The large, greyish green, reptilian figure swam north, upstream, the top of his head and bits of the back slightly above the water, just enough for his eyes to break the surface. He would be easily mistaken for a log or a plant floating in the water at times, but now He was moving upstream, against the low current.

It's been a week now since he had left the swamp, and he needed rest, for he rested very little. The Twelve foot long crocodile rose from the water, and as he did, he started transforming into a more human figure, becoming what looked like a cross between a man and a crocodile, with moss-green scales with long oily-black hair, a shendyt around his waist and a staff in his hand, and his khopesh in his belt. He made camp and rested until dawn, then moved at first light.

The crocodile had rested under a tree, and when the sun appeared over the horizon, he rose and prepared to plunge back into the river. He glanced at the hill to his right, beyond which the sun slowly rose.

Although the Orc hordes had moved Northward from the Bohari plains, Cha'Kwe'Tza had encountered a few stragglers here and there. Coming out the victor in his latest skirmish with a handful of the greenskins, the Reptilian was in pursuit of the final living member. The beast had run at first sight of Cha'Kwe'Tza's charge, and had a sizeable head start on him, but the scaled warrior was quickly closing the gap. As the sky grew brighter with the promise of the sun's rising soon, Cha'Kwe'Tza could make out the figure of the running Orc in front of a small stand of trees. Stopping long enough to raise the bow in his hand, Cha'Kwe'Tza loosed a fiery arrow in a high arc before taking off again. Ahead, the Orc stumbled at the edge of the tree line as the arrow sailed past the first tree trunk and buried itself in its lower leg. Watching his prey stagger, Cha'Kwe'Tza roared his pleasure as he drew his sword and picked up speed so he could finish off the wounded Orc.

Tavor N'eveth turned and was about to plunge into the river when a particular foul stench reached his nostrils. It was a familiar odour, that which belonged to an Orc. He turned towards the smell, and it came from over the hill. There was the sound of rustling leaves, probably a bear or some other large creature, and the clink of Orc armour; of chain on chain on leather. There was a screech of pain, certainly from the Orc, followed by a great roar as the ground shook; something large, heavier than a bear, was charging. It was not the Orc, for Orcs were not of much weight. He would find out next, but first he had to remove the Orc from existence, from the world of the living. Raising his staff and pointing the crook at the tip towards the river, the crocodile summoned a great arc of water from the river, which landed on the Orc, for it was ordered to drown the creature. The liquid found its way through the victim's lungs, and the foul creature fell to the ground rolling to the foot of the hill.

Tavor N'eveth stood upon the crest of the hill, watching as the Orc sputtered and spat, but the water remained in his lungs, until at last the enemy was drowned, life drained, and lay lifeless on the ground. But the crocodile's reptilian eyes had landed on something else. The charger; a great creature, a reptilian, almost like he. His weapons of rock and stone lay in his hands. The beast was large, but not one of those mindless beings. Not a bear, certainly. Stronger than a bear. More powerful. The crocodile let out an inaudible growl, his eyes flickering to the dead orc, to the puddle of mud where the orc was when the water hit, to the reptilian, who was shorter than he was.

Was he, too, once a god, who was forced, banished, from his lands to this foreign locale ? Or was he born here ? The latter seemed less likely, yet he didn't have the looks of a god. Nevertheless, his might felt. The crocodile stood still, watching the reptile, ready to strike if he had to.

(((OOC: Sorry for the delay)))

Following the trail of blood and disturbed undergrowth that marked the wounded Orc's path, Cha'Kwe'Tza ran through the small stand of trees. From ahead, he heard the sound of water moving. It was as if a roaring waterfall or rapids had come from nowhere. Slowling his pace slightly, Cha'Kwe'Tza saw a wave of water rise up and wash over the Orc before draining back into the river. Nostrils flaring as he breathed deeply, the warrior saw another just across the bank from him. The creature he saw was similar to him, although slimmer in body and taller in height. Wary of what the other might do or think of Cha'Kwe'Tza appearing so abruptly and openly armed, he proceeded cautiously to the drowned corpse of the Orc.

Kneeling in the dampened earth beside the body, Cha'Kwe'Tza tore an armband with bits of bone from the body. In his experience humans were always willing to trade silver for trinkets and baubles like this. Placing the band in the pouch hanging from his side, Cha'Kwe'Tza stepped over the body, letting the water of the river wash over his clawed feet. Nodding his head and sheathing his sword, he spoke to the other Reptilian, "Spawn-Kin, is good omen to meet here. I am known as Cha'Kwe'Tza. How are you known?" Although not likely, Cha'Kwe'Tza wondered if the being he spoke to was from another spawning in his homeland, sent on a similar mission, or perhaps to aid him in his.
