Pick smiled through the grime. "I never said we'd fight them. We're going sneak the old geezer out! I'm not interested in fighting them, and I'm certainly not diving in any mouths again."

He tried wiping off the goop that covered him, but ended up just sort of moving it around as it clung to him.

"I'm going to need new clothes." He said beginning to laugh.

Tea was breathing heavy, he used too much chi in that one attack, but he was glad to see Pick alive. He was though, discouraged by Pick's information, "Pick, you're one damn stubborn elf, but this isn't a fight we can win." He then turned to Cedric, "And you say 'this dragon' like there is only one, did you see how many there were? FIVE, and we barely managed to kill one!" Tea paced back and forth.

He turned to Pick about to tell him let's just go, but he could see his determination in his eyes, "Fine, I'll go, cause I know you won't turn around, and you'll get yourself killed in those mountains." Tea sighed, "But we better get you clean first, don't want to accidentally ignite you." Tea looked inside the ruined house, everything was destroyed, Tea was able to find his backpack, though anything breakable was destroyed inside. "I hope Claribel and Cinnamon are having better luck." he said to himself.

Pick stood in a pile of vomit and blood as the young dragon collapsed behind him. He nodded at Cedric, "We need to track down the others and go free Drysl. This was my fault, and I need to make it right." Pick said dryly, "Dragons couldn't be too hard to track right? Just look to the sky."

Shaking off as much bile as he could he made for a tree and attempted to climb it. Still drenched in ick, he slipped and fell after making it halfway up. He then stood and began to climb again. He had to find Where the dragons were taking Drysl. He eventually
Made it to the top and searched the sky. He spotted them flying towards the Ancense Mountains. They were almost there.

"They are headed toward the mountains!" He reported from the tree top. He scurried down to meet his friends. "I hate think what they'll do to him."

[OOC: I imagine the dragons would be going off towards the Ancense Ruins in the mountains. Just makes sense to me because dragons. I haven't been able to find Drysl's thread if he made one. If Drysl doesn't want them going there he's obviously free to change it. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but I suggest we go there next after we wrap things up here.]

Everything was moving so quickly

Cedric remembered that Dragons had flammable stomach acids, so he lit up a bolt, and and fired it
at the dragon's stomach

"GET DOWN!" Cedric shouted to everyone.

The dragon died, but who knows what the older dragon would do to them?

He could leave this world as a pile of dragon feces, or he could end his own life, as hiding won't do any help.

"We need to confront this dragon"

Author: Arcane Trickster, Posted: Wed Mar 1, 2017 9:52 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Pick slid down the monster's throat. He instantly regretted his decision. This was the one thing he was trying to avoid, and now here he was restrained and being devoured. The natural movement of the esophagus was crushing him. He didn't know how much longer he could hold on. He tried to get himself lodged in the dragon's throat, but to no avail. He wasn't strong enough.

The mushroom Pick had rubbed on himself hours earlier began to work immediately, but not as well as he had hoped. It was no longer potent enough to poison the dragon, but it did give her a burning sensation all the way down. Vryli began to cough and sputter. The sensation lingered, but she was able to continue fighting.

"Oooo, the pointed ear one wasss a little hot."

She smiled a toothy grin as she looked to Tea and advanced towards him.

Pick finally entered the belly of the beast and landed face first in stomach acid. Partially digested food floated around him including, but not limited to a few sheep, and half a man.  He stood hastily, but was still shoulder deep in the fluid. The noxious fumes made him dizzy. He gripped his dagger. There was no way he was going to be this beast's dinner. He plunged his dagger into the dragon's stomach lining and ripped downwards. Acid began spilling out of the slit Pick had made, and was emptying into a nearby body cavity.

The dragon lurched forward and began throwing up. Pick was lifted from the stomach and back through the dragon's throat. He then spilled out of its mouth.

Tea was in shock by the whole event that took place, he fell on his back from the exploding house. There was fear in the monks eyes, he didn't know what to do, such large beast couldn't be stopped.

Pick took a stand though, his courage inspired Tea to stand as well. "Alright Pick whats the-" Tea couldn't finish his question, the monks eyes narrowed and his heart sank when he witness his friend being eaten. Without thinking he dashed to the dragon, strengthening himself as he ran, his agility seemed to be excessive as well, he was even using his chi to increase his speed. But the dragons eyes followed the half-elf, she laughed at him, "Sssspeed wont help you child." Vryli words angered Tea further.

He gain some distance behind the dragon, and ran swiftly toward one of her back legs, once he got half way there he jumped, both arms forward like he was flying. He streamed fire from his feet, the flames seemed larger than before, as he flew he began spinning. Tea was shouting as he flew, and struck Vryli behind the knee. Vryli shouted in pain but did not fall, she twist around knocking Tea away, then her wings began flapping. Winds were pushing Tea back, he did his best to hold his ground but it wasn't enough. Stumbling away, Tea hit the base of a tree, "Don't ever think I will go down that eassssy." She said mocking him.

Pick stood. It was his fault this happened. He had to do something, anything. His flesh still tingled. The mushrooms! Perhaps there was enough still on him to poison her. He looked to Tea and Cedric, and then at the dragon. He was frightened, but with all the courage he could muster he spoke.

"Hey, how do your siblings write their names? Do they have to write all the S's? or do you guys just have some kind of speech impediment?" As he spoke he walked towards the dragon. Waiting for a moment to jump into her mouth. Verlo growled at the elf with anger dripping from her tongue. If he could bypass the teeth he was in the clear. He preferred to come out of this alive. Dagger drawn he continued to taunt the dragon.

"Ah that doesn't matter, it certainly doesn't seem to get in the way of your eating." He patted his own belly, "me? I could use a good meal or two what do you think?" He grinned that devilish grin of his as the dragon's mouth closed around him.

Drysl looked gazed in sadness as the forest with his obliterated house dissapeared from below and into the distance as the dragon carried him along in its claws. He thought about this master he was being carried off to go see, a feeling of dread passed over him.

Author: CinnamonCat, Posted: Wed Mar 1, 2017 8:21 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

The singing from the chest was now free it grew loud and stretched out from the forest in all directions. Then a new sound a loud deep roar that shook the ground and the trees. It drowned out the singing, a dark shadow passed over Drysl and the others, and four large silver dragons swooped down from above into the forest. They landed with a crashing boom around Drysl and the others knocking over trees in the process. Then a fifth Dragon swooped down from above. This one was covered In black glistening scaled, and was larger than the four silver dragons combined. He landed on Drysl's house, the house groaned under the weight and then exploded in a shower of wood splinters as the Dragons weight crushed the house. The Dragon walked up to Drysl and the others, "Ssssso thissss issss where you've been hiding it the lasssst few hundred yearsssss Drssssssyl. Got tired of hiding did you? Finally realized how wissssse it would be to let itsssss sssssssong call to me." The Largest black dragon said in a deep rumble voices he then looked at Pick, Tea and Cedric and said "Oh and look you even provided sssssome sssssnackssss, how kind." The four silver dragons looked upon Pick, Tea and Cedric hungrily, drool running from their maws. The large black Dragon looked back to Drysl "I ssssshould punish you for sssssstealing it, but the massssster gave me inssssstructionsssss not too. He wantssssss to do it and he'll not be merciful" The Dragon chuckled as he said this then he turned and looked at the four silver dragons and said "ssssaren, vissssscith, and kylne come with me back to the masssster and kylne you carry Dryssssssl." He then looked at the fourth silver Dragon and said "Vryli my daughter, enjoy thesssssse morsssssselssss you've earned a tassssssty sssssssnack." With that the big black dragon leapt off the ground carrying the singing chest in its mouth, with the two other dragons, and the one now carrying Drysl in its claws. They flew off out of the forest and out of sight. Drysl's house was gone it was a spread of wood splinters all over the ground several of the trees had been knocked over when the dragons landed it was now a large clear opening amounts the trees with Cedric, Pick, Tea and the last dragon Vryli in the center. The remaining dragon Vryli looked at the others and said "Sssssso who should I eat firssssst."

"I can't stand this anymore!" Cedric shouted as he was loading his crossbow,

"Give the word and I'll tear this thing to pieces!" Cedric shouted, taking aim at the chest

Cedric was caught up with what happened the day before, and what happened this morning and now.

Pick made up his mind, it was easier to bury a small chest than a large one right? His curiosity got the better of him and he decided to take advantage of the situation. While Tea distracted the old man Pick kicked open the chest and removed the smaller chest he quickly examined it. There had to be a seam it made no sense for there to not to be a seam. What was it? The living dragons licked their tounges at him.

Suddenly, fear gripped him and he tossed it into the hole he had started. It was about 5 inches deep and the Chest stuck out of the hole.

"I-I'm sorry" he said finally, "I'm so sorry. I-I didn't know."

Tea was a little irritated by Drysl's answer, "Yes, I saw what happened ealier, but I think it's better you tell now why we should be worried." Tea wanted to understand the weight of the situation, having vague unnamed threats doesn't help him.

Tea didn't want to admit it, but truthfully he did want to know what really was in the chest, only for the sake of knowing how he should help his friends if things go bad like yesterday had been, "What is the singing about, who will hear it?" Tea continued to interrogate Drysl.

Author: Drysl, Posted: Tue Feb 28, 2017 11:02 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Drysl turned to Tea and said "Pick opened the chest and let the song out, when I slammed the lid shut it cracked and the song can still be heard. Now we're all in danger, I'll explain more inside once we have this chest buried."

Author: Arcane Trickster, Posted: Tue Feb 28, 2017 10:26 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Pick began digging. The voice from the chest rattled him in a way he couldn't quite explain. It made him deeply uncomfortable. He knew what was inside should never be let out, and yet he still wanted to see what it was. It began to eat at him. He might never know. Still he dug, more afraid of Drysl than he was curious about the small chest within the one he opened. Perhaps he would be told the contents if he waited.

The song drifted through the woods, and Pick began to dig slower. His still young elvish mind was on a track, and he couldn't be derailed. It was getting harder and harder to focus on the task at hand. Whether this was the product of the song's possible influence on him or his reckless youth taking over was unsure. He blamed the song regardless.

Pick stopped digging. Could he do it? Surely the small chest wasn't that heavy. He could grab it and run out of here and take it to Adeluna City before Drysl even knew what happened. He shook his head in an attempt to free himself from this train of thought, but did not continue digging.

Author: The_Pasty, Posted: Tue Feb 28, 2017 10:01 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Tea looked around unsure of what was going on, "Okay Drysl, what exactly is going on, whats in the chest?" Tea asked. He was a little stressed, and didn't know how to help.

Author: Drysl, Posted: Tue Feb 28, 2017 9:30 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Drysl stop "Here should be good" he said he then grabbed his two shovels which he used for gardening and threw them to the Cedric and Pick and said. "ok quick dig we have to burry it! Before they hear it!" Drysl's heart was pounding sweat dripped down his face, he was nervous, he could still hear the singing through the crack in the lid. Hopefully if they buried the chest it would not be heard.

Author: Nyromix, Posted: Tue Feb 28, 2017 12:28 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Cedric was getting ready to leave when he heard the commotion.

"What's going on, you guys?" Cedric asked

Cedric saw everyone carrying the locked chest outside.

"Wh- Why am I even questioning this?" Cedric said and helped carry the chest outside.

"What IS in this chest by the way?"

Author: Arcane Trickster, Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2017 4:15 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Pick was astonished at the speed of the old man. He stood as the heavy lid was slammed shut. As the room grew dark he found he could not see through it as normal. It frightened him. He helped the two others move the chest out. He was uncharacteristically silent the entire time.

Author: The_Pasty, Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2017 1:39 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Tea was asleep, soundly at that, but then music woke him, "Such a nice rhythm." He said with his opening and a smile on his face. Though the smile quickly became a concerning frown, "Pick wha-" Before he could finished his question, Drysl flew across his bed and to the chest, shutting it firmly. Everything had gone mad, Tea stood quickly taking a martial stance, there was so much movement he couldn't exactly focus.

Then everything became calm, he then heard Drysl speak, he listen carefully. "What in the gods nam-" And yet he still couldn't finish a sentence, Drysl commanded help to bury the chest. Tea took a side of the chest, "Welp let's hurry then, But I want answers." Tea stated

Author: Drysl, Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2017 1:21 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

The lid of the large chest was now open inside was of it was another Chest that fit perfectly inside of the large chest this new chest didn't have and visible locks or key holes it didn't even have a seam where the lid would separate from the box it just silver lined carvings of dragons all over with ruby eyes, there was also another peculiar thing about this chest there was singing coming from it, it was a woman's voice singing sweetly in a strange and long forgotten language the carved dragons all started coming alive and we're breaking free from the chest their glistening ruby eyes focusing on pick while their split tongues licked the air they rose up and crouched on the chest ready to spring out at pick. Drysl snapped awake at the sound of the singing he rushed over to the large chest and slammed the lid shut, the room suddenly went very dark as if it was night outside a strong gust was blowing around the house papers that were sitting on the desk were now flying everywhere the flame in the fireplace blazed like it was alive and excited Drysl's robe flapped wildly around in the wind and his eyes blazed with a firey anger as he stared at pick and said in a loud commanding voice"Child! " Drysl paused and he immediately calmed the wind stopped blowing the fire returned to its gentle flicker the papers settled and Drysl's eyes returned to their normal calmness Drysl sighed and mumbled to himself "their young and curious they don't understand. "He then said to pick in a stern voice "Do not open this chest under any circumstances, it's lock because of who would come should its contents be exposed it is too dangerous to not be locked away. This is the whole reason I live here deep in the woods by myself where no one goes, I live here to guard this chest and keep the world from the disaster that would occur should it ever be opened." Drysl then turned and looked back at the chest he could still hear the singing "but how?" He thought then he noticed the hairline crack in the lid from him slamming it shut. "Oh…" He said then shouted "Quick help me take this out side! We have to burry it now!"

Author: Arcane Trickster, Posted: Mon Feb 27, 2017 12:38 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Pick fell asleep, but woke up after a few hours. Being an elf, he only needed a few. Not like these humans. Though he was unsure on the sleep habits of half-elves. He was the first one up, and he had nothing to do, but look at the chest he wasn't supposed to open. What could be in there? Probably something that reminds Drysl of his past life before the forest or his secret to living so long. If that was the case Pick had to know. He couldn't stand having information being kept from him, real or imagined. He checked on Drysl to make sure he was still asleep.

Pick then moved silently to the chest, maybe I can just look through the key hole." He thought to himself. He crouched down, peered through the hole, and saw darkness and lock mechanics. Pick rolled his eyes at himself and took out his thieves tools. He double checked to make sure everyone was still asleep.

"Oh no I fell and my tools slipped into the key hole." He whispered to himself in mock surprise as he slid his lockpick into the keyhole of the lock. He pressed pin after pin and felt each one click into place. The lock popped open and he sat there a moment, preparing himself for whatever lie inside his chest. Pick took a deep breath and opened the chest.

Cinnamon lay resting on the blanket when it occurred to her that she had seen Claribel at all since they got to the house! She got up and lept up onto the window sill, and flicked the latch that held the window shut. Then she pushed the window open and jumped out. She looked around, and saw Claribel walking off with her pack on her shoulder. Cinnamon chased after her and "hey don't forget to take me with you! How are you supposed to teach me how to read if I'm not with you!" And with that Cinnamon left the others to accompany Claribel on a new adventure!

Claribel must have been totally out of it or something, I don't know, because, when she finally untangled herself, she had realized that she hadn't been listening to anyone who had run outside and run inside again and told their stories. She felt a sharp pain in her head which made her think she had been hit with a stone–if it weren't for the fact that no stone had been thrown at all. With her cloak finally untangled, she let out a soft sigh and pressed a hand to her head with a light healing spell.

"I'm just.. going to go," she whispered to herself as her eyes fell somewhere upon the ground, a finger lifted and pointed off in a random direction. She lifted her head, then drew in a deep breath to let it out in a determined huff, not one to feel sad for so long. "Let's see if we can't find that Duchy of Egjora!" The woman pulled her backpack a little tighter and turned to begin making her way off into the forest again.

Tea cleared his throat. "Well, my past isn't quiet as 'unfortunate', I was an orphan at the young of, well maybe days after birth. I was found by a tea plant near my temple in the Bohar plains. It was a single monk who found me, he took me to Master Jiemu the leader of sorts to the temple. The named me Tea due to the strange conditions of my appearance, the monks waited for my parents to retrieve me, but no one came. So the temple took me in as family, taught me the ways of Chi, and Chi in itself is a story. I wasn't exactly accepted at first, they didn't like half-elves, and the children mocked me. I could never understand why, but time grew on and I showed patience with them, except Quantou, nasty little brat he is. They eventually accepted me, I did have to help the temple sometimes, so that helped. But I had one unfortunate problem, I had a hard time learning Chi, after 13 years of training and nothing showed of it. The monks believed I am half High elf, a sub-race of elves that have better talent in magic over Chi, but Jiemu knew I could learn, 'Fall seven times, stand eight.' He would tell me. So Jiemu gave me an opportunity, I could leave the temple and let the world be my temporary master, but I cannot come back until I learn to use the four elements; Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. This is at a basic level of course, I will be taught to master the use of these elements at the temple. So I took the chance, I felt like this was my only chance. So a small ceremony was held, giving scrolls, provisions, and my bo staff. After two years of training in the mountains south of us, I was able to finally use fire through my Chi. And after another two years I do this consistently, cause for awhile it was it was only smoke. I was a little too anxious though and return too early, one thing lead to another, that lead to another," He turned looking at Pick outside with a grumpy face, then his gaze fell upon Cinnamon again, "which leads to where we are now. During my travels though, I found out why half-elves are unappreciated. Elves and Humanity only tolerate one another, but the commune of both people can be seen as outlandish or blasphemous. One would say I'm an abomination, a sin. The temple was kind because that was their way, but people of the city aren't bound to such rules, now Adeluna did not harm me in the traditional sense. Much like yours, it was emotional, I almost hated what I was, I couldn't blame the people though, but I shouldn't blame myself or my parents. I needed time to take these experiences and meditate on them, I think the sense of wrath and ferocity drove to me tap to fire. I finally understood fire, it was made to destroy, but also to restart, by burning out the weak and draining weeds, the bountiful plants can bear fruit and vegetables." Tea cleared his throat again, it was dry from talking for so long, he poured some mushroom tea, "That is my past, anything you'd like to ask?" He took a sip of the tea, then gave a disgusted face, "Ugh, taste like dirty water." Tea exclaimed.

Cinnamon ran back inside when Cedric opened the door she just heard the last part of their conversation where Drysl told Tea that everyone was welcome to stay she thought to herself "hmm yeah these people seem decent I think I'll stay for a while." She then turned to Tea and said "Hey you mint? Or leaf? Something like that I can't remember your name sorry, you were asking about me on the trek here. About how come I can talk? Well I didn't want to share because I didn't think I could trust any of you too much… But you all seem alright I guess. So I'll share." She paused and licked out a small feather stuck in her fur that she had missed and then sat on a blanket and thought while purring a little "mmm these are sooo soft." Cinnamon then resumed saying "Ok where to start. Um I guess I'll start with why I don't trust people… I used to be in a circus, and I wasn't treated very well. The circus people would dress me in ugly uncomfortable clothing, and then they'd put me in this little box, where people could pay money to. Poke me with sharp sticks and pull on my tail and it was painful and I couldn't defend myself. When they didn't have me in the box they had me in a pen fighting against small vicious dogs, snakes or other cats the circus called it the Arena Of Alexandria, and people would place bets on which animal would win. These fights never were to the death but some fights came close and I rarely won. One day the circus was attacked by a group of raiders they killed, burned and pillaged, everything. I took this opportunity to flee and I came to this forest  where I've lived for several years." She looked towards Drysl while saying to Tea "I had heard of this old guy, the other animals would speak of him. They called him The Forest, because he's as old as the forest they'd say. I never really listened to most of their conversations about him I always thought they were myths, how could a human live that long? I'd think to myself they never lived much past 80years old." Cinnamon paused then said "Sorry I'm getting sidetracked you wanted to know how I can talk… Well the answer is really I used to be human, well I kinda still am in a way I guess… When I was a little girl, my mother owned a museum, she used to sit and talk about the artifacts and teach me about their origins. She'd talk about the People that made them, and she talk about great battles they waged over them. I loved to hear the tales she'd tell. Then one day several new artifacts came in, I was so excited! I couldn't wait to learn all about them. I ran into the room and watched the men unload the crates and bring them inside, they then opened them up and I could see the beautiful relics. My mother then went outside to the wagon with the men to pay them while I stayed inside and looked at all the beautiful artifacts. I was so excited I ran my hand along a couple feeling the smooth surfaces, then I saw one it was a statue of a black cat with a silver bracelet, I liked this one and wondered at the story behind its origin. I touched the head of the statue, but when I did the room went dark and blurry then the cat statue came alive and it spoke to me angrily. It said Sacrifices of the beast for the man, Sacrifices of the beast for the children, Sacrifices of the little ones for Akir. Then the statue vanished I was confused but then it occurred to me that the room looked bigger and the artifacts were much taller and I thought that's weird, then I noticed the silver bracelet the statue had on was laying on the floor I went to pick it up, but my hand was no longer a hand it was a cat paw. I panicked and looked into one of the ancient mirrors that were on display. I had been turned into a cat. I panicked and tried to call out for help but all that came out was a meow I couldn't talk I was a cat and I was helpless, I ran over to the bracelet and started to examine it to see if I could find a hint as too how I could fix this, but my mother had walked back in and she saw me. She didn't know it was me though she though I was a stray cat that got in her house and she threw me outside. She then Started calling out for me she wanted to show me the new artifacts but I couldn't answer. I couldn't tell her what happend she called and called, then she searched and she couldn't find me after she got scared and she thought the men who brought the artifacts had stolen me. She had the whole village searching for me, the men were found and they had been hung because they were thought to have killed me. But I was never found though I was there the whole time. The helpless girl turned into a cat I watched over my mother for years often she'd cry. Then one year she got very sick and she died. The museum got sold off and I never saw that silver bracelet again. Over the years I retaught myself how to speak the human language, I already understood it and had been able to speak it when I was a human. So it was basically just a matter of learning how to speak it with a cats mouth." Cinnamon stretched out on the blanket and then continue. "After many years of being a cat I got used to it, I got used to eating dead things, killing small animals and licking my butt I learned that the hard way for along time I refused to lick my butt but it resulted in painful rashes from not being clean. Being a cat has many benefits though, I get to listen in on conversations without people realizing it, I can see in the dark, pets feel absolutely amazing, and being able to land safely if you fall from heights is nice too. I don't think if I somehow became human again that it would be very good id have a hard time readjusting to being human, holding me food with hands, the foods would taste strange, having to use lights to see where I'm going at night, all that and many other things would be hard to get used to again. I like being a cat I don't think I want to go back now, it's not like I have anything to go back too. So yeah that's my story." Cinnamon sat and licked her fur and waited to hear what Tea would say.

"Thank you for the help." Tea said with a light smile, he then checked his wound. "Doesn't seem infected." He thought to himself, so he put a light amount upon the scab. It tingled at first, but didn't seem to hurt.

Tea heard some sort of noise outside, then two things hit the ground one after another. After a few moments, Cinnamon was at the door. He got up and approached to the door, "There you go." He said opening it.

Drysl replied to Tea "Sorry I don't drink tea, just moss filtered water, also I have something a little better than night mushroom for your foot, I have Night Mushroom Jelly its a more concentrated form of the mushroom so its more potent." He then took a jar down from the shelf and tossed it to Tea. then continuing he said "Apply that directly to the injured area, though if that is infected then the mushroom jelly wont help much. It would need to be sterilized." Drysl then pulled two large heavy blankets out from under his bed, and threw them on the floor and said to everyone. "you can all stay for as long as you want, I only have the two blankets so you'll have to either share or take turns sleeping, sorry I don't usually get guests out here. but this is a real nice change." Drysl then yawned a long tired yawn and sat down on his bed and said "On that note I think i'm going to sleep for a bit, make yourselves at home and relax, and pass the message on to those outside for me would you?." and with that Drysl laid down on his bed and went to sleep.

Cedric went inside and grabbed his jacket, hat and mask.

"I'm gonna go take care of some things, I'll be back after lunch." Cedric said, putting on his jacket, hat and mask.

"I may return wounded and bloody, don't follow please" Cedric added

Tea notice Cinnamon running outside, his eyes followed her to the door. When he saw outside the sun was rising, "Wow, we stayed up for awhile." He said to himself. He opened his wraps, the wound has finally closed with a scab, but if he traveled now it would reopen.

He turned to Drysl, "You mind if I stayed a little longer? I need more time to heal." He asked he old man. "If you have more of that 'Night' mushroom?" He said not sure if it was the name, "That would help." He turned to the shoddy made tea, "I don't exactly like drink mushroom tea, but I drink oolong tea, if you have that?" He continued to talk to Drysl.

Cinnamon leapt down and ran over to the dead hawk. She tore at the carcass eating her fill, "Mmm, mmmm so tasty!" She mumbled as she ate. After a few minutes she sat by the remains and licked her fur cleaning out the feathers and droplets of blood stuck to it. She then turned to Cedric and said," Thanks! Now do you mind opening the door on the house for me?" She then ran over to the house door, and sat and waited for Cedric.

"Woah!" Cedric cried.

"Hold on, I got ya"

Cedric loaded his crossbow and took aim. (Thwump!)

The job was done, the hawk was shot down, dead.

Cinnamon had noticed that the sun was rising outside, and the birds were whistling in the trees. She saw Cedric get up and go outside, and so she leapt off the desk that she was sitting on, and ran out the door before he closed it behind himself. She then climbed the nearest tree and nimbly walked along the branches, untill she found a nest in with baby chicks in it. The mother bird was away getting food but the chicks, this would make good appetizers while she waited for the adult bird to come back for breakfast. Cinnamon feasted on the baby chicks and the waited for the mother bird to come back, she hadn't expected the mother bird to be a hawk and with insane speed it attacked Cinnamon. She panicked and lost her footing, and fell from the tree only to land on her feet on the ground below. Cinnamon then ran over, and climbed up Cedric digging her claws in as went. "Save me!" She yelped.

Cedric was tinkering with his bow, he reinforced it with iron, and a tedious system of manually reloading itself.

Cedric went outside to test out his new weapon, passing by Pick and Claribel.

"Hey Pick, have a look here"

Cedric said with a smile on his face, he fired 3 bolts, one at a time, in 2 seconds!

"Don't ask about how it works, it's very tiring to talk about"

Author: Arcane Trickster, Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2017 1:03 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

"Maybe another time beanpole." Pick said referring to the human's height. He looked out the window at Claribel, and supposed he had better go and help her. He left the log and approached her.

"If you're gonna keep falling behind we should put you in the front of the line." He joked.

Author: Nyromix, Posted: Sun Feb 26, 2017 7:41 AM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

"I believe she is still outside" Cedric said, looking out the window.

"Yeah, there she is," Cedric said, pointing out the window.

"Say, do you want to practice our combat later after we get rest? You look like you know your way around a battle" Cedric said to Pick.

"Heck, it might even be fun"

"I suppose that extends to thieves too?" Pick asked Cedric with a smile, "I hope you never find me at the business end of your crossbow." He was still playing with his thieves' tools absentmindedly.

His attention kept darting towards the chest. He remembered reading something about it in Drysl's journal. What was in there? What secret was he hiding?

"No, don't steal from friends." Pick thought to himself as he managed to pry his thoughts back to the conversation at hand and away from the beckoning chest. His gaze shifted to Cedric and his crossbow.

Pick figured with enough underhanded tactics he could probably take the human, or at the very least escape from him, but he wasn't itching to find out. It's wise to choose one's battles after all.

Then he heard Tea's question and blinked, dumbfounded.

"I totally forgot about her." Pick said, his smile slightly fading.

Before Tea's head hit the floor, he caught himself about to sleep. He looked around making sure no one saw his embarrassing moment, after checking each individual he notice Claribel wasn't here.

"Umm, has Claribel come inside the house yet?" Tea asked, still a little tired.

"To be honest, i'm not a craftsman nor a hunter, i'm not a wanderer either" Cedric said with a seriousness in his tone.

"I do what i think is right"

"I can and I will execute corrupt government officials" Cedric explained

"Yet, I don't do it for personal gain, I do it for the better of humanity"

[OOC: In short, Cedric is a vigilante, I personally don't want him to come out as edgy or cheesy. So if I am making him seem like it, please inform me"

Claribel couldn't answer Pick's question nor partake in any lovely yet quickly-prepared tea, for she was still outside with her cloak stuck in a tree. She didn't struggle nor call out for any help, but rather stood there very calmly to carefully unravel it and pull it free.

"Pick, I'm a thief. I'm heading towards Adeluna City to hone my skills." He said fiddling with his theives' tools.

Cedric walked towards the table and put down a tea pot and a teacup

"The name's Cedric, i can craft weapons and shoot animals" Cedric said to Pick

"And you are?"
lar cup
Cedric, instead of pouring tea into a teacup, he poured tea in a regular cup.

Pick strolled into the hermit's loghouse and began shedding his armor. His clothes underneath were drenched in sweat and stained with blood belonging to both him and various monsters. He was ready to put his feet up, and glad to be out of the elements. The sting of the mushrooms still lingered, but he was feeling much better now that he could finally rest.

After a while of resting Pick asked the group, "so, where is everyone from. I think we've been through enough to divulge a little bit about each other."

Tea looked for an empty spot out against a wall, he sat down, curled his legs and began to meditate.

He gave a sigh of relief, "Thank you Drysl, I believe that was your name?" He became relaxed with his eyes closed, almost drifting away from reality, but actually he was falling over about to pass out.

Author: Drysl, Posted: Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:31 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

"It's ok Cinnamon" Drysl said as he picked the jar of fireflies up and put it back on the desk. He then said "And to answer your question I feed the fireflies berry juice from different berries and it causes them to change colors." Drysl then petted Cinnamon a couple times and then sat down on his bed.

Drysl looked at Tea and noticed how very pale he looked and said "are you ok? your really pale you look like your about to faint! maybe you better sit down, I should check you for spider bites. There are some very poisonous spiders in these woods you may have been bitten."

Tea waited outside of the home, he wanted to clean his foot and rewrap his wound before walking in. Tea took his boots off, the foot was blood covered. He groaned in pain, "Damn beast." He said tossing the bloody wrap away. He took out his last wrap from his pack and begin wrapping.

The wrapping motion made him feel a bit dizzy just looking at it, "Oh, that's not good." He said to himself. Once was done he pushed himself up, the rush made him almost stumble back down. "All you got to do is get inside." He continued to say to himself.

He stumbled a little as he walked to the door, holding on to anything sturdy. Once he walked in he immediately asked, "Is there a spot I can meditate at?" He looked a little pale and had drowsy eyes.

Cinnamon was excited to finally see the old mans house! She ran inside at his invitation, "this house is so nice!" She exclaimed she then jumped up on the wooden desk, and  stared at the fireflies in the jar, watching them buzzing around. "Where did you find such colorful bugs!" She asked as she watched them. Instinctively she swatted at the jar with her paw, in an attempt to swat at one of the fireflies. The jar fell off the desk, and landed on the floor but it didn't break. "I'm so sorry!" She said, tucking her ears against her head in shame.

Cedric found some water, and he started grinding up the mushrooms and put them into a teapot. He then heated up the water with the powdered mushrooms inside with his fire. After it was ready, he called out

"Tea's ready" as he was adding Honey to the tea.

"I'm not fancy, and i'm not an expert in making tea, so enjoy it if you want."

"Yes you may make tea, the fire place is over there, though you may have to grab some wood for it from the pile beside the house." Drysl Replied to Cedric's comment.

Drysl smiled at Cedric hastefully making himself at home in his house, and invited the remaining people in.

Author: Drysl, Posted: Fri Feb 24, 2017 9:31 PM, Post Subject: Warm Hearth [P]

Drysl's house was built into a massive fallen tree. The door was set into the end and it had a porch before it. On one side of the door sitting on the porch was a rocking chair, and it had windows along the trunk on one side. There was a garden outside of his house, that had a multitude of Different Herbs and spices growing in it.

On the inside of Drysl's house the walls were covered in carvings of dragons and great battles that Drysl had spent a long time carving. Every dragon carved into the wood had little ruby gemstones for eyes and every knight was outlined with silver. Along the left wall was a table with three chairs and a wooden desk with papers strewn all over it and a jar of multicolored fireflies to provide light. Set into the center of the right wall was a stone fire place, with shelves on either side of it. These shelves had an assortment of jars containing, a variety of different jellies and pickled vegetables. At the far end of the house was Drysl's bed and a large chest with a big lock on it.

"May i make tea?" Cedric asked, taking off his jacket and rolling up his white sleeves.

He wrote down what happened during the day on his journal. Cedric was feeling a bit exhausted, but he doesn't feel sleepy in the slightest.

"Say, where do you get water from around here?"
