her head like a shawl, and the long ends might have resembled the trail of a cloak. She quickly moved aside as the first arrow landed at her feet. Then, the one who had let it fly demanded. "Identify yourself!" The dream-walker whirled around in a circle, trying to see where it might have come from. All she could see was red and the trunks of brown, but no sign of the arrow's origin.

"I am Gale, and I have come by here as I wandered along the mountains. Am I facing you? I cannot tell from where you are." Where was the voice coming from? Was it to the side, no it must be behind. Or was it in front, but off center? She stood with her hands folded, as her sash slid down from her head to her shoulders. Her hair was as bright as the Virens leaves themselves, with a tinge more orange than red.

"Be as swift as the wind, as silent as the forest, fierce like fire, and immovable like a mountain."

She was dozing off in the uppermost branches of a tree, when out of no-where, the tree began to shake with the weight of someone climbing up. She closed her eyes and held her breath, praying it wasn't malicious. She heard a thwang as if someone let loose an arrow and winced.  "Identify yourself" she heard a female voice ring through the silence. She opened her eyes as confusion crossed her mind, and saw a tall girl, with wavy light hair, and armor that reminded her of a tree. She was pointing an arrow at another figure on the ground

The other figure also appeared to be a girl, but with bright orange hair, and a glazed look in her eyes.

Feyre let out a sigh of relief, thanking anything out there that it was just some girls rather than a soldier or a monster.

She pulled herself to her feet as quietly as possible, and adjusted the skirt of her simple linen riding gown, and proceeded to leap from the tree with the grace of a Fae. She landed with one knee on the ground and the other leg stretched beside her, right between the women, and quickly stood up, brushing dirt off her dress.

"Sorry to interrupt ladies" she said in a sing song voice and a smirk. "You two interrupted my nap with all that hollering, and I really must be on my way"
